Yahlifoona biAllahi maqaloo walaqad qaloo kalimata alkufri wakafaroobaAAda islamihim wahammoo bima lam yanaloowama naqamoo illa an aghnahumu Allahuwarasooluhu min fadlihi fa-in yatooboo yaku khayran lahumwa-in yatawallaw yuAAaththibhumu Allahu AAathabanaleeman fee alddunya waal-akhiratiwama lahum fee al-ardi min waliyyin wala naseerin

يحلفون بالله ماقالوا ولقد قالوا كلمة الكفر وكفروا بعد اسلامهم وهموا بما لم ينالوا ومانقموا الا ان اغناهم الله ورسوله من فضله فان يتوبوا يك خيرا لهم وان يتولوا يعذبهم الله عذابا اليما في الدنيا والاخرة ومالهم في الارض من ولي ولانصير

[YA]: They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.

[RK]:They swear by GOD that they never said it, although they have uttered the word of disbelief; they have disbelieved after becoming submitters. In fact, they gave up what they never had. They have rebelled even though GOD and His messenger have showered them with His grace and provisions. If they repent, it would be best for them. But if they turn away, GOD will commit them to painful retribution in this life and in the Hereafter. They will find no one on earth to be their lord and master.

DaAAwahum feeha subhanakaallahumma watahiyyatuhum feeha salamunwaakhiru daAAwahum ani alhamdu lillahirabbi alAAalameena

دعواهم فيها سبحانك اللهم وتحيتهم فيها سلام واخر دعواهم ان الحمد لله رب العالمين

[YA]: (This will be) their cry therein: "Glory to Thee, O Allah!" And "Peace" will be their greeting therein! and the close of their cry will be: "Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!"

[RK]:Their prayer therein is: "Be You glorified, our god," their greeting therein is, "Peace," and their ultimate prayer is: "Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe."

WaAllahu yadAAoo ila darialssalami wayahdee man yashao ila siratinmustaqeemin

والله يدعو الي دار السلام ويهدي من يشاء الي صراط مستقيم

[YA]: But Allah doth call to the Home of Peace: He doth guide whom He pleaseth to a way that is straight.

[RK]:GOD invites to the abode of peace, and guides whoever wills (to be guided) in a straight path.

Fa-in tawallaytum fama saaltukum minajrin in ajriya illa AAala Allahi waomirtuan akoona mina almuslimeena

فان توليتم فما سالتكم من اجر ان اجري الا علي الله وامرت ان اكون من المسلمين

[YA]: "But if ye turn back, (consider): no reward have I asked of you: my reward is only due from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of those who submit to Allah's will (in Islam)."

[RK]:"If you turn away, then I have not asked you for any wage. My wage comes from GOD. I have been commanded to be a submitter."

Waqala moosa ya qawmiin kuntum amantum biAllahi faAAalayhitawakkaloo in kuntum muslimeena

وقال موسي ياقوم ان كنتم امنتم بالله فعليه توكلوا ان كنتم مسلمين

[YA]: Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His)."

[RK]:Moses said, "O my people, if you have really believed in GOD, then put your trust in Him, if you are really submitters."

Wajawazna bibanee isra-eelaalbahra faatbaAAahum firAAawnu wajunooduhu baghyanwaAAadwan hatta itha adrakahu algharaqu qalaamantu annahu la ilaha illa allatheeamanat bihi banoo isra-eela waana minaalmuslimeena

وجاوزنا ببني اسرائيل البحر فاتبعهم فرعون وجنوده بغيا وعدوا حتي اذا ادركه الغرق قال امنت انه لا اله الا الذي امنت به بنو اسرائيل وانا من المسلمين

[YA]: We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)."

[RK]:We delivered the Children of Israel across the sea. Pharaoh and his troops pursued them, aggressively and sinfully. When drowning became a reality for him, he said, "I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel have believed; I am a submitter."

