Waallatheena yutawaffawnaminkum wayatharoona azwajan yatarabbasnabi-anfusihinna arbaAAata ashhurin waAAashran fa-ithabalaghna ajalahunna fala junaha AAalaykum feemafaAAalna fee anfusihinna bialmaAAroofi waAllahubima taAAmaloona khabeerun

والذين يتوفون منكم ويذرون ازواجا يتربصن بانفسهن اربعة اشهر وعشرا فاذا بلغن اجلهن فلا جناح عليكم فيما فعلن في انفسهن بالمعروف والله بما تعملون خبير

[YA]: If any of you die and leave widows behind, they shall wait concerning themselves four months and ten days: When they have fulfilled their term, there is no blame on you if they dispose of themselves in a just and reasonable manner. And Allah is well acquainted with what ye do.

[RK]:Those who die and leave wives, their widows shall wait four months and ten days (before they remarry). Once they fulfill their interim, you commit no error by letting them do whatever righteous matters they wish to do. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

In tubdoo alssadaqatifaniAAimma hiya wa-in tukhfooha watu/toohaalfuqaraa fahuwa khayrun lakum wayukaffiru AAankum minsayyi-atikum waAllahu bimataAAmaloona khabeerun

ان تبدوا الصدقات فنعما هي وان تخفوها وتؤتوها الفقراء فهو خيرلكم ويكفر عنكم من سيئاتكم والله بما تعملون خبير

[YA]: If ye disclose (acts of) charity, even so it is well, but if ye conceal them, and make them reach those (really) in need, that is best for you: It will remove from you some of your (stains of) evil. And Allah is well acquainted with what ye do.

[RK]:If you declare your charities, they are still good. But if you keep them anonymous, and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and remits more of your sins. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Ith tusAAidoona walatalwoona AAala ahadin waalrrasooluyadAAookum fee okhrakum faathabakum ghammanbighammin likay la tahzanoo AAala mafatakum wala ma asabakum waAllahukhabeerun bima taAAmaloona

اذ تصعدون ولاتلوون علي احد والرسول يدعوكم في اخراكم فاثباكم غما بغم لكيلا تحزنوا علي مافاتكم ولا مااصابكم والله خبير بما تعملون

[YA]: Behold! ye were climbing up the high ground, without even casting a side glance at any one, and the Messenger in your rear was calling you back. There did Allah give you one distress after another by way of requital, to teach you not to grieve for (the booty) that had escaped you and for (the ill) that had befallen you. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do.

[RK]:Recall that you rushed (after the spoils), paying no attention to anyone, even when the messenger was calling from behind you. Consequently, He substituted one misery for another, that you may not grieve over anything you had missed, or agonize over any hardship you had suffered. GOD is Cognizant of everything you do.

Wala yahsabanna allatheenayabkhaloona bima atahummu Allahu minfadlihi huwa khayran lahum bal huwa sharrun lahum sayutawwaqoonama bakhiloo bihi yawma alqiyamati walillahimeerathu alssamawati waal-ardiwaAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun

ولايحسبن الذين يبخلون بما اتاهم الله من فضله هو خيرا لهم بل هو شر لهم سيطوقون مابخلوا به يوم القيامة ولله ميراث السماوات والارض والله بماتعملون خبير

[YA]: And let not those who covetously withhold of the gifts which Allah Hath given them of His Grace, think that it is good for them: Nay, it will be the worse for them: soon shall the things which they covetously withheld be tied to their necks Like a twisted collar, on the Day of Judgment. To Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:Let not those who withhold and hoard GOD's provisions think that this is good for them; it is bad for them. For they will carry their hoarding around their necks on the Day of Resurrection. GOD is the ultimate inheritor of the heavens and the earth. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Wa-in khiftum shiqaqa baynihimafaibAAathoo hakaman min ahlihi wahakaman minahliha in yureeda islahan yuwaffiqiAllahu baynahuma inna Allaha kanaAAaleeman khabeeran

وان خفتم شقاق بينهما فابعثوا حكما من اهله وحكما من اهلها ان يريدا اصلاحا يوفق الله بينهما ان الله كان عليما خبيرا

[YA]: If ye fear a breach between them twain, appoint (two) arbiters, one from his family, and the other from hers; if they wish for peace, Allah will cause their reconciliation: For Allah hath full knowledge, and is acquainted with all things.

