Aw kaallathee marra AAalaqaryatin wahiya khawiyatun AAala AAurooshihaqala anna yuhyee hathihi AllahubaAAda mawtiha faamatahu Allahu mi-ata AAaminthumma baAAathahu qala kam labithta qala labithtuyawman aw baAAda yawmin qala bal labithta mi-ata AAaminfaonthur ila taAAamikawasharabika lam yatasannah waonthurila himarika walinajAAalaka ayatan lilnnasiwaonthur ila alAAithamikayfa nunshizuha thumma naksooha lahmanfalamma tabayyana lahu qala aAAlamu anna AllahaAAala kulli shay-in qadeerun

او كالذي مر علي قرية وهي خاوية علي عروشها قال اني يحيي هذه الله بعد موتها فاماته الله مئة عام ثم بعثه قال كم لبثت قال لبثت يوما او بعض يوم قال بل لبثت مئة عام فانظر الي طعامك وشرابك لم يتسنه وانظر الي حمارك ولنجعلك اية للناس وانظر الي العظام كيف ننشزها ثم نكسوها لحما فلما تبين له قال اعلم ان الله علي كل شئ قدير

[YA]: Or (take) the similitude of one who passed by a hamlet, all in ruins to its roofs. He said: "Oh! how shall Allah bring it (ever) to life, after (this) its death?" but Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He said: "How long didst thou tarry (thus)?" He said: (Perhaps) a day or part of a day." He said: "Nay, thou hast tarried thus a hundred years; but look at thy food and thy drink; they show no signs of age; and look at thy donkey: And that We may make of thee a sign unto the people, Look further at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh." When this was shown clearly to him, he said: "I know that Allah hath power over all things."

[RK]:Consider the one who passed by a ghost town and wondered, "How can GOD revive this after it had died?" GOD then put him to death for a hundred years, then resurrected him. He said, "How long have you stayed here?" He said, "I have been here a day, or part of the day." He said, "No! You have been here a hundred years. Yet, look at your food and drink; they did not spoil. Look at your donkey - we thus render you a lesson for the people. Now, note how we construct the bones, then cover them with flesh." When he realized what had happened, he said, "Now I know that GOD is Omnipotent."

Wahuwa allathee anshaa jannatinmaAArooshatin waghayra maAArooshatin waalnnakhlawaalzzarAAa mukhtalifan okuluhu waalzzaytoona waalrrummanamutashabihan waghayra mutashabihin kuloo minthamarihi itha athmara waatoo haqqahu yawma hasadihiwala tusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeena

وهو الذي انشا جنات معروشات وغير معروشات والنخل والزرع مختلفا اكله والزيتون والرمان متشابها وغير متشابه كلوا من ثمره اذا اثمر واتوا حقه يوم حصاده ولاتسرفوا انه لايحب المسرفين

[YA]: It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters.

[RK]:He is the One who established gardens, trellised and untrellised, and palm trees, and crops with different tastes, and olives, and pomegranate - fruits that are similar, yet dissimilar. Eat from their fruits, and give the due alms on the day of harvest, and do not waste anything. He does not love the wasters.

Inna rabbakumu Allahu allatheekhalaqa alssamawati waal-ardafee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAalaalAAarshi yughshee allayla alnnahara yatlubuhuhatheethan waalshshamsa waalqamara waalnnujoomamusakhkharatin bi-amrihi ala lahu alkhalqu waal-amrutabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameena

ان ربكم الله الذي خلق السماوات والارض في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش يغشي الليل النهار يطلبه حثيثا والشمس والقمر والنجوم مسخرات بامره الا له الخلق والامر تبارك الله رب العالمين

[YA]: Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!

[RK]:Your Lord is the one GOD, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then assumed all authority. The night overtakes the day, as it pursues it persistently, and the sun, the moon, and the stars are committed to serve by His command. Absolutely, He controls all creation and all commands. Most Exalted is GOD, Lord of the universe.

Waawrathna alqawma allatheenakanoo yustadAAafoona mashariqa al-ardiwamagharibaha allatee barakna feehawatammat kalimatu rabbika alhusna AAalabanee isra-eela bima sabaroo wadammarnama kana yasnaAAu firAAawnu waqawmuhu wamakanoo yaAArishoona

واورثنا القوم الذين كانوا يستضعفون مشارق الارض ومغاربها التي باركنا فيها وتمت كلمة ربك الحسني علي بني اسرائيل بما صبروا ودمرنا ما كان يصنع فرعون وقومه وماكانوا يعرشون

[YA]: And We made a people, considered weak (and of no account), inheritors of lands in both east and west, - lands whereon We sent down Our blessings. The fair promise of thy Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel, because they had patience and constancy, and We levelled to the ground the great works and fine buildings which Pharaoh and his people erected (with such pride).

