[YA]: "No intercession can avail in His Presence, except for those for whom He has granted permission. So far (is this the case) that, when terror is removed from their hearts (at the Day of Judgment, then) will they say, 'what is it that your Lord commanded?' they will say, 'That which is true and just; and He is the Most High Most Great'." [RK]:Intercession with Him will be in vain, unless it coincides with His will. When their minds are finally settled down, and they ask, "What did your Lord say," they will say, "The truth." He is the Most High, the Most Great.

[YA]: The arrogant ones will say to those who had been despised: "Was it we who kept you back from Guidance after it reached you? Nay, rather, it was ye who transgressed. [YA]: But those who reject (Allah) - for them will be the Fire of Hell: No term shall be determined for them, so they should die, nor shall its Penalty be lightened for them. Thus do We reward every ungrateful one! [RK]:As for those who disbelieve, they have incurred the fire of Hell, where they are never finished by death, nor is the retribution ever commuted for them. We thus requite the unappreciative.
306 | [36:23] Line:3728 |

[YA]: "Shall I take (other) gods besides Him? If (Allah) Most Gracious should intend some adversity for me, of no use whatever will be their intercession for me, nor can they deliver me. [RK]:"Shall I set up beside Him gods? If the Most Gracious willed any harm for me, their intercession cannot help me one bit, nor can they rescue me.
307 | [36:46] Line:3751 |

[YA]: Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. [RK]:No matter what kind of proof is given to them from their Lord, they consistently disregard it.
308 | [37:28] Line:3816 |
| ||
[YA]: They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" [RK]:They will say (to their leaders), "You used to come to us from the right side."

[YA]: O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men in truth (and justice): Nor follow thou the lusts (of thy heart), for they will mislead thee from the Path of Allah: for those who wander astray from the Path of Allah, is a Penalty Grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account. [RK]:O David, we have made you a ruler on earth. Therefore, you shall judge among the people equitably, and do not follow your personal opinion, lest it diverts you from the way of GOD. Surely, those who stray off the way of GOD incur severe retribution for forgetting the Day of Reckoning.

[YA]: And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): [RK]:He then said, "I enjoyed the material things more than I enjoyed worshipping my Lord, until the sun was gone.
316 | [38:63] Line:4033 |

[YA]: "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" [RK]:"We used to ridicule them; we used to turn our eyes away from them."

[YA]: If ye reject (Allah), Truly Allah hath no need of you; but He liketh not ingratitude from His servants: if ye are grateful, He is pleased with you. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. In the end, to your Lord is your Return, when He will tell you the truth of all that ye did (in this life). for He knoweth well all that is in (men's) hearts. [RK]:If you disbelieve, GOD does not need anyone. But He dislikes to see His servants make the wrong decision. If you decide to be appreciative, He is pleased for you. No soul bears the sins of any other soul. Ultimately, to your Lord is your return, then He will inform you of everything you had done. He is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.
319 | [39:8] Line:4066 |
| ||
[YA]: When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!" [RK]:When the human being is afflicted, he implores his Lord, sincerely devoted to Him. But as soon as He blesses him, he forgets his previous imploring, sets up idols to rank with GOD and to divert others from His path. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief temporarily; you have incurred the hellfire."
320 | [39:35] Line:4093 |
| ||
[YA]: So that Allah will turn off from them (even) the worst in their deeds and give them their reward according to the best of what they have done. [RK]:GOD remits their sinful works, and rewards them generously for their good works.

| ||
[YA]: Thus did the (generations) before them say! But all that they did was of no profit to them. [RK]:Those before them have uttered the same thing, and their earnings did not help them in the least.