[RK]:If a couple fears separation, you shall appoint an arbitrator from his family and an arbitrator from her family; if they decide to reconcile, GOD will help them get together. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha darabtum fee sabeeli Allahifatabayyanoo wala taqooloo liman alqa ilaykumu alssalamalasta mu/minan tabtaghoona AAarada alhayatialddunya faAAinda Allahi maghanimukatheeratun kathalika kuntum min qablu famanna AllahuAAalaykum fatabayyanoo inna Allaha kana bimataAAmaloona khabeeran

ياايها الذين امنوا اذا ضربتم في سبيل الله فتبينوا ولاتقولوا لمن القي اليكم السلام لست مؤمنا تبتغون عرض الحياة الدنيا فعند الله مغانم كثيرة كذلك كنتم من قبل فمن الله عليكم فتبينوا ان الله كان بما تعملون خبيرا

[YA]: O ye who believe! When ye go abroad in the cause of Allah, investigate carefully, and say not to any one who offers you a salutation: "Thou art none of a believer!" Coveting the perishable goods of this life: with Allah are profits and spoils abundant. Even thus were ye yourselves before, till Allah conferred on you His favours: Therefore carefully investigate. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do.

[RK]:O you who believe, if you strike in the cause of GOD, you shall be absolutely sure. Do not say to one who offers you peace, "You are not a believer," seeking the spoils of this world. For GOD possesses infinite spoils. Remember that you used to be like them, and GOD blessed you. Therefore, you shall be absolutely sure (before you strike). GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Wa-ini imraatun khafat min baAAlihanushoozan aw iAAradan fala junaha AAalayhimaan yusliha baynahuma sulhan waalssulhukhayrun waohdirati al-anfusu alshshuhhawa-in tuhsinoo watattaqoo fa-inna Allaha kanabima taAAmaloona khabeeran

وان امراة خافت من بعلها نشوزا او اعراضا فلا جناح عليهما ان يصلحا بينهماصلحا والصلح خير واحضرت الانفس الشح وان تحسنوا وتتقوا فان الله كان بما تعملون خبيرا

[YA]: If a wife fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no blame on them if they arrange an amicable settlement between themselves; and such settlement is best; even though men's souls are swayed by greed. But if ye do good and practise self-restraint, Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:If a woman senses oppression or desertion from her husband, the couple shall try to reconcile their differences, for conciliation is best for them. Selfishness is a human trait, and if you do good and lead a righteous life, GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookoonoo qawwameena bialqisti shuhadaalillahi walaw AAala anfusikum awi alwalidayniwaal-aqrabeena in yakun ghaniyyan aw faqeeran faAllahuawla bihima fala tattabiAAoo alhawaan taAAdiloo wa-in talwoo aw tuAAridoo fa-inna Allahakana bima taAAmaloona khabeeran

ياايها الذين امنوا كونوا قوامين بالقسط شهداء لله ولو علي انفسكم او الوالدين والاقربين ان يكن غنيا او فقيرا فالله اولي بهما فلا تتبعوا الهوي ان تعدلوا وان تلووا او تعرضوا فان الله كان بما تعملون خبيرا

[YA]: O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:O you who believe, you shall be absolutely equitable, and observe GOD, when you serve as witnesses, even against yourselves, or your parents, or your relatives. Whether the accused is rich or poor, GOD takes care of both. Therefore, do not be biased by your personal wishes. If you deviate or disregard (this commandment), then GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookoonoo qawwameena lillahi shuhadaa bialqistiwala yajrimannakum shanaanu qawmin AAala allataAAdiloo iAAdiloo huwa aqrabu lilttaqwa waittaqooAllaha inna Allaha khabeerun bima taAAmaloona

ياايها الذين امنوا كونوا قوامين لله شهداء بالقسط ولايجرمنكم شنان قوم علي الا تعدلوا اعدلوا هو اقرب للتقوي واتقوا الله ان الله خبير بما تعملون

[YA]: O ye who believe! stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:O you who believe, you shall be absolutely equitable, and observe GOD, when you serve as witnesses. Do not be provoked by your conflicts with some people into committing injustice. You shall be absolutely equitable, for it is more righteous. You shall observe GOD. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Wahuwa alqahiru fawqa AAibadihiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeeru

وهو القاهر فوق عباده وهو الحكيم الخبير

[YA]: "He is the irresistible, (watching) from above over His worshippers; and He is the Wise, acquainted with all things."

