Fakaththaboohu fanajjaynahuwaman maAAahu fee alfulki wajaAAalnahum khala-ifawaaghraqna allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinafaonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatualmunthareena

فكذبوه فنجيناه ومن معه في الفلك وجعلناهم خلائف واغرقنا الذين كذبوا باياتنا فانظر كيف كان عاقبة المنذرين

[YA]: They rejected Him, but We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark, and We made them inherit (the earth), while We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our Signs. Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not)!

[RK]:They rejected him and, consequently, we saved him and those who joined him in the ark; we made them the inheritors. And we drowned those who rejected our revelations. Note the consequences; they have been warned.

Faalyawma nunajjeeka bibadanikalitakoona liman khalfaka ayatan wa-inna katheeran mina alnnasiAAan ayatina laghafiloona

فاليوم ننجيك ببدنك لتكون لمن خلفك اية وان كثيرا من الناس عن اياتنا لغافلون

[YA]: "This day shall We save thee in the body, that thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!"

[RK]:"Today, we will preserve your body, to set you up as a lesson for future generations." Unfortunately, many people are totally oblivious to our signs.

Walaqad bawwa/na banee isra-eelamubawwaa sidqin warazaqnahum mina alttayyibatifama ikhtalafoo hatta jaahumualAAilmu inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamatifeema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoona

ولقد بوانا بني اسرائيل مبوا صدق ورزقناهم من الطيبات فما اختلفوا حتي جاءهم العلم ان ربك يقضي بينهم يوم القيامة فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون

[YA]: We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling-place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment.

[RK]:We have endowed the Children of Israel with a position of honor, and blessed them with good provisions. Yet, they disputed when this knowledge came to them. Your Lord will judge them on the Day of Resurrection regarding everything they disputed.

Fa-in tawallaw faqad ablaghtukum maorsiltu bihi ilaykum wayastakhlifu rabbee qawman ghayrakum walatadurroonahu shay-an inna rabbee AAala kullishay-in hafeethun

فان تولوا فقد ابلغتكم ماارسلت به اليكم ويستخلف ربي قوما غيركم ولاتضرونه شيئا ان ربي علي كل شئ حفيظ

[YA]: "If ye turn away,- I (at least) have conveyed the Message with which I was sent to you. My Lord will make another people to succeed you, and you will not harm Him in the least. For my Lord hath care and watch over all things."

[RK]:"If you turn away, I have delivered to you what I was sent with. My Lord will substitute other people in your place; you cannot harm Him in the least. My Lord is in control of all things."

Qala ya qawmi araaytum inkuntu AAala bayyinatin min rabbee warazaqanee minhu rizqanhasanan wama oreedu an okhalifakum ilama anhakum AAanhu in oreedu illa al-islahama istataAAtu wama tawfeeqee illa biAllahiAAalayhi tawakkaltu wa-ilayhi oneebu

قال ياقوم اريتم ان كنت علي بينة من ربي ورزقني منه رزقا حسنا ومااريد ان اخالفكم الي ماانهاكم عنه ان اريد الا الاصلاح مااستطعت وماتوفيقي الا بالله عليه توكلت واليه انيب

[YA]: He said: "O my people! see ye whether I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord, and He hath given me sustenance (pure and) good as from Himself? I wish not, in opposition to you, to do that which I forbid you to do. I only desire (your) betterment to the best of my power; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah. In Him I trust, and unto Him I look.

[RK]:He said, "O my people, what if I have solid proof from my Lord; what if He has provided me with a great blessing? It is not my wish to commit what I enjoin you from. I only wish to correct as many wrongs as I can. My guidance depends totally on GOD; I have put my trust in Him. To Him I have totally submitted.

Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba faikhtulifa feehi walawla kalimatunsabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum wa-innahum lafeeshakkin minhu mureebun

ولقد اتينا موسي الكتاب فاختلف فيه ولولا كلمة سبقت من ربك لقضي بينهم وانهم لفي شك منه مريب

[YA]: We certainly gave the Book to Moses, but differences arose therein: had it not been that a word had gone forth before from thy Lord, the matter would have been decided between them, but they are in suspicious doubt concerning it.

