Waminhum man yalmizuka fee alssadaqatifa-in oAAtoo minha radoo wa-in lam yuAAtawminha itha hum yaskhatoonaومنهم من يلمزك في الصدقات فان اعطوا منها رضوا وان لم يعطوا منها اذا هم يسخطون
[YA]: And among them are men who slander thee in the matter of (the distribution of) the alms: if they are given part thereof, they are pleased, but if not, behold! they are indignant!

[RK]:Some of them criticize your distribution of the charities; if they are given therefrom, they become satisfied, but if they are not given therefrom, they become objectors.

Innama alssadaqatulilfuqara-i waalmasakeeni waalAAamileenaAAalayha waalmu-allafati quloobuhum wafee alrriqabiwaalgharimeena wafee sabeeli Allahi waibnialssabeeli fareedatan mina Allahi waAllahuAAaleemun hakeemunانما الصدقات للفقراء والمساكين والعاملين عليها والمؤلفة قلوبهم وفي الرقاب والغارمين وفي سبيل الله وابن السبيل فريضة من الله والله عليم حكيم
[YA]: Alms are for the poor and the needy, and those employed to administer the (funds); for those whose hearts have been (recently) reconciled (to Truth); for those in bondage and in debt; in the cause of Allah; and for the wayfarer: (thus is it) ordained by Allah, and Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.

[RK]:Charities shall go to the poor, the needy, the workers who collect them, the new converts, to free the slaves, to those burdened by sudden expenses, in the cause of GOD, and to the traveling alien. Such is GOD's commandment. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise.

[YA]: Amongst them are men who made a covenant with Allah, that if He bestowed on them of His bounty, they would give (largely) in charity, and be truly amongst those who are righteous.

[RK]:Some of them even pledged: "If GOD showered us with His grace, we would be charitable, and would lead a righteous life."

Allatheena yalmizoona almuttawwiAAeenamina almu/mineena fee alssadaqati waallatheenala yajidoona illa juhdahum fayaskharoona minhumsakhira Allahu minhum walahum AAathabun aleemunالذين يلمزون المطوعين من المؤمنين في الصدقات والذين لايجدون الا جهدهم فيسخرون منهم سخر الله منهم ولهم عذاب اليم
[YA]: Those who slander such of the believers as give themselves freely to (deeds of) charity, as well as such as can find nothing to give except the fruits of their labour,- and throw ridicule on them,- Allah will throw back their ridicule on them: and they shall have a grievous penalty.

[RK]:Those who criticize the generous believers for giving too much, and ridicule the poor believers for giving too little, GOD despises them. They have incurred a painful retribution.

Khuth min amwalihim sadaqatantutahhiruhum watuzakkeehim biha wasalliAAalayhim inna salataka sakanun lahum waAllahusameeAAun AAaleemunخذ من اموالهم صدقة تطهرهم وتزكيهم بها وصل عليهم ان صلاتك سكن لهم والله سميع عليم
[YA]: Of their goods, take alms, that so thou mightest purify and sanctify them; and pray on their behalf. Verily thy prayers are a source of security for them: And Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth.

[RK]:Take from their money a charity to purify them and sanctify them. And encourage them, for your encouragement reassures them. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

Alam yaAAlamoo anna Allaha huwayaqbalu alttawbata AAan AAibadihi waya/khuthualssadaqati waanna Allaha huwa alttawwabualrraheemuالم يعلموا ان الله هو يقبل التوبة عن عباده وياخذ الصدقات وان الله هو التواب الرحيم
[YA]: Know they not that Allah doth accept repentance from His votaries and receives their gifts of charity, and that Allah is verily He, the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful?

[RK]:Do they not realize that GOD accepts the repentance of His worshipers, and takes the charities, and that GOD is the Redeemer, Most Merciful?

[YA]: O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed).

[RK]:O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and be among the truthful.