[RK]:He is Supreme over His creatures. He is the Most Wise, the Cognizant.

Wahuwa allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda bialhaqqi wayawma yaqoolukun fayakoonu qawluhu alhaqqu walahu almulku yawmayunfakhu fee alssoori AAalimu alghaybi waalshshahadatiwahuwa alhakeemu alkhabeeru

وهو الذي خلق السماوات والارض بالحق ويوم يقول كن فيكون قوله الحق وله الملك يوم ينفخ في الصور عالم الغيب والشهادة وهو الحكيم الخبير

[YA]: It is He who created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): the day He saith, "Be," behold! it is. His word is the truth. His will be the dominion the day the trumpet will be blown. He knoweth the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise, well acquainted (with all things).

[RK]:He is the One who created the heavens and the earth, truthfully. Whenever He says, "Be," it is. His word is the absolute truth. All sovereignty belongs to Him the day the horn is blown. Knower of all secrets and declarations, He is the Most Wise, the Cognizant.

La tudrikuhu al-absaru wahuwayudriku al-absara wahuwa allateefu alkhabeeru

لاتدركه الابصار وهو يدرك الابصار وهو اللطيف الخبير

[YA]: No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things.

[RK]:No visions can encompass Him, but He encompasses all visions. He is the Compassionate, the Cognizant.

Am hasibtum an tutrakoo walammayaAAlami Allahu allatheena jahadoo minkumwalam yattakhithoo min dooni Allahi walarasoolihi wala almu/mineena waleejatan waAllahukhabeerun bima taAAmaloona

ام حسبتم ان تتركوا ولما يعلم الله الذين جاهدوا منكم ولم يتخذوا من دون الله ولارسوله ولا المؤمنين وليجة والله خبير بما تعملون

[YA]: Or think ye that ye shall be abandoned, as though Allah did not know those among you who strive with might and main, and take none for friends and protectors except Allah, His Messenger, and the (community of) Believers? But Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.

[RK]:Did you think that you will be left alone without GOD distinguishing those among you who strive, and never ally themselves with GOD's enemies, or the enemies of His messenger, or the enemies of the believers? GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

YaAAtathiroona ilaykum itharajaAAtum ilayhim qul la taAAtathiroo lan nu/minalakum qad nabbaana Allahu min akhbarikumwasayara Allahu AAamalakum warasooluhu thummaturaddoona ila AAalimi alghaybi waalshshahadatifayunabbi-okum bima kuntum taAAmaloona

يعتذرون اليكم اذا رجعتم اليهم قل لاتعتذروا لن نؤمن لكم قد نبانا الله من اخباركم وسيري الله عملكم ورسوله ثم تردون الي عالم الغيب والشهادة فينبئكم بما كنتم تعملون

[YA]: They will present their excuses to you when ye return to them. Say thou: "Present no excuses: we shall not believe you: Allah hath already informed us of the true state of matters concerning you: It is your actions that Allah and His Messenger will observe: in the end will ye be brought back to Him Who knoweth what is hidden and what is open: then will He show you the truth of all that ye did."

[RK]:They apologize to you when you return to them (from battle). Say, "Do not apologize; we no longer trust you. GOD has informed us about you." GOD will see your works, and so will the messenger, then you will be returned to the Knower of all secrets and declarations, then He will inform you of everything you had done.

