قالوا سبحانك لاعلم لنا الا ماعلمتنا انك انت العليم الحكيم

[YA]: They said: "Glory to Thee, of knowledge We have none, save what Thou Hast taught us: In truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom."

[RK]:They said, "Be You glorified, we have no knowledge, except that which You have taught us. You are the Omniscient, Most Wise."

Waqaloo itakhatha Allahuwaladan subhanahu bal lahu ma fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi kullun lahu qanitoona

وقالوا اتخذ الله ولدا سبحانه بل له مافي السماوات والارض كل له قانتون

[YA]: They say: "Allah hath begotten a son" :Glory be to Him.-Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: everything renders worship to Him.

[RK]:They said, "GOD has begotten a son!" Be He glorified; never! To Him belongs everything in the heavens and the earth; all are subservient to Him.

Qala rabbi ijAAal lee ayatan qalaayatuka alla tukallima alnnasa thalathataayyamin illa ramzan waothkur rabbakakatheeran wasabbih bialAAashiyyi waal-ibkari

قال رب اجعل لي اية قال ايتك الا تكلم الناس ثلاثة ايام الا رمزا واذكر ربك كثيرا وسبح بالعشي والابكار

[YA]: He said: "O my Lord! Give me a Sign!" "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three days but with signals. Then celebrate the praises of thy Lord again and again, and glorify Him in the evening and in the morning."

[RK]:He said, "My Lord, give me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three days, except through signals. Commemorate your Lord frequently; and meditate night and day."

Allatheena yathkuroona Allahaqiyaman waquAAoodan waAAala junoobihimwayatafakkaroona fee khalqi alssamawati waal-ardirabbana ma khalaqta hatha batilan subhanakafaqina AAathaba alnnari

الذين يذكرون الله قياما وقعودا وعلي جنوبهم ويتفكرون في خلق السماوات والارض ربنا ماخلقت هذا باطلا سبحانك فقنا عذاب النار

[YA]: Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.

[RK]:They remember GOD while standing, sitting, and on their sides, and they reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth: "Our Lord, You did not create all this in vain. Be You glorified. Save us from the retribution of Hell.

Ya ahla alkitabi lataghloo fee deenikum wala taqooloo AAala Allahiilla alhaqqa innama almaseehu AAeesaibnu maryama rasoolu Allahi wakalimatuhu alqahaila maryama waroohun minhu faaminoo biAllahiwarusulihi wala taqooloo thalathatun intahookhayran lakum innama Allahu ilahun wahidunsubhanahu an yakoona lahu waladun lahu ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi wakafa biAllahiwakeelan

يااهل الكتاب لاتغلوا في دينكم ولاتقولوا علي الله الا الحق انما المسيح عيسي ابن مريم رسول الله وكلمته القاها الي مريم وروح منه فامنوا بالله ورسله ولاتقولوا ثلاثة انتهوا خيرا لكم انما الله اله واحد سبحانه ان يكون له ولد له مافي السماوات ومافي الارض وكفي بالله وكيلا

[YA]: O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

[RK]:O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion, and do not say about GOD except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was a messenger of GOD, and His word that He had sent to Mary, and a revelation from Him. Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messengers. You shall not say, "Trinity." You shall refrain from this for your own good. GOD is only one god. Be He glorified; He is much too glorious to have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. GOD suffices as Lord and Master.

Wa-ith qala Allahu yaAAeesa ibna maryama aanta qulta lilnnasiittakhithoonee waommiya ilahayni min dooni Allahiqala subhanaka ma yakoonu lee an aqoola malaysa lee bihaqqin in kuntu qultuhu faqad AAalimtahutaAAlamu ma fee nafsee wala aAAlamu ma feenafsika innaka anta AAallamu alghuyoobi

واذ قال الله ياعيسي ابن مريم ءانت قلت للناس اتخذوني وامي الهين من دون الله قال سبحانك مايكون لي ان اقول ماليس لي بحق ان كنت قلته فقد علمته تعلم مافي نفسي ولااعلم مافي نفسك انك انت علام الغيوب

[YA]: And behold! Allah will say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. Thou knowest what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou knowest in full all that is hidden.