Akana lilnnasi AAajabanan awhayna ila rajulin minhum an anthirialnnasa wabashshiri allatheena amanooanna lahum qadama sidqin AAinda rabbihim qala alkafiroonainna hatha lasahirun mubeenunاكان للناس عجبا ان اوحينا الي رجل منهم ان انذر الناس وبشرالذين امنوا ان لهم قدم صدق عند ربهم قال الكافرون ان هذا لساحر مبين
[YA]: Is it a matter of wonderment to men that We have sent Our inspiration to a man from among themselves?- that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the Believers that they have before their Lord the lofty rank of truth. (But) say the Unbelievers: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer!"

[RK]:Is it too much of a wonder for the people that we inspired a man like them? He (was inspired to say), "You shall warn the people, and give good news to those who believe that they have attained a position of prominence at their Lord." The disbelievers said, "This is a clever magician!"

Wama kana hatha alqur-anuan yuftara min dooni Allahi walakin tasdeeqaallathee bayna yadayhi watafseela alkitabi larayba feehi min rabbi alAAalameenaوماكان هذا القران ان يفتري من دون الله ولكن تصديق الذي بين يديه وتفصيل الكتاب لاريب فيه من رب العالمين
[YA]: This Qur'an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book - wherein there is no doubt - from the Lord of the worlds.

[RK]:This Quran could not possibly be authored by other than GOD. It confirms all previous messages, and provides a fully detailed scripture. It is infallible, for it comes from the Lord of the universe.

Am yaqooloona iftarahu qul fa/toobisooratin mithlihi waodAAoo mani istataAAtum mindooni Allahi in kuntum sadiqeenaام يقولون افتراه قل فاتوا بسورة مثله وادعوا من استطعتم من دون الله ان كنتم صادقين
[YA]: Or do they say, "He forged it"? say: "Bring then a Sura like unto it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can besides Allah, if it be ye speak the truth!"

[RK]:If they say, "He fabricated it," say, "Then produce one sura like these, and invite whomever you wish, other than GOD, if you are truthful."

[YA]: They say: "When will this promise come to pass,- if ye speak the truth?"

[RK]:They challenge: "When will this prophecy come to pass, if you are telling the truth?"

Walaqad bawwa/na banee isra-eelamubawwaa sidqin warazaqnahum mina alttayyibatifama ikhtalafoo hatta jaahumualAAilmu inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamatifeema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoonaولقد بوانا بني اسرائيل مبوا صدق ورزقناهم من الطيبات فما اختلفوا حتي جاءهم العلم ان ربك يقضي بينهم يوم القيامة فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون
[YA]: We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling-place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment.

[RK]:We have endowed the Children of Israel with a position of honor, and blessed them with good provisions. Yet, they disputed when this knowledge came to them. Your Lord will judge them on the Day of Resurrection regarding everything they disputed.

[YA]: Or they may say, "He forged it," Say, "Bring ye then ten suras forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah!- If ye speak the truth!

[RK]:If they say, "He fabricated (the Quran)," tell them, "Then produce ten suras like these, fabricated, and invite whomever you can, other than GOD, if you are truthful."

Qaloo ya noohu qad jadaltanafaaktharta jidalana fa/tina bimataAAiduna in kunta mina alssadiqeenaقالوا يانوح قد جادلتنا فاكثرت جدالنا فاتنا بما تعدنا ان كنت من الصادقين
[YA]: They said: "O Noah! thou hast disputed with us, and (much) hast thou prolonged the dispute with us: now bring upon us what thou threatenest us with, if thou speakest the truth!?"

[RK]:They said, "O Noah, you have argued with us, and kept on arguing. We challenge you to bring the doom you threaten us with, if you are truthful."

[YA]: They said: "O our father! We went racing with one another, and left Joseph with our things; and the wolf devoured him.... But thou wilt never believe us even though we tell the truth."

[RK]:They said, "Our father, we went racing with each other, leaving Joseph with our equipment, and the wolf devoured him. You will never believe us, even if we were telling the truth."

Qala hiya rawadatnee AAannafsee washahida shahidun min ahliha in kanaqameesuhu qudda min qubulin fasadaqat wahuwa minaalkathibeenaقال هي راودتني عن نفسي وشهد شاهد من اهلها ان كان قميصه قد من قبل فصدقت وهو من الكاذبين
[YA]: He said: "It was she that sought to seduce me - from my (true) self." And one of her household saw (this) and bore witness, (thus):- "If it be that his shirt is rent from the front, then is her tale true, and he is a liar!

