Ola-ika allatheena kafaroobi-ayati rabbihim waliqa-ihi fahabitataAAmaluhum fala nuqeemu lahum yawma alqiyamatiwaznanاولئك الذين كفروا بايات ربهم ولقائه فحبطت اعمالهم فلانقيم لهم يوم القيامة وزنا
[YA]: They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight.

[RK]:Such are the ones who disbelieved in the revelations of their Lord and in meeting Him. Therefore, their works are in vain; on the Day of Resurrection, they have no weight.

[YA]: Say: "If the ocean were ink (wherewith to write out) the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid."

[RK]:Say, "If the ocean were ink for the words of my Lord, the ocean would run out, before the words of my Lord run out, even if we double the ink supply."

[RK]:He said, "My Lord, the bones have turned brittle in my body, and my hair is aflame with gray. As I implore You, my Lord, I never despair.

[YA]: "(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!"

[RK]:"Let him be my heir and the heir of Jacob's clan, and make him, my Lord, acceptable."

[YA]: He said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son, when my wife is barren and I have grown quite decrepit from old age?"

[RK]:He said, "My Lord, will I have a son despite my wife's sterility, and despite my old age?"

Qala kathalika qalarabbuka huwa AAalayya hayyinun waqad khalaqtuka min qablu walamtaku shay-anقال كذلك قال ربك هو علي هين وقد خلقتك من قبل ولم تك شيئا
[YA]: He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'"

[RK]:He said, "Thus said your Lord: `It is easy for Me to do. I created you before that, and you were nothing.' "

Qala rabbi ijAAal lee ayatan qalaayatuka alla tukallima alnnasa thalathalayalin sawiyyanقال رب اجعل لي اية قال ايتك الا تكلم الناس ثلاث ليال سويا
[YA]: (Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb."

[RK]:He said, "My Lord, give me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three consecutive nights."

[YA]: He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.

[RK]:He said, "I am the messenger of your Lord, to grant you a pure son."

Qala kathaliki qalarabbuki huwa AAalayya hayyinun walinajAAalahu ayatan lilnnasiwarahmatan minna wakana amran maqdiyyanقال كذلك قال ربك هو علي هين ولنجعله اية للناس ورحمة منا وكان امرا مقضيا
[YA]: He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us':It is a matter (so) decreed."

[RK]:He said, "Thus said your Lord, `It is easy for Me. We will render him a sign for the people, and mercy from us. This is a predestined matter.' "

Fanadaha min tahtihaalla tahzanee qad jaAAala rabbuki tahtakisariyyanفناداها من تحتها الا تحزني قد جعل ربك تحتك سريا
[YA]: But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;

[RK]:(The infant) called her from beneath her, saying, "Do not grieve. Your Lord has provided you with a stream.

[YA]: Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.

[RK]:He also proclaimed, "GOD is my Lord and your Lord; you shall worship Him alone. This is the right path."

[YA]: Abraham said: "Peace be on thee: I will pray to my Lord for thy forgiveness: for He is to me Most Gracious.

[RK]:He said, "Peace be upon you. I will implore my Lord to forgive you; He has been Most Kind to me.

[YA]: "And I will turn away from you (all) and from those whom ye invoke besides Allah: I will call on my Lord: perhaps, by my prayer to my Lord, I shall be not unblest."

[RK]:"I will abandon you and the gods you worship beside GOD. I will worship only my Lord. By imploring my Lord alone, I cannot go wrong."

[YA]: He used to enjoin on his people Prayer and Charity, and he was most acceptable in the sight of his Lord.

[RK]:He used to enjoin his family to observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and the obligatory charity (Zakat); he was acceptable to his Lord.

Wama natanazzalu illa bi-amrirabbika lahu ma bayna aydeena wama khalfanawama bayna thalika wama kana rabbukanasiyyanومانتنزل الا بامر ربك له مابين ايدينا وماخلفنا ومابين ذلك وماكان ربك نسيا
[YA]: (The angels say:) "We descend not but by command of thy Lord: to Him belongeth what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between: and thy Lord never doth forget,-

[RK]:We do not come down except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs our past, our future, and everything between them. Your Lord is never forgetful.

[YA]: "Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and of all that is between them; so worship Him, and be constant and patient in His worship: knowest thou of any who is worthy of the same Name as He?"

[RK]:The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them; you shall worship Him and steadfastly persevere in worshipping Him. Do you know of anyone who equals Him?

Fawarabbika lanahshurannahum waalshshayateenathumma lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jithiyyanفوربك لنحشرنهم والشياطين ثم لنحضرنهم حول جهنم جثيا
[YA]: So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell;

[RK]:By your Lord, we will certainly summon them, together with the devils, and will gather them around Hell, humiliated.

Wa-in minkum illa wariduhakana AAala rabbika hatman maqdiyyanوان منكم الا واردها كان علي ربك حتما مقضيا
[YA]: Not one of you but will pass over it: this is, with thy Lord, a Decree which must be accomplished.

[RK]:Every single one of you must see it; this is an irrevocable decision of your Lord.

Wayazeedu Allahu allatheenaihtadaw hudan waalbaqiyatu alssalihatukhayrun AAinda rabbika thawaban wakhayrun maraddanويزيد الله الذين اهتدوا هدي والباقيات الصالحات خير عند ربك ثوابا وخير مردا
[YA]: "And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return."

[RK]:GOD augments the guidance of those who choose to be guided. For the good deeds are eternally rewarded by your Lord, and bring far better returns.

[YA]: "Verily I am thy Lord! therefore (in My presence) put off thy shoes: thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa.

[RK]:"I am your Lord; remove your sandals. You are in the sacred valley, Tuwaa.

