Yoosufu aAArid AAan hatha waistaghfireelithanbiki innaki kunti mina alkhati-eenaيوسف اعرض عن هذا واستغفري لذنبك انك كنت من الخاطئين
[YA]: "O Joseph, pass this over! (O wife), ask forgiveness for thy sin, for truly thou hast been at fault!"

[RK]:"Joseph, disregard this incident. As for you (my wife), you should seek forgiveness for your sin. You have committed an error."

Qaloo taAllahi laqad atharakaAllahu AAalayna wa-in kunna lakhati-eenaقالوا تالله لقد اثرك الله علينا وان كنا لخاطئين
[YA]: They said: "By Allah! indeed has Allah preferred thee above us, and we certainly have been guilty of sin!"

[RK]:They said, "By GOD, GOD has truly preferred you over us. We were definitely wrong."

Qaloo ya abanaistaghfir lana thunoobana inna kunnakhati-eenaقالوا ياابانا استغفر لنا ذنوبنا انا كنا خاطئين
[YA]: They said: "O our father! ask for us forgiveness for our sins, for we were truly at fault."

[RK]:They said, "Our father, pray for our forgiveness; we were wrong indeed."

Failtaqatahu alufirAAawna liyakoona lahum AAaduwwan wahazanan innafirAAawna wahamana wajunoodahuma kanookhati-eenaفالتقطه ال فرعون ليكون لهم عدوا وحزنا ان فرعون وهامان وجنودهما كانوا خاطئين
[YA]: Then the people of Pharaoh picked him up (from the river): (It was intended) that (Moses) should be to them an adversary and a cause of sorrow: for Pharaoh and Haman and (all) their hosts were men of sin.

[RK]:Pharaoh's family picked him up, only to have him lead the opposition and to be a source of grief for them. That is because Pharaoh, Hamaan, and their troops were transgressors.

Wajaa firAAawnu waman qablahu waalmu/tafikatubialkhati-atiوجاء فرعون ومن قبله والمؤتفكات بالخاطئة
[YA]: And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin.

[RK]:Pharaoh, others before him, and the sinners (of Sodom) were wicked.

[YA]: "Which none do eat but those in sin."

[RK]:Food for the sinners.
