[YA]: Behold! when they meet the men of Faith, they say: "We believe": But when they meet each other in private, they say: "Shall you tell them what Allah hath revealed to you, that they may engage you in argument about it before your Lord?"- Do ye not understand (their aim)? [RK]:And when they meet the believers, they say, "We believe," but when they get together with each other, they say, "Do not inform (the believers) of the information given to you by GOD, lest you provide them with support for their argument concerning your Lord. Do you not understand?"
2 | [4:42] Line:535 |
| ||
[YA]: On that day those who reject Faith and disobey the messenger will wish that the earth Were made one with them: But never will they hide a single fact from Allah! [RK]:On that day, those who disbelieved and disobeyed the messenger will wish that they were level with the ground; not a single utterance will they be able to hide from GOD.
3 | [4:78] Line:571 |
| ||
[YA]: "Wherever ye are, death will find you out, even if ye are in towers built up strong and high!" If some good befalls them, they say, "This is from Allah"; but if evil, they say, "This is from thee" (O Prophet). Say: "All things are from Allah." But what hath come to these people, that they fail to understand a single fact? [RK]:Wherever you are, death will catch up with you, even if you live in formidable castles. When something good happens to them, they say, "This is from GOD," and when something bad afflicts them, they blame you. Say, "Everything comes from GOD." Why do these people misunderstand almost everything?
4 | [4:87] Line:580 |
| ||
[YA]: Allah! There is no god but He: of a surety He will gather you together against the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. And whose word can be truer than Allah's? [RK]:GOD: there is no god except He. He will surely summon you on the Day of Resurrection - the inevitable day. Whose narration is more truthful than GOD's?
5 | [4:140] Line:633 |
| ||
[YA]: Already has He sent you Word in the Book, that when ye hear the signs of Allah held in defiance and ridicule, ye are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme: if ye did, ye would be like them. For Allah will collect the hypocrites and those who defy faith - all in Hell:- [RK]:He has instructed you in the scripture that: if you hear GOD's revelations being mocked and ridiculed, you shall not sit with them, unless they delve into another subject. Otherwise, you will be as guilty as they are. GOD will gather the hypocrites and the disbelievers together in Hell.
6 | [6:68] Line:857 |
| ||
[YA]: When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong. [RK]:If you see those who mock our revelations, you shall avoid them until they delve into another subject. If the devil causes you to forget, then, as soon as you remember, do not sit with such evil people.
7 | [7:185] Line:1139 |
| ||
[YA]: Do they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that Allah hath created? (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe? [RK]:Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all the things GOD has created? Does it ever occur to them that the end of their life may be near? Which Hadith, beside this, do they believe in?
8 | [12:6] Line:1602 |
| ||
[YA]: "Thus will thy Lord choose thee and teach thee the interpretation of stories (and events) and perfect His favour to thee and to the posterity of Jacob - even as He perfected it to thy fathers Abraham and Isaac aforetime! for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom." [RK]:"Your Lord has thus blessed you, and has given you good news through your dream. He has perfected His blessings upon you and upon the family of Jacob, as He did for your ancestors Abraham and Isaac before that. Your Lord is Omniscient, Most Wise."
9 | [12:21] Line:1617 |
| ||
[YA]: The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: "Make his stay (among us) honourable: may be he will bring us much good, or we shall adopt him as a son." Thus did We establish Joseph in the land, that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events). And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not. [RK]:The one who bought him in Egypt said to his wife, "Take good care of him. Maybe he can help us, or maybe we can adopt him." We thus established Joseph on earth, and we taught him the interpretation of dreams. GOD's command is always done, but most people do not know.
10 | [12:101] Line:1697 |
| ||
[YA]: "O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous." [RK]:"My Lord, You have given me kingship and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Initiator of the heavens and the earth; You are my Lord and Master in this life and in the Hereafter. Let me die as a submitter, and count me with the righteous."
11 | [12:111] Line:1707 |
| ||
[YA]: There is, in their stories, instruction for men endued with understanding. It is not a tale invented, but a confirmation of what went before it,- a detailed exposition of all things, and a guide and a mercy to any such as believe. [RK]:In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess intelligence. This is not fabricated Hadith; this (Quran) confirms all previous scriptures, provides the details of everything, and is a beacon and mercy for those who believe.
12 | [18:6] Line:2146 |
| ||
[YA]: Thou wouldst only, perchance, fret thyself to death, following after them, in grief, if they believe not in this Message. [RK]:You may blame yourself on account of their response to this narration, and their disbelieving in it; you may be saddened.
13 | [18:70] Line:2210 |
| ||
[YA]: The other said: "If then thou wouldst follow me, ask me no questions about anything until I myself speak to thee concerning it." [RK]:He said, "If you follow me, then you shall not ask me about anything, unless I choose to tell you about it."
14 | [20:9] Line:2357 |
| ||
[YA]: Has the story of Moses reached thee? [RK]:Have you noted the history of Moses?
15 | [20:113] Line:2461 |
| ||
[YA]: Thus have We sent this down - an arabic Qur'an - and explained therein in detail some of the warnings, in order that they may fear Allah, or that it may cause their remembrance (of Him). [RK]:We thus revealed it, an Arabic Quran, and we cited in it all kinds of prophecies, that they may be saved, or it may cause them to take heed.
