Warasoolan ila banee isra-eelaannee qad ji/tukum bi-ayatin min rabbikum annee akhluqulakum mina altteeni kahay-ati alttayrifaanfukhu feehi fayakoonu tayran bi-ithni Allahiwaobri-o al-akmaha waal-abrasa waohyeealmawta bi-ithni Allahi waonabbi-okum bimata/kuloona wama taddakhiroona fee buyootikum inna fee thalikalaayatan lakum in kuntum mu/mineena

ورسولا الي بني اسرائيل اني قد جئتكم باية من ربكم اني اخلق لكم من الطين كهيئة الطير فانفخ فيه فيكون طيرا باذن الله وابري الاكمه والابرص واحيي الموتي باذن الله وانبئكم بما تاكلون وماتدخرون في بيوتكم ان في ذلك لاية لكم ان كنتم مؤمنين

[YA]: "And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "'I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;

[RK]:As a messenger to the Children of Israel: "I come to you with a sign from your Lord - I create for you from clay the shape of a bird, then I blow into it, and it becomes a live bird by GOD's leave. I restore vision to the blind, heal the leprous, and I revive the dead by GOD's leave. I can tell you what you eat, and what you store in your homes. This should be a proof for you, if you are believers.

Ith qala Allahu yaAAeesa ibna maryama othkur niAAmatee AAalaykawaAAala walidatika ith ayyadtuka biroohialqudusi tukallimu alnnasa fee almahdi wakahlanwa-ith AAallamtuka alkitaba waalhikmatawaalttawrata waal-injeela wa-ithtakhluqu mina altteeni kahay-ati alttayribi-ithnee fatanfukhu feeha fatakoonu tayranbi-ithnee watubri-o al-akmaha waal-abrasabi-ithnee wa-ith tukhriju almawta bi-ithneewa-ith kafaftu banee isra-eela AAanka ithji/tahum bialbayyinati faqala allatheenakafaroo minhum in hatha illa sihrun mubeenun

اذ قال الله ياعيسي ابن مريم اذكر نعمتي عليك وعلي والدتك اذ ايدتك بروح القدس تكلم الناس في المهد وكهلا واذ علمتك الكتاب والحكمة والتوراة والانجيل واذ تخلق من الطين كهيئة الطير باذني فتنفخ فيها فتكون طيرا باذني وتبري الاكمه والابرص باذني واذ تخرج الموتي باذني واذ كففت بني اسرائيل عنك اذ جئتهم بالبينات فقال الذين كفروا منهم ان هذا الا سحر مبين

[YA]: Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'

[RK]:GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, remember My blessings upon you and your mother. I supported you with the Holy Spirit, to enable you to speak to the people from the crib, as well as an adult. I taught you the scripture, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel. Recall that you created from clay the shape of a bird by My leave, then blew into it, and it became a live bird by My leave. You healed the blind and the leprous by My leave, and revived the dead by My leave. Recall that I protected you from the Children of Israel who wanted to hurt you, despite the profound miracles you had shown them. The disbelievers among them said, `This is obviously magic.'

Huwa allathee khalaqakum min teeninthumma qada ajalan waajalun musamman AAindahu thumma antumtamtaroona

هو الذي خلقكم من طين ثم قضي اجلا واجل مسمي عنده ثم انتم تمترون

[YA]: He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!

[RK]:He is the One who created you from mud, then predetermined your life span, a life span that is known only to Him. Yet, you continue to doubt.

Qala ma manaAAaka allatasjuda ith amartuka qala ana khayrun minhukhalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin

قال مامنعك الا تسجد اذ امرتك قال انا خير منه خلقتني من نار وخلقته من طين

[YA]: (Allah) said: "What prevented thee from prostrating when I commanded thee?" He said: "I am better than he: Thou didst create me from fire, and him from clay."

[RK]:He said, "What prevented you from prostrating when I ordered you?" He said, "I am better than he; You created me from fire, and created him from mud."

Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa qalaaasjudu liman khalaqta teenan

واذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لادم فسجدوا الا ابليس قال ءاسجد لمن خلقت طينا

[YA]: Behold! We said to the angels: "Bow down unto Adam": They bowed down except Iblis: He said, "Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?"

[RK]:When we said to the angels, "Fall prostrate before Adam," they fell prostrate, except Satan. He said, "Shall I prostrate to one You created from mud?"

ولقد خلقنا الانسان من سلالة من طين

[YA]: Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay);

[RK]:We created the human being from a certain kind of mud.

Waqala firAAawnu ya ayyuhaalmalao ma AAalimtu lakum min ilahin ghayreefaawqid lee ya hamanu AAala altteenifaijAAal lee sarhan laAAallee attaliAAuila ilahi moosa wa-innee laathunnuhumina alkathibeena

وقال فرعون ياايها الملا ماعلمت لكم من اله غيري فاوقد لي ياهامان علي الطين فاجعل لي صرحا لعلي اطلع الي اله موسي واني لاظنه من الكاذبين

[YA]: Pharaoh said: "O Chiefs! no god do I know for you but myself: therefore, O Haman! light me a (kiln to bake bricks) out of clay, and build me a lofty palace, that I may mount up to the god of Moses: but as far as I am concerned, I think (Moses) is a liar!"

[RK]:Pharaoh said, "O you elders, I have not known of any god for you other than me. Therefore, fire the adobe, O Hamaan, in order to build a tower, that I may take a look at the god of Moses. I am sure that he is a liar."

Allathee ahsana kulla shay-inkhalaqahu wabadaa khalqa al-insani min teenin

الذي احسن كل شئ خلقه وبدا خلق الانسان من طين

[YA]: He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay,

[RK]:He is the One who perfected everything He created, and started the creation of the human from clay.

Faistaftihim ahum ashaddu khalqan amman khalaqna inna khalaqnahum min teeninlazibin

فاستفتهم اهم اشد خلقا ام من خلقنا انا خلقناهم من طين لازب

[YA]: Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!

[RK]:Ask them, "Are they more difficult to create, or the other creations?" We created them from wet mud.

Ith qala rabbuka lilmala-ikatiinnee khaliqun basharan min teenin

اذ قال ربك للملائكة اني خالق بشرا من طين

[YA]: Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay:

[RK]:Your Lord said to the angels, "I am creating a human being from clay.

Qala ana khayrun minhukhalaqtanee min narin wakhalaqtahu min teenin

قال انا خير منه خلقتني من نار وخلقته من طين

[YA]: (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay."

[RK]:He said, "I am better than he; You created me from fire, and created him from clay."

لنرسل عليهم حجارة من طين

[YA]: "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone),

[RK]:"We will shower them with rocks of clay.
