Waothkuroo Allaha feeayyamin maAAdoodatin faman taAAajjala fee yawmaynifala ithma AAalayhi waman taakhkhara fala ithmaAAalayhi limani ittaqa waittaqoo Allaha waiAAlamooannakum ilayhi tuhsharoona

واذكروا الله في ايام معدودات فمن تعجل في يومين فلا اثم عليه ومن تاخر فلا اثم عليه لمن اتقي واتقوا الله واعلموا انكم اليه تحشرون

[YA]: Celebrate the praises of Allah during the Appointed Days. But if any one hastens to leave in two days, there is no blame on him, and if any one stays on, there is no blame on him, if his aim is to do right. Then fear Allah, and know that ye will surely be gathered unto Him.

[RK]:You shall commemorate GOD for a number of days (in Mena); whoever hastens to do this in two days commits no sin, and whoever stays longer commits no sin, so long as righteousness is maintained. You shall observe GOD, and know that before Him you will be gathered.

قل للذين كفروا ستغلبون وتحشرون الي جهنم وبئس المهاد

[YA]: Say to those who reject Faith: "Soon will ye be vanquished and gathered together to Hell,-an evil bed indeed (to lie on)!

[RK]:Say to those who disbelieve, "You will be defeated, then gathered in Hell; what a miserable abode!"

ولئن متم او قتلتم لالي الله تحشرون

[YA]: And if ye die, or are slain, Lo! it is unto Allah that ye are brought together.

[RK]:Whether you die or get killed, you will be summoned before GOD.

Lan yastankifa almaseehu an yakoonaAAabdan lillahi wala almala-ikatualmuqarraboona waman yastankif AAan AAibadatihiwayastakbir fasayahshuruhum ilayhi jameeAAan

لن يستنكف المسيح ان يكون عبدا لله ولا الملائكة المقربون ومن يستنكف عن عبادته ويستكبر فسيحشرهم اليه جميعا

[YA]: Christ disdaineth nor to serve and worship Allah, nor do the angels, those nearest (to Allah): those who disdain His worship and are arrogant,-He will gather them all together unto Himself to (answer).

[RK]:The Messiah would never disdain from being a servant of GOD, nor would the closest angels. Those who disdain from worshipping Him, and are too arrogant to submit, He will summon them all before Him.

Ohilla lakum saydu albahriwataAAamuhu mataAAan lakum walilssayyaratiwahurrima AAalaykum saydu albarri ma dumtum hurumanwaittaqoo Allaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona

احل لكم صيد البحر وطعامه متاعا لكم وللسيارة وحرم عليكم صيد البر مادمتم حرما واتقوا الله الذي اليه تحشرون

[YA]: Lawful to you is the pursuit of water-game and its use for food,- for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel; but forbidden is the pursuit of land-game;- as long as ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. And fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be gathered back.

[RK]:All fish of the sea are made lawful for you to eat. During pilgrimage, this may provide for you during your journey. You shall not hunt throughout the pilgrimage. You shall reverence GOD, before whom you will be summoned.

Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thummanaqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo ayna shurakaokumu allatheenakuntum tazAAumoona

ويوم نحشرهم جميعا ثم نقول للذين اشركوا اين شركاؤكم الذين كنتم تزعمون

[YA]: One day shall We gather them all together: We shall say to those who ascribed partners (to Us): "Where are the partners whom ye (invented and) talked about?"

[RK]:On the day when we summon them all, we will ask the idol worshipers, "Where are the idols you set up?"

Wama min dabbatin fee al-ardiwala ta-irin yateeru bijanahayhi illaomamun amthalukum ma farratna feealkitabi min shay-in thumma ila rabbihim yuhsharoona

ومامن دابة في الارض ولاطائر يطير بجناحيه الا امم امثالكم مافرطنا في الكتاب من شئ ثم الي ربهم يحشرون

[YA]: There is not an animal (that lives) on the earth, nor a being that flies on its wings, but (forms part of) communities like you. Nothing have we omitted from the Book, and they (all) shall be gathered to their Lord in the end.

[RK]:All the creatures on earth, and all the birds that fly with wings, are communities like you. We did not leave anything out of this book. To their Lord, all these creatures will be summoned.

