[YA]: Behold! Thou didst say to one who had received the grace of Allah and thy favour: "Retain thou (in wedlock) thy wife, and fear Allah." But thou didst hide in thy heart that which Allah was about to make manifest: thou didst fear the people, but it is more fitting that thou shouldst fear Allah. Then when Zaid had dissolved (his marriage) with her, with the necessary (formality), We joined her in marriage to thee: in order that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the Believers in (the matter of) marriage with the wives of their adopted sons, when the latter have dissolved with the necessary (formality) (their marriage) with them. And Allah's command must be fulfilled. [RK]:Recall that you said to the one who was blessed by GOD, and blessed by you, "Keep your wife and reverence GOD," and you hid inside yourself what GOD wished to proclaim. Thus, you feared the people, when you were supposed to fear only GOD. When Zeid was completely through with his wife, we had you marry her, in order to establish the precedent that a man may marry the divorced wife of his adopted son. GOD's commands shall be done.

[YA]: O ye who believe! Enter not the Prophet's houses,- until leave is given you,- for a meal, (and then) not (so early as) to wait for its preparation: but when ye are invited, enter; and when ye have taken your meal, disperse, without seeking familiar talk. Such (behaviour) annoys the Prophet: he is ashamed to dismiss you, but Allah is not ashamed (to tell you) the truth. And when ye ask (his ladies) for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs. Nor is it right for you that ye should annoy Allah's Messenger, or that ye should marry his widows after him at any time. Truly such a thing is in Allah's sight an enormity. [RK]:O you who believe, do not enter the prophet's homes unless you are given permission to eat, nor shall you force such an invitation in any manner. If you are invited, you may enter. When you finish eating, you shall leave; do not engage him in lengthy conversations. This used to hurt the prophet, and he was too shy to tell you. But GOD does not shy away from the truth. If you have to ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and their hearts. You are not to hurt the messenger of GOD. You shall not marry his wives after him, for this would be a gross offense in the sight of GOD.

[YA]: And those to whom knowledge has come see that the (Revelation) sent down to thee from thy Lord - that is the Truth, and that it guides to the Path of the Exalted (in might), Worthy of all praise. [RK]:It is evident to those who are blessed with knowledge that this revelation from your Lord to you is the truth, and that it guides to the path of the Almighty, the Most Praiseworthy.
204 | [34:23] Line:3629 |
| ||
[YA]: "No intercession can avail in His Presence, except for those for whom He has granted permission. So far (is this the case) that, when terror is removed from their hearts (at the Day of Judgment, then) will they say, 'what is it that your Lord commanded?' they will say, 'That which is true and just; and He is the Most High Most Great'." [RK]:Intercession with Him will be in vain, unless it coincides with His will. When their minds are finally settled down, and they ask, "What did your Lord say," they will say, "The truth." He is the Most High, the Most Great.
205 | [34:26] Line:3632 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Our Lord will gather us together and will in the end decide the matter between us (and you) in truth and justice: and He is the one to decide, the One Who knows all." [RK]:Say, "Our Lord will gather us all together before Him, then He will judge between us equitably. He is the Judge, the Omniscient."
206 | [34:43] Line:3649 |
| ||
[YA]: When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, they say, "This is only a man who wishes to hinder you from the (worship) which your fathers practised." And they say, "This is only a falsehood invented!" and the Unbelievers say of the Truth when it comes to them, "This is nothing but evident magic!" [RK]:When our proofs were recited to them, perfectly clear, they said, "This is simply a man who wants to divert you from the way your parents are worshipping." They also said, "These are fabricated lies." Those who disbelieved also said about the truth that came to them, "This is obviously magic."
207 | [34:48] Line:3654 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Verily my Lord doth cast the (mantle of) Truth (over His servants),- He that has full knowledge of (all) that is hidden." [RK]:Say, "My Lord causes the truth to prevail. He is the Knower of all secrets."
208 | [34:49] Line:3655 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "The Truth has arrived, and Falsehood neither creates anything new, nor restores anything." [RK]:Say, "The truth has come; while falsehood can neither initiate anything, nor repeat it."
