ولله ملك السماوات والارض يغفر لمن يشاء ويعذب من يشاء وكان الله غفورا رحيما

[YA]: To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[RK]:To GOD belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He forgives whomever He wills, and punishes whomever He wills. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

قل اتعلمون الله بدينكم والله يعلم مافي السماوات ومافي الارض والله بكل شئ عليم

[YA]: Say: "What! Will ye instruct Allah about your religion? But Allah knows all that is in the heavens and on earth: He has full knowledge of all things.

[RK]:Say, "Are you informing GOD about your religion? GOD knows everything in the heavens and the earth. GOD is Omniscient."

ان الله يعلم غيب السماوات والارض والله بصير بما تعملون

[YA]: "Verily Allah knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth: and Allah Sees well all that ye do."

[RK]:GOD knows all the secrets in the heavens and the earth; GOD is Seer of everything you do.

افلم ينظروا الي السماء فوقهم كيف بنيناها وزيناها ومالها من فروج

[YA]: Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?

[RK]:Have they not looked at the sky above them, and how we constructed it and adorned it, without a flaw?

Wanazzalna mina alssama-imaan mubarakan faanbatna bihi jannatinwahabba alhaseedi

ونزلنا من السماء ماء مباركا فانبتنا به جنات وحب الحصيد

[YA]: And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests;

[RK]:And we sent from the sky blessed water, to grow with it gardens and grains to be harvested.

ولقد خلقنا السماوات والارض ومابينهما في ستة ايام ومامسنا من لغوب

[YA]: We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.

[RK]:We have created the heavens and the earth, and everything between them in six days, and no fatigue touched us.

[YA]: By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths,

[RK]:Despite the perfectly created sky.

[YA]: And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised.

فورب السماء والارض انه لحق مثل ماانكم تنطقون

[YA]: Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other.

[RK]:By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is as true as the fact that you speak.

والسماء بنيناها بايد وانا لموسعون

[YA]: With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace.

[RK]:We constructed the sky with our hands, and we will continue to expand it.

[YA]: On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.

[RK]:The day will come when the sky will violently thunder.

ام خلقوا السماوات والارض بل لايوقنون

[YA]: Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.

[RK]:Did they create the heavens and the earth? Indeed, they have no certainty.

Wa-in yaraw kisfan mina alssama-isaqitan yaqooloo sahabun markoomun

وان يروا كسفا من السماء ساقطا يقولوا سحاب مركوم

[YA]: Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"

[RK]:When they see masses falling from the sky, they will say, "Piled clouds!"

Wakam min malakin fee alssamawatila tughnee shafaAAatuhum shay-an illa minbaAAdi an ya/thana Allahu liman yashao wayarda

وكم من ملك في السماوات لاتغني شفاعتهم شيئا الا من بعد ان ياذن الله لمن يشاء ويرضي

[YA]: How many-so-ever be the angels in the heavens, their intercession will avail nothing except after Allah has given leave for whom He pleases and that he is acceptable to Him.

[RK]:Not even the angels in heaven possess authority to intercede. The only ones permitted by GOD are those who act in accordance with His will and His approval.

ولله مافي السماوات ومافي الارض ليجزي الذين اساوا بما عملوا ويجزي الذين احسنوا بالحسني

[YA]: Yea, to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: so that He rewards those who do evil, according to their deeds, and He rewards those who do good, with what is best.

[RK]:To GOD belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. He will requite those who commit evil for their works, and will reward the righteous for their righteousness.

[YA]: So We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring forth.

[RK]:We then opened the gates of the sky, pouring water.

[YA]: And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),

يساله من في السماوات والارض كل يوم هوفي شان

[YA]: Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!

[RK]:Imploring Him is everyone in the heavens and the earth. Every day He is in full control.

Ya maAAshara aljinni waal-insiini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari alssamawatiwaal-ardi faonfuthoo la tanfuthoonailla bisultanin

يامعشر الجن والانس ان استطعتم ان تنفذوا من اقطار السماوات والارض فانفذوا لاتنفذون الا بسلطان

[YA]: O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!

[RK]:O you jinns and humans, if you can penetrate the outer limits of the heavens and the earth, go ahead and penetrate. You cannot penetrate without authorization.

فاذا انشقت السماء فكانت وردة كالدهان

[YA]: When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment:

[RK]:When the sky disintegrates, and turns rose colored like paint.

سبح لله مافي السماوات والارض وهو العزيز الحكيم

[YA]: Whatever is in the heavens and on earth,- let it declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: for He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

[RK]:Glorifying GOD is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

له ملك السماوات والارض يحيي ويميت وهو علي كل شئ قدير

[YA]: To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: It is He Who gives Life and Death; and He has Power over all things.

[RK]:To Him belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth. He controls life and death. He is Omnipotent.

