Min qablu hudan lilnnasiwaanzala alfurqana inna allatheena kafaroo bi-ayatiAllahi lahum AAathabun shadeedun waAllahuAAazeezun thoo intiqamin

من قبل هدي للناس وانزل الفرقان ان الذين كفروا بايات الله لهم عذاب شديد والله عزيز ذو انتقام

[YA]: Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest penalty, and Allah is Exalted in Might, Lord of Retribution.

[RK]:before that, to guide the people, and He sent down the statute book. Those who disbelieve in GOD's revelations incur severe retribution. GOD is Almighty, Avenger.

Qul ya ahla alkitabi haltanqimoona minna illa an amanna biAllahiwama onzila ilayna wama onzila min qabluwaanna aktharakum fasiqoona

قل يااهل الكتاب هل تنقمون منا الا ان امنا بالله وماانزل الينا وماانزل من قبل وان اكثركم فاسقون

[YA]: Say: "O people of the Book! Do ye disapprove of us for no other reason than that we believe in Allah, and the revelation that hath come to us and that which came before (us), and (perhaps) that most of you are rebellious and disobedient?"

[RK]:Say, "O people of the scripture, do you not hate us because we believe in GOD, and in what was revealed to us, and in what was revealed before us, and because most of you are not righteous?"

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola taqtuloo alssayda waantum hurumunwaman qatalahu minkum mutaAAammidan fajazaon mithlu maqatala mina alnnaAAami yahkumu bihi thawaAAadlin minkum hadyan baligha alkaAAbati aw kaffaratuntaAAamu masakeena aw AAadlu thalika siyamanliyathooqa wabala amrihi AAafa AllahuAAamma salafa waman AAada fayantaqimu Allahuminhu waAllahu AAazeezun thoo intiqamin

ياايها الذين امنوا لاتقتلوا الصيد وانتم حرم ومن قتله منكم متعمدا فجزاء مثل ماقتل من النعم يحكم به ذوا عدل منكم هديا بالغ الكعبة او كفارة طعام مساكين او عدل ذلك صياما ليذوق وبال امره عفا الله عما سلف ومن عاد فينتقم الله منه والله عزيز ذو انتقام

[YA]: O ye who believe! Kill not game while in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. If any of you doth so intentionally, the compensation is an offering, brought to the Ka'ba, of a domestic animal equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or by way of atonement, the feeding of the indigent; or its equivalent in fasts: that he may taste of the penalty of his deed. Allah forgives what is past: for repetition Allah will exact from him the penalty. For Allah is Exalted, and Lord of Retribution.

[RK]:O you who believe, do not kill any game during pilgrimage. Anyone who kills any game on purpose, his fine shall be a number of livestock animals that is equivalent to the game animals he killed. The judgment shall be set by two equitable people among you. They shall make sure that the offerings reach the Ka`bah. Otherwise, he may expiate by feeding poor people, or by an equivalent fast to atone for his offense. GOD has pardoned past offenses. But if anyone returns to such an offense, GOD will avenge it. GOD is Almighty, Avenger.

Wama tanqimu minna illaan amanna bi-ayati rabbinalamma jaatna rabbana afrigh AAalaynasabran watawaffana muslimeena

وماتنقم منا الا ان امنا بايات ربنا لما جاءتنا ربنا افرغ علينا صبرا وتوفنا مسلمين

[YA]: "But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience and constancy, and take our souls unto thee as Muslims (who bow to thy will)!

[RK]:"You persecute us simply because we believed in the proofs of our Lord when they came to us." "Our Lord, grant us steadfastness, and let us die as submitters."

Faintaqamna minhum faaghraqnahumfee alyammi bi-annahum kaththaboo bi-ayatinawakanoo AAanha ghafileena

فانتقمنا منهم فاغرقناهم في اليم بانهم كذبوا باياتنا وكانوا عنها غافلين

[YA]: So We exacted retribution from them: We drowned them in the sea, because they rejected Our Signs and failed to take warning from them.

[RK]:Consequently, we avenged their actions, and drowned them in the sea. That is because they rejected our signs, and were totally heedless thereof.

Yahlifoona biAllahi maqaloo walaqad qaloo kalimata alkufri wakafaroobaAAda islamihim wahammoo bima lam yanaloowama naqamoo illa an aghnahumu Allahuwarasooluhu min fadlihi fa-in yatooboo yaku khayran lahumwa-in yatawallaw yuAAaththibhumu Allahu AAathabanaleeman fee alddunya waal-akhiratiwama lahum fee al-ardi min waliyyin wala naseerin

يحلفون بالله ماقالوا ولقد قالوا كلمة الكفر وكفروا بعد اسلامهم وهموا بما لم ينالوا ومانقموا الا ان اغناهم الله ورسوله من فضله فان يتوبوا يك خيرا لهم وان يتولوا يعذبهم الله عذابا اليما في الدنيا والاخرة ومالهم في الارض من ولي ولانصير

[YA]: They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.