Waanthir bihi allatheena yakhafoonaan yuhsharoo ila rabbihim laysa lahum min doonihiwaliyyun wala shafeeAAun laAAallahum yattaqoona

وانذر به الذين يخافون ان يحشروا الي ربهم ليس لهم من دونه ولي ولاشفيع لعلهم يتقون

[YA]: Give this warning to those in whose (hearts) is the fear that they will be brought (to judgment) before their Lord: except for Him they will have no protector nor intercessor: that they may guard (against evil).

[RK]:And preach with this (Quran) to those who reverence the summoning before their Lord - they have none beside Him as a Lord and Master, nor an intercessor - that they may attain salvation.

Waan aqeemoo alssalatawaittaqoohu wahuwa allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona

وان اقيموا الصلاة واتقوه وهو الذي اليه تحشرون

[YA]: "To establish regular prayers and to fear Allah: for it is to Him that we shall be gathered together."

[RK]:"And to observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and to reverence Him - He is the One before whom you will be summoned (for the reckoning)."

Walaw annana nazzalnailayhimu almala-ikata wakallamahumu almawta wahasharnaAAalayhim kulla shay-in qubulan ma kanoo liyu/minooilla an yashaa Allahu walakinnaaktharahum yajhaloona

ولو اننا نزلنا اليهم الملائكة وكلمهم الموتي وحشرنا عليهم كل شئ قبلا ما كانوا ليؤمنوا الا ان يشاء الله ولكن اكثرهم يجهلون

[YA]: Even if We did send unto them angels, and the dead did speak unto them, and We gathered together all things before their very eyes, they are not the ones to believe, unless it is in Allah's plan. But most of them ignore (the truth).

[RK]:Even if we sent down the angels to them; even if the dead spoke to them; even if we summoned every miracle before them; they cannot believe unless GOD wills it. Indeed, most of them are ignorant.

Wayawma yahshuruhum jameeAAan yamaAAshara aljinni qadi istakthartum mina al-insi waqalaawliyaohum mina al-insi rabbana istamtaAAa baAAdunabibaAAdin wabalaghna ajalana allatheeajjalta lana qala alnnaru mathwakumkhalideena feeha illa ma shaaAllahu inna rabbaka hakeemun AAaleemun

ويوم يحشرهم جميعا يامعشر الجن قد استكثرتم من الانس وقال اولياؤهم من الانس ربنا استمتع بعضنا ببعبض وبلغنا اجلنا الذي اجلت لنا قال النار مثواكم خالدين فيها الا ماشاء الله ان ربك حكيم عليم

[YA]: One day will He gather them all together, (and say): "O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men." Their friends amongst men will say: "Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term - which thou didst appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place: you will dwell therein for ever, except as Allah willeth." for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.

[RK]:The day will come when He summons all of them (and says): "O you jinns, you have claimed multitudes of humans." Their human companions will say, "Our Lord, we enjoyed each others' company until we wasted the life span You had set for us." He will say, "Hell is your destiny." They abide therein forever, in accordance with GOD's will. Your Lord is Wise, Omniscient.

Qaloo arjih waakhahu waarsilfee almada-ini hashireena

قالوا ارجه واخاه وارسل في المدائن حاشرين

[YA]: They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while); and send to the cities men to collect-

[RK]:They said, "Respite him and his brother, and send summoners to every city.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooistajeeboo lillahi walilrrasooli itha daAAakumlima yuhyeekum waiAAlamoo anna Allahayahoolu bayna almar-i waqalbihi waannahu ilayhi tuhsharoona

ياايها الذين امنوا استجيبوا لله وللرسول اذا دعاكم لما يحييكم واعلموا ان الله يحول بين المرء وقلبه وانه اليه تحشرون

[YA]: O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered.

[RK]:O you who believe, you shall respond to GOD and to the messenger when he invites you to what gives you life. You should know that GOD is closer to you than your heart, and that before Him you will be summoned.

