Allatheena yanqudoona AAahdaAllahi min baAAdi meethaqihi wayaqtaAAoona maamara Allahu bihi an yoosala wayufsidoona fee al-ardiola-ika humu alkhasiroona

الذين ينقضون عهد الله من بعد ميثاقه ويقطعون ماامر الله به ان يوصل ويفسدون في الارض اولئك هم الخاسرون

[YA]: Those who break Allah's Covenant after it is ratified, and who sunder what Allah Has ordered to be joined, and do mischief on earth: These cause loss (only) to themselves.

[RK]:who violate GOD's covenant after pledging to uphold it, sever what GOD has commanded to be joined, and commit evil. These are the losers.

Thumma tawallaytum min baAAdi thalikafalawla fadlu Allahi AAalaykum warahmatuhulakuntum mina alkhasireena

ثم توليتم من بعد ذلك فلولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته لكنتم من الخاسرين

[YA]: But ye turned back thereafter: Had it not been for the Grace and Mercy of Allah to you, ye had surely been among the lost.

[RK]:But you turned away thereafter, and if it were not for GOD's grace towards you and His mercy, you would have been doomed.

Allatheena ataynahumualkitaba yatloonahu haqqa tilawatihi ola-ikayu/minoona bihi waman yakfur bihi faola-ika humu alkhasiroona

الذين اتيناهم الكتاب يتلونه حق تلاوته اولئك يؤمنون به ومن يكفر به فاولئك هم الخاسرون

[YA]: Those to whom We have sent the Book study it as it should be studied: They are the ones that believe therein: Those who reject faith therein,- the loss is their own.

[RK]:Those who received the scripture, and know it as it should be known, will believe in this. As for those who disbelieve, they are the losers.

Waman yabtaghi ghayra al-islamideenan falan yuqbala minhu wahuwa fee al-akhirati minaalkhasireena

ومن يبتغ غير الاسلام دينا فلن يقبل منه وهو في الاخرة من الخاسرين

[YA]: If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah), never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter He will be in the ranks of those who have lost (All spiritual good).

[RK]:Anyone who accepts other than Submission as his religion, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter, he will be with the losers.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooin tuteeAAoo allatheena kafaroo yaruddookum AAalaaAAqabikum fatanqaliboo khasireena

ياايها الذين امنوا ان تطيعوا الذين كفروا يردوكم علي اعقابكم فتنقلبوا خاسرين

[YA]: O ye who believe! If ye obey the Unbelievers, they will drive you back on your heels, and ye will turn back (from Faith) to your own loss.

[RK]:O you who believe, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will turn you back on your heels, then you end up losers.

Walaodillannahum walaomanniyannahumwalaamurannahum falayubattikunna athana al-anAAamiwalaamurannahum falayughayyirunna khalqa Allahiwaman yattakhithi alshshaytana waliyyan mindooni Allahi faqad khasira khusranan mubeenan

ولاضلنهم ولامنينهم ولامرنهم فليبتكن اذان الانعام ولامرنهم فليغيرن خلق الله ومن يتخذ الشيطان وليا من دون الله فقد خسر خسرانا مبينا

[YA]: "I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and to deface the (fair) nature created by Allah." Whoever, forsaking Allah, takes satan for a friend, hath of a surety suffered a loss that is manifest.

[RK]:"I will mislead them, I will entice them, I will command them to (forbid the eating of certain meats by) marking the ears of livestock, and I will command them to distort the creation of GOD." Anyone who accepts the devil as a lord, instead of GOD, has incurred a profound loss.

Alyawma ohilla lakumu alttayyibatuwataAAamu allatheena ootoo alkitaba hillunlakum wataAAamukum hillun lahum waalmuhsanatumina almu/minati waalmuhsanatu minaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum itha ataytumoohunnaojoorahunna muhsineena ghayra musafiheenawala muttakhithee akhdanin waman yakfur bial-eemanifaqad habita AAamaluhu wahuwa fee al-akhiratimina alkhasireena

اليوم احل لكم الطيبات وطعام الذين اوتوا الكتاب حل لكم وطعامكم حل لهم والمحصنات من المؤمنات والمحصنات من الذين اوتوا الكتاب من قبلكم اذا اتيتموهن اجورهن محصنين غير مسافحين ولامتخذي اخدان ومن يكفر بالايمان فقد حبط عمله وهو في الاخرة من الخاسرين

[YA]: This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).