[RK]:GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Make me and my mother idols beside GOD?' " He will say, "Be You glorified. I could not utter what was not right. Had I said it, You already would have known it. You know my thoughts, and I do not know Your thoughts. You know all the secrets.

WajaAAaloo lillahi shurakaaaljinna wakhalaqahum wakharaqoo lahu baneena wabanatinbighayri AAilmin subhanahu wataAAala AAammayasifoona

وجعلوا لله شركاء الجن وخلقهم وخرقوا له بنين وبنات بغير علم سبحانه وتعالي عما يصفون

[YA]: Yet they make the Jinns equals with Allah, though Allah did create the Jinns; and they falsely, having no knowledge, attribute to Him sons and daughters. Praise and glory be to Him! (for He is) above what they attribute to Him!

[RK]:Yet, they set up beside GOD idols from among the jinns, though He is the One who created them. They even attribute to Him sons and daughters, without any knowledge. Be He glorified. He is the Most High, far above their claims.

Walamma jaa moosalimeeqatina wakallamahu rabbuhu qala rabbiarinee anthur ilayka qala lan taraneewalakini onthur ila aljabali fa-iniistaqarra makanahu fasawfa taranee falammatajalla rabbuhu liljabali jaAAalahu dakkan wakharra moosasaAAiqan falamma afaqa qala subhanakatubtu ilayka waana awwalu almu/mineena

ولما جاء موسي لميقاتنا وكلمه ربه قال رب ارني انظر اليك قال لن تراني ولكن انظر الي الجبل فان استقر مكانه فسوف تراني فلما تجلي ربه للجبل جعله دكا وخر موسي صعقا فلما افاق قال سبحانك تبت اليك وانا اول المؤمنين

[YA]: When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe."

[RK]:When Moses came at our appointed time, and his Lord spoke with him, he said, "My Lord, let me look and see You." He said, "You cannot see Me. Look at that mountain; if it stays in its place, then you can see Me." Then, his Lord manifested Himself to the mountain, and this caused it to crumble. Moses fell unconscious. When he came to, he said, "Be You glorified. I repent to You, and I am the most convinced believer."

Inna allatheena AAinda rabbika layastakbiroona AAan AAibadatihi wayusabbihoonahuwalahu yasjudoona

ان الذين عند ربك لايستكبرون عن عبادته ويسبحونه وله يسجدون

[YA]: Those who are near to thy Lord, disdain not to do Him worship: They celebrate His praises, and prostrate before Him.

[RK]:Those at your Lord are never too proud to worship Him; they glorify Him and fall prostrate before Him.

Ittakhathoo ahbarahumwaruhbanahum arbaban min dooni Allahi waalmaseehaibna maryama wama omiroo illa liyaAAbudoo ilahanwahidan la ilaha illa huwa subhanahuAAamma yushrikoona

اتخذوا احبارهم ورهبانهم اربابا من دون الله والمسيح ابن مريم وماامروا الا ليعبدوا الها واحدا لا اله الا هو سبحانه عما يشركون

[YA]: They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).

[RK]:They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.

DaAAwahum feeha subhanakaallahumma watahiyyatuhum feeha salamunwaakhiru daAAwahum ani alhamdu lillahirabbi alAAalameena

دعواهم فيها سبحانك اللهم وتحيتهم فيها سلام واخر دعواهم ان الحمد لله رب العالمين

[YA]: (This will be) their cry therein: "Glory to Thee, O Allah!" And "Peace" will be their greeting therein! and the close of their cry will be: "Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!"

[RK]:Their prayer therein is: "Be You glorified, our god," their greeting therein is, "Peace," and their ultimate prayer is: "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe."

WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi mala yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum wayaqooloonahaola-i shufaAAaona AAinda Allahiqul atunabbi-oona Allaha bima la yaAAlamufee alssamawati wala fee al-ardisubhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

ويعبدون من دون الله مالا يضرهم ولاينفعهم ويقولون هؤلاء شفعاؤنا عند الله قل اتنبئون الله بما لايعلم في السماوات ولافي الارض سبحانه وتعالي عما يشركون

[YA]: They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!"

[RK]:They worship beside GOD idols that possess no power to harm them or benefit them, and they say, "These are our intercessors at GOD!" Say, "Are you informing GOD of something He does not know in the heavens or the earth?" Be He glorified. He is the Most High; far above needing partners.

Qaloo ittakhatha Allahuwaladan subhanahu huwa alghaniyyu lahu ma fee alssamawatiwama fee al-ardi in AAindakum min sultaninbihatha ataqooloona AAala Allahi ma lataAAlamoona

قالوا اتخذ الله ولدا سبحانه هو الغني له مافي السماوات ومافي الارض ان عندكم من سلطان بهذا اتقولون علي الله مالاتعلمون

[YA]: They say: "Allah hath begotten a son!" - Glory be to Him! He is self-sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrant have ye for this! say ye about Allah what ye know not?

[RK]:They said, "GOD has begotten a son!" Be He glorified. He is the Most Rich. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. You have no proof to support such a blasphemy. Are you saying about GOD what you do not know?

Qul hathihi sabeelee adAAoo ilaAllahi AAala baseeratin ana wamaniittabaAAanee wasubhana Allahi wama anamina almushrikeena

قل هذه سبيلي ادعو الي الله علي بصيرة انا ومن اتبعني وسبحان الله وما انا من المشركين

[YA]: Say thou: "This is my way: I do invite unto Allah,- on evidence clear as the seeing with one's eyes,- I and whoever follows me. Glory to Allah! and never will I join gods with Allah!"

[RK]:Say, "This is my path: I invite to GOD, on the basis of a clear proof, and so do those who follow me. GOD be glorified. I am not an idol worshiper."

Wayusabbihu alrraAAdu bihamdihiwaalmala-ikatu min kheefatihi wayursilu alssawaAAiqafayuseebu biha man yashao wahum yujadiloonafee Allahi wahuwa shadeedu almihali

ويسبح الرعد بحمده والملائكة من خيفته ويرسل الصواعق فيصيب بها من يشاء وهم يجادلون في الله وهو شديد المحال

[YA]: Nay, thunder repeateth His praises, and so do the angels, with awe: He flingeth the loud-voiced thunder-bolts, and therewith He striketh whomsoever He will..yet these (are the men) who (dare to) dispute about Allah, with the strength of His power (supreme)!

[RK]:The thunder praises His glory, and so do the angels, out of reverence for Him. He sends the lightning bolts, which strike in accordance with His will. Yet, they argue about GOD, though His power is awesome.

Fasabbih bihamdi rabbika wakunmina alssajideena

فسبح بحمد ربك وكن من الساجدين

[YA]: But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.

[RK]:You shall sing the praises of your Lord, and be with the prostrators.

Ata amru Allahi falatastaAAjiloohu subhanahu wataAAala AAammayushrikoona

اتي امر الله فلاتستعجلوه سبحانه وتعالي عما يشركون

[YA]: (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him!

[RK]:GOD's command has already been issued (and everything has already been written), so do not rush it. Be He glorified; the Most High, far above any idols they set up.

ويجعلون لله البنات سبحانه ولهم مايشتهون

[YA]: And they assign daughters for Allah! - Glory be to Him! - and for themselves (sons,- the issue) they desire!

[RK]:They even assign daughters to GOD, be He glorified, while they prefer for themselves what they like.

Subhana allathee asrabiAAabdihi laylan mina almasjidi alharami ilaalmasjidi al-aqsa allathee barakna hawlahulinuriyahu min ayatina innahu huwa alssameeAAualbaseeru

سبحان الذي اسري بعبده ليلا من المسجد الحرام الي المسجد الاقصا الذي باركنا حوله لنريه من اياتنا انه هو السميع البصير

[YA]: Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things).