Inna allatheena kafaroo yunfiqoonaamwalahum liyasuddoo AAan sabeeli Allahifasayunfiqoonaha thumma takoonu AAalayhim hasratanthumma yughlaboona waallatheena kafaroo ilajahannama yuhsharoona

ان الذين كفروا ينفقون اموالهم ليصدوا عن سبيل الله فسينفقونها ثم تكون عليهم حسرة ثم يغلبون والذين كفروا الي جهنم يحشرون

[YA]: The Unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder (man) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend; but in the end they will have (only) regrets and sighs; at length they will be overcome: and the Unbelievers will be gathered together to Hell;-

[RK]:Those who disbelieve spend their money to repel others from the way of GOD. They will spend it, then it will turn into sorrow and remorse for them. Ultimately, they will be defeated, and all disbelievers will be summoned to Hell.

Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thummanaqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo makanakum antumwashurakaokum fazayyalna baynahum waqalashurakaohum ma kuntum iyyanataAAbudoona

ويوم نحشرهم جميعا ثم نقول للذين اشركوا مكانكم انتم وشركاؤكم فزيلنا بينهم وقال شركاؤهم ماكنتم ايانا تعبدون

[YA]: One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us): "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say: "It was not us that ye worshipped!

[RK]:On the day when we summon them all, we will say to those who worshipped idols, "We have summoned you, together with your idols." We will have them confront each other, and their idols will say to them, "We had no idea that you idolized us.

Wayawma yahshuruhum kaan lamyalbathoo illa saAAatan mina alnnahariyataAAarafoona baynahum qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi wama kanoo muhtadeena

ويوم يحشرهم كان لم يلبثوا الا ساعة من النهار يتعارفون بينهم قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله وماكانوا مهتدين

[YA]: One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance.

[RK]:On the day when He summons all of them, they will feel as if they lasted in this world one hour of the day, during which they met. Losers indeed are those who disbelieved in meeting GOD; and chose to be misguided.

Wa-inna rabbaka huwa yahshuruhuminnahu hakeemun AAaleemun

وان ربك هو يحشرهم انه حكيم عليم

[YA]: Assuredly it is thy Lord Who will gather them together: for He is perfect in Wisdom and Knowledge.

[RK]:Your Lord will surely summon them. He is Most Wise, Omniscient.

Waman yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadiwaman yudlil falan tajida lahum awliyaa min doonihiwanahshuruhum yawma alqiyamati AAalawujoohihim AAumyan wabukman wasumman ma/wahumjahannamu kullama khabat zidnahum saAAeeran

ومن يهد الله فهو المهتد ومن يضلل فلن تجد لهم اولياء من دونه ونحشرهم يوم القيامة علي وجوههم عميا وبكما وصما ماواهم جهنم كلما خبت زدناهم سعيرا

[YA]: It is he whom Allah guides, that is on true Guidance; but he whom He leaves astray - for such wilt thou find no protector besides Him. On the Day of Judgment We shall gather, them together, prone on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf: their abode will be Hell: every time it shows abatement, We shall increase from them the fierceness of the Fire.

[RK]:Whomever GOD guides is the truly guided one. And whomever He sends astray, you will never find for them any lords and masters beside Him. We will summon them on the Day of Resurrection forcibly; blind, dumb, and deaf. Their destination is Hell; whenever it cools down, we will increase their fire.

Wayawma nusayyiru aljibala wataraal-arda barizatan wahasharnahum falamnughadir minhum ahadan

ويوم نسير الجبال وتري الارض بارزة وحشرناهم فلم نغادر منهم احدا

[YA]: One Day We shall remove the mountains, and thou wilt see the earth as a level stretch, and We shall gather them, all together, nor shall We leave out any one of them.

[RK]:The day will come when we wipe out the mountains, and you will see the earth barren. We will summon them all, not leaving out a single one of them.

Fawarabbika lanahshurannahum waalshshayateenathumma lanuhdirannahum hawla jahannama jithiyyan

فوربك لنحشرنهم والشياطين ثم لنحضرنهم حول جهنم جثيا

[YA]: So, by thy Lord, without doubt, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Evil Ones (with them); then shall We bring them forth on their knees round about Hell;

[RK]:By your Lord, we will certainly summon them, together with the devils, and will gather them around Hell, humiliated.