[RK]:Today, all good food is made lawful for you. The food of the people of the scripture is lawful for you. Also, you may marry the chaste women among the believers, as well as the chaste women among the followers of previous scripture, provided you pay them their due dowries. You shall maintain chastity, not committing adultery, nor taking secret lovers. Anyone who rejects faith, all his work will be in vain, and in the Hereafter he will be with the losers.

Ya qawmi odkhuloo al-ardaalmuqaddasata allatee kataba Allahu lakum walatartaddoo AAala adbarikum fatanqaliboo khasireena

ياقوم ادخلوا الارض المقدسة التي كتب الله لكم ولاترتدوا علي ادباركم فتنقلبوا خاسرين

[YA]: "O my people! Enter the holy land which Allah hath assigned unto you, and turn not back ignominiously, for then will ye be overthrown, to your own ruin."

[RK]:"O my people, enter the holy land that GOD has decreed for you, and do not rebel, lest you become losers."

FatawwaAAat lahu nafsuhu qatlaakheehi faqatalahu faasbaha mina alkhasireena

فطوعت له نفسه قتل اخيه فقتله فاصبح من الخاسرين

[YA]: The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones.

[RK]:His ego provoked him into killing his brother. He killed him, and ended up with the losers.

Wayaqoolu allatheena amanoo ahaola-iallatheena aqsamoo biAllahi jahda aymanihiminnahum lamaAAakum habitat aAAmaluhum faasbahookhasireena

ويقول الذين امنوا اهولاء الذين اقسموا بالله جهد ايمانهم انهم لمعكم حبطت اعمالهم فاصبحوا خاسرين

[YA]: And those who believe will say: "Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by Allah, that they were with you?" All that they do will be in vain, and they will fall into (nothing but) ruin.

[RK]:The believers will then say, "Are these the same people who swore by GOD solemnly that they were with you?" Their works have been nullified; they are the losers.

Qul liman ma fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi qul lillahi kataba AAalanafsihi alrrahmata layajmaAAannakum ilayawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheenakhasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoona

قل لمن مافي السماوات والارض قل لله كتب علي نفسه الرحمة ليجمعنكم الي يوم القيامة لاريب فيه الذين خسروا انفسهم فهم لايؤمنون

[YA]: Say: "To whom belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth?" Say: "To Allah. He hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) Mercy. That He will gather you together for the Day of Judgment, there is no doubt whatever. It is they who have lost their own souls, that will not believe.

[RK]:Say, "To whom belongs everything in the heavens and the earth?" Say, "To GOD." He has decreed that mercy is His attribute. He will surely summon you all on the Day of Resurrection, which is inevitable. The ones who lose their souls are those who disbelieve.

Allatheena ataynahumualkitaba yaAArifoonahu kama yaAArifoona abnaahumallatheena khasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoona

الذين اتيناهم الكتاب يعرفونه كما يعرفون ابناءهم الذين خسروا انفسهم فهم لايؤمنون

[YA]: Those to whom We have given the Book know this as they know their own sons. Those who have lost their own souls refuse therefore to believe.

[RK]:Those to whom we have given the scripture recognize this as they recognize their own children. The ones who lose their souls are those who do not believe.

Qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi hatta itha jaat-humualssaAAatu baghtatan qaloo ya hasratanaAAala ma farratna feeha wahumyahmiloona awzarahum AAala thuhoorihimala saa ma yaziroona

قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله حتي اذا جاءتهم الساعة بغتة قالوا ياحسرتنا علي مافرطنا فيها وهم يحملون اوزارهم علي ظهورهم الا ساء مايزرون

[YA]: Lost indeed are they who treat it as a falsehood that they must meet Allah,- until on a sudden the hour is on them, and they say: "Ah! woe unto us that we took no thought of it"; for they bear their burdens on their backs, and evil indeed are the burdens that they bear?

[RK]:Losers indeed are those who disbelieve in meeting GOD, until the Hour comes to them suddenly, then say, "We deeply regret wasting our lives in this world." They will carry loads of their sins on their backs; what a miserable load!

