Faazallahuma alshshaytanuAAanha faakhrajahuma mimma kanafeehi waqulna ihbitoo baAAdukum libaAAdinAAaduwwun walakum fee al-ardi mustaqarrun wamataAAunila heeninفازلهما الشيطان عنها فاخرجهما مما كانا فيه وقلنا اهبطوا بعضكم لبعض عدو ولكم في الارض مستقر ومتاع الي حين
[YA]: Then did Satan make them slip from the (garden), and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We said: "Get ye down, all (ye people), with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood - for a time."

[RK]:But the devil duped them, and caused their eviction therefrom. We said, "Go down as enemies of one another. On Earth shall be your habitation and provision for awhile."

Wa-ith akhathna meethaqakumla tasfikoona dimaakum wala tukhrijoonaanfusakum min diyarikum thumma aqrartum waantum tashhadoonaواذا اخذنا ميثاقكم لاتسفكون دماءكم ولاتخرجون انفسكم من دياركم ثم اقررتم وانتم تشهدون
[YA]: And remember We took your covenant (to this effect): Shed no blood amongst you, nor turn out your own people from your homes: and this ye solemnly ratified, and to this ye can bear witness.

[RK]:We made a covenant with you, that you shall not shed your blood, nor shall you evict each other from your homes. You agreed and bore witness.

Wa-ith akhatha Allahumeethaqa alnnabiyyeena lama ataytukummin kitabin wahikmatin thumma jaakumrasoolun musaddiqun lima maAAakum latu/minunna bihiwalatansurunnahu qala aaqrartum waakhathtumAAala thalikum isree qaloo aqrarnaqala faishhadoo waana maAAakum mina alshshahideenaواذ اخذ الله ميثاق النبيين لما اتيتكم من كتاب وحكمة ثم جاءكم رسول مصدق لما معكم لتؤمنن به ولتنصرنه قال ءاقررتم واخذتم علي ذلكم اصري قالوا اقررنا قال فاشهدوا وانا معكم من الشاهدين
[YA]: Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

[RK]:GOD took a covenant from the prophets, saying, "I will give you the scripture and wisdom. Afterwards, a messenger will come to confirm all existing scriptures. You shall believe in him and support him." He said, "Do you agree with this, and pledge to fulfill this covenant?" They said, "We agree." He said, "You have thus borne witness, and I bear witness along with you."

[YA]: For every message is a limit of time, and soon shall ye know it."

[RK]:Every prophecy herein will come to pass, and you will surely find out.

Wahuwa allathee anshaakum min nafsinwahidatin famustaqarrun wamustawdaAAun qad fassalnaal-ayati liqawmin yafqahoonaوهو الذي انشاكم من نفس واحدة فمستقر ومستودع قد فصلنا الايات لقوم يفقهون
[YA]: It is He Who hath produced you from a single person: here is a place of sojourn and a place of departure: We detail Our signs for people who understand.

[RK]:He initiated you from one person, and decided your path, as well as your final destiny. We thus clarify the revelations for people who understand.

Qala ihbitoo baAAdukumlibaAAdin AAaduwwun walakum fee al-ardi mustaqarrunwamataAAun ila heeninقال اهبطوا بعضكم لبعض عدو ولكم في الارض مستقر ومتاع الي حين
[YA]: (Allah) said: "Get ye down. With enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood,- for a time."

[RK]:He said, "Go down as enemies of one another. On earth shall be your habitation and provision for awhile."

Walamma jaa moosalimeeqatina wakallamahu rabbuhu qala rabbiarinee anthur ilayka qala lan taraneewalakini onthur ila aljabali fa-iniistaqarra makanahu fasawfa taranee falammatajalla rabbuhu liljabali jaAAalahu dakkan wakharra moosasaAAiqan falamma afaqa qala subhanakatubtu ilayka waana awwalu almu/mineenaولما جاء موسي لميقاتنا وكلمه ربه قال رب ارني انظر اليك قال لن تراني ولكن انظر الي الجبل فان استقر مكانه فسوف تراني فلما تجلي ربه للجبل جعله دكا وخر موسي صعقا فلما افاق قال سبحانك تبت اليك وانا اول المؤمنين
[YA]: When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe."