Huwa allathee khalaqa alssamawatiwaal-arda fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawaAAala alAAarshi yaAAlamu ma yaliju fee al-ardiwama yakhruju minha wama yanzilu mina alssama-iwama yaAAruju feeha wahuwa maAAakum ayna makuntum waAllahu bima taAAmaloona baseerun

هو الذي خلق السماوات والارض في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش يعلم مايلج في الارض ومايخرج منها وماينزل من السماء ومايعرج فيها وهو معكم اين ماكنتم والله بما تعملون بصير

[YA]: He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of Authority). He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah sees well all that ye do.

[RK]:He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then assumed all authority. He knows everything that enters into the earth, and everything that comes out of it, and everything that comes down from the sky, and everything that climbs into it. He is with you wherever you may be. GOD is Seer of everything you do.

[YA]: To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah.

[RK]:To Him belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth. All matters are controlled by GOD.

Wama lakum alla tunfiqoo feesabeeli Allahi walillahi meerathu alssamawatiwaal-ardi la yastawee minkum man anfaqa minqabli alfathi waqatala ola-ika aAAthamudarajatan mina allatheena anfaqoo min baAAdu waqataloowakullan waAAada Allahu alhusna waAllahubima taAAmaloona khabeerun

ومالكم الا تنفقوا في سبيل الله ولله ميراث السماوات والارض لايستوي منكم من انفق من قبل الفتح وقاتل اولئك اعظم درجة من الذين انفقوا من بعد وقاتلوا وكلا وعد الله الحسني والله بما تعملون خبير

[YA]: And what cause have ye why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah?- For to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought, before the Victory, (with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward). And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do.

[RK]:Why do you not spend in the cause of GOD, when GOD possesses all wealth in the heavens and the earth? Distinguished from the rest are those among you who spend before the victory and strive. They attain a greater rank than those who spend after the victory and strive. For each, GOD promises salvation. GOD is Cognizant of everything you do.

Sabiqoo ila maghfiratin minrabbikum wajannatin AAarduha kaAAardi alssama-iwaal-ardi oAAiddat lillatheena amanoobiAllahi warusulihi thalika fadlu Allahiyu/teehi man yashao waAllahu thooalfadli alAAatheemi

سابقوا الي مغفرة من ربكم وجنة عرضها كعرض السماء والارض اعدت للذين امنوا بالله ورسله ذلك فضل الله يؤتيه من يشاء والله ذو الفضل العظيم

[YA]: Be ye foremost (in seeking) Forgiveness from your Lord, and a Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers: that is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom he pleases: and Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding.

[RK]:Therefore, you shall race towards forgiveness from your Lord, and a Paradise whose width encompasses the heaven and the earth. It awaits those who believed in GOD and His messengers. Such is GOD's grace that He bestows upon whomever He wills. GOD is Possessor of Infinite Grace.

Alam tara anna Allaha yaAAlamu mafee alssamawati wama fee al-ardima yakoonu min najwa thalathatin illahuwa rabiAAuhum wala khamsatin illa huwa sadisuhumwala adna min thalika wala aktharailla huwa maAAahum ayna ma kanoo thummayunabbi-ohum bima AAamiloo yawma alqiyamati innaAllaha bikulli shay-in AAaleemun

الم تر ان الله يعلم مافي السماوات ومافي الارض مايكون من نجوي ثلاثة الا هو رابعهم ولاخمسة الا هو سادسهم ولاادني من ذلك ولااكثر الا هو معهم اين ماكانوا ثم ينبئهم بما عملوا يوم القيامة ان الله بكل شئ عليم

[YA]: Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For Allah has full knowledge of all things.

[RK]:Do you not realize that GOD knows everything in the heavens and everything on earth? No three people can conspire secretly without Him being their fourth, nor five without Him being the sixth, nor less than that, nor more, without Him being there with them wherever they may be. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of everything they had done. GOD is fully aware of all things.

هو الله الخالق الباري المصور له الاسماء الحسني يسبح له مافي السماوات والارض وهو العزيز الحكيم

[YA]: He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

[RK]:He is the One GOD; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

[YA]: Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah,- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

[RK]:Glorifying GOD is everything in the heavens and everything on earth; the King, the Most Sacred, the Almighty, the Most Wise.

Humu allatheena yaqooloona latunfiqoo AAala man AAinda rasooli Allahi hattayanfaddoo walillahi khaza-inu alssamawatiwaal-ardi walakinna almunafiqeena layafqahoona

هم الذين يقولون لاتنفقوا علي من عند رسول الله حتي ينفضوا ولله خزائن السماوات والارض ولكن المنافقين لايفقهون

[YA]: They are the ones who say, "Spend nothing on those who are with Allah's Messenger, to the end that they may disperse (and quit Medina)." But to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the Hypocrites understand not.

