202 | [24:23] Line:2814 |

[YA]: Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous Penalty,- [RK]:Surely, those who falsely accuse married women who are pious believers have incurred condemnation in this life and in the Hereafter; they have incurred a horrendous retribution.
203 | [24:63] Line:2854 |
| ||
[YA]: Deem not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger's order, lest some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them. [RK]:Do not treat the messenger's requests as you treat each others' requests. GOD is fully aware of those among you who sneak away using flimsy excuses. Let them beware - those who disobey his orders - for a disaster may strike them, or a severe retribution.
204 | [25:19] Line:2874 |
| ||
[YA]: (Allah will say): "Now have they proved you liars in what ye say: so ye cannot avert (your penalty) nor (get) help." And whoever among you does wrong, him shall We cause to taste of a grievous Penalty. [RK]:They have disbelieved in the message you have given them, and, consequently, you can neither protect them from the retribution they have incurred, nor can you help them in any way. Anyone among you who commits evil, we will commit him to severe retribution.
205 | [25:37] Line:2892 |
| ||
[YA]: And the people of Noah,- when they rejected the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a Sign for mankind; and We have prepared for (all) wrong-doers a grievous Penalty;- [RK]:Similarly, when the people of Noah disbelieved the messengers, we drowned them, and we set them up as a sign for the people. We have prepared for the transgressors a painful retribution.
206 | [25:42] Line:2897 |
| ||
[YA]: "He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!" - Soon will they know, when they see the Penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path! [RK]:"He almost diverted us from our gods, if it were not that we steadfastly persevered with them." They will certainly find out, when they see the retribution, who are the real strayers from the path.
207 | [25:53] Line:2908 |
| ||
[YA]: It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. [RK]:He is the One who merges the two seas; one is fresh and palatable, while the other is salty and undrinkable. And He separated them with a formidable, inviolable barrier (evaporation).
208 | [25:65] Line:2920 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who say, "Our Lord! avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,- [RK]:And they say, "Our Lord, spare us the agony of Hell; its retribution is horrendous.

| ||
[YA]: "And we are not the ones to receive Pains and Penalties!" [RK]:"No retribution will ever befall us."
213 | [26:156] Line:3088 |
| ||
[YA]: "Touch her not with harm, lest the Penalty of a Great Day seize you." [RK]:"Do not touch her with any harm, lest you incur retribution on an awesome day."
214 | [26:158] Line:3090 |
| ||
[YA]: But the Penalty seized them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. [RK]:The retribution overwhelmed them. This should be a lesson, but most people are not believers.
215 | [26:189] Line:3121 |
| ||
[YA]: But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. [RK]:They disbelieved him and, consequently, they incurred the retribution of the Day of the Canopy. It was the retribution of an awesome day.
216 | [26:189] Line:3121 |
| ||
[YA]: But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. [RK]:They disbelieved him and, consequently, they incurred the retribution of the Day of the Canopy. It was the retribution of an awesome day.
217 | [26:201] Line:3133 |
| ||
[YA]: They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; [RK]:Thus, they cannot believe in it; not until they see the painful retribution.
218 | [26:204] Line:3136 |
| ||
[YA]: Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? [RK]:Did they not challenge our retribution?
219 | [26:213] Line:3145 |
| ||
[YA]: So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. [RK]:Therefore, do not idolize beside GOD any other god, lest you incur the retribution.
220 | [27:5] Line:3164 |
| ||
[YA]: Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. [RK]:It is these who incur the worst retribution, and in the Hereafter, they will be the worst losers.

[YA]: It will be said (to them): "Call upon your 'partners' (for help)" :they will call upon them, but they will not listen to them; and they will see the Penalty (before them); (how they will wish) 'if only they had been open to guidance!' [RK]:It will be said, "Call upon your idols (to help you)." They will call upon them, but they will not respond. They will suffer the retribution, and wish that they were guided!
224 | [29:10] Line:3350 |
| ||
[YA]: Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah"; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men's oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah! And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation? [RK]:Among the people there are those who say, "We believe in GOD," but as soon as they suffer any hardship because of GOD, they equate the people's persecution with GOD's retribution. But if blessings from your Lord come your way, they say, "We were with you." Is GOD not fully aware of the people's innermost thoughts?
225 | [29:21] Line:3361 |
| ||