[RK]:When Moses came at our appointed time, and his Lord spoke with him, he said, "My Lord, let me look and see You." He said, "You cannot see Me. Look at that mountain; if it stays in its place, then you can see Me." Then, his Lord manifested Himself to the mountain, and this caused it to crumble. Moses fell unconscious. When he came to, he said, "Be You glorified. I repent to You, and I am the most convinced believer."

Wama min dabbatin fee al-ardiilla AAala Allahi rizquha wayaAAlamumustaqarraha wamustawdaAAaha kullun fee kitabinmubeeninومامن دابة في الارض الا علي الله رزقها ويعلم مستقرها ومستودعها كل في كتاب مبين
[YA]: There is no moving creature on earth but its sustenance dependeth on Allah: He knoweth the time and place of its definite abode and its temporary deposit: All is in a clear Record.

[RK]:There is not a creature on earth whose provision is not guaranteed by GOD. And He knows its course and its final destiny. All are recorded in a profound record.

Wamathalu kalimatin khabeethatinkashajaratin khabeethatin ijtuththat min fawqi al-ardi malaha min qararinومثل كلمة خبيثة كشجرة خبيثة اجتثت من فوق الارض مالها من قرار
[YA]: And the parable of an evil Word is that of an evil tree: It is torn up by the root from the surface of the earth: it has no stability.

[RK]:And the example of the bad word is that of a bad tree chopped at the soil level; it has no roots to keep it standing.

[YA]: Into Hell? They will burn therein,- an evil place to stay in!

[RK]:Hell is their destiny, wherein they burn; what a miserable end!

Ith tamshee okhtuka fataqoolu haladullukum AAala man yakfuluhu farajaAAnaka ilaommika kay taqarra AAaynuha wala tahzanawaqatalta nafsan fanajjaynaka mina alghammi wafatannakafutoonan falabithta sineena fee ahli madyana thumma ji/ta AAalaqadarin ya moosaاذ تمشي اختك فتقول هل ادلكم علي من يكفله فرجعناك الي امك كي تقر عينها ولاتحزن وقتلت نفسا فنجيناك من الغم وفتناك فتونا فلبثت سنين في اهل مدين ثم جئت علي قدر ياموسي
[YA]: "Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses!

[RK]:"Your sister walked to them and said, `I can tell you about a nursing mother who can take good care of him.' We thus returned you to your mother, that she may be happy and stop worrying. And when you killed a person, we saved you from the grievous consequences; indeed we tested you thoroughly. You stayed years with the people of Midyan, and now you have come back in accordance with a precise plan.

[YA]: Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed;

[RK]:Subsequently, we reproduced him from a tiny drop, that is placed into a well protected repository.

WajaAAalna ibna maryama waommahu ayatanwaawaynahuma ila rabwatin thatiqararin wamaAAeeninوجعلنا ابن مريم وامه اية واويناهما الي ربوة ذات قرار ومعين
[YA]: And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs.

[RK]:We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign, and we gave them refuge on a mesa with food and drink.

As-habu aljannati yawma-ithinkhayrun mustaqarran waahsanu maqeelanاصحاب الجنة يومئذ خير مستقرا واحسن مقيلا
[YA]: The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose.

[RK]:The dwellers of Paradise are far better on that day; they will hear better news.

[YA]: "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in";

[RK]:"It is the worst abode; the worst destiny."

[YA]: And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous."

[RK]:And they say, "Our Lord, let our spouses and children be a source of joy for us, and keep us in the forefront of the righteous."

[YA]: Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest!

[RK]:Eternally they abide therein; what a beautiful destiny; what a beautiful abode.