Alif-lam-ra kitabun ohkimatayatuhu thumma fussilat min ladun hakeeminkhabeerin

الر كتاب احكمت اياته ثم فصلت من لدن حكيم خبير

[YA]: A. L. R. (This is) a Book, with verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning), further explained in detail,- from One Who is Wise and Well-acquainted (with all things):

[RK]:A.L.R. This is a scripture whose verses have been perfected, then elucidated. It comes from a Most Wise, Most Cognizant.

Wa-inna kullan lammalayuwaffiyannahum rabbuka aAAmalahum innahu bimayaAAmaloona khabeerun

وان كلا لما ليوفينهم ربك اعمالهم انه بما يعملون خبير

[YA]: And, of a surety, to all will your Lord pay back (in full the recompense) of their deeds: for He knoweth well all that they do.

[RK]:Your Lord will surely recompense everyone for their works. He is fully Cognizant of everything they do.

Wakam ahlakna mina alqurooni minbaAAdi noohin wakafa birabbika bithunoobiAAibadihi khabeeran baseeran

وكم اهلكنا من القرون من بعد نوح وكفي بربك بذنوب عباده خبيرا بصيرا

[YA]: How many generations have We destroyed after Noah? and enough is thy Lord to note and see the sins of His servants.

[RK]:Many a generation have we annihilated after Noah. Your Lord is most efficient in dealing with the sins of His servants; He is fully Cognizant, Seer.

Inna rabbaka yabsutu alrrizqaliman yashao wayaqdiru innahu kana biAAibadihikhabeeran baseeran

ان ربك يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء ويقدر انه كان بعباده خبيرا بصيرا

[YA]: Verily thy Lord doth provide sustenance in abundance for whom He pleaseth, and He provideth in a just measure. For He doth know and regard all His servants.

[RK]:For your Lord increases the provision for anyone He chooses, and reduces it. He is fully Cognizant of His creatures, Seer.

Qul kafa biAllahishaheedan baynee wabaynakum innahu kana biAAibadihikhabeeran baseeran

قل كفي بالله شهيدا بيني وبينكم انه كان بعباده خبيرا بصيرا

[YA]: Say: "Enough is Allah for a witness between me and you: for He is well acquainted with His servants, and He sees (all things).

[RK]:Say, "GOD suffices as a witness between me and you. He is fully Cognizant of His worshipers, Seer."

وكيف تصبر علي مالم تحط به خبرا

[YA]: "And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?"

[RK]:"How can you stand that which you do not comprehend?"

Kathalika waqad ahatnabima ladayhi khubran

كذلك وقد احطنا بما لديه خبرا

[YA]: (He left them) as they were: We completely understood what was before him.

[RK]:Naturally, we were fully aware of everything he found out.

Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina alssama-imaan fatusbihu al-ardu mukhdarrataninna Allaha lateefun khabeerun

الم تر ان الله انزل من السماء ماء فتصبح الارض مخضرة ان الله لطيف خبير

[YA]: Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and forthwith the earth becomes clothed with green? for Allah is He Who understands the finest mysteries, and is well-acquainted (with them).

[RK]:Do you not see that GOD sends down from the sky water that turns the land green? GOD is Sublime, Cognizant.

Qul lilmu/mineena yaghuddoo min absarihumwayahfathoo furoojahum thalika azkalahum inna Allaha khabeerun bima yasnaAAoona

قل للمؤمنين يغضوا من ابصارهم ويحفظوا فروجهم ذلك ازكي لهم ان الله خبير بما يصنعون

[YA]: Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.

[RK]:Tell the believing men that they shall subdue their eyes (and not stare at the women), and to maintain their chastity. This is purer for them. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything they do.

Waaqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihimla-in amartahum layakhrujunna qul la tuqsimoo taAAatunmaAAroofatun inna Allaha khabeerun bima taAAmaloona

واقسموا بالله جهد ايمانهم لئن امرتهم ليخرجن قل لاتقسموا طاعة معروفة ان الله خبير بما تعملون

[YA]: They swear their strongest oaths by Allah that, if only thou wouldst command them, they would leave (their homes). Say: "Swear ye not; Obedience is (more) reasonable; verily, Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do."

[RK]:They swear by GOD, solemnly, that if you commanded them to mobilize, they would mobilize. Say, "Do not swear. Obedience is an obligation. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do."