Qad khasira allatheena qataloo awladahumsafahan bighayri AAilmin waharramoo ma razaqahumuAllahu iftiraan AAala Allahi qad dalloowama kanoo muhtadeena

قد خسر الذين قتلوا اولادهم سفها بغير علم وحرموا مارزقهم الله افتراء علي الله قد ضلوا وماكانوا مهتدين

[YA]: Lost are those who slay their children, from folly, without knowledge, and forbid food which Allah hath provided for them, inventing (lies) against Allah. They have indeed gone astray and heeded no guidance.

[RK]:Losers indeed are those who killed their children foolishly, due to their lack of knowledge, and prohibited what GOD has provided for them, and followed innovations attributed to GOD. They have gone astray; they are not guided.

Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faola-ikaallatheena khasiroo anfusahum bima kanoo bi-ayatinayathlimoona

ومن خفت موازينه فاولئك الذين خسروا انفسهم بماكانوا باياتنا يظلمون

[YA]: Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs.

[RK]:As for those whose weights are light, they will be the ones who lost their souls as a consequence of disregarding our revelations, unjustly.

Qala rabbana thalamnaanfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamnalanakoonanna mina alkhasireena

قالا ربنا ظلمنا انفسنا وان لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا لنكونن من الخاسرين

[YA]: They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be lost."

[RK]:They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged our souls, and unless You forgive us and have mercy on us, we will be losers."

Hal yanthuroona illata/weelahu yawma ya/tee ta/weeluhu yaqoolu allatheenanasoohu min qablu qad jaat rusulu rabbina bialhaqqifahal lana min shufaAAaa fayashfaAAoo lanaaw nuraddu fanaAAmala ghayra allathee kunnanaAAmalu qad khasiroo anfusahum wadalla AAanhum makanoo yaftaroona

هل ينظرون الا تاويله يوم ياتي تاويله يقول الذين نسوه من قبل قد جاءت رسل ربنا بالحق فهل لنا من شفعاء فيشفعوا لنا او نرد فنعمل غير الذي كنا نعمل قد خسروا انفسهم وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون

[YA]: Do they just wait for the final fulfilment of the event? On the day the event is finally fulfilled, those who disregarded it before will say: "The messengers of our Lord did indeed bring true (tidings). Have we no intercessors now to intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back? then should we behave differently from our behaviour in the past." In fact they will have lost their souls, and the things they invented will leave them in the lurch.

[RK]:Are they waiting until all (prophecies) are fulfilled? The day such fulfillment comes to pass, those who disregarded it in the past will say, "The messengers of our Lord have brought the truth. Are there any intercessors to intercede on our behalf? Would you send us back, so that we change our behavior, and do better works than what we did?" They have lost their souls, and their own innovations have caused their doom.

Waqala almalao allatheenakafaroo min qawmihi la-ini ittabaAAtum shuAAayban innakum ithanlakhasiroona

وقال الملا الذين كفروا من قومه لئن اتبعتم شعيبا انكم اذا لخاسرون

[YA]: The leaders, the unbelievers among his people, said: "If ye follow Shu'aib, be sure then ye are ruined!"

[RK]:The disbelieving leaders among his people said, "If you follow Shu`aib, you will be losers."

Allatheena kaththabooshuAAayban kaan lam yaghnaw feeha allatheena kaththabooshuAAayban kanoo humu alkhasireena

الذين كذبوا شعيبا كان لم يغنوا فيها الذين كذبوا شعيبا كانوا هم الخاسرين

[YA]: The men who reject Shu'aib became as if they had never been in the homes where they had flourished: the men who rejected Shu'aib - it was they who were ruined!

[RK]:Those who rejected Shu`aib vanished, as if they never existed. Those who rejected Shu`aib were the losers.

Afaaminoo makra Allahi falaya/manu makra Allahi illa alqawmu alkhasiroona

افامنوا مكر الله فلايامن مكر الله الا القوم الخاسرون

[YA]: Did they then feel secure against the plan of Allah?- but no one can feel secure from the Plan of Allah, except those (doomed) to ruin!

[RK]:Have they taken GOD's plans for granted? None takes GOD's plans for granted except the losers.