209 | [35:5] Line:3665 |
| ||
[YA]: O men! Certainly the promise of Allah is true. Let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the Chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah. [RK]:O people, GOD's promise is the truth; therefore, do not be distracted by this lowly life. Do not be diverted from GOD by mere illusions.
210 | [35:24] Line:3684 |
| ||
[YA]: Verily We have sent thee in truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner: and there never was a people, without a warner having lived among them (in the past). [RK]:We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of good news, as well as a warner. Every community must receive a warner.
211 | [35:31] Line:3691 |
| ||
[YA]: That which We have revealed to thee of the Book is the Truth,- confirming what was (revealed) before it: for Allah is assuredly- with respect to His Servants - well acquainted and Fully Observant. [RK]:What we revealed to you in this scripture is the truth, consummating all previous scriptures. GOD is fully Cognizant of His servants, Seer.
212 | [36:7] Line:3712 |
| ||
[YA]: The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe. [RK]:It has been predetermined that most of them do not believe.
213 | [36:70] Line:3775 |
| ||
[YA]: That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth). [RK]:To preach to those who are alive, and to expose the disbelievers.
214 | [37:31] Line:3819 |
| ||
[YA]: "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). [RK]:"We justly incurred our Lord's judgment; now we have to suffer.
215 | [37:37] Line:3825 |
| ||
[YA]: Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him). [RK]:In fact, he has brought the truth, and has confirmed the messengers.
216 | [38:14] Line:3984 |
| ||
[YA]: Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them). [RK]:Each of them disbelieved the messengers and thus, My retribution was inevitable.
217 | [38:22] Line:3992 |
| ||
[YA]: When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: "Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path.. [RK]:When they entered his room, he was startled. They said, "Have no fear. We are feuding with one another, and we are seeking your fair judgment. Do not wrong us, and guide us in the right path.
218 | [38:26] Line:3996 |
| ||
[YA]: O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men in truth (and justice): Nor follow thou the lusts (of thy heart), for they will mislead thee from the Path of Allah: for those who wander astray from the Path of Allah, is a Penalty Grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account. [RK]:O David, we have made you a ruler on earth. Therefore, you shall judge among the people equitably, and do not follow your personal opinion, lest it diverts you from the way of GOD. Surely, those who stray off the way of GOD incur severe retribution for forgetting the Day of Reckoning.
219 | [38:64] Line:4034 |
| ||
[YA]: Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! [RK]:This is a predetermined fact: the people of Hell will feud with one another.
220 | [38:84] Line:4054 |
| ||
[YA]: (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- [RK]:He said, "This is the truth, and the truth is all that I utter.
221 | [38:84] Line:4054 |
| ||
[YA]: (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- [RK]:He said, "This is the truth, and the truth is all that I utter.
222 | [39:2] Line:4060 |
| ||
[YA]: Verily it is We Who have revealed the Book to thee in Truth: so serve Allah, offering Him sincere devotion. [RK]:We sent down to you this scripture, truthfully; you shall worship GOD, devoting your religion to Him alone.
223 | [39:5] Line:4063 |
| ||
[YA]: He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again? [RK]:He created the heavens and the earth truthfully. He rolls the night over the day, and rolls the day over the night. He committed the sun and the moon, each running for a finite period. Absolutely, He is the Almighty, the Forgiving.
224 | [39:19] Line:4077 |
| ||
[YA]: Is, then, one against whom the decree of Punishment is justly due (equal to one who eschews Evil)? Wouldst thou, then, deliver one (who is) in the Fire? [RK]:With regard to those who have deserved the retribution, can you save those who are already in Hell?
225 | [39:41] Line:4099 |
| ||
[YA]: Verily We have revealed the Book to thee in Truth, for (instructing) mankind. He, then, that receives guidance benefits his own soul: but he that strays injures his own soul. Nor art thou set over them to dispose of their affairs. [RK]:We have revealed the scripture through you for the people, truthfully. Then, whoever is guided is guided for his own good, and whoever goes astray goes astray to his own detriment. You are not their advocate.