| ||
[YA]: "The ways and means of (reaching) the heavens, and that I may mount up to the god of Moses: But as far as I am concerned, I think (Moses) is a liar!" Thus was made alluring, in Pharaoh's eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the Path; and the plot of Pharaoh led to nothing but perdition (for him). [RK]:"I want to reach the heaven, and take a look at the god of Moses. I believe he is a liar." Thus were the evil works of Pharaoh adorned in his eyes, and thus was he kept from following (the right) path. Pharaoh's scheming was truly evil.
323 | [40:47] Line:4180 |
| ||
[YA]: Behold, they will dispute with each other in the Fire! The weak ones (who followed) will say to those who had been arrogant, "We but followed you: Can ye then take (on yourselves) from us some share of the Fire? [RK]:As they argue in Hell, the followers will say to their leaders, "We used to be your followers, can you spare us any part of this Hell?"
324 | [40:49] Line:4182 |
| ||
[YA]: Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!" [RK]:Those in the hellfire will say to the guardians of Hell, "Call upon your Lord to reduce the retribution for us, for even one day."
325 | [40:60] Line:4193 |
| ||
[YA]: And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!" [RK]:Your Lord says, "Implore Me, and I will respond to you. Surely, those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Gehenna, forcibly."
326 | [40:74] Line:4207 |
| ||
[YA]: "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. [RK]:"beside GOD?" They will say, "They have abandoned us. In fact, when we worshipped them, we were worshipping nothing." Thus does GOD send the disbelievers astray.
327 | [40:82] Line:4215 |
| ||
[YA]: Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were more numerous than these and superior in strength and in the traces (they have left) in the land: Yet all that they accomplished was of no profit to them. [RK]:Have they not roamed the earth and noted the consequences for those who preceded them? They used to be greater in number, greater in power, and possessed a greater legacy on earth. Yet, all their achievements did not help them in the least.
328 | [41:48] Line:4266 |
| ||
[YA]: The (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape. [RK]:The idols they had idolized will disown them, and they will realize that there will be no escape.
329 | [42:25] Line:4297 |
| ||
[YA]: He is the One that accepts repentance from His Servants and forgives sins: and He knows all that ye do. [RK]:He is the One who accepts the repentance from His servants, and remits the sins. He is fully aware of everything you do.
330 | [42:25] Line:4297 |
| ||
[YA]: He is the One that accepts repentance from His Servants and forgives sins: and He knows all that ye do. [RK]:He is the One who accepts the repentance from His servants, and remits the sins. He is fully aware of everything you do.
331 | [42:30] Line:4302 |
| ||
[YA]: Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness. [RK]:Anything bad that happens to you is a consequence of your own deeds, and He overlooks many (of your sins).
332 | [42:34] Line:4306 |
| ||
[YA]: Or He can cause them to perish because of the (evil) which (the men) have earned; but much doth He forgive. [RK]:He can annihilate them, as a consequence of their own works. Instead, He overlooks many (of their sins).
333 | [43:5] Line:4330 |
| ||
[YA]: Shall We then take away the Message from you and repel (you), for that ye are a people transgressing beyond bounds? [RK]:Should we just ignore the fact that you have transgressed the limits?
334 | [43:36] Line:4361 |
| ||
[YA]: If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to him. [RK]:Anyone who disregards the message of the Most Gracious, we appoint a devil to be his constant companion.
335 | [43:37] Line:4362 |
| ||
[YA]: Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright! [RK]:Such companions will divert them from the path, yet make them believe that they are guided.
336 | [43:50] Line:4375 |
| ||
[YA]: But when We removed the Penalty from them, behold, they broke their word. [RK]:But as soon as we relieved their affliction, they reverted.
337 | [43:75] Line:4400 |
| ||
[YA]: Nowise will the (Punishment) be lightened for them, and in despair will they be there overwhelmed. [RK]:Never will the retribution be commuted for them; they will be confined therein.
338 | [43:89] Line:4414 |
| ||
[YA]: But turn away from them, and say "Peace!" But soon shall they know! [RK]:You shall disregard them and say, "Peace;" they will surely find out.
339 | [44:12] Line:4426 |
| ||
[YA]: (They will say:) "Our Lord! remove the Penalty from us, for we do really believe!" [RK]:"Our Lord, relieve this retribution for us; we are believers."
340 | [44:14] Line:4428 |
| ||
[YA]: Yet they turn away from him and say: "Tutored (by others), a man possessed!" [RK]:But they turned away from him, saying, "Well educated, but crazy!"
341 | [44:41] Line:4455 |
| ||
[YA]: The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, [RK]:That is the day when no friend can help his friend in any way; no one can be helped.
342 | [45:10] Line:4483 |
| ||
[YA]: In front of them is Hell: and of no profit to them is anything they may have earned, nor any protectors they may have taken to themselves besides Allah: for them is a tremendous Penalty. [RK]:Awaiting them is Gehenna. Their earnings will not help them, nor the idols they had set up beside GOD. They have incurred a terrible retribution.
343 | [45:19] Line:4492 |
| ||
[YA]: They will be of no use to thee in the sight of Allah: it is only Wrong-doers (that stand as) protectors, one to another: but Allah is the Protector of the Righteous. [RK]:They cannot help you at all against GOD. It is the transgressors who ally themselves with one another, while GOD is the Lord of the righteous.
344 | [46:5] Line:4515 |
| ||
[YA]: And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allah, such as will not answer him to the Day of Judgment, and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call (to them)? [RK]:Who is farther astray than those who idolize beside GOD idols that can never respond to them until the Day of Resurrection, and are totally unaware of their worship?
345 | [46:16] Line:4526 |
| ||
[YA]: Such are they from whom We shall accept the best of their deeds and pass by their ill deeds: (They shall be) among the Companions of the Garden: a promise! of truth, which was made to them (in this life). [RK]:It is from these that we accept the righteous works, and overlook their sins. They have deserved Paradise. This is the truthful promise that is promised to them.
346 | [46:16] Line:4526 |
| ||
347 | [46:22] Line:4532 |
| ||
[YA]: They said: "Hast thou come in order to turn us aside from our gods? Then bring upon us the (calamity) with which thou dost threaten us, if thou art telling the truth?" [RK]:They said, "Did you come to divert us from our gods? We challenge you to bring (the retribution) you threaten, if you are truthful."
348 | [46:26] Line:4536 |
| ||
[YA]: And We had firmly established them in a (prosperity and) power which We have not given to you (ye Quraish!) and We had endowed them with (faculties of) hearing, seeing, heart and intellect: but of no profit to them were their (faculties of) hearing, sight, and heart and intellect, when they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah; and they were (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at! [RK]:We had established them in the same way as we established you, and provided them with hearing, eyes, and minds. But their hearing, eyes, and minds did not help them at all. This is because they decided to disregard GOD's revelations. Thus, the prophecies and warnings that they ridiculed have caused their doom.
349 | [46:28] Line:4538 |
| ||
[YA]: Why then was no help forthcoming to them from those whom they worshipped as gods, besides Allah, as a means of access (to Allah)? Nay, they left them in the lurch: but that was their falsehood and their invention. [RK]:Why then did the idols they set up to bring them closer to GOD fail to help them? Instead, they abandoned them. Such were the false gods they idolized; such were the innovations they fabricated.
350 | [47:1] Line:4546 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,- their deeds will Allah render astray (from their mark). [RK]:Those who disbelieve and repel from the path of GOD, He nullifies their works.