[RK]:We have given Moses the scripture, but it was disputed, and if it were not for a predetermined word decreed by your Lord, they would have been judged immediately. They are full of doubt about this, suspicious.

Walaw shaa rabbuka lajaAAala alnnasaommatan wahidatan wala yazaloonamukhtalifeena

ولو شاء ربك لجعل الناس امة واحدة ولايزالون مختلفين

[YA]: If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute.

[RK]:Had your Lord willed, all the people would have been one congregation (of believers). But they will always dispute (the truth).

Lahu muAAaqqibatun min bayni yadayhiwamin khalfihi yahfathoonahu min amri Allahiinna Allaha la yughayyiru ma biqawmin hattayughayyiroo ma bi-anfusihim wa-itha aradaAllahu biqawmin soo-an fala maradda lahu wamalahum min doonihi min walin

له معقبات من بين يديه ومن خلفه يحفظونه من امر الله ان الله لايغير مابقوم حتي يغيروا مابانفسهم واذا اراد الله بقوم سوءا فلا مرد له ومالهم من دونه من وال

[YA]: For each (such person) there are (angels) in succession, before and behind him: They guard him by command of Allah. Allah does not change a people's lot unless they change what is in their hearts. But when (once) Allah willeth a people's punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will they find, besides Him, any to protect.

[RK]:Shifts (of angels) take turns, staying with each one of you - they are in front of you and behind you. They stay with you, and guard you in accordance with GOD's commands. Thus, GOD does not change the condition of any people unless they themselves make the decision to change. If GOD wills any hardship for any people, no force can stop it. For they have none beside Him as Lord and Master.

Walaw anna qur-anan suyyirat bihialjibalu aw quttiAAat bihi al-ardu awkullima bihi almawta bal lillahi al-amru jameeAAanafalam yay-asi allatheena amanoo an law yashaoAllahu lahada alnnasa jameeAAan walayazalu allatheena kafaroo tuseebuhum bimasanaAAoo qariAAatun aw tahullu qareeban mindarihim hatta ya/tiya waAAdu Allahiinna Allaha la yukhlifu almeeAAada

ولو ان قرانا سيرت به الجبال او قطعت به الارض او كلم به الموتي بل لله الامر جميعا افلم يياس الذين امنوا ان لو يشاء الله لهدي الناس جميعا ولايزال الذين كفروا تصيبهم بما صنعوا قارعة او تحل قريبا من دارهم حتي ياتي وعد الله ان الله لايخلف الميعاد

[YA]: If there were a Qur'an with which mountains were moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak, (this would be the one!) But, truly, the command is with Allah in all things! Do not the Believers know, that, had Allah (so) willed, He could have guided all mankind (to the right)? But the Unbelievers,- never will disaster cease to seize them for their (ill) deeds, or to settle close to their homes, until the promise of Allah come to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise.

[RK]:Even if a Quran caused mountains to move, or the earth to tear asunder, or the dead to speak (they will not believe). GOD controls all things. Is it not time for the believers to give up and realize that if GOD willed, He could have guided all the people? The disbelievers will continue to suffer disasters, as a consequence of their own works, or have disasters strike close to them, until GOD's promise is fulfilled. GOD will never change the predetermined destiny.

Waqala alshshaytanulamma qudiya al-amru inna Allaha waAAadakumwaAAda alhaqqi wawaAAadtukum faakhlaftukum wama kanaliya AAalaykum min sultanin illa an daAAawtukum faistajabtumlee fala taloomoonee waloomoo anfusakum ma anabimusrikhikum wama antum bimusrikhiyya inneekafartu bima ashraktumooni min qablu inna alththalimeenalahum AAathabun aleemun

وقال الشيطان لما قضي الامر ان الله وعدكم وعد الحق ووعدتكم فاخلفتكم وماكان لي عليكم من سلطان الا ان دعوتكم فاستجبتم لي فلا تلوموني ولوموا انفسكم ما انا بمصرخكم وماانتم بمصرخي اني كفرت بما اشركتمون من قبل ان الظالمين لهم عذاب اليم

[YA]: And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."