Walamma suqita fee aydeehimwaraaw annahum qad dalloo qaloo la-in lam yarhamnarabbuna wayaghfir lana lanakoonanna mina alkhasireena

ولما سقط في ايديهم وراوا انهم قد ضلوا قالوا لئن لم يرحمنا ربنا ويغفر لنا لنكونن من الخاسرين

[YA]: When they repented, and saw that they had erred, they said: "If our Lord have not mercy upon us and forgive us, we shall indeed be of those who perish."

[RK]:Finally, when they regretted their action, and realized that they had gone astray, they said, "Unless our Lord redeems us with His mercy, and forgives us, we will be losers."

Man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadeewaman yudlil faola-ika humu alkhasiroona

من يهد الله فهو المهتدي ومن يضلل فاولئك هم الخاسرون

[YA]: Whom Allah doth guide,- he is on the right path: whom He rejects from His guidance,- such are the persons who perish.

[RK]:Whomever GOD guides is the truly guided one, and whomever He commits to straying, these are the losers.

Liyameeza Allahu alkhabeetha mina alttayyibiwayajAAala alkhabeetha baAAdahu AAala baAAdinfayarkumahu jameeAAan fayajAAalahu fee jahannama ola-ikahumu alkhasiroona

ليميز الله الخبيث من الطيب ويجعل الخبيث بعضه علي بعض فيركمه جميعا فيجعله في جهنم اولئك هم الخاسرون

[YA]: In order that Allah may separate the impure from the pure, put the impure, one on another, heap them together, and cast them into Hell. They will be the ones to have lost.

[RK]:GOD will sift away the bad from the good, then pile the bad on top of each other, all in one pile, then throw it in Hell. Such are the losers.

Kaallatheena min qablikum kanooashadda minkum quwwatan waakthara amwalan waawladanfaistamtaAAoo bikhalaqihim faistamtaAAtumbikhalaqikum kama istamtaAAa allatheena minqablikum bikhalaqihim wakhudtum kaallatheekhadoo ola-ika habitat aAAmaluhumfee alddunya waal-akhirati waola-ikahumu alkhasiroona

كالذين من قبلكم كانوا اشد منكم قوة واكثر اموالا واولادا فاستمتعوا بخلاقهم فاستمتعتم بخلاقكم كما استمتع الذين من قبلكم بخلاقهم وخضتم كالذي خاضوا اولئك حبطت اعمالهم في الدنيا والاخرة واولئك هم الخاسرون

[YA]: As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good).

[RK]:Some of those before you were stronger than you, and possessed more money and children. They became preoccupied with their material possessions. Similarly, you have become preoccupied with your material possessions, just like those before you have become preoccupied. You have become totally heedless, just as they were heedless. Such are the people who nullify their works, both in this world and in the Hereafter; they are the losers.

Wayawma yahshuruhum kaan lamyalbathoo illa saAAatan mina alnnahariyataAAarafoona baynahum qad khasira allatheena kaththaboobiliqa-i Allahi wama kanoo muhtadeena

ويوم يحشرهم كان لم يلبثوا الا ساعة من النهار يتعارفون بينهم قد خسر الذين كذبوا بلقاء الله وماكانوا مهتدين

[YA]: One day He will gather them together: (It will be) as if they had tarried but an hour of a day: they will recognise each other: assuredly those will be lost who denied the meeting with Allah and refused to receive true guidance.

[RK]:On the day when He summons all of them, they will feel as if they lasted in this world one hour of the day, during which they met. Losers indeed are those who disbelieved in meeting GOD; and chose to be misguided.

Wala takoonanna mina allatheenakaththaboo bi-ayati Allahi fatakoonamina alkhasireena

ولاتكونن من الذين كذبوا بايات الله فتكون من الخاسرين

[YA]: Nor be of those who reject the signs of Allah, or thou shalt be of those who perish.

[RK]:Nor shall you join those who rejected GOD's revelations, lest you be with the losers.

Ola-ika allatheena khasirooanfusahum wadalla AAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroona

اولئك الذين خسروا انفسهم وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون

[YA]: They are the ones who have lost their own souls: and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch!

[RK]:These are the ones who lose their souls, and the idols they had fabricated will disown them.

La jarama annahum fee al-akhiratihumu al-akhsaroona

لاجرم انهم في الاخرة هم الاخسرون

[YA]: Without a doubt, these are the very ones who will lose most in the Hereafter!