Fa-illam yastajeeboo lakum faiAAlamooannama onzila biAAilmi Allahi waan la ilahailla huwa fahal antum muslimoona

فالم يستجيبوا لكم فاعلموا انما انزل بعلم الله وان لا اله الا هو فهل انتم مسلمون

[YA]: "If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! will ye even then submit (to Islam)?"

[RK]:If they fail to meet your challenge, then know that this is revealed with GOD's knowledge, and that there is no god except He. Will you then submit?

Qeela ya noohu ihbitbisalamin minna wabarakatin AAalayka waAAalaomamin mimman maAAaka waomamun sanumattiAAuhum thumma yamassuhumminna AAathabun aleemun

قيل يانوح اهبط بسلام منا وبركات عليك وعلي امم ممن معك وامم سنمتعهم ثم يمسهم منا عذاب اليم

[YA]: The word came: "O Noah! Come down (from the Ark) with peace from Us, and blessing on thee and on some of the peoples (who will spring) from those with thee: but (there will be other) peoples to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end will a grievous penalty reach them from Us."

[RK]:It was proclaimed: "O Noah, disembark, with peace and blessings upon you, and upon nations who will descend from your companions. As for the other nations descending from you, we will bless them for awhile, then commit them to painful retribution."

ولقد جاءت رسلنا ابراهيم بالبشري قالوا سلاما قال سلام فمالبث ان جاء بعجل حنيذ

[YA]: There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf.

[RK]:When our messengers went to Abraham with good news, they said, "Peace." He said, "Peace," and soon brought a roasted calf.

Rabbi qad ataytanee mina almulkiwaAAallamtanee min ta/weeli al-ahadeethi fatira alssamawatiwaal-ardi anta waliyyee fee alddunyawaal-akhirati tawaffanee musliman waalhiqneebialssaliheena

رب قد اتيتني من الملك وعلمتني من تاويل الاحاديث فاطر السماوات والارض انت ولي في الدنيا والاخرة توفني مسلما والحقني بالصالحين

[YA]: "O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous."

[RK]:"My Lord, You have given me kingship and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Initiator of the heavens and the earth; You are my Lord and Master in this life and in the Hereafter. Let me die as a submitter, and count me with the righteous."

Salamun AAalaykum bima sabartumfaniAAma AAuqba alddari

سلام عليكم بما صبرتم فنعم عقبي الدار

[YA]: "Peace unto you for that ye persevered in patience! Now how excellent is the final home!"

[RK]:"Peace be upon you, because you steadfastly persevered. What a joyous destiny."

Waodkhila allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu khalideenafeeha bi-ithni rabbihim tahiyyatuhum feehasalamun

وادخل الذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات جنات تجري من تحتها الانهار خالدين فيها باذن ربهم تحيتهم فيها سلام

[YA]: But those who believe and work righteousness will be admitted to gardens beneath which rivers flow,- to dwell therein for aye with the leave of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be: "Peace!"

[RK]:As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, they will be admitted into gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever, in accordance with the will of their Lord. Their greeting therein is: "Peace."

Rubama yawaddu allatheenakafaroo law kanoo muslimeena

ربما يود الذين كفروا لو كانوا مسلمين

[YA]: Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to Allah's will) in Islam.

[RK]:Certainly, those who disbelieved will wish they were submitters.

ادخلوها بسلام امنين

[YA]: (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security."

[RK]:Enter therein, peaceful and secure.

Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloosalaman qala inna minkum wajiloona

اذ دخلوا عليه فقالوا سلاما قال انامنكم وجلون

[YA]: When they entered his presence and said, "Peace!" He said, "We feel afraid of you!"

[RK]:When they entered his quarters, they said, "Peace." He said, "We are apprehensive about you."