[RK]:And the devil will say, after the judgment had been issued, "GOD has promised you the truthful promise, and I promised you, but I broke my promise. I had no power over you; I simply invited you, and you accepted my invitation. Therefore, do not blame me, and blame only yourselves. My complaining cannot help you, nor can your complaining help me. I have disbelieved in your idolizing me. The transgressors have incurred a painful retribution."

Fala tahsabanna Allahamukhlifa waAAdihi rusulahu inna Allaha AAazeezun thoointiqamin

فلا تحسبن الله مخلف وعده رسله ان الله عزيز ذو انتقام

[YA]: Never think that Allah would fail his messengers in His promise: for Allah is Exalted in power, - the Lord of Retribution.

[RK]:Do not think that GOD will ever break His promise to His messengers. GOD is Almighty, Avenger.

Wama tharaa lakum fee al-ardimukhtalifan alwanuhu inna fee thalika laayatanliqawmin yaththakkaroona

وماذرا لكم في الارض مختلفا الوانه ان في ذلك لاية لقوم يذكرون

[YA]: And the things on this earth which He has multiplied in varying colours (and qualities): verily in this is a sign for men who celebrate the praises of Allah (in gratitude).

[RK]:And (He created) for you on earth things of various colors. This is a (sufficient) proof for people who take heed.

Liyubayyina lahumu allatheeyakhtalifoona feehi waliyaAAlama allatheena kafarooannahum kanoo kathibeena

ليبين لهم الذي يختلفون فيه وليعلم الذين كفروا انهم كانوا كاذبين

[YA]: (They must be raised up), in order that He may manifest to them the truth of that wherein they differ, and that the rejecters of Truth may realise that they had indeed (surrendered to) Falsehood.

[RK]:He will then point out to everyone all the things they had disputed, and will let those who disbelieved know that they were liars.

Wama anzalna AAalayka alkitabailla litubayyina lahumu allathee ikhtalafoo feehiwahudan warahmatan liqawmin yu/minoona

وماانزلنا عليك الكتاب الا لتبين لهم الذي اختلفوا فيه وهدي ورحمة لقوم يؤمنون

[YA]: And We sent down the Book to thee for the express purpose, that thou shouldst make clear to them those things in which they differ, and that it should be a guide and a mercy to those who believe.

[RK]:We have revealed this scripture to you, to point out for them what they dispute, and to provide guidance and mercy for people who believe.

Thumma kulee min kulli alththamaratifaoslukee subula rabbiki thululan yakhruju min butoonihasharabun mukhtalifun alwanuhu feehi shifaonlilnnasi inna fee thalika laayatanliqawmin yatafakkaroona

ثم كلي من كل الثمرات فاسلكي سبل ربك ذللا يخرج من بطونها شراب مختلف الوانه فيه شفاء للناس ان في ذلك لاية لقوم يتفكرون

[YA]: Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought.

[RK]:Then eat from all the fruits, following the design of your Lord, precisely. From their bellies comes a drink of different colors, wherein there is healing for the people. This should be (sufficient) proof for people who reflect.

Wala takoonoo kaallatee naqadatghazlaha min baAAdi quwwatin ankathan tattakhithoonaaymanakum dakhalan baynakum an takoona ommatun hiya arbamin ommatin innama yablookumu Allahu bihiwalayubayyinanna lakum yawma alqiyamati ma kuntumfeehi takhtalifoona

ولاتكونوا كالتي نقضت غزلها من بعد قوة انكاثا تتخذون ايمانكم دخلا بينكم ان تكون امة هي اربي من امة انما يبلوكم الله به وليبينن لكم يوم القيامة ماكنتم فيه تختلفون

[YA]: And be not like a woman who breaks into untwisted strands the yarn which she has spun, after it has become strong. Nor take your oaths to practise deception between yourselves, lest one party should be more numerous than another: for Allah will test you by this; and on the Day of Judgment He will certainly make clear to you (the truth of) that wherein ye disagree.

