Qul huwa alqadiru AAala anyabAAatha AAalaykum AAathaban min fawqikum aw min tahtiarjulikum aw yalbisakum shiyaAAan wayutheeqa baAAdakumba/sa baAAdin onthur kayfa nusarrifual-ayati laAAallahum yafqahoonaقل هو القادر علي ان يبعث عليكم عذابا من فوقكم او من تحت ارجلكم او يلبسكم شيعا ويذيق بعضكم باس بعض انظر كيف نصرف الايات لعلهم يفقهون
[YA]: Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); that they may understand.

[RK]:Say, "He is certainly able to pour upon you retribution from above you, or from beneath your feet. Or He can divide you into factions and have you taste each others' tyranny. Note how we explain the revelations, that they may understand."

Inna allatheena farraqoo deenahumwakanoo shiyaAAan lasta minhum fee shay-in innamaamruhum ila Allahi thumma yunabbi-ohum bimakanoo yafAAaloonaان الذين فرقوا دينهم وكانوا شيعا لست منهم في شئ انما امرهم الي الله ثم ينبئهم بما كانوا يفعلون
[YA]: As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with Allah: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.

[RK]:Those who divide themselves into sects do not belong with you. Their judgment rests with GOD, then He will inform them of everything they had done.

[YA]: We did send messengers before thee amongst the religious sects of old:

[RK]:We have sent (messengers) before you to the communities in the past.

Thumma lananziAAanna min kulli sheeAAatinayyuhum ashaddu AAala alrrahmaniAAitiyyanثم لننزعن من كل شيعة ايهم اشد علي الرحمن عتيا
[YA]: Then shall We certainly drag out from every sect all those who were worst in obstinate rebellion against (Allah) Most Gracious.

[RK]:Then we will pick out from each group the most ardent opponent of the Most Gracious.

Inna allatheena yuhibboona antasheeAAa alfahishatu fee allatheena amanoolahum AAathabun aleemun fee alddunya waal-akhiratiwaAllahu yaAAlamu waantum la taAAlamoonaان الذين يحبون ان تشيع الفاحشة في الذين امنوا لهم عذاب اليم في الدنيا والاخرة والله يعلم وانتم لاتعلمون
[YA]: Those who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not.

[RK]:Those who love to see immorality spread among the believers have incurred a painful retribution in this life and in the Hereafter. GOD knows, while you do not know.

Inna firAAawna AAala fee al-ardiwajaAAala ahlaha shiyaAAan yastadAAifu ta-ifatanminhum yuthabbihu abnaahum wayastahyeenisaahum innahu kana mina almufsideenaان فرعون علا في الارض وجعل اهلها شيعا يستضعف طائفة منهم يذبح ابناءهم ويستحيي نساءهم انه كان من المفسدين
[YA]: Truly Pharaoh elated himself in the land and broke up its people into sections, depressing a small group among them: their sons he slew, but he kept alive their females: for he was indeed a maker of mischief.

[RK]:Pharaoh turned into a tyrant on earth, and discriminated against some people. He persecuted a helpless group of them, slaughtering their sons, while sparing their daughters. He was indeed wicked.

Wadakhala almadeenata AAala heenighaflatin min ahliha fawajada feeha rajulayniyaqtatilani hatha min sheeAAatihi wahathamin AAaduwwihi faistaghathahu allathee minsheeAAatihi AAala allathee min AAaduwwihifawakazahu moosa faqada AAalayhi qala hathamin AAamali alshshaytani innahu AAaduwwun mudillunmubeenunودخل المدينة علي حين غفلة من اهلها فوجد فيها رجلين يقتتلان هذا من شيعته وهذا من عدوه فاستغاثه الذي من شيعته علي الذي من عدوه فوكزه موسي فقضي عليه قال هذا من عمل الشيطان انه عدو مضل مبين
[YA]: And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!"

[RK]:Once he entered the city unexpectedly, without being recognized by the people. He found two men fighting; one was (a Hebrew) from his people, and the other was (an Egyptian) from his enemies. The one from his people called on him for help against his enemy. Moses punched him, killing him. He said, "This is the work of the devil; he is a real enemy, and a profound misleader."

Mina allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanooshiyaAAan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoonaمن الذين فرقوا دينهم وكانوا شيعا كل حزب بما لديهم فرحون
[YA]: Those who split up their Religion, and become (mere) Sects,- each party rejoicing in that which is with itself!

[RK]:(Do not fall in idol worship,) like those who divide their religion into sects; each party rejoicing with what they have.

Waheela baynahum wabayna mayashtahoona kama fuAAila bi-ashyaAAihim min qabluinnahum kanoo fee shakkin mureebinوحيل بينهم وبين مايشتهون كما فعل باشياعهم من قبل انهم كانوا في شك مريب
[YA]: And between them and their desires, is placed a barrier, as was done in the past with their partisans: for they were indeed in suspicious (disquieting) doubt.

[RK]:Consequently, they were deprived of everything they longed for. This is the same fate as their counterparts in the previous generations. They harbored too many doubts.

[YA]: Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham.

[RK]:Among his followers was Abraham.

Walaqad ahlakna ashyaAAakumfahal min muddakirinولقد اهلكنا اشياعكم فهل من مدكر
[YA]: And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition?

[RK]:We annihilated your counterparts. Does any of you wish to learn?