Watawakkal AAala alhayyi allatheela yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafabihi bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran

وتوكل علي الحي الذي لايموت وسبح بحمده وكفي به بذنوب عباده خبيرا

[YA]: And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;-

[RK]:You shall put your trust in the One who is Alive - the One who never dies - and praise Him and glorify Him. He is fully Cognizant of His creatures' sins.

Allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda wama baynahuma fee sittatiayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi alrrahmanufais-al bihi khabeeran

الذي خلق السماوات والارض ومابينهما في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش الرحمن فسال به خبيرا

[YA]: He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things).

[RK]:He is the One who created the heavens and the earth, and everything between them, in six days, then assumed all authority. The Most Gracious; ask about Him those who are well founded in knowledge.

Ith qala moosa li-ahlihiinnee anastu naran saateekum minhabikhabarin aw ateekum bishihabin qabasinlaAAallakum tastaloona

اذ قال موسي لاهله اني انست نارا ساتيكم منها بخبر او اتيكم بشهاب قبس لعلكم تصطلون

[YA]: Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warn yourselves.

[RK]:Recall that Moses said to his family, "I see a fire; let me bring you news therefrom, or a torch to warm you."

Watara aljibala tahsabuhajamidatan wahiya tamurru marra alssahabi sunAAaAllahi allathee atqana kulla shay-in innahukhabeerun bima tafAAaloona

وتري الجبال تحسبها جامدة وهي تمر مر السحاب صنع الله الذي اتقن كل شئ انه خبير بما تفعلون

[YA]: Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them firmly fixed: but they shall pass away as the clouds pass away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:When you look at the mountains, you think that they are standing still. But they are moving, like the clouds. Such is the manufacture of GOD, who perfected everything. He is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Falamma qada moosaal-ajala wasara bi-ahlihi anasa min janibi alttoorinaran qala li-ahlihi omkuthoo innee anastu naranlaAAallee ateekum minha bikhabarin aw jathwatinmina alnnari laAAallakum tastaloona

فلما قضي موسي الاجل وسار باهله انس من جانب الطور نارا قال لاهله امكثوا اني انست نارا لعلي اتيكم منها بخبر او جذوة من النار لعلكم تصطلون

[YA]: Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves."

[RK]:When he had fulfilled his obligation, he traveled with his family (towards Egypt). He saw from the slope of Mount Sinai a fire. He said to his family, "Stay here. I have seen a fire. Maybe I can bring to you news, or a portion of the fire to warm you."

Ya bunayya innaha in takumithqala habbatin min khardalin fatakun fee sakhratinaw fee alssamawati aw fee al-ardiya/ti biha Allahu inna Allaha lateefunkhabeerun

يابني انها ان تك مثقال حبة من خردل فتكن في صخرة او في السماوات او في الارض يات بها الله ان الله لطيف خبير

[YA]: "O my son!" (said Luqman), "If there be (but) the weight of a mustard-seed and it were (hidden) in a rock, or (anywhere) in the heavens or on earth, Allah will bring it forth: for Allah understands the finest mysteries, (and) is well-acquainted (with them).

[RK]:"O my son, know that even something as tiny as a mustard seed, deep inside a rock, be it in the heavens or the earth, GOD will bring it. GOD is Sublime, Cognizant.

Alam tara anna Allaha yooliju allaylafee alnnahari wayooliju alnnahara feeallayli wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara kullunyajree ila ajalin musamman waanna Allaha bimataAAmaloona khabeerun

الم تر ان الله يولج الليل في النهار ويولج النهار في الليل وسخر الشمس والقمر كل يجري الي اجل مسمي وان الله بما تعملون خبير

[YA]: Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon (to his Law), each running its course for a term appointed; and that Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do?

[RK]:Do you not realize that GOD merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night, and that He has committed the sun and the moon in your service, each running in its orbit for a specific life span, and that GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do?