[RK]:There is no doubt that, in the Hereafter, they will be the worst losers.

Qala rabbi innee aAAoothu bikaan as-alaka ma laysa lee bihi AAilmun wa-illataghfir lee watarhamnee akun mina alkhasireena

قال رب اعوذ بك ان اسالك ماليس لي به علم والا تغفر لي وترحمني اكن من الخاسرين

[YA]: Noah said: "O my Lord! I do seek refuge with Thee, lest I ask Thee for that of which I have no knowledge. And unless thou forgive me and have Mercy on me, I should indeed be lost!"

[RK]:He said, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You, lest I implore You again for something I do not know. Unless You forgive me, and have mercy on me, I will be with the losers."

Qala ya qawmi araaytum inkuntu AAala bayyinatin min rabbee waataneeminhu rahmatan faman yansurunee mina Allahiin AAasaytuhu fama tazeedoonanee ghayra takhseerin

قال ياقوم ارايتم ان كنت علي بينة من ربي واتاني منه رحمة فمن ينصرني من الله ان عصيته فما تزيدونني غير تخسير

[YA]: He said: "O my people! do ye see? if I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord and He hath sent Mercy unto me from Himself,- who then can help me against Allah if I were to disobey Him? What then would ye add to my (portion) but perdition?

[RK]:He said, "O my people, what if I have solid proof from my Lord, and mercy from Him? Who would support me against GOD, if I disobeyed Him? You can only augment my loss.

Qaloo la-in akalahu alththi/buwanahnu AAusbatun inna ithan lakhasiroona

قالوا لئن اكله الذئب ونحن عصبة انا اذا لخاسرون

[YA]: They said: "If the wolf were to devour him while we are (so large) a party, then should we indeed (first) have perished ourselves!"

[RK]:They said, "Indeed, if the wolf devours him, with so many of us around, then we are really losers."

La jarama annahum fee al-akhiratihumu alkhasiroona

لاجرم انهم في الاخرة هم الخاسرون

[YA]: Without doubt, in the Hereafter they will perish.

[RK]:Without a doubt, they will be the losers in the Hereafter.

Wanunazzilu mina alqur-ani mahuwa shifaon warahmatun lilmu/mineena walayazeedu alththalimeena illakhasaran

وننزل من القران ماهو شفاء ورحمة للمؤمنين ولايزيد الظالمين الا خسارا

[YA]: We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss.

[RK]:We send down in the Quran healing and mercy for the believers. At the same time, it only increases the wickedness of the transgressors.

قل هل ننبئكم بالاخسرين اعمالا

[YA]: Say: "Shall we tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds?-

[RK]:Say, "Shall I tell you who the worst losers are?

وارادوا به كيدا فجعلناهم الاخسرين

[YA]: Then they sought a stratagem against him: but We made them the ones that lost most!

[RK]:Thus, they schemed against him, but we made them the losers.

Wamina alnnasi man yaAAbuduAllaha AAala harfin fa-in asabahukhayrun itmaanna bihi wa-in asabat-hu fitnatuninqalaba AAala wajhihi khasira alddunya waal-akhiratathalika huwa alkhusranu almubeenu

ومن الناس من يعبد الله علي حرف فان اصابه خير اطمان به وان اصابته فتنة انقلب علي وجهه خسر الدنيا والاخرة ذلك هو الخسران المبين

[YA]: There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces: they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see!

[RK]:Among the people there is the one who worships GOD conditionally. If things go his way, he is content. But if some adversity befalls him, he makes an about-face. Thus, he loses both this life and the Hereafter. Such is the real loss.

[YA]: "If ye obey a man like yourselves, behold, it is certain ye will be lost.

[RK]:"If you obey a human being like you, then you are really losers.

ومن خفت موازينه فاولئك الذين خسروا انفسهم في جهنم خالدون

[YA]: But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide.

[RK]:Those whose weights are light are the ones who lost their souls; they abide in Hell forever.

[YA]: "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud).

Ola-ika allatheena lahum soo-oalAAathabi wahum fee al-akhirati humu al-akhsaroona

اولئك الذين لهم سوء العذاب وهم في الاخرة هم الاخسرون

[YA]: Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss.

[RK]:It is these who incur the worst retribution, and in the Hereafter, they will be the worst losers.