يوم نحشر المتقين الي الرحمن وفدا

[YA]: The day We shall gather the righteous to (Allah) Most Gracious, like a band presented before a king for honours,

[RK]:The day will come when we summon the righteous before the Most Gracious in a group.

قال موعدكم يوم الزينة وان يحشر الناس ضحي

[YA]: Moses said: "Your tryst is the Day of the Festival, and let the people be assembled when the sun is well up."

[RK]:He said, "Your appointed time shall be the day of festivities. Let us all meet in the forenoon."

Yawma yunfakhu fee alssooriwanahshuru almujrimeena yawma-ithin zurqan

يوم ينفخ في الصور ونحشر المجرمين يومئذ زرقا

[YA]: The Day when the Trumpet will be sounded: that Day, We shall gather the sinful, blear-eyed (with terror).

[RK]:That is the day when the horn is blown, and we summon the guilty on that day blue.

Waman aAArada AAan thikreefa-inna lahu maAAeeshatan dankan wanahshuruhuyawma alqiyamati aAAman

ومن اعرض عن ذكري فان له معيشة ضنكا ونحشره يوم القيامة اعمي

[YA]: "But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgment."

[RK]:"As for the one who disregards My message, he will have a miserable life, and we resurrect him, on the Day of Resurrection, blind."

Qala rabbi lima hashartaneeaAAma waqad kuntu baseeran

قال رب لم حشرتني اعمي وقد كنت بصيرا

[YA]: He will say: "O my Lord! why hast Thou raised me up blind, while I had sight (before)?"

[RK]:He will say, "My Lord, why did you summon me blind, when I used to be a seer?"

Wahuwa allathee tharaakum feeal-ardi wa-ilayhi tuhsharoona

وهو الذي ذراكم في الارض واليه تحشرون

[YA]: And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back.

[RK]:He is the One who established you on earth, and before Him you will be summoned.

Wayawma yahshuruhum wamayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi fayaqoolu aantum adlaltumAAibadee haola-i am hum dalloo alssabeela

ويوم يحشرهم ومايعبدون من دون الله فيقول ءانتم اضللتم عبادي هؤلاء ام هم ضلوا السبيل

[YA]: The day He will gather them together as well as those whom they worship besides Allah, He will ask: "Was it ye who let these My servants astray, or did they stray from the Path themselves?"

[RK]:On the day when He summons them, together with the idols they had set up beside GOD, He will say, "Have you misled these servants of Mine, or did they go astray on their own?"

Allatheena yuhsharoona AAalawujoohihim ila jahannama ola-ika sharrun makananwaadallu sabeelan

الذين يحشرون علي وجوههم الي جهنم اولئك شر مكانا واضل سبيلا

[YA]: Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray.

[RK]:Those who are forcibly summoned to Hell are in the worst position; they are the farthest from the right path.

قالوا ارجه واخاه وابعث في المدائن حاشرين

[YA]: They said: "Keep him and his brother in suspense (for a while), and dispatch to the Cities heralds to collect-

[RK]:They said, "Respite him and his brother, and send summoners to every town.

فارسل فرعون في المدائن حاشرين

[YA]: Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities,

[RK]:Pharaoh sent to the cities callers.

Wahushira lisulaymanajunooduhu mina aljinni waal-insi waalttayrifahum yoozaAAoona

وحشر لسليمان جنوده من الجن والانس والطير فهم يوزعون

[YA]: And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks.

[RK]:Mobilized in the service of Solomon were his obedient soldiers of jinns and humans, as well as the birds; all at his disposal.

Wayawma nahshuru min kulli ommatinfawjan mimman yukaththibu bi-ayatinafahum yoozaAAoona

ويوم نحشر من كل امة فوجا ممن يكذب باياتنا فهم يوزعون

[YA]: One day We shall gather together from every people a troop of those who reject our Signs, and they shall be kept in ranks,-

[RK]:The day will come when we summon from every community some of those who did not believe in our proofs, forcibly.

ويوم يحشرهم جميعا ثم يقول للملائكة اهؤلاء اياكم كانوا يعبدون

[YA]: One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship?"

[RK]:On the day when He summons them all, He will say to the angels, "Did these people worship you?"