Inna Allaha AAindahu AAilmu alssaAAatiwayunazzilu alghaytha wayaAAlamu ma fee al-arhamiwama tadree nafsun matha taksibu ghadan wamatadree nafsun bi-ayyi ardin tamootu inna AllahaAAaleemun khabeerun

ان الله عنده علم الساعة وينزل الغيث ويعلم مافي الارحام وماتدري نفس ماذا تكسب غدا وماتدري نفس باي ارض تموت ان الله عليم خبير

[YA]: Verily the knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). It is He Who sends down rain, and He Who knows what is in the wombs. Nor does any one know what it is that he will earn on the morrow: Nor does any one know in what land he is to die. Verily with Allah is full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all things).

[RK]:With GOD is the knowledge about the Hour (end of the world). He is the One who sends down the rain, and He knows the contents of the womb. No soul knows what will happen to it tomorrow, and no one knows in which land he or she will die. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.

WaittabiAA ma yoohailayka min rabbika inna Allaha kana bimataAAmaloona khabeeran

واتبع مايوحي اليك من ربك ان الله كان بما تعملون خبيرا

[YA]: But follow that which comes to thee by inspiration from thy Lord: for Allah is well acquainted with (all) that ye do.

[RK]:Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you all do.

Waothkurna ma yutlafee buyootikunna min ayati Allahi waalhikmatiinna Allaha kana lateefan khabeeran

واذكرن مايتلي في بيوتكن من ايات الله والحكمة ان الله كان لطيفا خبيرا

[YA]: And recite what is rehearsed to you in your homes, of the Signs of Allah and His Wisdom: for Allah understands the finest mysteries and is well-acquainted (with them).

[RK]:Remember what is being recited in your homes of GOD's revelations and the wisdom inherent therein. GOD is Sublime, Cognizant.

الحمد لله الذي له مافي السماوات ومافي الارض وله الحمد في الاخرة وهو الحكيم الخبير

[YA]: Praise be to Allah, to Whom belong all things in the heavens and on earth: to Him be Praise in the Hereafter: and He is Full of Wisdom, acquainted with all things.

[RK]:Praise be to GOD - to whom belongs everything in the heavens and the earth; all praise is also due to Him in the Hereafter. He is the Most Wise, the Cognizant.

In tadAAoohum la yasmaAAoo duAAaakumwalaw samiAAoo ma istajaboo lakum wayawma alqiyamatiyakfuroona bishirkikum wala yunabbi-oka mithlu khabeerin

ان تدعوهم لايسمعوا دعاءكم ولو سمعوا مااستجابوا لكم ويوم القيامة يكفرون بشرككم ولاينبئك مثل خبير

[YA]: If ye invoke them, they will not listen to your call, and if they were to listen, they cannot answer your (prayer). On the Day of Judgment they will reject your "Partnership". and none, (O man!) can tell thee (the Truth) like the One Who is acquainted with all things.

[RK]:If you call on them, they cannot hear you. Even if they hear you, they cannot respond to you. On the Day of Resurrection, they will disown you. None can inform you like the Most Cognizant.

Waallathee awhaynailayka mina alkitabi huwa alhaqqu musaddiqanlima bayna yadayhi inna Allaha biAAibadihilakhabeerun baseerun

والذي اوحينا اليك من الكتاب هو الحق مصدقا لما بين يديه ان الله بعباده لخبير بصير

[YA]: That which We have revealed to thee of the Book is the Truth,- confirming what was (revealed) before it: for Allah is assuredly- with respect to His Servants - well acquainted and Fully Observant.

[RK]:What we revealed to you in this scripture is the truth, consummating all previous scriptures. GOD is fully Cognizant of His servants, Seer.

Walaw basata Allahu alrrizqaliAAibadihi labaghaw fee al-ardi walakinyunazzilu biqadarin ma yashao innahu biAAibadihikhabeerun baseerun

ولو بسط الله الرزق لعباده لبغوا في الارض ولكن ينزل بقدر مايشاء انه بعباده خبير بصير

[YA]: If Allah were to enlarge the provision for His Servants, they would indeed transgress beyond all bounds through the earth; but he sends (it) down in due measure as He pleases. For He is with His Servants Well-acquainted, Watchful.

