[YA]: And thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank,

[RK]:And your Lord comes, together with the angels in row after row.

[YA]: "Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him!

[RK]:Return to your Lord, pleased and pleasing.

Fakaththaboohu faAAaqaroohafadamdama AAalayhim rabbuhum bithanbihim fasawwahaفكذبوه فعقروها فدمدم عليهم ربهم بذنبهم فسواها
[YA]: Then they rejected him (as a false prophet), and they hamstrung her. So their Lord, on account of their crime, obliterated their traces and made them equal (in destruction, high and low)!

[RK]:They disbelieved him and slaughtered her. Their Lord then requited them for their sin and annihilated them.

[YA]: But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High;

[RK]:Seeking only his Lord, the Most High.

[YA]: Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.

[RK]:Your Lord never abandoned you, nor did He forget.

Walasawfa yuAAteeka rabbuka fatardaولسوف يعطيك ربك فترضي
[YA]: And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.

[RK]:And your Lord will give you enough; you will be pleased.

Waamma biniAAmati rabbika fahaddithواما بنعمة ربك فحدث
[YA]: But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!

[RK]:You shall proclaim the blessing your Lord has bestowed upon you.

[YA]: And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention.

[RK]:Seeking only your Lord.

[YA]: Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-

[RK]:Read, in the name of your Lord, who created.

[YA]: Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-

[RK]:Read, and your Lord, Most Exalted.

[YA]: Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).

[RK]:To your Lord is the ultimate destiny.

Tanazzalu almala-ikatu waalrroohufeeha bi-ithni rabbihim min kulli amrinتنزل الملائكة والروح فيها باذن ربهم من كل امر
[YA]: Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:

[RK]:The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by their Lord's leave, to carry out every command.

Jazaohum AAinda rabbihim jannatuAAadnin tajree min tahtiha al-anharu khalideenafeeha abadan radiya Allahu AAanhum waradooAAanhu thalika liman khashiya rabbahuجزاؤهم عند ربهم جنات عدن تجري من تحتها الانهار خالدين فيها ابدا رضي الله عنهم ورضوا عنه ذلك لمن خشي ربه
[YA]: Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher.

[RK]:Their reward at their Lord is the gardens of Eden with flowing streams, wherein they abide forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. Such is the reward for those who reverence their Lord.

[YA]: Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;

[RK]:The human being is unappreciative of his Lord.

Inna rabbahum bihim yawma-ithinlakhabeerunان ربهم بهم يومئذ لخبير
[YA]: That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?

[RK]:They will find out, on that day, that their Lord has been fully Cognizant of them.

[YA]: Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant?

[RK]:Have you noted what your Lord did to the people of the elephant?

[YA]: Let them adore the Lord of this House,

[RK]:They shall worship the Lord of this shrine.

[YA]: Therefore to thy Lord turn in Prayer and Sacrifice.

[RK]:Therefore, you shall pray to your Lord (Salat), and give to charity.

Fasabbih bihamdi rabbika waistaghfirhuinnahu kana tawwabanفسبح بحمد ربك واستغفره انه كان توابا
[YA]: Celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and pray for His Forgiveness: For He is Oft-Returning (in Grace and Mercy).

[RK]:You shall glorify and praise your Lord, and implore Him for forgiveness. He is the Redeemer.

[YA]: Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn

[RK]:Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak.

قل اعوذ برب الناس
[YA]: Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind,

[RK]:Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the people.