[RK]:We let the oppressed people inherit the land, east and west, and we blessed it. The blessed commands of your Lord were thus fulfilled for the Children of Israel, to reward them for their steadfastness, and we annihilated the works of Pharaoh and his people and everything they harvested.

Fa-in tawallaw faqul hasbiya Allahula ilaha illa huwa AAalayhi tawakkaltuwahuwa rabbu alAAarshi alAAatheemi

فان تولوا فقل حسبي الله لا اله الا هو عليه توكلت وهو رب العرش العظيم

[YA]: But if they turn away, Say: "Allah sufficeth me: there is no god but He: On Him is my trust,- He the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme!"

ان ربكم الله الذي خلق السماوات والارض في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش يدبر الامر مامن شفيع الا من بعد اذنه ذلكم الله ربكم فاعبدوه افلا تذكرون

[YA]: Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition?

[RK]:Your only Lord is GOD; the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then assumed all authority. He controls all matters. There is no intercessor, except in accordance with His will. Such is GOD your Lord. You shall worship Him. Would you not take heed?

Wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda fee sittati ayyamin wakanaAAarshuhu AAala alma-i liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanuAAamalan wala-in qulta innakum mabAAoothoona min baAAdi almawtilayaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in hatha illasihrun mubeenun

وهو الذي خلق السماوات والارض في ستة ايام وكان عرشه علي الماء ليبلوكم ايكم احسن عملا ولئن قلت انكم مبعوثون من بعد الموت ليقولن الذين كفروا ان هذا الا سحر مبين

[YA]: He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was over the waters - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. But if thou wert to say to them, "Ye shall indeed be raised up after death", the Unbelievers would be sure to say, "This is nothing but obvious sorcery!"

[RK]:He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days - and His (earthly) domain was completely covered with water - in order to test you, to distinguish those among you who work righteousness. Yet, when you say, "You will be resurrected after death," those who disbelieve would say, "This is clearly witchcraft."

WarafaAAa abawayhi AAala alAAarshiwakharroo lahu sujjadan waqala ya abati hathata/weelu ru/yaya min qablu qad jaAAalaha rabbee haqqanwaqad ahsana bee ith akhrajanee mina alssijniwajaa bikum mina albadwi min baAAdi an nazagha alshshaytanubaynee wabayna ikhwatee inna rabbee lateefun limayashao innahu huwa alAAaleemu alhakeemu

ورفع ابويه علي العرش وخروا له سجدا وقال ياابت هذا تاويل رؤياي من قبل قد جعلها ربي حقا وقد احسن بي اذ اخرجني من السجن وجاء بكم من البدو من بعد ان نزغ الشيطان بيني وبين اخوتي ان ربي لطيف لما يشاء انه هو العليم الحكيم

[YA]: And he raised his parents high on the throne (of dignity), and they fell down in prostration, (all) before him. He said: "O my father! this is the fulfilment of my vision of old! Allah hath made it come true! He was indeed good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you (all here) out of the desert, (even) after Satan had sown enmity between me and my brothers. Verily my Lord understandeth best the mysteries of all that He planneth to do, for verily He is full of knowledge and wisdom.

[RK]:He raised his parents upon the throne. They fell prostrate before him. He said, "O my father, this is the fulfillment of my old dream. My Lord has made it come true. He has blessed me, delivered me from the prison, and brought you from the desert, after the devil had driven a wedge between me and my brothers. My Lord is Most Kind towards whomever He wills. He is the Knower, the Most Wise."

Allahu allathee rafaAAa alssamawatibighayri AAamadin tarawnaha thumma istawa AAalaalAAarshi wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara kullunyajree li-ajalin musamman yudabbiru al-amra yufassilu al-ayatilaAAallakum biliqa-i rabbikum tooqinoona

الله الذي رفع السماوات بغير عمد ترونها ثم استوي علي العرش وسخرالشمس والقمر كل يجري لاجل مسمي يدبر الامر يفصل الايات لعلكم بلقاء ربكم توقنون

[YA]: Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.

[RK]:GOD is the One who raised the heavens without pillars that you can see, then assumed all authority. He committed the sun and the moon, each running (in its orbit) for a predetermined period. He controls all things, and explains the revelations, that you may attain certainty about meeting your Lord.