[YA]: They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds."

[RK]:They said, "Our Lord, we fear lest he may attack us, or transgress."

[YA]: "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance!

[RK]:"Go to him and say, `We are two messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go. You must refrain from persecuting them. We bring a sign from your Lord, and peace is the lot of those who heed the guidance.

[RK]:"Go to him and say, `We are two messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go. You must refrain from persecuting them. We bring a sign from your Lord, and peace is the lot of those who heed the guidance.

[YA]: (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?"

[YA]: He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each (created) thing its form and nature, and further, gave (it) guidance."

[RK]:He said, "Our Lord is the One who granted everything its existence, and its guidance."

[YA]: He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,-

[RK]:He said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord never errs, nor does He forget."

[YA]: So the magicians were thrown down to prostration: they said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses".

[RK]:The magicians fell prostrate, saying, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."

Inna amanna birabbinaliyaghfira lana khatayana wamaakrahtana AAalayhi mina alssihri waAllahukhayrun waabqaانا امنا بربنا ليغفر لنا خطايانا ومااكرهتنا عليه من السحر والله خير وابقي
[YA]: "For us, we have believed in our Lord: may He forgive us our faults, and the magic to which thou didst compel us: for Allah is Best and Most Abiding."

[RK]:"We have believed in our Lord, that He may forgive us our sins, and the magic that you forced us to perform. GOD is far better and Everlasting."

Innahu man ya/ti rabbahu mujriman fa-innalahu jahannama la yamootu feeha wala yahyaانه من يات ربه مجرما فان له جهنم لايموت فيها ولايحيي
[YA]: Verily he who comes to his Lord as a sinner (at Judgment),- for him is Hell: therein shall he neither die nor live.

[RK]:Anyone who comes to his Lord guilty will incur Hell, wherein he never dies, nor stays alive.

[YA]: He replied: "Behold, they are close on my footsteps: I hastened to thee, O my Lord, to please thee."

[RK]:He said, "They are close behind me. I have rushed to You my Lord, that You may be pleased."

FarajaAAa moosa ila qawmihighadbana asifan qala ya qawmi alamyaAAidkum rabbukum waAAdan hasanan afatalaAAalaykumu alAAahdu am aradtum an yahilla AAalaykum ghadabunmin rabbikum faakhlaftum mawAAideeفرجع موسي الي قومه غضبان اسفا قال ياقوم الم يعدكم ربكم وعدا حسنا افطال عليكم العهد ام اردتم ان يحل عليكم غضب من ربكم فاخلفتم موعدي
[YA]: So Moses returned to his people in a state of indignation and sorrow. He said: "O my people! did not your Lord make a handsome promise to you? Did then the promise seem to you long (in coming)? Or did ye desire that Wrath should descend from your Lord on you, and so ye broke your promise to me?"

[RK]:Moses returned to his people, angry and disappointed, saying, "O my people, did your Lord not promise you a good promise? Could you not wait? Did you want to incur wrath from your Lord? Is this why you broke your agreement with me?"

Walaqad qala lahum haroonu minqablu ya qawmi innama futintum bihi wa-innarabbakumu alrrahmanu faittabiAAooneewaateeAAoo amreeولقد قال لهم هارون من قبل ياقوم انما فتنتم به وان ربكم الرحمن فاتبعوني واطيعوا امري
[YA]: Aaron had already, before this said to them: "O my people! ye are being tested in this: for verily your Lord is (Allah) Most Gracious; so follow me and obey my command."

[RK]:And Aaron had told them, "O my people, this is a test for you. Your only Lord is the Most Gracious, so follow me, and obey my commands."

[YA]: They ask thee concerning the Mountains: say, "My Lord will uproot them and scatter them as dust;

[RK]:They ask you about the mountains. Say, "My Lord will wipe them out.

FataAAala Allahualmaliku alhaqqu wala taAAjal bialqur-animin qabli an yuqda ilayka wahyuhu waqul rabbizidnee AAilmanفتعالي الله الملك الحق ولاتعجل بالقران من قبل ان يقضي اليك وحيه وقل رب زدني علما
[YA]: High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth! Be not in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say, "O my Lord! advance me in knowledge."

[RK]:Most Exalted is GOD, the only true King. Do not rush into uttering the Quran before it is revealed to you, and say, "My Lord, increase my knowledge."

[YA]: In the result, they both ate of the tree, and so their nakedness appeared to them: they began to sew together, for their covering, leaves from the Garden: thus did Adam disobey his Lord, and allow himself to be seduced.

[RK]:They ate from it, whereupon their bodies became visible to them, and they tried to cover themselves with the leaves of Paradise. Adam thus disobeyed his Lord, and fell.

Thumma ijtabahu rabbuhu fatabaAAalayhi wahadaثم اجتباه ربه فتاب عليه وهدي
[YA]: But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him Guidance.

[RK]:Subsequently, his Lord chose him, redeemed him, and guided him.

Qala rabbi lima hashartaneeaAAma waqad kuntu baseeranقال رب لم حشرتني اعمي وقد كنت بصيرا
[YA]: He will say: "O my Lord! why hast Thou raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?"

[RK]:He will say, "My Lord, why did you summon me blind, when I used to be a seer?"

Wakathalika najzee man asrafa walamyu/min bi-ayati rabbihi walaAAathabu al-akhiratiashaddu waabqaوكذلك نجزي من اسرف ولم يؤمن بايات ربه ولعذاب الاخرة اشد وابقي
[YA]: And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Signs of his Lord: and the Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring.

[RK]:We thus requite those who transgress and refuse to believe in the revelations of their Lord. The retribution in the Hereafter is far worse and everlasting.