[RK]:If GOD increased the provision for His servants, they would transgress on earth. This is why He sends it precisely measured to whomever He wills. He is fully Cognizant and Seer of His servants.

Walanabluwannakum hattanaAAlama almujahideena minkum waalssabireenawanabluwa akhbarakum

ولنبلونكم حتي نعلم المجاهدين منكم والصابرين ونبلوا اخباركم

[YA]: And We shall try you until We test those among you who strive their utmost and persevere in patience; and We shall try your reported (mettle).

[RK]:We will certainly put you to the test, in order to distinguish those among you who strive, and steadfastly persevere. We must expose your true qualities.

Sayaqoolu laka almukhallafoona mina al-aAArabishaghalatna amwaluna waahloona faistaghfirlana yaqooloona bi-alsinatihim ma laysa feequloobihim qul faman yamliku lakum mina Allahi shay-an inarada bikum darran aw arada bikum nafAAanbal kana Allahu bima taAAmaloona khabeeran

سيقول لك المخلفون من الاعراب شغلتنا اموالنا واهلونا فاستغفر لنا يقولون بالسنتهم ماليس في قلوبهم قل فمن يملكم من الله شيئا ان اراد بكم ضرا او اراد بكم نفعا بل كان الله بما تعملون خبيرا

[YA]: The desert Arabs who lagged behind will say to thee: "We were engaged in (looking after) our flocks and herds, and our families: do thou then ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:The sedentary Arabs who stay behind will say, "We have been preoccupied with our money and our families, so ask forgiveness for us!" They utter with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say, "Who can protect you from GOD, if He willed any adversity for you, or if He willed any blessing for you?" GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Ya ayyuha alnnasuinna khalaqnakum min thakarin waonthawajaAAalnakum shuAAooban waqaba-ila litaAAarafooinna akramakum AAinda Allahi atqakum inna AllahaAAaleemun khabeerun

ياايها الناس انا خلقناكم من ذكر وانثي وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا ان اكرمكم عند الله اتقاكم ان الله عليم خبير

[YA]: O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).

[RK]:O people, we created you from the same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.

Wama lakum alla tunfiqoo feesabeeli Allahi walillahi meerathu alssamawatiwaal-ardi la yastawee minkum man anfaqa minqabli alfathi waqatala ola-ika aAAthamudarajatan mina allatheena anfaqoo min baAAdu waqataloowakullan waAAada Allahu alhusna waAllahubima taAAmaloona khabeerun

ومالكم الا تنفقوا في سبيل الله ولله ميراث السماوات والارض لايستوي منكم من انفق من قبل الفتح وقاتل اولئك اعظم درجة من الذين انفقوا من بعد وقاتلوا وكلا وعد الله الحسني والله بما تعملون خبير

[YA]: And what cause have ye why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah?- For to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought, before the Victory, (with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward). And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:Why do you not spend in the cause of GOD, when GOD possesses all wealth in the heavens and the earth? Distinguished from the rest are those among you who spend before the victory and strive. They attain a greater rank than those who spend after the victory and strive. For each, GOD promises salvation. GOD is Cognizant of everything you do.

Waallatheena yuthahiroonamin nisa-ihim thumma yaAAoodoona lima qaloofatahreeru raqabatin min qabli an yatamassa thalikumtooAAathoona bihi waAllahu bimataAAmaloona khabeerun

والذين يظاهرون من نسائهم ثم يعودون لما قالوا فتحرير رقبة من قبل ان يتماسا ذلكم توعظون به والله بما تعلمون خبير

[YA]: But those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to go back on the words they uttered,- (It is ordained that such a one) should free a slave before they touch each other: Thus are ye admonished to perform: and Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.