[RK]:He said, "She is the one who tried to seduce me." A witness from her family suggested: "If his garment is torn from the front, then she is telling the truth and he is a liar.

Wa-in kana qameesuhu qudda minduburin fakathabat wahuwa mina alssadiqeenaوان كان قميصه قد من دبر فكذبت وهو من الصادقين
[YA]: "But if it be that his shirt is torn from the back, then is she the liar, and he is telling the truth!"

[RK]:"And if his garment is torn from the back, then she lied, and he is telling the truth."

Yoosufu ayyuha alssiddeequaftina fee sabAAi baqaratin simaninya/kuluhunna sabAAun AAijafun wasabAAi sunbulatinkhudrin waokhara yabisatin laAAallee arjiAAuila alnnasi laAAallahum yaAAlamoonaيوسف ايها الصديق افتنا في سبع بقرات سمان ياكلهن سبع عجاف وسبع سنبلات خضر واخر يابسات لعلي ارجع الي الناس لعلهم يعلمون
[YA]: "O Joseph!" (he said) "O man of truth! Expound to us (the dream) of seven fat kine whom seven lean ones devour, and of seven green ears of corn and (seven) others withered: that I may return to the people, and that they may understand."

[RK]:"Joseph my friend, inform us about seven fat cows being devoured by seven skinny cows, and seven green spikes, and others shriveled. I wish to go back with some information for the people."

Qala ma khatbukunna ithrawadtunna yoosufa AAan nafsihi qulna hasha lillahima AAalimna AAalayhi min soo-in qalatiimraatu alAAazeezi al-ana hashasa alhaqquana rawadtuhu AAan nafsihi wa-innahu lamina alssadiqeenaقال ماخطبكن اذ راودتن يوسف عن نفسه قلن حاش لله ماعلمنا عليه من سوء قالت امراة العزيز الان حصحص الحق انا راودته عن نفسه وانه لمن الصادقين
[YA]: (The king) said (to the ladies): "What was your affair when ye did seek to seduce Joseph from his (true) self?" The ladies said: "Allah preserve us! no evil know we against him!" Said the 'Aziz's wife: "Now is the truth manifest (to all): it was I who sought to seduce him from his (true) self: He is indeed of those who are (ever) true (and virtuous).

[RK]:(The king) said (to the women), "What do you know about the incident when you tried to seduce Joseph?" They said, "GOD forbid; we did not know of anything evil committed by him." The wife of the governor said, "Now the truth has prevailed. I am the one who tried to seduce him, and he was the truthful one.

Wais-ali alqaryata allatee kunnafeeha waalAAeera allatee aqbalna feehawa-inna lasadiqoonaوسال القرية التي كنا فيها والعير التي اقبلنا فيها وانا لصادقون
[YA]: "'Ask at the town where we have been and the caravan in which we returned, and (you will find) we are indeed telling the truth.'"

[RK]:`You may ask the community where we were, and the caravan that came back with us. We are telling the truth.' "

[YA]: Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable."

[RK]:When they entered (Joseph's) quarters, they said, "O you noble one, we have suffered a lot of hardship, along with our family, and we have brought inferior goods. But we hope that you will give us full measure and be charitable to us. GOD rewards the charitable."

[YA]: There is, in their stories, instruction for men endued with understanding. It is not a tale invented, but a confirmation of what went before it,- a detailed exposition of all things, and a guide and a mercy to any such as believe.

[RK]:In their history, there is a lesson for those who possess intelligence. This is not fabricated Hadith; this (Quran) confirms all previous scriptures, provides the details of everything, and is a beacon and mercy for those who believe.

[RK]:And say, "My Lord, admit me an honorable admittance, and let me depart an honorable departure, and grant me from You a powerful support."

[RK]:And say, "My Lord, admit me an honorable admittance, and let me depart an honorable departure, and grant me from You a powerful support."

[RK]:We showered them with our mercy, and we granted them an honorable position in history.

[RK]:And mention in the scripture Ismail. He was truthful when he made a promise, and he was a messenger prophet.

[YA]: In the end We fulfilled to them Our Promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds.

