Alahum arjulun yamshoona biha amlahum aydin yabtishoona biha am lahum aAAyunun yubsiroonabiha am lahum athanun yasmaAAoona biha quliodAAoo shurakaakum thumma keedooni fala tunthirooniالهم ارجل يمشون بها ام لهم ايد يبطشون بها ام لهم اعين يبصرون بها ام لهم اذان يسمعون بها قل ادعوا شركاءكم ثم كيدون فلاتنظرون
[YA]: Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your 'god-partners', scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite!

[RK]:Do they have legs on which they walk? Do they have hands with which they defend themselves? Do they have eyes with which they see? Do they have ears with which they hear? Say, "Call upon your idols, and ask them to smite me without delay.

[YA]: "And when ye exert your strong hand, do ye do it like men of absolute power?

[RK]:"And when you strike, you strike mercilessly.

Falamma an arada an yabtishabiallathee huwa AAaduwwun lahuma qalaya moosa atureedu an taqtulanee kama qataltanafsan bial-amsi in tureedu illa an takoona jabbaranfee al-ardi wama tureedu an takoona mina almusliheenaفلما ان اراد ان يبطش بالذي هو عدو لهما قال ياموسي اتريد ان تقتلني كما قتلت نفسا بالامس ان تريد الا ان تكون جبارا في الارض وماتريد ان تكون من المصلحين
[YA]: Then, when he decided to lay hold of the man who was an enemy to both of them, that man said: "O Moses! Is it thy intention to slay me as thou slewest a man yesterday? Thy intention is none other than to become a powerful violent man in the land, and not to be one who sets things right!"

[RK]:Before he attempted to strike their common enemy, he said, "O Moses, do you want to kill me, as you killed the other man yesterday? Obviously, you wish to be a tyrant on earth; you do not wish to be righteous."

Faahlakna ashadda minhum batshanwamada mathalu al-awwaleenaفاهلكنا اشد منهم بطشا ومضي مثل الاولين
[YA]: So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old.

[RK]:Consequently, we annihilated people who were even more powerful than these. We thus set the examples from the previous communities.

Yawma nabtishu albatshataalkubra inna muntaqimoonaيوم نبطش البطشة الكبري انا منتقمون
[YA]: One day We shall seize you with a mighty onslaught: We will indeed (then) exact Retribution!

[RK]:The day we strike the big stroke, we will avenge.

[YA]: One day We shall seize you with a mighty onslaught: We will indeed (then) exact Retribution!

[RK]:The day we strike the big stroke, we will avenge.

Wakam ahlakna qablahum min qarnin humashaddu minhum batshan fanaqqaboo fee albiladi halmin maheesinوكم اهلكنا قبلهم من قرن رهم اشد منهم بطشا فنقبوا في البلاد هل من محيص
[YA]: But how many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins),- stronger in power than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape (for them)?

[RK]:Many a generation before them, who were more powerful, we annihilated. They searched the land; did they find an escape?

Walaqad antharahum batshatanafatamaraw bialnnuthuriولقد انذرهم بطشتنا فتماروا بالنذر
[YA]: And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning.

[RK]:He warned them about our requital, but they ridiculed the warnings.

Inna batsha rabbika lashadeedunان بطش ربك لشديد
[YA]: Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord.

[RK]:Indeed, your Lord's blow is severe.