Waawha rabbuka ila alnnahliani ittakhithee mina aljibali buyootan wamina alshshajariwamimma yaAArishoona

واوحي ربك الي النحل ان اتخذي من الجبال بيوتا ومن الشجر ومما يعرشون

[YA]: And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations;

[RK]:And your Lord inspired the bee: build homes in mountains and trees, and in (the hives) they build for you.

Qul law kana maAAahu alihatunkama yaqooloona ithan laibtaghaw ila theealAAarshi sabeelan

قل لو كان معه الهة كما يقولون اذا لابتغوا الي ذي العرش سبيلا

[YA]: Say: If there had been (other) gods with Him, as they say,- behold, they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne!

[RK]:Say, "If there were any other gods beside Him, as they claim, they would have tried to overthrow the Possessor of the throne."

Waoheeta bithamarihi faasbahayuqallibu kaffayhi AAala ma anfaqa feehawahiya khawiyatun AAala AAurooshihawayaqoolu ya laytanee lam oshrik birabbee ahadan

واحيط بثمره فاصبح يقلب كفيه علي ماانفق فيها وهي خاوية علي عروشها ويقول ياليتني لم اشرك بربي احدا

[YA]: So his fruits (and enjoyment) were encompassed (with ruin), and he remained twisting and turning his hands over what he had spent on his property, which had (now) tumbled to pieces to its very foundations, and he could only say, "Woe is me! Would I had never ascribed partners to my Lord and Cherisher!"

[RK]:Indeed, his crops were wiped out, and he ended up sorrowful, lamenting what he had spent on it in vain, as his property lay barren. He finally said, "I wish I never set up my property as a god beside my Lord."

الرحمن علي العرش استوي

[YA]: (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority).

[RK]:The Most Gracious; He has assumed all authority.

لو كان فيهما الهة الا الله لفسدتا فسبحان الله رب العرش عما يصفون

[YA]: If there were, in the heavens and the earth, other gods besides Allah, there would have been confusion in both! but glory to Allah, the Lord of the Throne: (High is He) above what they attribute to Him!

[RK]:If there were in them (the heavens and the earth) other gods beside GOD, there would have been chaos. Glory be to GOD; the Lord with absolute authority. He is high above their claims.

Fakaayyin min qaryatin ahlaknahawahiya thalimatun fahiya khawiyatunAAala AAurooshiha wabi/rin muAAattalatinwaqasrin masheedin

فكاين من قرية اهلكناها وهي ظالمة فهي خاوية علي عروشها وبئر معطلة وقصر مشيد

[YA]: How many populations have We destroyed, which were given to wrong-doing? They tumbled down on their roofs. And how many wells are lying idle and neglected, and castles lofty and well-built?

[RK]:Many a community we have annihilated because of their wickedness. They ended up in ruins, stilled wells, and great empty mansions.

قل من رب السماوات السبع ورب العرش العظيم

[YA]: Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"

[RK]:Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven universes; the Lord of the great dominion?"

فتعالي الله الملك الحق لا اله الا هو رب العرش الكريم

[YA]: Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour!

[RK]:Most exalted is GOD, the true Sovereign. There is no other god beside Him; the Most Honorable Lord, possessor of all authority.

الذي خلق السماوات والارض ومابينهما في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش الرحمن فسال به خبيرا

[YA]: He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things).

[RK]:He is the One who created the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, in six days, then assumed all authority. The Most Gracious; ask about Him those who are well founded in knowledge.

اني وجدت امراة تملكهم واوتيت من كل شئ ولها عرش عظيم

[YA]: "I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne.

[RK]:"I found a woman ruling them, who is blessed with everything, and possesses a tremendous palace.

الله لا اله الا هو رب العرش العظيم

[YA]: "Allah!- there is no god but He!- Lord of the Throne Supreme!"

[RK]:GOD: there is no other god beside Him; the Lord with the great dominion.

Qala ya ayyuha almalaoayyukum ya/teenee biAAarshiha qabla an ya/toonee muslimeena

قال ياايها الملا ايكم ياتيني بعرشها قبل ان ياتوني مسلمين

[YA]: He said (to his own men): "Ye chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"

[RK]:He said, "O you elders, which of you can bring me her mansion, before they arrive here as submitters?"

Qala nakkiroo laha AAarshahananthur atahtadee am takoonu mina allatheenala yahtadoona

قال نكروا لها عرشها ننظر اتهتدي ام تكون من الذين لايهتدون

[YA]: He said: "Transform her throne out of all recognition by her: let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance."

[RK]:He said, "Remodel her mansion for her. Let us see if she will be guided, or continue with the misguided."