[RK]:They swear by GOD that they never said it, although they have uttered the word of disbelief; they have disbelieved after becoming submitters. In fact, they gave up what they never had. They have rebelled even though GOD and His messenger have showered them with His grace and provisions. If they repent, it would be best for them. But if they turn away, GOD will commit them to painful retribution in this life and in the Hereafter. They will find no one on earth to be their lord and master.

Fala tahsabanna Allahamukhlifa waAAdihi rusulahu inna Allaha AAazeezun thoointiqamin

فلا تحسبن الله مخلف وعده رسله ان الله عزيز ذو انتقام

[YA]: Never think that Allah would fail his messengers in His promise: for Allah is Exalted in power, - the Lord of Retribution.

[RK]:Do not think that GOD will ever break His promise to His messengers. GOD is Almighty, Avenger.

Faintaqamna minhum wa-innahumalabi-imamin mubeenin

فانتقمنا منهم وانهما لبامام مبين

[YA]: So We exacted retribution from them. They were both on an open highway, plain to see.

[RK]:Consequently, we avenged from them, and both communities are fully documented.

Walaqad arsalna min qablika rusulanila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinatifaintaqamna mina allatheena ajramoo wakanahaqqan AAalayna nasru almu/mineena

ولقد ارسلنا من قبلك رسلا الي قومهم فجاؤوهم بالبينات فانتقمنا من الذين اجرموا وكان حقا علينا نصر المؤمنين

[YA]: We did indeed send, before thee, messengers to their (respective) peoples, and they came to them with Clear Signs: then, to those who transgressed, We meted out Retribution: and it was due from Us to aid those who believed.

[RK]:We have sent messengers before you to their people, with profound signs. Subsequently, we punished those who transgressed. It is our duty that we grant victory to the believers.

Waman athlamu mimman thukkirabi-ayati rabbihi thumma aAArada AAanhainna mina almujrimeena muntaqimoona

ومن اظلم ممن ذكر بايات ربه ثم اعرض عنها انا من المجرمين منتقمون

[YA]: And who does more wrong than one to whom are recited the Signs of his Lord, and who then turns away therefrom? Verily from those who transgress We shall exact (due) Retribution.

[RK]:Who is more evil than one who is reminded of these revelations of his Lord, then insists upon disregarding them? We will certainly punish the guilty.

Waman yahdi Allahu fama lahumin mudillin alaysa Allahu biAAazeezin theeintiqamin

ومن يهد الله فماله من مضل اليس الله بعزيز ذي انتقام

[YA]: And such as Allah doth guide there can be none to lead astray. Is not Allah Exalted in Power, (Able to enforce His Will), Lord of Retribution?

[RK]:And whomever GOD guides, nothing can send him astray. Is GOD not Almighty, Avenger?

Faintaqamna minhum faonthurkayfa kana AAaqibatu almukaththibeena

فانتقمنا منهم فانظر كيف كان عاقبة المكذبين

[YA]: So We exacted retribution from them: now see what was the end of those who rejected (Truth)!

[RK]:Consequently, we requited them. Note the consequences for the rejectors.

Fa-imma nathhabanna bikafa-inna minhum muntaqimoona

فاما نذهبن بك فانا منهم منتقمون

[YA]: Even if We take thee away, We shall be sure to exact retribution from them,

[RK]:Whether we let you die before it or not, we will surely requite them.

Falamma asafoonaintaqamna minhum faaghraqnahum ajmaAAeena

فلما اسفونا انتقمنا منهم فاغرقناهم اجمعين

[YA]: When at length they provoked Us, We exacted retribution from them, and We drowned them all.

[RK]:When they persisted in opposing us, we punished them and drowned them all.

Yawma nabtishu albatshataalkubra inna muntaqimoona

يوم نبطش البطشة الكبري انا منتقمون

[YA]: One day We shall seize you with a mighty onslaught: We will indeed (then) exact Retribution!

[RK]:The day we strike the big stroke, we will avenge.

Wama naqamoo minhum illa anyu/minoo biAllahi alAAazeezi alhameedi

ومانقموا منهم الا ان يؤمنوا بالله العزيز الحميد

[YA]: And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!-

[RK]:They hated them for no other reason than believing in GOD, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.