[RK]:Most glorified is the One who summoned His servant (Muhammad) during the night, from the Sacred Masjid (of Mecca) to the farthest place of prostration, whose surroundings we have blessed, in order to show him some of our signs. He is the Hearer, the Seer.

Subhanahu wataAAalaAAamma yaqooloona AAuluwwan kabeeran

سبحانه وتعالي عما يقولون علوا كبيرا

[YA]: Glory to Him! He is high above all that they say!- Exalted and Great (beyond measure)!

[RK]:Be He glorified, He is much too exalted, far above their utterances.

Tusabbihu lahu alssamawatualssabAAu waal-ardu waman feehinna wa-in minshay-in illa yusabbihu bihamdihi walakinla tafqahoona tasbeehahum innahu kana haleemanghafooran

تسبح له السماوات السبع والارض ومن فيهن وان من شئ الا يسبح بحمده ولكن لاتفقهون تسبيحهم انه كان حليما غفورا

[YA]: The seven heavens and the earth, and all beings therein, declare His glory: there is not a thing but celebrates His praise; And yet ye understand not how they declare His glory! Verily He is Oft-Forbear, Most Forgiving!

[RK]:Glorifying Him are the seven universes, the earth, and everyone in them. There is nothing that does not glorify Him, but you do not understand their glorification. He is Clement, Forgiver.

Aw yakoona laka baytun min zukhrufin aw tarqafee alssama-i walan nu/mina liruqiyyika hattatunazzila AAalayna kitaban naqraohu qul subhanarabbee hal kuntu illa basharan rasoolan

او يكون لك بيت من زخرف او ترقي في السماء ولن نؤمن لرقيك حتي تنزل علينا كتابا نقرؤه قل سبحان ربي هل كنت الا بشرا رسولا

[YA]: "Or thou have a house adorned with gold, or thou mount a ladder right into the skies. No, we shall not even believe in thy mounting until thou send down to us a book that we could read." Say: "Glory to my Lord! Am I aught but a man,- a messenger?"

[RK]:"Or unless you own a luxurious mansion, or unless you climb into the sky. Even if you do climb, we will not believe unless you bring a book that we can read." Say, "Glory be to my Lord. Am I any more than a human messenger?"

Wayaqooloona subhana rabbinain kana waAAdu rabbina lamafAAoolan

ويقولون سبحان ربنا ان كان وعد ربنا لمفعولا

[YA]: "And they say: 'Glory to our Lord! Truly has the promise of our Lord been fulfilled!'"

[RK]:They say, "Glory be to our Lord. This fulfills our Lord's prophecy."

Fakharaja AAala qawmihi mina almihrabifaawha ilayhim an sabbihoo bukratan waAAashiyyan

فخرج علي قومه من المحراب فاوحي اليهم ان سبحوا بكرة وعشيا

[YA]: So Zakariya came out to his people from him chamber: He told them by signs to celebrate Allah's praises in the morning and in the evening.

[RK]:He came out to his family, from the sanctuary, and signaled to them: "Meditate (on God) day and night."

Ma kana lillahi anyattakhitha min waladin subhanahu itha qadaamran fa-innama yaqoolu lahu kun fayakoonu

ماكان لله ان يتخذ من ولد سبحانه اذا قضي امرا فانما يقول له كن فيكون

[YA]: It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.

[RK]:It does not befit GOD that He begets a son, be He glorified. To have anything done, He simply says to it, "Be," and it is.

كي نسبحك كثيرا

[YA]: "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint,

[RK]:"That we may glorify You frequently.

Faisbir AAala mayaqooloona wasabbih bihamdi rabbika qabla tulooAAialshshamsi waqabla ghuroobiha wamin ana-iallayli fasabbih waatrafa alnnaharilaAAallaka tarda

فاصبر علي مايقولون وسبح بحمد ربك قبل طلوع الشمس وقبل غروبها ومن اناء الليل فسبح واطراف النهار لعلك ترضي

[YA]: Therefore be patient with what they say, and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy.

