[YA]: Those who believe, and work righteousness,- their Lord will guide them because of their faith: beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss.

[RK]:As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, their Lord guides them, by virtue of their belief. Rivers will flow beneath them in the gardens of bliss.

[YA]: To those who do right is a goodly (reward)- Yea, more (than in measure)! No darkness nor shame shall cover their faces! they are companions of the garden; they will abide therein (for aye)!

[RK]:For the righteous, the reward will be multiplied manifold. Their faces will never experience any deprivation or shame. These are the dwellers of Paradise; they abide therein forever.

[YA]: And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break.

[RK]:As for the fortunate ones, they will be in Paradise. Eternally they abide therein, for as long as the heavens and the earth endure, in accordance with the will of your Lord - an everlasting reward.

[YA]: Except those on whom thy Lord hath bestowed His Mercy: and for this did He create them: and the Word of thy Lord shall be fulfilled: "I will fill Hell with jinns and men all together."

[RK]:Only those blessed with mercy from your Lord (will not dispute the truth). This is why He created them. The judgment of your Lord has already been issued: "I will fill Hell with jinns and humans, all together."

[YA]: And in the earth are tracts (diverse though) neighbouring, and gardens of vines and fields sown with corn, and palm trees - growing out of single roots or otherwise: watered with the same water, yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat. Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who understand!

[RK]:On earth, there are adjacent lots that produce orchards of grapes, crops, palm trees - dioecious and non-dioecious. Although they are irrigated with the same water, we prefer some of them over others in eating. These are solid proofs for people who understand.

[YA]: Gardens of perpetual bliss: they shall enter there, as well as the righteous among their fathers, their spouses, and their offspring: and angels shall enter unto them from every gate (with the salutation):

[RK]:They enter the gardens of Eden, together with the righteous among their parents, their spouses, and their children. The angels will enter in to them from every door.

[YA]: The parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised!- beneath it flow rivers: perpetual is the enjoyment thereof and the shade therein: such is the end of the Righteous; and the end of Unbelievers in the Fire.

[RK]:The allegory of Heaven, which is promised for the righteous, is flowing streams, inexhaustible provisions, and cool shade. Such is the destiny for those who observe righteousness, while the destiny for the disbelievers is Hell.

[YA]: But those who believe and work righteousness will be admitted to gardens beneath which rivers flow,- to dwell therein for aye with the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be: "Peace!"

[RK]:As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, they will be admitted into gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever, in accordance with the will of their Lord. Their greeting therein is: "Peace."

[YA]: Gardens of Eternity which they will enter: beneath them flow (pleasant) rivers: they will have therein all that they wish: thus doth Allah reward the righteous,-

[RK]:The gardens of Eden are reserved for them, wherein rivers flow. They have anything they wish therein. GOD thus rewards the righteous.

[YA]: (Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of purity, saying (to them), "Peace be on you; enter ye the Garden, because of (the good) which ye did (in the world)."

[RK]:The angels terminate their lives in a state of righteousness, saying, "Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise (now) as a reward for your works."

Qul la-ini ijtamaAAati al-insu waaljinnuAAala an ya/too bimithli hatha alqur-ani laya/toona bimithlihi walaw kana baAAduhum libaAAdinthaheeranقل لئن اجتمعت الانس والجن علي ان ياتوا بمثل هذا القران لاياتون بمثله ولو كان بعضهم لبعض ظهيرا
[YA]: Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.

[RK]:Say, "If all the humans and all the jinns banded together in order to produce a Quran like this, they could never produce anything like it, no matter how much assistance they lent one another."

[YA]: "Or (until) thou have a garden of date trees and vines, and cause rivers to gush forth in their midst, carrying abundant water;

[RK]:"Or unless you own a garden of date palms and grapes, with rivers running through it.

[YA]: For them will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers will flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade: They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to recline on!

[RK]:They have deserved gardens of Eden wherein rivers flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and will wear clothes of green silk and velvet, and will rest on comfortable furnishings. What a wonderful reward; what a wonderful abode!

[YA]: Set forth to them the parable of two men: for one of them We provided two gardens of grape-vines and surrounded them with date palms; in between the two We placed corn-fields.

[RK]:Cite for them the example of two men: we gave one of them two gardens of grapes, surrounded by date palms, and placed other crops between them.

Kilta aljannatayni atat okulahawalam tathlim minhu shay-an wafajjarna khilalahumanaharanكلتا الجنتين اتت اكلها ولم تظلم منه شيئا وفجرنا خلالهما نهرا
[YA]: Each of those gardens brought forth its produce, and failed not in the least therein: in the midst of them We caused a river to flow.

[RK]:Both gardens produced their crops on time, and generously, for we caused a river to run through them.

[YA]: He went into his garden in a state (of mind) unjust to his soul: He said, "I deem not that this will ever perish,

[RK]:When he entered his garden, he wronged his soul by saying, "I do not think that this will ever end.

[YA]: "Why didst thou not, as thou wentest into thy garden, say: 'Allah's will (be done)! There is no power but with Allah!' If thou dost see me less than thee in wealth and sons,

[RK]:"When you entered your garden, you should have said, `This is what GOD has given me (Maa Shaa Allah). No one possesses power except GOD (La Quwwata Ellaa Bellaah).' You may see that I possess less money and less children than you.

[YA]: "It may be that my Lord will give me something better than thy garden, and that He will send on thy garden thunderbolts (by way of reckoning) from heaven, making it (but) slippery sand!-

[RK]:"My Lord may grant me better than your garden. He may send a violent storm from the sky that wipes out your garden, leaving it completely barren.