16 | [21:2] Line:2485 |
| ||
[YA]: Never comes (aught) to them of a renewed Message from their Lord, but they listen to it as in jest,- [RK]:When a proof comes to them from their Lord, that is new, they listen to it heedlessly.
17 | [23:44] Line:2717 |
| ||
[YA]: Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! [RK]:Then we sent our messengers in succession. Every time a messenger went to his community, they disbelieved him. Consequently, we annihilated them, one after the other, and made them history. The people who disbelieved have perished.
18 | [26:5] Line:2937 |
| ||
[YA]: But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom. [RK]:Whenever a reminder from the Most Gracious comes to them, that is new, they turn away in aversion.
19 | [31:6] Line:3475 |
| ||
[YA]: But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty. [RK]:Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of GOD without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution.
20 | [33:53] Line:3586 |
| ||
[YA]: O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity. [RK]:O you who believe, do not enter the prophet's homes unless you are given permission to eat, nor shall you force such an invitation in any manner. If you are invited, you may enter. When you finish eating, you shall leave; do not engage him in lengthy conversations. This used to hurt the prophet, and he was too shy to tell you. But GOD does not shy away from the truth. If you have to ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and their hearts. You are not to hurt the messenger of GOD. You shall not marry his wives after him, for this would be a gross offense in the sight of GOD.
21 | [34:19] Line:3625 |
| ||
[YA]: But they said: "Our Lord! Place longer distances between our journey-stages": but they wronged themselves (therein). At length We made them as a tale (that is told), and We dispersed them all in scattered fragments. Verily in this are Signs for every (soul that is) patiently constant and grateful. [RK]:But they (turned unappreciative and) challenged: "Our Lord, we do not care if You increase the distance of our journeys (without any stations)." They thus wronged their own souls. Consequently, we made them history, and scattered them into small communities throughout the land. This should provide lessons for those who are steadfast, appreciative.
22 | [39:23] Line:4081 |
| ||
[YA]: Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide. [RK]:GOD has revealed herein the best Hadith; a book that is consistent, and points out both ways (to Heaven and Hell). The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for GOD's message. Such is GOD's guidance; He bestows it upon whoever wills (to be guided). As for those sent astray by GOD, nothing can guide them.
23 | [45:6] Line:4479 |
| ||
[YA]: Such are the Signs of Allah, which We rehearse to thee in Truth; then in what exposition will they believe after (rejecting) Allah and His Signs? [RK]:These are GOD's revelations that we recite to you truthfully. In which Hadith other than GOD and His revelations do they believe?
24 | [51:24] Line:4699 |
| ||
[YA]: Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? [RK]:Have you noted the history of Abraham's honorable guests?
25 | [52:34] Line:4769 |
| ||
[YA]: Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! [RK]:Let them produce a Hadith like this, if they are truthful.
26 | [53:59] Line:4843 |
| ||
[YA]: Do ye then wonder at this recital? [RK]:Are you questioning this matter?
27 | [56:81] Line:5060 |
| ||
[YA]: Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem? [RK]:Are you disregarding this narration?
28 | [65:1] Line:5218 |
| ||
[YA]: O Prophet! When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately), their prescribed periods: And fear Allah your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by Allah: and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation. [RK]:O you prophet, when you people divorce the women, you shall ensure that a divorce interim is fulfilled. You shall measure such an interim precisely. You shall reverence GOD your Lord. Do not evict them from their homes, nor shall you make life miserable for them, to force them to leave on their own, unless they commit a proven adultery. These are GOD's laws. Anyone who transgresses GOD's laws commits an injustice against himself. You never know; maybe GOD wills something good to come out of this.
29 | [66:3] Line:5232 |
| ||
[YA]: When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)." [RK]:The prophet had trusted some of his wives with a certain statement, then one of them spread it, and GOD let him know about it. He then informed his wife of part of the issue, and disregarded part. She asked him, "Who informed you of this?" He said, "I was informed by the Omniscient, Most Cognizant."
30 | [68:44] Line:5315 |
| ||
[YA]: Then leave Me alone with such as reject this Message: by degrees shall We punish them from directions they perceive not. [RK]:Therefore, let Me deal with those who reject this Hadith; we will lead them on whence they never perceive.
31 | [77:50] Line:5672 |
| ||
[YA]: Then what Message, after that, will they believe in? [RK]:Which Hadith, other than this, do they uphold?
32 | [79:15] Line:5727 |
| ||
[YA]: Has the story of Moses reached thee? [RK]:Have you known about the history of Moses?
33 | [85:17] Line:5926 |
| ||
[YA]: Has the story reached thee, of the forces- [RK]:Did you note the history of the troops?
34 | [88:1] Line:5968 |
| ||
[YA]: Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event)? [RK]:Are you aware of the Overwhelming?
35 | [93:11] Line:6090 |
| ||
[YA]: But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! [RK]:You shall proclaim the blessing your Lord has bestowed upon you.
36 | [99:4] Line:6142 |
| ||
[YA]: On that Day will she declare her tidings: [RK]:On that day, it will tell its news.