[RK]:We fulfilled our promise to them; we saved them together with whomever we willed, and annihilated the transgressors.

[YA]: And for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own,- their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the truth;

[RK]:As for those who accuse their own spouses, without any other witnesses, then the testimony may be accepted if he swears by GOD four times that he is telling the truth.

[YA]: And the fifth (oath) should be that she solemnly invokes the wrath of Allah on herself if (her accuser) is telling the truth.

[RK]:The fifth oath shall incur GOD's wrath upon her if he was telling the truth.

[YA]: It is no fault in the blind nor in one born lame, nor in one afflicted with illness, nor in yourselves, that ye should eat in your own houses, or those of your fathers, or your mothers, or your brothers, or your sisters, or your father's brothers or your father's sisters, or your mohter's brothers, or your mother's sisters, or in houses of which the keys are in your possession, or in the house of a sincere friend of yours: there is no blame on you, whether ye eat in company or separately. But if ye enter houses, salute each other - a greeting of blessing and purity as from Allah. Thus does Allah make clear the signs to you: that ye may understand.

[RK]:The blind is not to be blamed, the crippled is not to be blamed, nor is the handicapped to be blamed, just as you are not to be blamed for eating at your homes, or the homes of your fathers, or the homes of your mothers, or the homes of your brothers, or the homes of your sisters, or the homes of your fathers' brothers, or the homes of your fathers' sisters, or the homes of your mothers' brothers, or the homes of your mothers' sisters, or the homes that belong to you and you possess their keys, or the homes of your friends. You commit nothing wrong by eating together or as individuals. When you enter any home, you shall greet each other a greeting from GOD that is blessed and good. GOD thus explains the revelations for you, that you may understand.

[YA]: (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!"

[RK]:He said, "Then produce it, if you are truthful."

[YA]: They said: "Swear a mutual oath by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his people, and that we shall then say to his heir (when he seeks vengeance): 'We were not present at the slaughter of his people, and we are positively telling the truth.'"

[RK]:They said, "Let us swear by GOD that we kill him and his people, then tell his tribe, `We know nothing about their death. We are truthful.' "

Amman yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhuwaman yarzuqukum mina alssama-i waal-ardia-ilahun maAAa Allahi qul hatoo burhanakumin kuntum sadiqeenaامن يبدؤ الخلق ثم يعيده ومن يرزقكم من السماء والارض ءاله مع الله قل هاتوا برهانكم ان كنتم صادقين
[YA]: Or, Who originates creation, then repeats it, and who gives you sustenance from heaven and earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Say, "Bring forth your argument, if ye are telling the truth!"

[RK]:Who is the One who initiates the creation, then repeats it? Who is the One who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Is it another god with GOD? Say, "Show me your proof, if you are truthful."

[YA]: "And my brother Aaron - He is more eloquent in speech than I: so send him with me as a helper, to confirm (and strengthen) me: for I fear that they may accuse me of falsehood."

[RK]:"Also, my brother Aaron is more eloquent than I. Send him with me as a helper to confirm and strengthen me. I fear lest they disbelieve me."

[YA]: Say: "Then bring ye a Book from Allah, which is a better guide than either of them, that I may follow it! (do), if ye are truthful!"

[RK]:Say, "Then produce a scripture from GOD with better guidance than the two, so I can follow it, if you are truthful."

[YA]: We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false.

[RK]:We have tested those before them, for GOD must distinguish those who are truthful, and He must expose the liars.

A-innakum lata/toona alrrijalawataqtaAAoona alssabeela wata/toona fee nadeekumualmunkara fama kana jawaba qawmihi illaan qaloo i/tina biAAathabi Allahi inkunta mina alssadiqeenaائنكم لتاتون الرجال وتقطعون السبيل وتاتون في ناديكم المنكر فما كان جواب قومه الا ان قالوا ائتنا بعذاب الله ان كنت من الصادقين
[YA]: "Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth."

[RK]:"You practice sex with the men, you commit highway robbery, and you allow all kinds of vice in your society." The only response from his people was to say, "Bring to us GOD's retribution, if you are truthful."

[RK]:They challenge: "Where is that victory, if you are truthful?"