Qala allathee AAindahu AAilmunmina alkitabi ana ateeka bihi qabla anyartadda ilayka tarfuka falamma raahumustaqirran AAindahu qala hatha min fadlirabbee liyabluwanee aashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fa-innamayashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fa-inna rabbee ghaniyyun kareemunقال الذي عنده علم من الكتاب انا اتيك به قبل ان يرتد اليك طرفك فلما راه مستقرا عنده قال هذا من فضل ربي ليبلوني ءاشكر ام اكفر ومن شكر فانما يشكر لنفسه ومن كفر فان ربي غني كريم
[YA]: Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!- to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in Honour !"

[RK]:The one who possessed knowledge from the book said, "I can bring it to you in the blink of your eye." When he saw it settled in front of him, he said, "This is a blessing from my Lord, whereby He tests me, to show whether I am appreciative or unappreciative. Whoever is appreciative is appreciative for his own good, and if one turns unappreciative, then my Lord is in no need for him, Most Honorable."

Amman jaAAala al-arda qararanwajaAAala khilalaha anharan wajaAAala laharawasiya wajaAAala bayna albahrayni hajizana-ilahun maAAa Allahi bal aktharuhum layaAAlamoonaامن جعل الارض قرارا وجعل خلالها انهارا وجعل لها رواسي وجعل بين البحرين حاجزا ءاله مع الله بل اكثرهم لايعلمون
[YA]: Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not.

[RK]:Who is the One who made the earth habitable, caused rivers to run through it, placed on it mountains, and created a barrier between the two waters? Is it another god with GOD? Indeed, most of them do not know.

Waqalati imraatu firAAawna qurratuAAaynin lee walaka la taqtuloohu AAasa an yanfaAAanaaw nattakhithahu waladan wahum la yashAAuroonaوقالت امراة فرعون قرة عين لي ولك لاتقتلوه عسي ان ينفعنا او نتخذه ولدا وهم لايشعرون
[YA]: The wife of Pharaoh said: "(Here is) joy of the eye, for me and for thee: slay him not. It may be that he will be use to us, or we may adopt him as a son." And they perceived not (what they were doing)!

[RK]:Pharaoh's wife said, "This can be a joyous find for me and you. Do not kill him, for he may be of some benefit for us, or we may adopt him to be our son." They had no idea.

Faradadnahu ila ommihi kaytaqarra AAaynuha wala tahzana walitaAAlamaanna waAAda Allahi haqqun walakinnaaktharahum la yaAAlamoonaفرددناه الي امه كي تقر عينها ولاتحزن ولتعلم ان وعد الله حق ولكن اكثرهم لايعلمون
[YA]: Thus did We restore him to his mother, that her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand.

[RK]:Thus, we restored him to his mother, in order to please her, remove her worries, and to let her know that GOD's promise is the truth. However, most of them do not know.

Fala taAAlamu nafsun maokhfiya lahum min qurrati aAAyunin jazaan bima kanooyaAAmaloonaفلا تعلم نفس مااخفي لهم من قرة اعين جزاء بما كانوا يعملون
[YA]: Now no person knows what delights of the eye are kept hidden (in reserve) for them - as a reward for their (good) deeds.

[RK]:You have no idea how much joy and happiness are waiting for you as a reward for your (righteous) works.

Waqarna fee buyootikunna walatabarrajna tabarruja aljahiliyyati al-oola waaqimnaalssalata waateena alzzakatawaatiAAna Allaha warasoolahu innama yureeduAllahu liyuthhiba AAankumu alrrijsa ahlaalbayti wayutahhirakum tatheeranوقرن في بيوتكن ولاتبرجن تبرج الجاهلية الاولي واقمن الصلاة واتين الزكاة واطعن الله ورسوله انما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس اهل البيت ويطهركم تطهيرا
[YA]: And stay quietly in your houses, and make not a dazzling display, like that of the former Times of Ignorance; and establish regular Prayer, and give regular Charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah only wishes to remove all abomination from you, ye members of the Family, and to make you pure and spotless.