[RK]:They are the ones who say, "Do not give any money to those who followed the messenger of GOD, perhaps they abandon him!" However, GOD possesses the treasures of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not comprehend.

Yusabbihu lillahi ma feealssamawati wama fee al-ardilahu almulku walahu alhamdu wahuwa AAala kullishay-in qadeerun

يسبح لله مافي السماوات ومافي الارض له الملك وله الحمد وهو علي كل شي قدير

[YA]: Whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare the Praises and Glory of Allah: to Him belongs dominion, and to Him belongs praise: and He has power over all things.

[RK]:Glorifying GOD is everything in the heavens and everything on earth. To Him belongs all kingship, and to Him belongs all praise, and He is Omnipotent.

Khalaqa alssamawati waal-ardabialhaqqi wasawwarakum faahsana suwarakumwa-ilayhi almaseeru

خلق السماوات والارض بالحق وصوركم فاحسن صوركم واليه المصير

[YA]: He has created the heavens and the earth in just proportions, and has given you shape, and made your shapes beautiful: and to Him is the final Goal.

[RK]:He created the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose, designed you and perfected your design, then to Him is the final destiny.

YaAAlamu ma fee alssamawatiwaal-ardi wayaAAlamu ma tusirroona wamatuAAlinoona waAllahu AAaleemun bithati alssudoori

يعلم مافي السماوات والارض ويعلم ماتسرون وماتعلنون والله عليم بذات الصدور

[YA]: He knows what is in the heavens and on earth; and He knows what ye conceal and what ye reveal: yea, Allah knows well the (secrets) of (all) hearts.

[RK]:He knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and He knows everything you conceal and everything you declare. GOD is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.

Allahu allathee khalaqa sabAAasamawatin wamina al-ardi mithlahunnayatanazzalu al-amru baynahunna litaAAlamoo anna AllahaAAala kulli shay-in qadeerun waanna Allaha qad ahatabikulli shay-in AAilman

الله الذي خلق سبع سموات ومن الارض مثلهن يتنزل الامر بينهن لتعلموا ان الله علي كل شئ قدير وان الله قد احاط بكل شئ علما

[YA]: Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge.

[RK]:GOD created seven universes and the same number of earths. The commands flow among them. This is to let you know that GOD is Omnipotent, and that GOD is fully aware of all things.

Allathee khalaqa sabAAa samawatintibaqan ma tara fee khalqi alrrahmanimin tafawutin fairjiAAi albasara hal taramin futoorin

الذي خلق سبع سموات طباقا ماتري في خلق الرحمن من تفاوت فارجع البصر هل تري من فطور

[YA]: He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?

[RK]:He created seven universes in layers. You do not see any imperfection in the creation by the Most Gracious. Keep looking; do you see any flaw?

Walaqad zayyanna alssamaaalddunya bimasabeeha wajaAAalnaharujooman lilshshayateeni waaAAtadna lahumAAathaba alssaAAeeri

ولقد زينا السماء الدنيا بمصابيح وجعلناها رجوما للشياطين واعتدنا لهم عذاب السعير

[YA]: And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.

[RK]:We adorned the lowest universe with lamps, and guarded its borders with projectiles against the devils; we prepared for them a retribution in Hell.

Aamintum man fee alssama-i anyakhsifa bikumu al-arda fa-itha hiya tamooru

ءامنتم من في السماء ان يخسف بكم الارض فاذا هي تمور

[YA]: Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?

[RK]:Have you guaranteed that the One in heaven will not strike the earth and cause it to tumble?

Am amintum man fee alssama-ian yursila AAalaykum hasiban fasataAAlamoona kayfa natheeri

ام امنتم من في السماء ان يرسل عليكم حاصبا فستعلمون كيف نذير

[YA]: Or do ye feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones), so that ye shall know how (terrible) was My warning?

[RK]:Have you guaranteed that the One in heaven will not send upon you a violent storm? Will you then appreciate the value of My warning?

Wainshaqqati alssamaofahiya yawma-ithin wahiyatun

وانشقت السماء فهي يومئذ واهية

[YA]: And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy,

[RK]:The heaven will crack, and fall apart.

[YA]: The Day that the sky will be like molten brass,

[RK]:The day will come when the sky will be like molten rocks.

وانا لمسنا السماء فوجدناها ملئت حرسا شديدا وشهبا

[YA]: 'And we pried into the secrets of heaven; but we found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.

[RK]:" `We touched the heaven and found it filled with formidable guards and projectiles.

السماء منفطر به كان وعده مفعولا

[YA]: Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished.

[RK]:The heaven will shatter therefrom. His promise is true.

[YA]: (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, (Allah) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him.

[RK]:Lord of the heavens and the earth, and everything between them. The Most Gracious. No one can abrogate His decisions.
