[YA]: For the present, Allah hath lightened your (task), for He knoweth that there is a weak spot in you: But (even so), if there are a hundred of you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred, and if a thousand, they will vanquish two thousand, with the leave of Allah: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere. [RK]:Now (that many new people have joined you) GOD has made it easier for you, for He knows that you are not as strong as you used to be. Henceforth, a hundred steadfast believers can defeat two hundred, and a thousand of you can defeat two thousand by GOD's leave. GOD is with those who steadfastly persevere.
52 | [8:75] Line:1235 |

[YA]: And those who accept Faith subsequently, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith in your company,- they are of you. But kindred by blood have prior rights against each other in the Book of Allah. Verily Allah is well-acquainted with all things. [RK]:Those who believed afterwards, and emigrated, and strove with you, they belong with you. Those who are related to each other shall be the first to support each other, in accordance with GOD's commandments. GOD is fully aware of all things.
53 | [9:36] Line:1271 |

[YA]: The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)- so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred: that is the straight usage. So wrong not yourselves therein, and fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. [RK]:The count of months, as far as GOD is concerned, is twelve. This has been GOD's law, since the day He created the heavens and the earth. Four of them are sacred. This is the perfect religion; you shall not wrong your souls (by fighting) during the Sacred Months. However, you may declare all-out war against the idol worshipers (even during the Sacred Months), when they declare all-out war against you, and know that GOD is on the side of the righteous.
54 | [9:40] Line:1275 |

[YA]: If ye help not (your leader), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, "Have no fear, for Allah is with us": then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise. [RK]:If you fail to support him (the messenger), GOD has already supported him. Thus, when the disbelievers chased him, and he was one of two in the cave, he said to his friend, "Do not worry; GOD is with us." GOD then sent down contentment and security upon him, and supported him with invisible soldiers. He made the word of the disbelievers lowly. GOD's word reigns supreme. GOD is Almighty, Most Wise.
55 | [9:42] Line:1277 |

[YA]: If there had been immediate gain (in sight), and the journey easy, they would (all) without doubt have followed thee, but the distance was long, (and weighed) on them. They would indeed swear by Allah, "If we only could, we should certainly have come out with you": They would destroy their own souls; for Allah doth know that they are certainly lying. [RK]:If there were a quick material gain, and a short journey, they would have followed you. But the striving is just too much for them. They will swear by GOD: "If we could, we would have mobilized with you." They thus hurt themselves, and GOD knows that they are liars.
56 | [9:46] Line:1281 |
| ||
[YA]: If they had intended to come out, they would certainly have made some preparation therefor; but Allah was averse to their being sent forth; so He made them lag behind, and they were told, "Sit ye among those who sit (inactive)." [RK]:Had they really wanted to mobilize, they would have prepared for it thoroughly. But GOD disliked their participation, so He discouraged them; they were told, "Stay behind with those who are staying behind."
57 | [9:52] Line:1287 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Can you expect for us (any fate) other than one of two glorious things- (Martyrdom or victory)? But we can expect for you either that Allah will send his punishment from Himself, or by our hands. So wait (expectant); we too will wait with you." [RK]:Say, "You can only expect for us one of two good things (victory or martyrdom), while we expect for you condemnation from GOD and retribution from Him, or at our hands. Therefore, wait, and we will wait along with you."
58 | [9:83] Line:1318 |
| ||
[YA]: If, then, Allah bring thee back to any of them, and they ask thy permission to come out (with thee), say: "Never shall ye come out with me, nor fight an enemy with me: for ye preferred to sit inactive on the first occasion: Then sit ye (now) with those who lag behind." [RK]:If GOD returns you to a situation where they ask your permission to mobilize with you, you shall say, "You will never again mobilize with me, nor will you ever fight with me against any enemy. For you have chosen to be with the sedentary in the first place. Therefore, you must stay with the sedentary."
59 | [9:83] Line:1318 |

[YA]: If, then, Allah bring thee back to any of them, and they ask thy permission to come out (with thee), say: "Never shall ye come out with me, nor fight an enemy with me: for ye preferred to sit inactive on the first occasion: Then sit ye (now) with those who lag behind." For you have chosen to be with the sedentary in the first place. Therefore, you must stay with the sedentary."