Wa-ith qulna lilmala-ikatiosjudoo li-adama fasajadoo illa ibleesa kanamina aljinni fafasaqa AAan amri rabbihi afatattakhithoonahuwathurriyyatahu awliyaa min doonee wahum lakumAAaduwwun bi/sa lilththalimeena badalanواذ قلنا للملائكة اسجدوا لادم فسجدوا الا ابليس كان من الجن ففسق عن امر ربه افتتخذونه وذريته اولياء من دوني وهم لكم عدو بئس للظالمين بدلا
[YA]: Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!

[RK]:We said to the angels, "Fall prostrate before Adam." They fell prostrate, except Satan. He became a jinn, for he disobeyed the order of His Lord. Will you choose him and his descendants as lords instead of Me, even though they are your enemies? What a miserable substitute!

[YA]: As to those who believe and work righteous deeds, they have, for their entertainment, the Gardens of Paradise,

[RK]:As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, they have deserved a blissful Paradise as their abode.

[YA]: "And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.

[RK]:"If you shake the trunk of this palm tree, it will drop ripe dates for you.

Illa man taba waamanawaAAamila salihan faola-ika yadkhuloonaaljannata wala yuthlamoona shay-anالا من تاب وامن وعمل صالحا فاولئك يدخلون الجنة ولايظلمون شيئا
[YA]: Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least,-

[RK]:Only those who repent, believe, and lead a righteous life will enter Paradise, without the least injustice.

[YA]: Gardens of Eternity, those which (Allah) Most Gracious has promised to His servants in the Unseen: for His promise must (necessarily) come to pass.

[RK]:The gardens of Eden await them, as promised by the Most Gracious for those who worship Him, even in privacy. Certainly, His promise must come to pass.

[YA]: Such is the Garden which We give as an inheritance to those of Our servants who guard against Evil.

[RK]:Such is Paradise; we grant it to those among our servants who are righteous.

[YA]: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which flow rivers: they will dwell therein for aye: such is the reward of those who purify themselves (from evil).

[RK]:The gardens of Eden, beneath which rivers flow, will be their abode forever. Such is the reward for those who purify themselves.

[RK]:We then said, "O Adam, this is an enemy of you and your wife. Do not let him evict you from Paradise, lest you become miserable.

[YA]: In the result, they both ate of the tree, and so their nakedness appeared to them: they began to sew together, for their covering, leaves from the Garden: thus did Adam disobey his Lord, and allow himself to be seduced.

[RK]:They ate from it, whereupon their bodies became visible to them, and they tried to cover themselves with the leaves of Paradise. Adam thus disobeyed his Lord, and fell.

[YA]: Verily Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to Gardens, beneath which rivers flow: for Allah carries out all that He plans.

[RK]:GOD admits those who believe and lead a righteous life into gardens with flowing streams. Everything is in accordance with GOD's will.

[YA]: Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow: they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk.

[RK]:GOD will admit those who believe and lead a righteous life into gardens with flowing streams. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.

[YA]: On that Day of Dominion will be that of Allah: He will judge between them: so those who believe and work righteous deeds will be in Gardens of Delight.

[RK]:All sovereignty on that day belongs to GOD, and He will judge among them. As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, they have deserved the gardens of bliss.

[RK]:With it, we produce for you orchards of date palms, grapes, all kinds of fruits, and various foods.

[YA]: Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth.

[RK]:Have they decided that he is crazy? Indeed, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them hate the truth.

Aw yulqa ilayhi kanzun aw takoonu lahujannatun ya/kulu minha waqala alththalimoonain tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooranاو يلقي اليه كنز اوتكون له جنة ياكل منها وقال الظالمون ان تتبعون الا رجلا مسحورا
[YA]: "Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched."

[RK]:Or, "If only a treasure could be given to him!" Or, "If only he could possess an orchard from which he eats!" The transgressors also said, "You are following a bewitched man."

[YA]: Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in).

[RK]:Most blessed is the One who can, if He wills, give you much better than their demands - gardens with flowing streams, and many mansions.

[YA]: Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment).

[RK]:Say, "Is this better or the eternal Paradise that is promised for the righteous? It is their well deserved reward; a well deserved destiny."

[YA]: The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose.

[RK]:The dwellers of Paradise are far better on that day; they will hear better news.

Waalqi AAasaka falamma raahatahtazzu kaannaha jannun walla mudbiranwalam yuAAaqqib ya moosa la takhaf innee layakhafu ladayya almursaloonaوالق عصاك فلما راها تهتز كانها جان ولي مدبرا ولم يعقب ياموسي لاتخف اني لايخاف لدي المرسلون
[YA]: "Now do thou throw thy rod!" But when he saw it moving (of its own accord)as if it had been a snake, he turned back in retreat, and retraced not his steps: "O Moses!" (it was said), "Fear not: truly, in My presence, those called as messengers have no fear,-

[RK]:"Throw down your staff." When he saw it moving like a demon, he turned around and fled. "O Moses, do not be afraid. My messengers shall not fear.

[YA]: And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks.

[RK]:Mobilized in the service of Solomon were his obedient soldiers of jinns and humans, as well as the birds; all at his disposal.

Qala AAifreetun mina aljinni anaateeka bihi qabla an taqooma min maqamika wa-inneAAalayhi laqawiyyun ameenunقال عفريت من الجن انا اتيك به قبل ان تقوم من مقامك واني عليه لقوي امين
[YA]: Said an 'Ifrit, of the Jinns: "I will bring it to thee before thou rise from thy council: indeed I have full strength for the purpose, and may be trusted."

[RK]:One afrit from the jinns said, "I can bring it to you before you stand up. I am powerful enough to do this."