[RK]:Do not be like the knitter who unravels her strong knitting into piles of flimsy yarn. This is your example if you abuse the oaths to take advantage of one another. Whether one group is larger than the other, GOD thus puts you to the test. He will surely show you on the Day of Resurrection everything you had disputed.

Innama juAAila alssabtu AAalaallatheena ikhtalafoo feehi wa-inna rabbaka layahkumubaynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehiyakhtalifoona

انما جعل السبت علي الذين اختلفوا فيه وان ربك ليحكم بينهم يوم القيامة فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون

[YA]: The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who disagreed (as to its observance); But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, as to their differences.

[RK]:The Sabbath was decreed only for those who ended up disputing it (Jews & Christians). Your Lord is the One who will judge them on the Day of Resurrection regarding their disputes.

Innama juAAila alssabtu AAalaallatheena ikhtalafoo feehi wa-inna rabbaka layahkumubaynahum yawma alqiyamati feema kanoo feehiyakhtalifoona

انما جعل السبت علي الذين اختلفوا فيه وان ربك ليحكم بينهم يوم القيامة فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون

Wa-in kadoo layastafizzoonaka minaal-ardi liyukhrijooka minha wa-ithan layalbathoona khilafaka illa qaleelan

وان كادوا ليستفزونك من الارض ليخرجوك منها واذا لايلبثون خلافك الا قليلا

[YA]: Their purpose was to scare thee off the land, in order to expel thee; but in that case they would not have stayed (therein) after thee, except for a little while.

[RK]:They almost banished you from the land to get rid of you, so they could revert as soon as you left.

Faikhtalafa al-ahzabumin baynihim fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min mashhadiyawmin AAatheemin

فاختلف الاحزاب من بينهم فويل للذين كفروا من مشهد يوم عظيم

[YA]: But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day!

[RK]:The various parties disputed among themselves (regarding the identity of Jesus). Therefore, woe to those who disbelieve from the sight of a terrible day.

Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun adaAAooalssalata waittabaAAoo alshshahawatifasawfa yalqawna ghayyan

فخلف من بعدهم خلف اضاعوا الصلاة واتبعوا الشهوات فسوف يلقون غيا

[YA]: But after them there followed a posterity who missed prayers and followed after lusts soon, then, will they face Destruction,-

[RK]:After them, He substituted generations who lost the Contact Prayers (Salat), and pursued their lusts. They will suffer the consequences.

Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun adaAAooalssalata waittabaAAoo alshshahawatifasawfa yalqawna ghayyan

فخلف من بعدهم خلف اضاعوا الصلاة واتبعوا الشهوات فسوف يلقون غيا

Wama natanazzalu illa bi-amrirabbika lahu ma bayna aydeena wama khalfanawama bayna thalika wama kana rabbukanasiyyan

ومانتنزل الا بامر ربك له مابين ايدينا وماخلفنا ومابين ذلك وماكان ربك نسيا

[YA]: (The angels say:) "We descend not but by command of thy Lord: to Him belongeth what is before us and what is behind us, and what is between: and thy Lord never doth forget,-

[RK]:We do not come down except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs our past, our future, and everything between them. Your Lord is never forgetful.

Falana/tiyannaka bisihrin mithlihi faijAAalbaynana wabaynaka mawAAidan la nukhlifuhu nahnuwala anta makanan suwan

فلناتينك بسحر مثله فاجعل بيننا وبينك موعدا لانخلفه نحن ولاانت مكانا سوي

[YA]: "But we can surely produce magic to match thine! So make a tryst between us and thee, which we shall not fail to keep - neither we nor thou - in a place where both shall have even chances."

[RK]:"We will surely show you similar magic. Therefore, set an appointment that neither we, nor you will violate; in a neutral place."