226 | [39:67] Line:4125 |
| ||
[YA]: No just estimate have they made of Allah, such as is due to Him: On the Day of Judgment the whole of the earth will be but His handful, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand: Glory to Him! High is He above the Partners they attribute to Him! [RK]:They can never fathom the greatness of GOD. The whole earth is within His fist on the Day of Resurrection. In fact, the universes are folded within His right hand. Be He glorified; He is much too high above needing any partners.
227 | [39:69] Line:4127 |
| ||
[YA]: And the Earth will shine with the Glory of its Lord: the Record (of Deeds) will be placed (open); the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forward and a just decision pronounced between them; and they will not be wronged (in the least). [RK]:Then the earth will shine with the light of its Lord. The record will be proclaimed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forth. Everyone will then be judged equitably, without the least injustice.
228 | [39:71] Line:4129 |
| ||
[YA]: The Unbelievers will be led to Hell in crowd: until, when they arrive, there, its gates will be opened. And its keepers will say, "Did not messengers come to you from among yourselves, rehearsing to you the Signs of your Lord, and warning you of the Meeting of This Day of yours?" The answer will be: "True: but the Decree of Punishment has been proved true against the Unbelievers!" [RK]:Those who disbelieved will be led to Hell in throngs. When they get to it, and its gates are opened, its guards will say, "Did you not receive messengers from among you, who recited to you the revelations of your Lord, and warned you about meeting this day?" They will answer, "Yes indeed. But the word `retribution' was already stamped upon the disbelievers."
229 | [39:75] Line:4133 |
| ||
[YA]: And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the Throne (Divine) on all sides, singing Glory and Praise to their Lord. The Decision between them (at Judgment) will be in (perfect) justice, and the cry (on all sides) will be, "Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!" [RK]:You will see the angels floating around the throne, glorifying and praising their Lord. After the equitable judgment is issued to all, it will be proclaimed: "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe."
230 | [40:5] Line:4138 |
| ||
[YA]: But (there were people) before them, who denied (the Signs),- the People of Noah, and the Confederates (of Evil) after them; and every People plotted against their prophet, to seize him, and disputed by means of vanities, therewith to condemn the Truth; but it was I that seized them! and how (terrible) was My Requital! [RK]:Disbelieving before them were the people of Noah, and many other opponents after them. Every community persecuted their messenger to neutralize him. And they argued with falsehood, to defeat the truth. Consequently, I punished them; how terrible was My retribution!
231 | [40:6] Line:4139 |
| ||
[YA]: Thus was the Decree of thy Lord proved true against the Unbelievers; that truly they are Companions of the Fire! [RK]:Thus, the judgment of your Lord is already stamped upon those who disbelieve, that they are the dwellers of Hell.
232 | [40:20] Line:4153 |
| ||
[YA]: And Allah will judge with (justice and) Truth: but those whom (men) invoke besides Him, will not (be in a position) to judge at all. Verily it is Allah (alone) Who hears and sees (all things). [RK]:GOD judges equitably, while the idols they implore beside Him cannot judge anything. GOD is the One who is the Hearer, the Seer.
233 | [40:25] Line:4158 |
| ||
[YA]: Now, when he came to them in Truth, from Us, they said, "Slay the sons of those who believe with him, and keep alive their females," but the plots of Unbelievers (end) in nothing but errors (and delusions)!... [RK]:And when he showed them the truth from us, they said, "Kill the sons of those who believed with him, and spare their daughters." Thus, the scheming of the disbelievers is always wicked.
234 | [40:55] Line:4188 |
| ||
[YA]: Patiently, then, persevere: for the Promise of Allah is true: and ask forgiveness for thy fault, and celebrate the Praises of thy Lord in the evening and in the morning. [RK]:Therefore, be patient, for GOD's promise is true, and ask forgiveness for your sin, and glorify and praise your Lord night and day.
235 | [40:75] Line:4208 |
| ||
[YA]: "That was because ye were wont to rejoice on the earth in things other than the Truth, and that ye were wont to be insolent. [RK]:This is because you used to rejoice in false doctrines on earth, and you used to promote them.