[RK]:Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise and before sunset. And during the night glorify Him, as well as at both ends of the day, that you may be happy.

فاصبر علي مايقولون وسبح بحمد ربك قبل طلوع الشمس وقبل غروبها ومن اناء الليل فسبح واطراف النهار لعلك ترضي

Yusabbihoona allayla waalnnaharala yafturoona

يسبحون الليل والنهار لايفترون

[YA]: They celebrate His praises night and day, nor do they ever flag or intermit.

[RK]:They glorify night and day, without ever tiring.

Law kana feehima alihatunilla Allahu lafasadata fasubhana Allahirabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoona

لو كان فيهما الهة الا الله لفسدتا فسبحان الله رب العرش عما يصفون

[YA]: If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!

[RK]:If there were in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside GOD, there would have been chaos. Glory be to GOD; the Lord with absolute authority. He is high above their claims.

Waqaloo ittakhatha alrrahmanuwaladan subhanahu bal AAibadun mukramoona

وقالوا اتخذ الرحمن ولدا سبحانه بل عباد مكرمون

[YA]: And they say: "(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten offspring." Glory to Him! they are (but) servants raised to honour.

[RK]:Yet, they said, "The Most Gracious has begotten a son!" Glory be to Him. All (messengers) are (His) honored servants.

Wahuwa allathee khalaqa allayla waalnnaharawaalshshamsa waalqamara kullun fee falakin yasbahoona

وهو الذي خلق الليل والنهار والشمس والقمر كل في فلك يسبحون

[YA]: It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.

[RK]:And He is the One who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; each floating in its own orbit.

Fafahhamnaha sulaymanawakullan atayna hukman waAAilman wasakhkharnamaAAa dawooda aljibala yusabbihna waalttayrawakunna faAAileena

ففهمناها سليمان وكلا اتينا حكما وعلما وسخرنا مع داود الجبال يسبحن والطير وكنا فاعلين

[YA]: To Solomon We inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises, with David: it was We Who did (all these things).

[RK]:We granted Solomon the correct understanding, though we endowed both of them with wisdom and knowledge. We committed the mountains to serve David in glorifying (God), as well as the birds. This is what we did.

Watha alnnooni ith thahabamughadiban fathanna an lan naqdira AAalayhifanada fee alththulumatian la ilaha illa anta subhanaka inneekuntu mina alththalimeena

وذا النون اذ ذهب مغاضبا فظن ان لن نقدر عليه فنادي في الظلمات ان لا اله الا انت سبحانك اني كنت من الظالمين

[YA]: And remember Zun-nun, when he departed in wrath: He imagined that We had no power over him! But he cried through the deptHs of darkness, "There is no god but thou: glory to thee: I was indeed wrong!"

مااتخذ الله من ولد وماكان معه من اله اذا لذهب كل اله بما خلق ولعلا بعضهم علي بعض سبحان الله عما يصفون

[YA]: No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!

[RK]:GOD has never begotten a son. Nor was there ever any other god beside Him. Otherwise, each god would have declared independence with his creations, and they would have competed with each other for dominance. GOD be glorified; far above their claims.

ولولا اذ سمعتموه قلتم مايكون لنا ان نتكلم بهذا سبحانك هذا بهتان عظيم

[YA]: And why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!"

[RK]:When you heard it, you should have said, "We will not repeat this. Glory be to You. This is a gross falsehood."

في بيوت اذن الله ان ترفع ويذكر فيها اسمه يسبح له فيها بالغدو والاصال

[YA]: (Lit is such a Light) in houses, which Allah hath permitted to be raised to honour; for the celebration, in them, of His name: In them is He glorified in the mornings and in the evenings, (again and again),-

[RK]:(God's guidance is found) in houses exalted by GOD, for His name is commemorated therein. Glorifying Him therein, day and night -

الم تر ان الله يسبح له من في السماوات والارض والطير صافات كل قد علم صلاته وتسبيحه والله عليم بما يفعلون

[YA]: Seest thou not that it is Allah Whose praises all beings in the heavens and on earth do celebrate, and the birds (of the air) with wings outspread? Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and praise. And Allah knows well all that they do.