Qala amantum lahu qabla an athanalakum innahu lakabeerukumu allathee AAallamakumu alssihrafalaoqattiAAanna aydiyakum waarjulakum min khilafinwalaosallibannakum fee juthooAAi alnnakhliwalataAAlamunna ayyuna ashaddu AAathaban waabqa

قال امنتم له قبل ان اذن لكم انه لكبيركم الذي علمكم السحر فلاقطعن ايديكم وارجلكم من خلاف ولاصلبنكم في جذوع النخل ولتعلمن اينا اشد عذابا وابقي

[YA]: (Pharaoh) said: "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this must be your leader, who has taught you magic! be sure I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will have you crucified on trunks of palm-trees: so shall ye know for certain, which of us can give the more severe and the more lasting punishment!"

[RK]:He said, "Did you believe in him without my permission? He must be your chief; the one who taught you magic. I will surely sever your hands and feet on alternate sides. I will crucify you on the palm trunks. You will find out which of us can inflict the worst retribution, and who outlasts whom."

FarajaAAa moosa ila qawmihighadbana asifan qala ya qawmi alamyaAAidkum rabbukum waAAdan hasanan afatalaAAalaykumu alAAahdu am aradtum an yahilla AAalaykum ghadabunmin rabbikum faakhlaftum mawAAidee

فرجع موسي الي قومه غضبان اسفا قال ياقوم الم يعدكم ربكم وعدا حسنا افطال عليكم العهد ام اردتم ان يحل عليكم غضب من ربكم فاخلفتم موعدي

[YA]: So Moses returned to his people in a state of indignation and sorrow. He said: "O my people! did not your Lord make a handsome promise to you? Did then the promise seem to you long (in coming)? Or did ye desire that Wrath should descend from your Lord on you, and so ye broke your promise to me?"

[RK]:Moses returned to his people, angry and disappointed, saying, "O my people, did your Lord not promise you a good promise? Could you not wait? Did you want to incur wrath from your Lord? Is this why you broke your agreement with me?"

Qaloo ma akhlafnamawAAidaka bimalkina walakinna hummilnaawzaran min zeenati alqawmi faqathafnahafakathalika alqa alssamiriyyu

قالوا مااخلفنا موعدك بملكنا ولكنا حملنا اوزارا من زينة القوم فقذفناها فكذلك القي السامري

[YA]: They said: "We broke not the promise to thee, as far as lay in our power: but we were made to carry the weight of the ornaments of the (whole) people, and we threw them (into the fire), and that was what the Samiri suggested.

[RK]:They said, "We did not break our agreement with you on purpose. But we were loaded down with jewelry, and decided to throw our loads in. This is what the Samarian suggested."

Qala faithhab fa-innalaka fee alhayati an taqoola la misasawa-inna laka mawAAidan lan tukhlafahu waonthurila ilahika allathee thaltaAAalayhi AAakifan lanuharriqannahu thummalanansifannahu fee alyammi nasfan

قال فاذهب فان لك في الحياة ان تقول لامساس وان لك موعدا لن تخلفه وانظر الي الهك الذي ظلت عليه عاكفا لنحرقنه ثم لننسفنه في اليم نسفا

[YA]: (Moses) said: "Get thee gone! but thy (punishment) in this life will be that thou wilt say, 'touch me not'; and moreover (for a future penalty) thou hast a promise that will not fail: Now look at thy god, of whom thou hast become a devoted worshipper: We will certainly (melt) it in a blazing fire and scatter it broadcast in the sea!"

[RK]:He said, "Then go, and, throughout your life, do not even come close. You have an appointed time (for your final judgment) that you can never evade. Look at your god that you used to worship; we will burn it and throw it into the sea, to stay down there forever."

YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wamakhalfahum wala yuheetoona bihi AAilman

يعلم مابين ايديهم وماخلفهم ولايحيطون به علما

[YA]: He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them: but they shall not compass it with their knowledge.

[RK]:He knows their past and their future, while none encompasses His knowledge.

YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wamakhalfahum wala yashfaAAoona illa limani irtadawahum min khashyatihi mushfiqoona

يعلم مابين ايديهم وماخلفهم ولايشفعون الا لمن ارتضي وهم من خشيته مشفقون

[YA]: He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in awe and reverence of His (Glory).

[RK]:He knows their future and their past. They do not intercede, except for those already accepted by Him, and they are worried about their own necks.

WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabiwalan yukhlifa Allahu waAAdahu wa-inna yawman AAindarabbika kaalfi sanatin mimma taAAuddoona

ويستعجلونك بالعذاب ولن يخلف الله وعده وان يوما عند ربك كالف سنة مما تعدون

[YA]: Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But Allah will not fail in His Promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.

[RK]:They challenge you to bring retribution, and GOD never fails to fulfill His prophecy. A day of your Lord is like a thousand of your years.

Allahu yahkumu baynakum yawmaalqiyamati feema kuntum feehi takhtalifoona

الله يحكم بينكم يوم القيامة فيما كنتم فيه تختلفون

[YA]: "Allah will judge between you on the Day of Judgment concerning the matters in which ye differ."

[RK]:GOD will judge among you on the Day of Resurrection regarding all your disputes.

YaAAlamu ma bayna aydeehim wamakhalfahum wa-ila Allahi turjaAAu al-omooru

يعلم مابين ايديهم وماخلفهم والي الله ترجع الامور

[YA]: He knows what is before them and what is behind them: and to Allah go back all questions (for decision).

[RK]:He knows their past and their future. To GOD belongs the ultimate control of all matters.

Wahuwa allathee yuhyeewayumeetu walahu ikhtilafu allayli waalnnahariafala taAAqiloona

وهو الذي يحيي ويميت وله اختلاف الليل والنهار افلا تعقلون

[YA]: It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand?

[RK]:He is the One who controls life and death, and He is the One who alternates the night and day. Do you not understand?

WaAAada Allahu allatheena amanoominkum waAAamiloo alssalihatilayastakhlifannahum fee al-ardi kama istakhlafaallatheena min qablihim walayumakkinanna lahum deenahumuallathee irtada lahum walayubaddilannahum minbaAAdi khawfihim amnan yaAAbudoonanee la yushrikoona beeshay-an waman kafara baAAda thalika faola-ika humualfasiqoona

وعد الله الذين امنوا منكم وعملوا الصالحات ليستخلفنهم في الارض كما استخلف الذين من قبلهم وليمكنن لهم دينهم الذي ارتضي لهم وليبدلنهم من بعد خوفهم امنا يعبدونني لايشركون بي شيئا ومن كفر بعد ذلك فاولئك هم الفاسقون

[YA]: Allah has promised, to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds, that He will, of a surety, grant them in the land, inheritance (of power), as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion - the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state), after the fear in which they (lived), to one of security and peace: 'They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me. 'If any do reject Faith after this, they are rebellious and wicked.

[RK]:GOD promises those among you who believe and lead a righteous life, that He will make them sovereigns on earth, as He did for those before them, and will establish for them the religion He has chosen for them, and will substitute peace and security for them in place of fear. All this because they worship Me alone; they never set up any idols beside Me. Those who disbelieve after this are the truly wicked.

لاتجعلوا دعاء الرسول بينكم كدعاء بعضكم بعضا قد يعلم الله الذين يتسللون منكم لواذا فليحذر الذين يخالفون عن امره ان تصيبهم فتنة او يصيبهم عذاب اليم

[YA]: Deem not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger's order, lest some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them.

[RK]:Do not treat the messenger's requests as you treat each others' requests. GOD is fully aware of those among you who sneak away using flimsy excuses. Let them beware - those who disobey his orders - for a disaster may strike them, or a severe retribution.

وهو الذي جعل الليل والنهار خلفة لمن اراد ان يذكر او اراد شكورا

[YA]: And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude.

[RK]:He is the One who designed the night and the day to alternate: a sufficient proof for those who wish to take heed, or to be appreciative.

قال امنتم له قبل ان اذن لكم انه لكبيركم الذي علمكم السحر فلسوف تعلمون لاقطعن ايديكم وارجلكم من خلاف ولاصلبنكم اجمعين

[YA]: Said (Pharaoh): "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? surely he is your leader, who has taught you sorcery! but soon shall ye know! Be sure I will cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will cause you all to die on the cross!"

[RK]:He said, "Did you believe with him before I give you permission? He must be your teacher, who taught you magic. You will surely find out. I will sever your hands and feet on alternate sides. I will crucify you all."

