فمازالت تلك دعواهم حتي جعلناهم حصيدا خامدين

[YA]: And that cry of theirs ceased not, till We made them as a field that is mown, as ashes silent and quenched.

[RK]:This continued to be their proclamation, until we completely wiped them out.

In kanat illa sayhatanwahidatan fa-itha hum khamidoona

ان كانت الا صيحة واحدة فاذا هم خامدون

[YA]: It was no more than a single mighty Blast, and behold! they were (like ashes) quenched and silent.

[RK]:All it took was one blow, whereupon they were stilled.