[RK]:Those who estrange their wives in this manner, then reconcile thereafter, shall atone by freeing a slave before resuming their sexual relations. This is to enlighten you. GOD is Cognizant of everything you do.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha qeela lakum tafassahoo fee almajalisifaifsahoo yafsahi Allahu lakum wa-ithaqeela onshuzoo faonshuzoo yarfaAAi Allahu allatheenaamanoo minkum waallatheena ootoo alAAilmadarajatin waAllahu bima taAAmaloonakhabeerun

ياايها الذين امنوا اذا قيل لكم تفسحوا في المجالس فافسحوا يفسح الله لكم واذا قيل انشزوا فانشزوا يرفع الله الذين امنوا منكم والذين اوتوا العلم درجات والله بما تعملون خبير

[YA]: O ye who believe! When ye are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room: (ample) room will Allah provide for you. And when ye are told to rise up, rise up Allah will rise up, to (suitable) ranks (and degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted (mystic) Knowledge. And Allah is well-acquainted with all ye do.

[RK]:O you who believe, if you are told, "Please make room," you shall make room for each other to sit. GOD will then make room for you. If you are asked to get up and move, get up and move. GOD raises those among you who believe, and those who acquire knowledge to higher ranks. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Aashfaqtum an tuqaddimoo bayna yaday najwakumsadaqatin fa-ith lam tafAAaloo watabaAllahu AAalaykum faaqeemoo alssalatawaatoo alzzakata waateeAAoo Allahawarasoolahu waAllahu khabeerun bimataAAmaloona

ءاشفقتم ان تقدموا بين يدي نجواكم صدقات فاذ لم تفعلوا وتاب الله عليكم فاقيموا الصلاة واتوا الزكاة واطيعوا الله ورسوله والله خبير بما تعملون

[YA]: Is it that ye are afraid of spending sums in charity before your private consultation (with him)? If, then, ye do not so, and Allah forgives you, then (at least) establish regular prayer; practise regular charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:If you failed to give to charity before conferring, then repented thereafter, GOD accepts your repentance. You shall observe the contact prayers (Salat), give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and obey GOD and His messenger. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooittaqoo Allaha waltanthur nafsun maqaddamat lighadin waittaqoo Allaha inna Allahakhabeerun bima taAAmaloona

ياايها الذين امنوا اتقوا الله ولتنظر نفس ماقدمت لغد واتقوا الله ان الله خبير بما تعملون

[YA]: O ye who believe! Fear Allah, and let every soul look to what (provision) He has sent forth for the morrow. Yea, fear Allah: for Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do.

[RK]:O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and let every soul examine what it has sent ahead for tomorrow. You shall reverence GOD; GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Walan yu-akhkhira Allahu nafsan ithajaa ajaluha waAllahu khabeerun bimataAAmaloona

ولن يؤخر الله نفسا اذا جاء اجلها والله خبير بما تعملون

[YA]: But to no soul will Allah grant respite when the time appointed (for it) has come; and Allah is well acquainted with (all) that ye do.

[RK]:GOD never delays the appointed time of death for any soul. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Faaminoo biAllahiwarasoolihi waalnnoori allathee anzalna waAllahubima taAAmaloona khabeerun

فامنوا بالله ورسوله والنور الذي انزلنا والله بما تعملون خبير

[YA]: Believe, therefore, in Allah and His Messenger, and in the Light which we have sent down. And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messenger, and the light that we have revealed herein. GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

Wa-ith asarra alnnabiyyu ilabaAAdi azwajihi hadeethan falammanabbaat bihi waathharahu Allahu AAalayhiAAarrafa baAAdahu waaAArada AAan baAAdinfalamma nabbaaha bihi qalat man anbaaka hathaqala nabbaaniya alAAaleemu alkhabeeru

واذ اسر النبي الي بعض ازواجه حديثا فلما نبات به واظهره الله عليه عرف بعضه واعرض عن بعض فلما نباها به قالت من انباك هذا قال نباني العليم الخبير

[YA]: When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)."

[RK]:The prophet had trusted some of his wives with a certain statement, then one of them spread it, and GOD let him know about it. He then informed his wife of part of the issue, and disregarded part. She asked him, "Who informed you of this?" He said, "I was informed by the Omniscient, Most Cognizant."

Ala yaAAlamu man khalaqa wahuwa allateefualkhabeeru

الا يعلم من خلق وهو اللطيف الخبير

[YA]: Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them).

[RK]:Should He not know what He created? He is the Sublime, Most Cognizant.