236 | [40:77] Line:4210 |
| ||
[YA]: So persevere in patience; for the Promise of Allah is true: and whether We show thee (in this life) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (before that),-(in any case) it is to Us that they shall (all) return. [RK]:You shall be patient, for GOD's promise is truth. Whether we show you some of (the retribution) we have promised for them, or terminate your life before that, they will be returned to us.
237 | [40:78] Line:4211 |
| ||
[YA]: We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. [RK]:We have sent messengers before you - some of them we mentioned to you, and some we did not mention to you. No messenger can produce any miracle without GOD's authorization. Once GOD's judgment is issued, the truth dominates, and the falsifiers are exposed and humiliated.
238 | [41:15] Line:4233 |
| ||
[YA]: Now the 'Ad behaved arrogantly through the land, against (all) truth and reason, and said: "Who is superior to us in strength?" What! did they not see that Allah, Who created them, was superior to them in strength? But they continued to reject Our Signs! [RK]:As for `Aad, they turned arrogant on earth, opposed the truth, and said, "Who is more powerful than we?" Did they not realize that GOD, who created them, is more powerful than they? They were unappreciative of our revelations.
239 | [41:25] Line:4243 |
| ||
[YA]: And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost. [RK]:We assign to them companions who adorn everything they do in their eyes. Thus, they end up incurring the same fate as the previous communities of jinns and humans, who were also losers.
240 | [41:53] Line:4271 |
| ||
[YA]: Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things? [RK]:We will show them our proofs in the horizons, and within themselves, until they realize that this is the truth. Is your Lord not sufficient as a witness of all things?
241 | [42:17] Line:4289 |
| ||
[YA]: It is Allah Who has sent down the Book in Truth, and the Balance (by which to weigh conduct). And what will make thee realise that perhaps the Hour is close at hand? [RK]:GOD is the One who sent down the scripture, to deliver the truth and the law. For all that you know, the Hour (Day of Judgment) may be very close.
242 | [42:18] Line:4290 |
| ||
[YA]: Only those wish to hasten it who believe not in it: those who believe hold it in awe, and know that it is the Truth. Behold, verily those that dispute concerning the Hour are far astray. [RK]:Challenging it are those who do not believe in it. As for those who believe, they are concerned about it, and they know that it is the truth. Absolutely, those who deny the Hour have gone far astray.
243 | [42:24] Line:4296 |
| ||
[YA]: What! Do they say, "He has forged a falsehood against Allah"? But if Allah willed, He could seal up thy heart. And Allah blots out Vanity, and proves the Truth by His Words. For He knows well the secrets of all hearts. [RK]:Are they saying, "He (Rashad) has fabricated lies about GOD!"? If GOD willed, He could have sealed your mind, but GOD erases the falsehood and affirms the truth with His words. He is fully aware of the innermost thoughts.
244 | [42:24] Line:4296 |
| ||
245 | [42:42] Line:4314 |
| ||
[YA]: The blame is only against those who oppress men and wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice: for such there will be a penalty grievous. [RK]:The wrong ones are those who treat the people unjustly, and resort to aggression without provocation. These have incurred a painful retribution.
246 | [43:29] Line:4354 |
| ||
[YA]: Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear. [RK]:Indeed, I have given these people and their ancestors sufficient chances, then the truth came to them, and a clarifying messenger.
247 | [43:30] Line:4355 |
| ||
[YA]: But when the Truth came to them, they said: "This is sorcery, and we do reject it." [RK]:When the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and we are disbelievers therein."
248 | [43:78] Line:4403 |
| ||
[YA]: Verily We have brought the Truth to you: but most of you have a hatred for Truth. [RK]:"We have given you the truth, but most of you hate the truth."
249 | [43:78] Line:4403 |
| ||
[YA]: Verily We have brought the Truth to you: but most of you have a hatred for Truth. [RK]:"We have given you the truth, but most of you hate the truth."
250 | [43:86] Line:4411 |
| ||
[YA]: And those whom they invoke besides Allah have no power of intercession;- only he who bears witness to the Truth, and they know (him). [RK]:None of those whom they idolize beside Him possess any power to intercede, unless their intercession coincides with the truth, and they fully know.