Ohshuroo allatheena thalamoowaazwajahum wama kanoo yaAAbudoona

احشروا الذين ظلموا وازواجهم وماكانوا يعبدون

[YA]: "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped-

[RK]:Summon the transgressors, and their spouses, and the idols they worshipped

Waalttayra mahshooratankullun lahu awwabun

والطير محشورة كل له اواب

[YA]: And the birds gathered (in assemblies): all with him did turn (to Allah).

[RK]:Also the birds were committed to serve him; all were obedient to him.

Wayawma yuhsharu aAAdao Allahiila alnnari fahum yoozaAAoona

ويوم يحشر اعداء الله الي النار فهم يوزعون

[YA]: On the Day that the enemies of Allah will be gathered together to the Fire, they will be marched in ranks.

[RK]:The day will come when the enemies of GOD will be summoned to the hellfire, forcibly.

Wa-itha hushira alnnasukanoo lahum aAAdaan wakanoo biAAibadatihimkafireena

واذا حشر الناس كانوا لهم اعداء وكانوا بعبادتهم كافرين

[YA]: And when mankind are gathered together (at the Resurrection), they will be hostile to them and reject their worship (altogether)!

[RK]:And when the people are summoned (on the Day of Judgment), their idols will become their enemies, and will denounce their idolatry.

Yawma tashaqqaqu al-ardu AAanhum siraAAanthalika hashrun AAalayna yaseerun

يوم تشقق الارض عنهم سراعا ذلك حشر علينا يسير

[YA]: The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us.

[RK]:The day will come when the earth cracks in a hurry, giving rise to them. Such summoning is easy for us to do.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tanajaytum fala tatanajaw bial-ithmiwaalAAudwani wamaAAsiyati alrrasooliwatanajaw bialbirri waalttaqwa waittaqooAllaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona

ياايها الذين امنوا اذا تناجيتم فلا تتناجوا بالاثم والعدوان ومعصية الرسول وتناجوا بالبر والتقوي واتقوا الله الذي اليه تحشرون

[YA]: O ye who believe! When ye hold secret counsel, do it not for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Prophet; but do it for righteousness and self-restraint; and fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be brought back.

[RK]:O you who believe, if you have to confer secretly, you shall not confer to commit sin, transgression, and to disobey the messenger. You shall confer to work righteousness and piety. You shall reverence GOD, before whom you will be summoned.

Huwa allathee akhraja allatheenakafaroo min ahli alkitabi min diyarihim li-awwalialhashri ma thanantum an yakhrujoo wathannooannahum maniAAatuhum husoonuhum mina Allahifaatahumu Allahu min haythu lam yahtasiboowaqathafa fee quloobihimu alrruAAba yukhriboonabuyootahum bi-aydeehim waaydee almu/mineena faiAAtabiroo yaolee al-absari

هو الذي اخرج الذين كفروا من اهل الكتاب من ديارهم لاول الحشر ماظننتم ان يخرجوا وظنوا انهم مانعتهم حصونهم من الله فاتاهم الله من حيث لم يحتسبوا وقذف في قلوبهم الرعب يخربون بيوتهم بايديهم وايدي المؤمنين فاعتبروا يااولي الابصار

[YA]: It is He Who got out the Unbelievers among the People of the Book from their homes at the first gathering (of the forces). Little did ye think that they would get out: And they thought that their fortresses would defend them from Allah! But the (Wrath of) Allah came to them from quarters from which they little expected (it), and cast terror into their hearts, so that they destroyed their dwellings by their own hands and the hands of the Believers, take warning, then, O ye with eyes (to see)!

[RK]:He is the One who evicted those who disbelieved among the people of the scripture from their homes in a mass exodus. You never thought that they would leave, and they thought that their preparations would protect them from GOD. But then GOD came to them whence they never expected, and threw terror into their hearts. Thus, they abandoned their homes on their own volition, in addition to pressure from the believers. You should learn from this, O you who possess vision.

Qul huwa allathee tharaakumfee al-ardi wa-ilayhi tuhsharoona

قل هو الذي ذراكم في الارض واليه تحشرون

[YA]: Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together."

[RK]:Say, "He is the One who placed you on earth, and before Him you will be summoned."

[YA]: Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation,
