[YA]: Say: "Running away will not profit you if ye are running away from death or slaughter; and even if (ye do escape), no more than a brief (respite) will ye be allowed to enjoy!" [RK]:Say, "If you flee, you can never flee from death or from being killed. No matter what happens, you only live a short while longer."

[YA]: O Prophet! Say to thy Consorts: "If it be that ye desire the life of this World, and its glitter,- then come! I will provide for your enjoyment and set you free in a handsome manner. [RK]:O prophet, say to your wives, "If you are seeking this life and its vanities, then let me compensate you and allow you to go amicably.

[YA]: O ye who believe! When ye marry believing women, and then divorce them before ye have touched them, no period of 'Iddat have ye to count in respect of them: so give them a present. And set them free in a handsome manner. [RK]:O you who believe, if you married believing women, then divorced them before having intercourse with them, they do not owe you any waiting interim (before marrying another man). You shall compensate them equitably, and let them go amicably.

[YA]: O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity. [RK]:O you who believe, do not enter the prophet's homes unless you are given permission to eat, nor shall you force such an invitation in any manner. If you are invited, you may enter. When you finish eating, you shall leave; do not engage him in lengthy conversations. This used to hurt the prophet, and he was too shy to tell you. But GOD does not shy away from the truth. If you have to ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and their hearts. You are not to hurt the messenger of GOD. You shall not marry his wives after him, for this would be a gross offense in the sight of GOD.

[YA]: Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. [RK]:Instead, we shower them with mercy, and let them enjoy for awhile.

[YA]: And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. [RK]:They did believe, and we let them enjoy this life.

[YA]: When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!" [RK]:When the human being is afflicted, he implores his Lord, sincerely devoted to Him. But as soon as He blesses him, he forgets his previous imploring, sets up idols to rank with GOD and to divert others from His path. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief temporarily; you have incurred the hellfire."
58 | [40:39] Line:4172 |

[YA]: "O my people! This life of the present is nothing but (temporary) convenience: It is the Hereafter that is the Home that will last. [RK]:"O my people, this first life is a temporary illusion, while the Hereafter is the eternal abode."
59 | [42:36] Line:4308 |
| ||
[YA]: Whatever ye are given (here) is (but) a convenience of this life: but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting: (it is) for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord: [RK]:Whatever you are given is no more than temporary material of this life. What GOD possesses is far better and everlasting, for those who believe and trust in their Lord.
60 | [43:29] Line:4354 |

[YA]: Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear. [RK]:Indeed, I have given these people and their ancestors sufficient chances, then the truth came to them, and a clarifying messenger.

[YA]: And also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: The Hereafter, in the sight of thy Lord is for the Righteous. [RK]:Also many ornaments. All these are the temporary materials of this lowly life. The Hereafter - at your Lord - is far better for the righteous.
62 | [46:20] Line:4530 |

[YA]: And on the Day that the Unbelievers will be placed before the Fire, (It will be said to them): "Ye received your good things in the life of the world, and ye took your pleasure out of them: but today shall ye be recompensed with a Penalty of humiliation: for that ye were arrogant on earth without just cause, and that ye (ever) transgressed." [RK]:The day will come when those who disbelieved will be introduced to the hellfire: "You have wasted the good chances given to you during your worldly life, and you rejoiced in them. Consequently, today you incur a shameful retribution as a requital for the arrogance you committed on earth without any basis, and for your evil works."
63 | [47:12] Line:4557 |

[YA]: Verily Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow; while those who reject Allah will enjoy (this world) and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode. [RK]:GOD admits those who believe and lead a righteous life into gardens with flowing streams. As for those who disbelieve, they live and eat like the animals eat, then end up in the hellfire.

[YA]: And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" [RK]:In Thamoud (there is a lesson). They were told, "Enjoy temporarily."

[YA]: We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. [RK]:We rendered it a reminder, and a useful tool for the users.

[YA]: Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of Allah). And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception? [RK]:Know that this worldly life is no more than play and games, and boasting among you, and hoarding of money and children. It is like abundant rain that produces plants and pleases the disbelievers. But then the plants turn into useless hay, and are blown away by the wind. In the Hereafter there is either severe retribution, or forgiveness from GOD and approval. This worldly life is no more than a temporary illusion.
67 | [77:46] Line:5668 |

[YA]: (O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners. [RK]:Eat and enjoy temporarily; you are guilty.
68 | [79:33] Line:5745 |

[YA]: For use and convenience to you and your cattle. [RK]:All this to provide life support for you and your animals.