Falamma jaat qeela ahakathaAAarshuki qalat kaannahu huwa waooteena alAAilmamin qabliha wakunna muslimeena

فلما جاءت قيل اهكذا عرشك قالت كانه هو واوتينا العلم من قبلها وكنا مسلمين

[YA]: So when she arrived, she was asked, "Is this thy throne?" She said, "It was just like this; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this, and we have submitted to Allah (in Islam)."

[RK]:When she arrived, she was asked, "Does your mansion look like this?" She said, "It seems that this is it." (Solomon said,) "We knew beforehand what she was going to do, and we were already submitters."

الله الذي خلق السماوات والارض ومابينهما في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش مالكم من دونه من ولي ولاشفيع افلا تتذكرون

[YA]: It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition?

[RK]:GOD is the One who created the heavens and the earth, and everything between them in six days, then assumed all authority. You have none beside Him as Lord, nor do you have an intercessor. Would you not take heed?

Watara almala-ikata haffeenamin hawli alAAarshi yusabbihoona bihamdirabbihim waqudiya baynahum bialhaqqi waqeelaalhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

وتري الملائكة حافين من حول العرش يسبحون بحمد ربهم وقضي بينهم بالحق وقيل الحمد لله رب العالمين

[YA]: And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the Throne (Divine) on all sides, singing Glory and Praise to their Lord. The Decision between them (at Judgment) will be in (perfect) justice, and the cry (on all sides) will be, "Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!"

[RK]:You will see the angels floating around the throne, glorifying and praising their Lord. After the equitable judgment is issued to all, it will be proclaimed: "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe."

Allatheena yahmiloona alAAarshawaman hawlahu yusabbihoona bihamdi rabbihimwayu/minoona bihi wayastaghfiroona lillatheena amanoorabbana wasiAAta kulla shay-in rahmatan waAAilmanfaighfir lillatheena taboo waittabaAAoosabeelaka waqihim AAathaba aljaheemi

الذين يحملون العرش ومن حوله يسبحون بحمد ربهم ويؤمنون به ويستغفرون للذين امنوا ربنا وسعت كل شئ رحمة وعلما فاغفر للذين تابوا واتبعوا سبيلك وقهم عذاب الجحيم

[YA]: Those who sustain the Throne (of Allah) and those around it Sing Glory and Praise to their Lord; believe in Him; and implore Forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord! Thy Reach is over all things, in Mercy and Knowledge. Forgive, then, those who turn in Repentance, and follow Thy Path; and preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire!

[RK]:Those who serve the throne and all those around it glorify and praise their Lord, and believe in Him. And they ask forgiveness for those who believe: "Our Lord, Your mercy and Your knowledge encompass all things. Forgive those who repent and follow Your path, and spare them the retribution of Hell.

RafeeAAu alddarajati thooalAAarshi yulqee alrrooha min amrihi AAalaman yashao min AAibadihi liyunthira yawma alttalaqi

رفيع الدرجات ذو العرش يلقي الروح من امره علي من يشاء من عباده لينذر يوم التلاق

[YA]: Raised high above ranks (or degrees), (He is) the Lord of the Throne (of Authority): by His Command doth He send the Spirit (of inspiration) to any of His servants he pleases, that it may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting,-

[RK]:Possessor of the highest ranks, and Ruler of the whole dominion. He sends inspiration, bearing His commands, to whomever He chooses from among His servants, to warn about the Day of Summoning.

Subhana rabbi alssamawatiwaal-ardi rabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoona

سبحان رب السماوات والارض رب العرش عما يصفون

[YA]: Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne (of Authority)! (He is free) from the things they attribute (to him)!

[RK]:Be He glorified; He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord with the great dominion, far above their claims.

هو الذي خلق السماوات والارض في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش يعلم مايلج في الارض ومايخرج منها وماينزل من السماء ومايعرج فيها وهو معكم اين ماكنتم والله بما تعملون بصير

[YA]: He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of Authority). He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah sees well all that ye do.

[RK]:He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then assumed all authority. He knows everything that enters into the earth, and everything that comes out of it, and everything that comes down from the sky, and everything that climbs into it. He is with you wherever you may be. GOD is Seer of everything you do.

Waalmalaku AAala arja-ihawayahmilu AAarsha rabbika fawqahum yawma-ithin thamaniyatun

والملك علي ارجائها ويحمل عرش ربك فوقهم يومئذ ثمانية

[YA]: And the angels will be on its sides, and eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of thy Lord above them.

[RK]:The angels will be all around, and Your Lord's dominion will then encompass eight (universes).