Qul kafa biAllahibaynee wabaynakum shaheedan yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi waallatheena amanoobialbatili wakafaroo biAllahi ola-ikahumu alkhasiroona

قل كفي بالله بيني وبينكم شهيدا يعلم مافي السماوات والارض والذين امنوا بالباطل وكفروا بالله اولئك هم الخاسرون

[YA]: Say: "Enough is Allah for a witness between me and you: He knows what is in the heavens and on earth. And it is those who believe in vanities and reject Allah, that will perish (in the end).

[RK]:Say, "GOD suffices as a witness between me and you. He knows everything in the heavens and the earth. Surely, those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in GOD are the real losers."

Huwa allathee jaAAalakum khala-ifafee al-ardi faman kafara faAAalayhi kufruhu walayazeedu alkafireena kufruhum AAinda rabbihim illamaqtan wala yazeedu alkafireena kufruhum illakhasaran

هو الذي جعلكم خلائف في الارض فمن كفر فعليه كفره ولايزيد الكافرين كفرهم عند ربهم الا مقتا ولايزيد الكافرين كفرهم الا خسارا

[YA]: He it is That has made you inheritors in the earth: if, then, any do reject (Allah), their rejection (works) against themselves: their rejection but adds to the odium for the Unbelievers in the sight of their Lord: their rejection but adds to (their own) undoing.

[RK]:He is the One who made you inheritors of the earth. Subsequently, whoever chooses to disbelieve does so to his own detriment. The disbelief of the disbelievers only augments their Lord's abhorrence towards them. The disbelief of the disbelievers plunges them deeper into loss.

FaoAAbudoo ma shi/tum mindoonihi qul inna alkhasireena allatheena khasirooanfusahum waahleehim yawma alqiyamati ala thalikahuwa alkhusranu almubeenu

فاعبدوا ماشئتم من دونه قل ان الخاسرين الذين خسروا انفسهم واهليهم يوم القيامة الا ذلك هو الخسران المبين

[YA]: "Serve ye what ye will besides him." Say: "Truly, those in loss are those who lose their own souls and their People on the Day of Judgment: Ah! that is indeed the (real and) evident Loss!

[RK]:"Therefore, worship whatever you wish beside Him." Say, "The real losers are those who lose their souls, and their families, on the Day of Resurrection." Most certainly, this is the real loss.

Lahu maqaleedu alssamawatiwaal-ardi waallatheena kafaroo bi-ayatiAllahi ola-ika humu alkhasiroona

له مقاليد السماوات والارض والذين كفروا بايات الله اولئك هم الخاسرون

[YA]: To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth: and those who reject the Signs of Allah,- it is they who will be in loss.

[RK]:To Him belongs all decisions in the heavens and the earth, and those who disbelieve in GOD's revelations are the real losers.

Walaqad oohiya ilayka wa-ilaallatheena min qablika la-in ashrakta layahbatannaAAamaluka walatakoonanna mina alkhasireena

ولقد اوحي اليك والي الذين من قبلك لئن اشركت ليحبطن عملك ولتكونن من الخاسرين

[YA]: But it has already been revealed to thee,- as it was to those before thee,- "If thou wert to join (gods with Allah), truly fruitless will be thy work (in life), and thou wilt surely be in the ranks of those who lose (all spiritual good)".

[RK]:It has been revealed to you, and to those before you that if you ever commit idol worship, all your works will be nullified, and you will be with the losers.

Walaqad arsalna rusulan min qablikaminhum man qasasna AAalayka waminhum man lamnaqsus AAalayka wama kana lirasoolinan ya/tiya bi-ayatin illa bi-ithni Allahifa-itha jaa amru Allahi qudiya bialhaqqiwakhasira hunalika almubtiloona

ولقد ارسلنا رسلا من قبلك منهم من قصصنا عليك ومنهم من لم نقصص عليك وماكان لرسول ان ياتي باية الاباذن الله فاذا جاء امر الله قضي بالحق وخسر هنالك المبطلون

[YA]: We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods.

[RK]:We have sent messengers before you - some of them we mentioned to you, and some we did not mention to you. No messenger can produce any miracle without GOD's authorization. Once GOD's judgment is issued, the truth dominates, and the falsifiers are exposed and humiliated.