61 | [9:86] Line:1321 |
| ||
[YA]: When a Sura comes down, enjoining them to believe in Allah and to strive and fight along with His Messenger, those with wealth and influence among them ask thee for exemption, and say: "Leave us (behind): we would be with those who sit (at home)." [RK]:When a sura is revealed, stating: "Believe in GOD, and strive with His messenger," even the strong among them say, "Let us stay behind!"
62 | [9:86] Line:1321 |
| ||

63 | [9:87] Line:1322 |
| ||
[YA]: They prefer to be with (the women), who remain behind (at home): their hearts are sealed and so they understand not. [RK]:They chose to be with the sedentary. Consequently, their hearts were sealed, and thus, they cannot comprehend.
64 | [9:88] Line:1323 |
| ||
[YA]: But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are (all) good things: and it is they who will prosper. [RK]:As for the messenger and those who believed with him, they eagerly strive with their money and their lives. These have deserved all the good things; they are the winners.
65 | [9:93] Line:1328 |
| ||
[YA]: The ground (of complaint) is against such as claim exemption while they are rich. They prefer to stay with the (women) who remain behind: Allah hath sealed their hearts; so they know not (What they miss). [RK]:The blame is on those who ask your permission to stay behind, even though they have no excuse. They have chosen to be with the sedentary. Consequently, GOD has sealed their hearts, and thus, they do not attain any knowledge.
66 | [9:119] Line:1354 |
| ||
[YA]: O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed). [RK]:O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and be among the truthful.
67 | [9:123] Line:1358 |
| ||
[YA]: O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him. [RK]:O you who believe, you shall fight the disbelievers who attack you - let them find you stern - and know that GOD is with the righteous.
68 | [10:20] Line:1384 |
| ||
[YA]: They say: "Why is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The Unseen is only for Allah (to know), then wait ye: I too will wait with you." [RK]:They say, "How come no miracle came down to him from his Lord?" Say, "The future belongs to GOD; so wait, and I am waiting along with you."
69 | [10:73] Line:1437 |
| ||
[YA]: They rejected Him, but We delivered him, and those with him, in the Ark, and We made them inherit (the earth), while We overwhelmed in the flood those who rejected Our Signs. Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not)! [RK]:They rejected him and, consequently, we saved him and those who joined him in the ark; we made them the inheritors. And we drowned those who rejected our revelations. Note the consequences; they have been warned.
70 | [10:102] Line:1466 |
| ||
[YA]: Do they then expect (any thing) but (what happened in) the days of the men who passed away before them? Say: "Wait ye then: for I, too, will wait with you." [RK]:Can they expect other than the fate of their counterparts in the past? Say, "Just wait, and, along with you, I am also waiting."
71 | [11:12] Line:1485 |
| ||
[YA]: Perchance thou mayest (feel the inclination) to give up a part of what is revealed unto thee, and thy heart feeleth straitened lest they say, "Why is not a treasure sent down unto him, or why does not an angel come down with him?" But thou art there only to warn! It is Allah that arrangeth all affairs! [RK]:You may wish to disregard some of that which is revealed to you, and you may be annoyed by it. Also, they may say, "How come no treasure comes down to him, or an angel?" You are only a warner; GOD controls all things.
72 | [11:40] Line:1513 |
| ||
[YA]: At length, behold! there came Our command, and the fountains of the earth gushed forth! We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two, male and female, and your family - except those against whom the word has already gone forth,- and the Believers." but only a few believed with him. [RK]:When our judgment came, and the atmosphere boiled over, we said, "Carry on it a pair of each kind, together with your family, except those who are condemned. Carry with you those who have believed," and only a few have believed with him.
73 | [11:42] Line:1515 |
| ||
[YA]: So the Ark floated with them on the waves (towering) like mountains, and Noah called out to his son, who had separated himself (from the rest): "O my son! embark with us, and be not with the unbelievers!" [RK]:As it sailed with them in waves like hills, Noah called his son, who was isolated: "O my son, come ride with us; do not be with the disbelievers."
