Faman hajjaka feehi min baAAdi majaaka mina alAAilmi faqul taAAalaw nadAAu abnaanawaabnaakum wanisaana wanisaakumwaanfusana waanfusakum thumma nabtahil fanajAAal laAAnataAllahi AAala alkathibeenaفمن حاجك فيه من بعد ماجاءك من العلم فقل تعالوا ندع ابناءنا وابناءكم ونساءنا ونساءكم وانفسنا وانفسكم ثم نبتهل فنجعل لعنة الله علي الكاذبين
[YA]: If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"

[RK]:If anyone argues with you, despite the knowledge you have received, then say, "Let us summon our children and your children, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then let us invoke GOD's curse upon the liars."

[YA]: But if they turn back, Allah hath full knowledge of those who do mischief.

[RK]:If they turn away, then GOD is fully aware of the evildoers.

[YA]: Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will).

[RK]:Say, "O followers of the scripture, let us come to a logical agreement between us and you: that we shall not worship except GOD; that we never set up any idols besides Him, nor set up any human beings as lords beside GOD." If they turn away, say, "Bear witness that we are submitters."

Ha antum haola-i hajajtumfeema lakum bihi AAilmun falima tuhajjoona feemalaysa lakum bihi AAilmun waAllahu yaAAlamu waantumla taAAlamoonaهاانتم هؤلاء حاججتم فيما لكم به علم فلم تحاجون فيما ليس لكم به علم والله يعلم وانتم لاتعلمون
[YA]: Ah! Ye are those who fell to disputing (Even) in matters of which ye had some knowledge! but why dispute ye in matters of which ye have no knowledge? It is Allah Who knows, and ye who know not!

[RK]:You have argued about things you knew; why do you argue about things you do not know? GOD knows, while you do not know.

Inna awla alnnasibi-ibraheema lallatheena ittabaAAoohu wahathaalnnabiyyu waallatheena amanoo waAllahuwaliyyu almu/mineenaان اولي الناس بابراهيم للذين اتبعوه وهذا النبي والذين امنوا والله ولي المؤمنين
[YA]: Without doubt, among men, the nearest of kin to Abraham, are those who follow him, as are also this Prophet and those who believe: And Allah is the Protector of those who have faith.

[RK]:The people most worthy of Abraham are those who followed him, and this prophet, and those who believe. GOD is the Lord and Master of the believers.

[YA]: Ye People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, of which ye are (Yourselves) witnesses?

[RK]:O followers of the scripture, why do you reject these revelations of GOD though you bear witness (that this is the truth)?

Wala tu/minoo illa limantabiAAa deenakum qul inna alhuda huda Allahian yu/ta ahadun mithla ma ooteetum aw yuhajjookumAAinda rabbikum qul inna alfadla biyadi Allahiyu/teehi man yashao waAllahu wasiAAunAAaleemunولاتؤمنوا الا لمن تبع دينكم قل ان الهدي هدي الله ان يؤتي احد مثل مااوتيتم او يحاجوكم عند ربكم قل ان الفضل بيد الله يؤتيه من يشاء والله واسع عليم
[YA]: "And believe no one unless he follows your religion." Say: "True guidance is the Guidance of Allah: (Fear ye) Lest a revelation be sent to someone (else) Like unto that which was sent unto you? or that those (Receiving such revelation) should engage you in argument before your Lord?" Say: "All bounties are in the hand of Allah: He granteth them to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things."

[RK]:"And do not believe except as those who follow your religion." Say, "The true guidance is GOD's guidance." If they claim that they have the same guidance, or argue with you about your Lord, say, "All grace is in GOD's hand; He bestows it upon whomever He wills." GOD is Bounteous, Omniscient.

Yakhtassu birahmatihi man yashaowaAllahu thoo alfadli alAAatheemiيختص برحمته من يشاء والله ذو الفضل العظيم
[YA]: For His Mercy He specially chooseth whom He pleaseth; for Allah is the Lord of bounties unbounded.

[RK]:He specifies His mercy for whomever He wills; GOD possesses unlimited grace.

Wamin ahli alkitabi man in ta/manhubiqintarin yu-addihi ilayka waminhum man in ta/manhubideenarin la yu-addihi ilayka illa madumta AAalayhi qa-iman thalika bi-annahum qaloolaysa AAalayna fee al-ommiyyeena sabeelun wayaqooloonaAAala Allahi alkathiba wahum yaAAlamoonaومن اهل الكتاب من ان تامنه بقنطار يؤده اليك ومنهم من ان تامنه بدينار لايؤده اليك الا مادمت عليه قائما ذلك بانهم قالوا ليس علينا في الاميين سبيل ويقولون علي الله الكذب وهم يعلمون
[YA]: Among the People of the Book are some who, if entrusted with a hoard of gold, will (readily) pay it back; others, who, if entrusted with a single silver coin, will not repay it unless thou constantly stoodest demanding, because, they say, "there is no call on us (to keep faith) with these ignorant (Pagans)." but they tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it.

