Qul man kana AAaduwwan lijibreelafa-innahu nazzalahu AAala qalbika bi-ithni Allahimusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi wahudan wabushralilmu/mineenaقل من كان عدوا لجبريل فانه نزله علي قلبك باذن الله مصدقا لما بين يديه وهدي وبشري للمؤمنين
[YA]: Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel-for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will, a confirmation of what went before, and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe,-

[RK]:Say, "Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought down this (Quran) into your heart, in accordance with GOD's will, confirming previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers."

Man kana AAaduwwan lillahiwamala-ikatihi warusulihi wajibreela wameekalafa-inna Allaha AAaduwwun lilkafireenaمن كان عدوا لله وملائكته ورسله وجبريل وميكال فان الله عدو للكافرين
[YA]: Whoever is an enemy to Allah and His angels and messengers, to Gabriel and Michael,- Lo! Allah is an enemy to those who reject Faith.

[RK]:Anyone who opposes GOD, and His angels, and His messengers, and Gabriel and Michael, should know that GOD opposes the disbelievers.

Qaloo ya moosa innafeeha qawman jabbareena wa-inna lannadkhulaha hatta yakhrujoo minhafa-in yakhrujoo minha fa-inna dakhiloonaقالوا ياموسي ان فيها قوما جبارين وانا لن ندخلها حتي يخرجوا منها فان يخرجوا منها فانا داخلون
[YA]: They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter."

[RK]:They said, "O Moses, there are powerful people in it, and we will not enter it, unless they get out of it. If they get out, we are entering."

Watilka AAadun jahadoo bi-ayatirabbihim waAAasaw rusulahu waittabaAAoo amra kullijabbarin AAaneedinوتلك عاد جحدوا بايات ربهم وعصوا رسله واتبعوا امر كل جبار عنيد
[YA]: Such were the 'Ad People: they rejected the Signs of their Lord and Cherisher; disobeyed His messengers; And followed the command of every powerful, obstinate transgressor.

[RK]:Such was `Aad - they disregarded the revelations of their Lord, disobeyed His messengers, and followed the ways of every stubborn tyrant.

[YA]: But they sought victory and decision (there and then), and frustration was the lot of every powerful obstinate transgressor.

[RK]:They issued a challenge, and consequently, every stubborn tyrant ended up doomed.

Wabarran biwalidayhi walam yakun jabbaranAAasiyyanوبرا بوالديه ولم يكن جبارا عصيا
[YA]: And kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious.

[RK]:He honored his parents, and was never a disobedient tyrant.

[YA]: "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;

[RK]:"I am to honor my mother; He did not make me a disobedient rebel.

[YA]: "And when ye exert your strong hand, do ye do it like men of absolute power?

[RK]:"And when you strike, you strike mercilessly.

Falamma an arada an yabtishabiallathee huwa AAaduwwun lahuma qalaya moosa atureedu an taqtulanee kama qataltanafsan bial-amsi in tureedu illa an takoona jabbaranfee al-ardi wama tureedu an takoona mina almusliheenaفلما ان اراد ان يبطش بالذي هو عدو لهما قال ياموسي اتريد ان تقتلني كما قتلت نفسا بالامس ان تريد الا ان تكون جبارا في الارض وماتريد ان تكون من المصلحين
[YA]: Then, when he decided to lay hold of the man who was an enemy to both of them, that man said: "O Moses! Is it thy intention to slay me as thou slewest a man yesterday? Thy intention is none other than to become a powerful violent man in the land, and not to be one who sets things right!"

[RK]:Before he attempted to strike their common enemy, he said, "O Moses, do you want to kill me, as you killed the other man yesterday? Obviously, you wish to be a tyrant on earth; you do not wish to be righteous."

Allatheena yujadiloona fee ayatiAllahi bighayri sultanin atahum kaburamaqtan AAinda Allahi waAAinda allatheena amanookathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala kulliqalbi mutakabbirin jabbarinالذين يجادلون في ايات الله بغير سلطان اتاهم كبر مقتا عند الله وعند الذين امنوا كذلك يطبع الله علي كل قلب متكبر جبار
[YA]: "(Such) as dispute about the Signs of Allah, without any authority that hath reached them, grievous and odious (is such conduct) in the sight of Allah and of the Believers. Thus doth Allah, seal up every heart - of arrogant and obstinate Transgressors."

[RK]:They argue against GOD's revelations, without any basis. This is a trait that is most abhorred by GOD and by those who believe. GOD thus seals the hearts of every arrogant tyrant.

Nahnu aAAlamu bima yaqooloonawama anta AAalayhim bijabbarin fathakkir bialqur-animan yakhafu waAAeediنحن اعلم بما يقولون وماانت عليهم بجبار فذكر بالقران من يخاف وعيد
[YA]: We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur'an such as fear My Warning!

[RK]:We are fully aware of everything they utter, while you have no power over them. Therefore, remind with this Quran, those who reverence My warnings.

Huwa Allahu allathee lailaha illa huwa almaliku alquddoosu alssalamualmu/minu almuhayminu alAAazeezu aljabbaru almutakabbirusubhana Allahi AAamma yushrikoonaهو الله الذي لا اله الا هو الملك القدوس السلام المؤمن المهيمن العزيز الجبار المتكبر سبحان الله عما يشركون
[YA]: Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god;- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.

[RK]:He is the One GOD; there is no other god beside Him. The King, the Most Sacred, the Peace, the Most Faithful, the Supreme, the Almighty, the Most Powerful, the Most Dignified. GOD be glorified; far above having partners.

In tatooba ila Allahifaqad saghat quloobukuma wa-in tathaharaAAalayhi fa-inna Allaha huwa mawlahu wajibreelu wasalihualmu/mineena waalmala-ikatu baAAda thalika thaheerunان تتوبا الي الله فقد صغت قلوبكما وان تظاهرا عليه فان الله هو مولاه وجبريل وصالح المؤمنين والملائكة بعد ذلك ظهير
[YA]: If ye two turn in repentance to Him, your hearts are indeed so inclined; But if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,- and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up.

[RK]:If the two of you repent to GOD, then your hearts have listened. But if you band together against him, then GOD is his ally, and so is Gabriel and the righteous believers. Also, the angels are his helpers.