74 | [11:42] Line:1515 |
| ||
75 | [11:48] Line:1521 |
| ||
[YA]: The word came: "O Noah! Come down (from the Ark) with peace from Us, and blessing on thee and on some of the peoples (who will spring) from those with thee: but (there will be other) peoples to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end will a grievous penalty reach them from Us." [RK]:It was proclaimed: "O Noah, disembark, with peace and blessings upon you, and upon nations who will descend from your companions. As for the other nations descending from you, we will bless them for awhile, then commit them to painful retribution."
76 | [11:58] Line:1531 |
| ||
[YA]: So when Our decree issued, We saved Hud and those who believed with him, by (special) Grace from Ourselves: We saved them from a severe penalty. [RK]:When our judgment came, we saved Hood and those who believed with him, by mercy from us. We saved them from a terrible retribution.
77 | [11:66] Line:1539 |
| ||
[YA]: When Our Decree issued, We saved Salih and those who believed with him, by (special) Grace from Ourselves - and from the Ignominy of that day. For thy Lord - He is the Strong One, and able to enforce His Will. [RK]:When our judgment came, we saved Saaleh and those who believed with him by mercy from us, from the humiliation of that day. Your Lord is the Most Powerful, the Almighty.
78 | [11:93] Line:1566 |
| ||
[YA]: "And O my people! Do whatever ye can: I will do (my part): Soon will ye know who it is on whom descends the penalty of ignominy; and who is a liar! and watch ye! for I too am watching with you!" [RK]:"O my people, go on doing what you wish, and so will I. You will certainly find out which of us will incur shameful retribution; you will find out who the liar is. Just wait in anticipation, and I will wait in anticipation along with you."
79 | [11:94] Line:1567 |
| ||
[YA]: When Our decree issued, We saved Shu'aib and those who believed with him, by (special) mercy from Ourselves: But the (mighty) blast did seize the wrong-doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes by the morning,- [RK]:When our judgment came, we saved Shu`aib and those who believed with him, by mercy from us. As for the evil ones, they were struck by a disaster that left them dead in their homes.
80 | [11:112] Line:1585 |
| ||
[YA]: Therefore stand firm (in the straight Path) as thou art commanded,- thou and those who with thee turn (unto Allah); and transgress not (from the Path): for He seeth well all that ye do. [RK]:Therefore, continue on the path you have been enjoined to follow, together with those who repented with you, and do not transgress. He is Seer of everything you do.
81 | [12:12] Line:1608 |
| ||
[YA]: "Send him with us tomorrow to enjoy himself and play, and we shall take every care of him." [RK]:"Send him with us tomorrow to run and play. We will protect him."
82 | [12:36] Line:1632 |
| ||
[YA]: Now with him there came into the prison two young men. Said one of them: "I see myself (in a dream) pressing wine." said the other: "I see myself (in a dream) carrying bread on my head, and birds are eating, thereof." "Tell us" (they said) "The truth and meaning thereof: for we see thou art one that doth good (to all)." [RK]:Two young men were in the prison with him. One of them said, "I saw (in my dream) that I was making wine," and the other said, "I saw myself carrying bread on my head, from which the birds were eating. Inform us of the interpretation of these dreams. We see that you are righteous."
83 | [12:63] Line:1659 |
| ||
[YA]: Now when they returned to their father, they said: "O our father! No more measure of grain shall we get (unless we take our brother): So send our brother with us, that we may get our measure; and we will indeed take every care of him." [RK]:When they returned to their father, they said, "Our father, we can no longer get any provisions, unless you send our brother with us. We will take good care of him."
84 | [12:66] Line:1662 |
| ||
[YA]: (Jacob) said: "Never will I send him with you until ye swear a solemn oath to me, in Allah's name, that ye will be sure to bring him back to me unless ye are yourselves hemmed in (and made powerless). And when they had sworn their solemn oath, he said: "Over all that we say, be Allah the witness and guardian!" [RK]:He said, "I will not send him with you, unless you give me a solemn pledge before GOD that you will bring him back, unless you are utterly overwhelmed." When they gave him their solemn pledge, he said, "GOD is witnessing everything we say."
85 | [13:18] Line:1725 |
| ||