[RK]:Some followers of the scripture can be trusted with a whole lot, and they will give it back to you. Others among them cannot be trusted with a single dinar; they will not repay you unless you keep after them. That is because they say, "We do not have to be honest when dealing with the gentiles!" Thus, they attribute lies to GOD, knowingly.

Bala man awfa biAAahdihi waittaqafa-inna Allaha yuhibbu almuttaqeenaبلي من اوفي بعهده واتقي فان الله يحب المتقين
[YA]: Nay.- Those that keep their plighted faith and act aright,-verily Allah loves those who act aright.

[RK]:Indeed, those who fulfill their obligations and lead a righteous life, GOD loves the righteous.

Inna allatheena yashtaroona biAAahdiAllahi waaymanihim thamanan qaleelan ola-ikala khalaqa lahum fee al-akhirati walayukallimuhumu Allahu wala yanthuruilayhim yawma alqiyamati wala yuzakkeehim walahumAAathabun aleemunان الذين يشترون بعهد الله وايمانهم ثمنا قليلا اولئك لاخلاق لهم في الاخرة ولايكلمهم الله ولاينظر اليهم يوم القيامة ولايزكيهم ولهم عذاب اليم
[YA]: As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter: Nor will Allah (Deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleans them (of sin): They shall have a grievous penalty.

[RK]:As for those who trade away GOD's covenant, and their obligations, for a cheap price, they receive no share in the Hereafter. GOD will not speak to them, nor look at them, on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them. They have incurred a painful retribution.

[YA]: There is among them a section who distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is from Allah," but it is not from Allah: It is they who tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it!

[RK]:Among them are those who twist their tongues to imitate the scripture, that you may think it is from the scripture, when it is not from the scripture, and they claim that it is from GOD, when it is not from GOD. Thus, they utter lies and attribute them to GOD, knowingly.

Ma kana libasharin anyu/tiyahu Allahu alkitaba waalhukmawaalnnubuwwata thumma yaqoola lilnnasikoonoo AAibadan lee min dooni Allahi walakinkoonoo rabbaniyyeena bima kuntum tuAAallimoonaalkitaba wabima kuntum tadrusoonaما كان لبشر ان يؤتيه الله الكتاب والحكم والنبوة ثم يقول للناس كونوا عبادا لي من دون الله ولكن كونوا ربانيين بما كنتم تعلمون الكتاب وبما كنتم تدرسون
[YA]: It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people: "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah's": on the contrary (He would say) "Be ye worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all: For ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly."

[RK]:Never would a human being whom GOD blessed with the scripture and prophethood say to the people, "Idolize me beside GOD." Instead, (he would say), "Devote yourselves absolutely to your Lord alone," according to the scripture you preach and the teachings you learn.

[YA]: It is not (possible) that a man, to whom is given the Book, and Wisdom, and the prophetic office, should say to people: "Be ye my worshippers rather than Allah's": on the contrary (He would say) "Be ye worshippers of Him Who is truly the Cherisher of all: For ye have taught the Book and ye have studied it earnestly."

[RK]:Never would a human being whom GOD blessed with the scripture and prophethood say to the people, "Idolize me beside GOD." Instead, (he would say), "Devote yourselves absolutely to your Lord alone," according to the scripture you preach and the teachings you learn.

Wa-ith akhatha Allahumeethaqa alnnabiyyeena lama ataytukummin kitabin wahikmatin thumma jaakumrasoolun musaddiqun lima maAAakum latu/minunna bihiwalatansurunnahu qala aaqrartum waakhathtumAAala thalikum isree qaloo aqrarnaqala faishhadoo waana maAAakum mina alshshahideenaواذ اخذ الله ميثاق النبيين لما اتيتكم من كتاب وحكمة ثم جاءكم رسول مصدق لما معكم لتؤمنن به ولتنصرنه قال ءاقررتم واخذتم علي ذلكم اصري قالوا اقررنا قال فاشهدوا وانا معكم من الشاهدين
[YA]: Behold! Allah took the covenant of the prophets, saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom; then comes to you a messenger, confirming what is with you; do ye believe in him and render him help." Allah said: "Do ye agree, and take this my Covenant as binding on you?" They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses."

[RK]:GOD took a covenant from the prophets, saying, "I will give you the scripture and wisdom. Afterwards, a messenger will come to confirm all existing scriptures. You shall believe in him and support him." He said, "Do you agree with this, and pledge to fulfill this covenant?" They said, "We agree." He said, "You have thus borne witness, and I bear witness along with you."

Afaghayra deeni Allahi yabghoonawalahu aslama man fee alssamawati waal-arditawAAan wakarhan wa-ilayhi yurjaAAoonaافغير دين الله يبغون وله اسلم من في السماوات والارض طوعا وكرها واليه يرجعون
[YA]: Do they seek for other than the Religion of Allah?-while all creatures in the heavens and on earth have, willing or unwilling, bowed to His Will (Accepted Islam), and to Him shall they all be brought back.