| ||
[YA]: "Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth." [RK]:"You practice sex with the men, you commit highway robbery, and you allow all kinds of vice in your society." The only response from his people was to say, "Bring to us GOD's retribution, if you are truthful."
228 | [29:53] Line:3393 |
| ||
[YA]: They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment (for them): had it not been for a term (of respite) appointed, the Punishment would certainly have come to them: and it will certainly reach them,- of a sudden, while they perceive not! [RK]:They challenge you to bring the retribution! If it were not for a predetermined appointment, the retribution would have come to them immediately. 232 | [30:16] Line:3425 |
| ||
[YA]: And those who have rejected Faith and falsely denied our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter,- such shall be brought forth to Punishment. [RK]:As for those who disbelieve, and reject our revelations and the meeting of the Hereafter, they will last in the retribution forever.
233 | [31:6] Line:3475 |
| ||
[YA]: But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a Humiliating Penalty.
[YA]: When Our Signs are rehearsed to such a one, he turns away in arrogance, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in both his ears: announce to him a grievous Penalty. [RK]:And when our revelations are recited to the one of them, he turns away in arrogance as if he never heard them, as if his ears are deaf. Promise him a painful retribution.
235 | [31:21] Line:3490 |
| ||
[YA]: When they are told to follow the (Revelation) that Allah has sent down, they say: "Nay, we shall follow the ways that we found our fathers (following). "What! even if it is Satan beckoning them to the Penalty of the (Blazing) Fire? [RK]:When they are told, "Follow these revelations of GOD," they say, "No, we follow only what we found our parents doing." What if the devil is leading them to the agony of Hell?
236 | [31:24] Line:3493 |
| ||
[YA]: We grant them their pleasure for a little while: in the end shall We drive them to a chastisement unrelenting. [RK]:We let them enjoy temporarily, then commit them to severe retribution.
237 | [32:14] Line:3517 |
| ||
[YA]: "Taste ye then - for ye forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours, and We too will forget you - taste ye the Penalty of Eternity for your (evil) deeds!" [RK]:Taste the consequences of your forgetting this day; now we forget you. You have incurred eternal retribution in return for your own works.
238 | [32:20] Line:3523 |
| ||
[YA]: As to those who are rebellious and wicked, their abode will be the Fire: every time they wish to get away therefrom, they will be forced thereinto, and it will be said to them: "Taste ye the Penalty of the Fire, the which ye were wont to reject as false." 239 | [32:21] Line:3524 |
| ||
[YA]: And indeed We will make them taste of the Penalty of this (life) prior to the supreme Penalty, in order that they may (repent and) return. 240 | [32:21] Line:3524 |

[YA]: And indeed We will make them taste of the Penalty of this (life) prior to the supreme Penalty, in order that they may (repent and) return. [RK]:We let them taste the smaller retribution (of this world), before they incur the greater retribution (of the Hereafter), that they may (take a hint and) reform.
241 | [33:8] Line:3541 |
| ||
[YA]: That (Allah) may question the (custodians) of Truth concerning the Truth they (were charged with): And He has prepared for the Unbelievers a grievous Penalty. [RK]:Subsequently, He will surely question the truthful about their truthfulness, and has prepared for the disbelievers (in this Quranic fact) a painful retribution.
242 | [33:24] Line:3557 |
| ||
[YA]: That Allah may reward the men of Truth for their Truth, and punish the Hypocrites if that be His Will, or turn to them in Mercy: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [RK]:GOD will surely recompense the truthful for their truthfulness, and will punish the hypocrites, if He so wills, or redeem them. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
247 | [34:3] Line:3609 |
| ||
[YA]: The Unbelievers say, "Never to us will come the Hour": Say, "Nay! but most surely, by my Lord, it will come upon you;- by Him Who knows the unseen,- from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the heavens or on earth: Nor is there anything less than that, or greater, but is in the Record Perspicuous: [RK]:Those who disbelieve have said, "The Hour will never come to pass!" Say, "Absolutely - by my Lord - it will most certainly come to you. He is the Knower of the future. Not even the equivalent of an atom's weight is hidden from Him, be it in the heavens or the earth. Not even smaller than that, or larger (is hidden). All are in a profound record."

[YA]: And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient): Its early morning (stride) was a month's (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month's (journey); and We made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked in front of him, by the leave of his Lord, and if any of them turned aside from our command, We made him taste of the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. [RK]:To Solomon we committed the wind at his disposal, traveling one month coming and one month going. And we caused a spring of oil to gush out for him. Also, the jinns worked for him, by his Lord's leave. Any one of them who disregarded our commands, we subjected him to a severe retribution.