[YA]: For those who respond to their Lord, are (all) good things. But those who respond not to Him,- Even if they had all that is in the heavens and on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom. For them will the reckoning be terrible: their abode will be Hell,- what a bed of misery! [RK]:Those who respond to their Lord deserve the good rewards. As for those who failed to respond to Him, if they possessed everything on earth - even twice as much - they would readily give it up as ransom. They have incurred the worst reckoning, and their final abode is Hell; what a miserable destiny.
86 | [15:31] Line:1833 |
| ||
[YA]: Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. [RK]:except Iblis (Satan). He refused to be with the prostrators.
87 | [15:32] Line:1834 |
| ||
[YA]: (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" [RK]:He said, "O Iblis (Satan), why are you not with the prostrators?"
88 | [15:96] Line:1898 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. [RK]:who set up another god beside GOD. They will surely find out.
89 | [16:128] Line:2029 |
| ||
[YA]: For Allah is with those who restrain themselves, and those who do good. [RK]:GOD is with those who lead a righteous life, and those who are charitable.
90 | [17:3] Line:2032 |
| ||
[YA]: O ye that are sprung from those whom We carried (in the Ark) with Noah! Verily he was a devotee most grateful. [RK]:They are descendants of those whom we carried with Noah; he was an appreciative servant.
91 | [17:22] Line:2051 |
| ||
[YA]: Take not with Allah another object of worship; or thou (O man!) wilt sit in disgrace and destitution. [RK]:You shall not set up any other god beside GOD, lest you end up despised and disgraced.
92 | [17:39] Line:2068 |
| ||
[YA]: These are among the (precepts of) wisdom, which thy Lord has revealed to thee. Take not, with Allah, another object of worship, lest thou shouldst be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected. [RK]:This is some of the wisdom inspired to you by your Lord. You shall not set up another god beside GOD, lest you end up in Gehenna, blamed and defeated.
93 | [17:42] Line:2071 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: If there had been (other) gods with Him, as they say,- behold, they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne! [RK]:Say, "If there were any other gods beside Him, as they claim, they would have tried to overthrow the Possessor of the throne."
94 | [17:103] Line:2132 |
| ||
[YA]: So he resolved to remove them from the face of the earth: but We did drown him and all who were with him. [RK]:When he pursued them, as he chased them out of the land, we drowned him, together with those who sided with him, all of them.
95 | [18:28] Line:2168 |
| ||
[YA]: And keep thy soul content with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this Life; no obey any whose heart We have permitted to neglect the remembrance of Us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds. [RK]:You shall force yourself to be with those who worship their Lord day and night, seeking Him alone. Do not turn your eyes away from them, seeking the vanities of this world. Nor shall you obey one whose heart we rendered oblivious to our message; one who pursues his own desires, and whose priorities are confused.
96 | [18:67] Line:2207 |
| ||
[YA]: (The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!" [RK]:He said, "You cannot stand to be with me.
97 | [18:72] Line:2212 |
| ||
[YA]: He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?" [RK]:He said, "Did I not say that you cannot stand to be with me?"
98 | [18:75] Line:2215 |
| ||
[YA]: He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?" [RK]:He said, "Did I not tell you that you cannot stand to be with me?"
99 | [19:58] Line:2308 |
| ||
[YA]: Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah did bestow His Grace,- of the posterity of Adam, and of those who We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel of those whom We guided and chose. Whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears. [RK]:These are some of the prophets whom GOD blessed. They were chosen from among the descendants of Adam, and the descendants of those whom we carried with Noah, and the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and from among those whom we guided and selected. When the revelations of the Most Gracious are recited to them, they fall prostrate, weeping.
100 | [20:46] Line:2394 |
| ||
[YA]: He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). [RK]:He said, "Do not be afraid, for I will be with you, listening and watching.