[RK]:You shall settle down in your homes, and do not mingle with the people excessively, like you used to do in the old days of ignorance. You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and obey GOD and His messenger. GOD wishes to remove all unholiness from you, O you who live around the Sacred Shrine, and to purify you completely.

Turjee man tashao minhunna watu/weeilayka man tashao wamani ibtaghayta mimman AAazalta falajunaha AAalayka thalika adna an taqarraaAAyunuhunna wala yahzanna wayardayna bimaataytahunna kulluhunna waAllahu yaAAlamu mafee quloobikum wakana Allahu AAaleeman haleemanترجي من تشاء منهن وتؤوي اليك من تشاء ومن ابتغيت ممن عزلت فلا جناح عليك ذلك ادني ان تقر اعينهن ولايحزن ويرضين بما اتيتهن كلهن والله يعلم مافي قلوبكم وكان الله عليما حليما
[YA]: Thou mayest defer (the turn of) any of them that thou pleasest, and thou mayest receive any thou pleasest: and there is no blame on thee if thou invite one whose (turn) thou hadst set aside. This were nigher to the cooling of their eyes, the prevention of their grief, and their satisfaction - that of all of them - with that which thou hast to give them: and Allah knows (all) that is in your hearts: and Allah is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing.

[RK]:You may gently shun any one of them, and you may bring closer to you any one of them. If you reconcile with any one you had estranged, you commit no error. In this way, they will be pleased, will have no grief, and will be content with what you equitably offer to all of them. GOD knows what is in your hearts. GOD is Omniscient, Clement.

Waalshshamsu tajree limustaqarrin lahathalika taqdeeru alAAazeezi alAAaleemiوالشمس تجري لمستقر لها ذلك تقدير العزيز العليم
[YA]: And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.

[RK]:The sun sets into a specific location, according to the design of the Almighty, the Omniscient.

Qaloo bal antum la marhabanbikum antum qaddamtumoohu lana fabi/sa alqararuقالوا بل انتم لامرحبا بكم انتم قدمتموه لنا فبئس القرار
[YA]: (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!"

[RK]:The newcomers will respond, "Nor are you welcomed. You are the ones who preceded us and misled us. Therefore, suffer this miserable end."

[YA]: "O my people! This life of the present is nothing but (temporary) convenience: It is the Hereafter that is the Home that will last.

[RK]:"O my people, this first life is a temporary illusion, while the Hereafter is the eternal abode."

Allahu allathee jaAAala lakumual-arda qararan waalssamaa binaanwasawwarakum faahsana suwarakum warazaqakummina alttayyibati thalikumu Allahurabbukum fatabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameenaالله الذي جعل لكم الارض قرارا والسماء بناء وصوركم فاحسن صوركم ورزقكم من الطيبات ذلكم الله ربكم فتبارك الله رب العالمين
[YA]: It is Allah Who has made for you the earth as a resting place, and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape- and made your shapes beautiful,- and has provided for you Sustenance, of things pure and good;- such is Allah your Lord. So Glory to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!

[RK]:GOD is the One who rendered the earth habitable for you, and the sky a formidable structure, and He designed you, and designed you well. He is the One who provides you with good provisions. Such is GOD your Lord; Most Exalted is GOD, Lord of the universe.

Wakaththaboo waittabaAAoo ahwaahumwakullu amrin mustaqirrunوكذبوا واتبعوا اهواءهم وكل امر مستقر
[YA]: They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) lusts but every matter has its appointed time.

[RK]:They disbelieved, followed their opinions, and adhered to their old traditions.

[YA]: Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them:

[RK]:Early the next morning, a devastating retribution struck them.

[YA]: Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest.

[RK]:To your Lord, on that day, is the final destiny.

[YA]: The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed,

[RK]:Then we placed it in a well-protected repository.