Amman yujeebu almudtarra ithadaAAahu wayakshifu alssoo-a wayajAAalukum khulafaaal-ardi a-ilahun maAAa Allahi qaleelan matathakkaroona

امن يجيب المضطر اذا دعاه ويكشف السوء ويجعلكم خلفاء الارض ءاله مع الله قليلا ماتذكرون

[YA]: Or, Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Little it is that ye heed!

[RK]:Who is the One who rescues those who become desperate and call upon Him, relieves adversity, and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is it another god with GOD? Rarely do you take heed.

ان هذا القران يقص علي بني اسرائيل اكثر الذي هم فيه يختلفون

[YA]: Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree.

[RK]:This Quran settles many issues for the Children of Israel; issues that they are still disputing.

وعد الله لايخلف الله وعده ولكن اكثر الناس لايعلمون

[YA]: (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not.

[RK]:Such is GOD's promise - and GOD never breaks His promise - but most people do not know.

ومن اياته خلق السماوات والارض واختلاف السنتكم والوانكم ان في ذلك لايات للعالمين

[YA]: And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know.

[RK]:Among His proofs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colors. In these, there are signs for the knowledgeable.

ان ربك هو يفصل بينهم يوم القيامة فيما كانوا فيه يختلفون

[YA]: Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, in the matters wherein they differ (among themselves)

[RK]:Your Lord is the One who will judge them on the Day of Resurrection, regarding everything they disputed.

Afalam yaraw ila ma baynaaydeehim wama khalfahum mina alssama-i waal-ardiin nasha/ nakhsif bihimu al-arda aw nusqitAAalayhim kisafan mina alssama-i inna fee thalikalaayatan likulli AAabdin muneebin

افلم يروا الي مابين ايديهم وماخلفهم من السماء والارض ان نشا نخسف بهم الارض او نسقط عليهم كسفا من السماء ان في ذلك لاية لكل عبد منيب

[YA]: See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance).

[RK]:Have they not seen all the things in front of them and behind them, in the heaven and the earth? If we willed, we could have caused the earth to swallow them, or caused masses to fall on them from the sky. This should be a sufficient proof for every obedient servant.

Qul inna rabbee yabsutu alrrizqaliman yashao min AAibadihi wayaqdiru lahu wamaanfaqtum min shay-in fahuwa yukhlifuhu wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena

قل ان ربي يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء من عباده ويقدر له وماانفقتم من شئ فهو يخلفه وهو خير الرازقين

[YA]: Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of his servants as He pleases: and nothing do ye spend in the least (in His cause) but He replaces it: for He is the Best of those who grant Sustenance.

[RK]:Say, "My Lord is the One who controls all provisions; He increases the provisions for whomever He chooses from among His servants, or reduces them. Anything you spend (in the cause of God), He will reward you for it; He is the Best Provider."

Alam tara anna Allaha anzala mina alssama-imaan faakhrajna bihi thamaratin mukhtalifanalwanuha wamina aljibali judadun beedunwahumrun mukhtalifun alwanuha wagharabeebusoodun

الم تر ان الله انزل من السماء ماء فاخرجنا به ثمرات مختلفا الوانها ومن الجبال جدد بيض وحمر مختلف الوانها وغرابيب سود

[YA]: Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky? With it We then bring out produce of various colours. And in the mountains are tracts white and red, of various shades of colour, and black intense in hue.

[RK]:Do you not realize that GOD sends down from the sky water, whereby we produce fruits of various colors? Even the mountains have different colors; the peaks are white, or red, or some other color. And the ravens are black.

ومن الناس والدواب والانعام مختلف الوانه كذلك انما يخشي الله من عباده العلماء ان الله عزيز غفور

[YA]: And so amongst men and crawling creatures and cattle, are they of various colours. Those truly fear Allah, among His Servants, who have knowledge: for Allah is Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.

[RK]:Also, the people, the animals, and the livestock come in various colors. This is why the people who truly reverence GOD are those who are knowledgeable. GOD is Almighty, Forgiving.