[RK]:Are they seeking other than GOD's religion, when everything in the heavens and the earth has submitted to Him, willingly and unwillingly, and to Him they will be returned?

Qul amanna biAllahiwama onzila AAalayna wama onzila AAalaibraheema wa-ismaAAeela wa-ishaqawayaAAqooba waal-asbati wama ootiya moosawaAAeesa waalnnabiyyoona min rabbihim lanufarriqu bayna ahadin minhum wanahnu lahumuslimoonaقل امنا بالله وماانزل علينا وماانزل علي ابراهيم واسماعيل واسحاق ويعقوب والاسباط ومااوتي موسي وعيسي والنبيون من ربهم لانفرق بين احد منهم ونحن له مسلمون
[YA]: Say: "We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them, and to Allah do we bow our will (in Islam)."

[RK]:Say, "We believe in GOD, and in what was sent down to us, and in what was sent down to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and in what was given to Moses, Jesus, and the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction among any of them. To Him alone we are submitters."

[YA]: How shall Allah Guide those who reject Faith after they accepted it and bore witness that the Messenger was true and that Clear Signs had come unto them? but Allah guides not a people unjust.

[RK]:Why should GOD guide people who disbelieved after believing, and after witnessing that the messenger is truth, and after solid proofs have been given to them? GOD does not guide the wicked.

[YA]: How shall Allah Guide those who reject Faith after they accepted it and bore witness that the Messenger was true and that Clear Signs had come unto them? but Allah guides not a people unjust.

[RK]:Why should GOD guide people who disbelieved after believing, and after witnessing that the messenger is truth, and after solid proofs have been given to them? GOD does not guide the wicked.

Ola-ika jazaohum annaAAalayhim laAAnata Allahi waalmala-ikati waalnnasiajmaAAeenaاولئك جزاؤهم ان عليهم لعنة الله والملائكة والناس اجمعين
[YA]: Of such the reward is that on them (rests) the curse of Allah, of His angels, and of all mankind;-

[YA]: Except for those that repent (Even) after that, and make amends; for verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[RK]:Exempted are those who repent thereafter, and reform. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

Lan tanaloo albirra hattatunfiqoo mimma tuhibboona wama tunfiqoo minshay-in fa-inna Allaha bihi AAaleemunلن تنالوا البر حتي تنفقوا مما تحبون وماتنفقوا من شئ فان الله به عليم
[YA]: By no means shall ye attain righteousness unless ye give (freely) of that which ye love; and whatever ye give, of a truth Allah knoweth it well.

[RK]:You cannot attain righteousness until you give to charity from the possessions you love. Whatever you give to charity, GOD is fully aware thereof.

Famani iftara AAala Allahialkathiba min baAAdi thalika faola-ika humualthalimoonaفمن افتري علي الله الكذب من بعد ذلك فاؤلئك هم الظالمون
[YA]: If any, after this, invent a lie and attribute it to Allah, they are indeed unjust wrong-doers.

[RK]:Those who fabricate false prohibitions after this, and attribute them to GOD, are truly wicked.

Qul sadaqa Allahu faittabiAAoomillata ibraheema haneefan wama kanamina almushrikeenaقل صدق الله فاتبعوا ملة ابراهيم حنيفا وماكان من المشركين
[YA]: Say: "Allah speaketh the Truth: follow the religion of Abraham, the sane in faith; he was not of the Pagans."

[RK]:Say, "GOD has proclaimed the truth: You shall follow Abraham's religion - monotheism. He never was an idolater."

[YA]: In it are Signs Manifest; (for example), the Station of Abraham; whoever enters it attains security; Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures.

[RK]:In it are clear signs: the station of Abraham. Anyone who enters it shall be granted safe passage. The people owe it to GOD that they shall observe Hajj to this shrine, when they can afford it. As for those who disbelieve, GOD does not need anyone.

[RK]:Say, "O followers of the scripture, why do you repel from the path of GOD those who wish to believe, and seek to distort it, even though you are witnesses?" GOD is never unaware of anything you do.

[YA]: O ye who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam.

[RK]:O you who believe, you shall observe GOD as He should be observed, and do not die except as Submitters.

[YA]: And hold fast, all together, by the rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude Allah's favour on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren; and ye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth Allah make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided.

[RK]:You shall hold fast to the rope of GOD, all of you, and do not be divided. Recall GOD's blessings upon you - you used to be enemies and He reconciled your hearts. By His grace, you became brethren. You were at the brink of a pit of fire, and He saved you therefrom. GOD thus explains His revelations for you, that you may be guided.

Waamma allatheena ibyaddatwujoohuhum fafee rahmati Allahi hum feeha khalidoonaواما الذين ابيضت وجوههم ففي رحمة الله هم فيها خالدون
[YA]: But those whose faces will be (lit with) white,- they will be in (the light of) Allah's mercy: therein to dwell (for ever).

[RK]:As for those whose faces are brightened, they will rejoice in GOD's mercy; they abide therein forever.

[RK]:These are GOD's revelations; we recite them to you, truthfully. GOD does not wish any hardship for the people.