[RK]:Do you not realize that everyone in the heavens and the earth glorifies GOD, even the birds as they fly in a column? Each knows its prayer and its glorification. GOD is fully aware of everything they do.

قالوا سبحانك ماكان ينبغي لنا ان نتخذ من دونك من اولياء ولكن متعتهم واباهم حتي نسوا الذكر وكانوا قوما بورا

[YA]: They will say: "Glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost."

[RK]:They will say, "Be You glorified, it was not right for us to set up any lords beside You. But You allowed them to enjoy, together with their parents. Consequently, they disregarded the message and thus became wicked people."

Watawakkal AAala alhayyi allatheela yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafabihi bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran

وتوكل علي الحي الذي لايموت وسبح بحمده وكفي به بذنوب عباده خبيرا

[YA]: And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;-

[RK]:You shall put your trust in the One who is Alive - the One who never dies - and praise Him and glorify Him. He is fully Cognizant of His creatures' sins.

فلما جاءها نودي ان بورك من في النار ومن حولها وسبحان الله رب العالمين

[YA]: But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

[RK]:When he came to it, he was called: "Blessed is the One (who is speaking from) within the fire, and those around it." Glory be to GOD, Lord of the universe.

فمكث غير بعيد فقال احطت بمالم تحط به وجئتك من سبا بنبا يقين

[YA]: But the Hoopoe tarried not far: he (came up and) said: "I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba with tidings true.

[RK]:He did not wait for long. (The hoopoe) said, "I have news that you do not have. I brought to you from Sheba, some important information.

Warabbuka yakhluqu ma yashaowayakhtaru ma kana lahumu alkhiyaratu subhanaAllahi wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona

وربك يخلق مايشاء ويختار ماكان لهم الخيرة سبحان الله وتعالي عما يشركون

[YA]: Thy Lord does create and choose as He pleases: no choice have they (in the matter): Glory to Allah! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!

[RK]:Your Lord is the One who creates whatever He wills, and chooses; no one else does any choosing. Glory be to GOD, the Most Exalted. He is far above needing partners.

فسبحان الله حين تمسون وحين تصبحون

[YA]: So (give) glory to Allah, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning;

[RK]:Therefore, you shall glorify GOD when you retire at night, and when you rise in the morning.

Allahu allathee khalaqakumthumma razaqakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum halmin shuraka-ikum man yafAAalu min thalikum minshay-in subhanahu wataAAala AAammayushrikoona

الله الذي خلقكم ثم رزقكم ثم يميتكم ثم يحييكم هل من شركائكم من يفعل من ذلكم من شئ سبحانه وتعالي عما يشركون

[YA]: It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) "Partners" who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! and high is He above the partners they attribute (to him)!

[RK]:GOD is the One who created you. He is the One who provides for you. He is the One who puts you to death. He is the One who resurrects you. Can any of your idols do any of these things? Be He glorified. He is much too exalted to have any partners.

Innama yu/minu bi-ayatinaallatheena itha thukkiroo bihakharroo sujjadan wasabbahoo bihamdi rabbihim wahumla yastakbiroona

انما يؤمن باياتنا الذين اذا ذكروا بها خروا سجدا وسبحوا بحمد ربهم وهم لايستكبرون

[YA]: Only those believe in Our Signs, who, when they are recited to them, fall down in prostration, and celebrate the praises of their Lord, nor are they (ever) puffed up with pride.

[RK]:The only people who truly believe in our revelations are those who fall prostrate upon hearing them. They glorify and praise their Lord, without any arrogance.

وسبحوه بكرة واصيلا

[YA]: And glorify Him morning and evening.

[RK]:You shall glorify Him day and night.
