[YA]: When We give men a taste of Mercy, they exult thereat: and when some evil afflicts them because of what their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair! [RK]:When we bestow mercy upon the people, they rejoice therein. But when adversity befalls them, as a consequence of their own works, they become despondent. | ||||

[YA]: Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [RK]:Proclaim: "O My servants who exceeded the limits, never despair of GOD's mercy. For GOD forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful." | ||||

[YA]: Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair. [RK]:The human being never tires of imploring for good things. And when adversity befalls him, he turns despondent, desperate. | ||||

[YA]: He is the One that sends down rain (even) after (men) have given up all hope, and scatters His Mercy (far and wide). And He is the Protector, Worthy of all Praise. [RK]:He is the One who sends down the rain after they had despaired, and spreads His mercy. He is the only Master, Most Praiseworthy. | ||||