Allatheena tatawaffahumu almala-ikatuthalimee anfusihim faalqawoo alssalamama kunna naAAmalu min soo-in bala inna AllahaAAaleemun bima kuntum taAAmaloona

الذين تتوفاهم الملائكة ظالمي انفسهم فالقوا السلم ماكنا نعمل من سوء بلي ان الله عليم بما كنتم تعملون

[YA]: "(Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of wrong-doing to their own souls." Then would they offer submission (with the pretence), "We did no evil (knowingly)." (The angels will reply), "Nay, but verily Allah knoweth all that ye did;

[RK]:The angels put them to death in a state of wronging their souls. That is when they finally submit, and say, "We did not do anything wrong!" Yes indeed. GOD is fully aware of everything you have done.

Allatheena tatawaffahumu almala-ikatutayyibeena yaqooloona salamun AAalaykumu odkhulooaljannata bima kuntum taAAmaloona

الذين تتوفاهم الملائكة طيبين يقولون سلام عليكم ادخلوا الجنة بما كنتم تعملون

[YA]: (Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of purity, saying (to them), "Peace be on you; enter ye the Garden, because of (the good) which ye did (in the world)."

[RK]:The angels terminate their lives in a state of righteousness, saying, "Peace be upon you. Enter Paradise (now) as a reward for your works."

WaAllahu jaAAala lakum mimmakhalaqa thilalan wajaAAala lakum mina aljibaliaknanan wajaAAala lakum sarabeela taqeekumu alharrawasarabeela taqeekum ba/sakum kathalika yutimmuniAAmatahu AAalaykum laAAallakum tuslimoona

والله جعل لكم مما خلق ظلالا وجعل لكم من الجبال اكنانا وجعل لكم سرابيل تقيكم الحر وسرابيل تقيكم باسكم كذلك يتم نعمته عليكم لعلكم تسلمون

[YA]: It is Allah Who made out of the things He created, some things to give you shade; of the hills He made some for your shelter; He made you garments to protect you from heat, and coats of mail to protect you from your (mutual) violence. Thus does He complete His favours on you, that ye may bow to His Will (in Islam).

[RK]:And GOD provided for you shade through things which He created, and provided for you shelters in the mountains, and provided for you garments that protect you from heat, and garments that protect when you fight in wars. He thus perfects His blessings upon you, that you may submit.

Waalqaw ila Allahi yawma-ithinalssalama wadalla AAanhum ma kanooyaftaroona

والقوا الي الله يومئذ السلم وضل عنهم ما كانوا يفترون

[YA]: That Day shall they (openly) show (their) submission to Allah; and all their inventions shall leave them in the lurch.

[RK]:They will totally submit to GOD on that day, and the idols they had invented will disown them.

Wayawma nabAAathu fee kulli ommatinshaheedan AAalayhim min anfusihim waji/na bika shaheedanAAala haola-i wanazzalna AAalaykaalkitaba tibyanan likulli shay-in wahudan warahmatanwabushra lilmuslimeena

ويوم نبعث في كل امة شهيدا عليهم من انفسهم وجئنا بك شهيدا علي هؤلاء ونزلنا عليك الكتاب تبيانا لكل شئ وهدي ورحمة وبشري للمسلمين

[YA]: One day We shall raise from all Peoples a witness against them, from amongst themselves: and We shall bring thee as a witness against these (thy people): and We have sent down to thee the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims.

[RK]:The day will come when we will raise from every community a witness from among them, and bring you as the witness of these people. We have revealed to you this book to provide explanations for everything, and guidance, and mercy, and good news for the submitters.

Qul nazzalahu roohu alqudusi minrabbika bialhaqqi liyuthabbita allatheena amanoowahudan wabushra lilmuslimeena

قل نزله روح القدس من ربك بالحق ليثبت الذين امنوا وهدي وبشري للمسلمين

[YA]: Say, the Holy Spirit has brought the revelation from thy Lord in Truth, in order to strengthen those who believe, and as a Guide and Glad Tidings to Muslims.

[RK]:Say, "The Holy Spirit has brought it down from your Lord, truthfully, to assure those who believe, and to provide a beacon and good news for the submitters."

Wasalamun AAalayhi yawma wulidawayawma yamootu wayawma yubAAathu hayyan

وسلام عليه يوم ولد ويوم يموت ويوم يبعث حيا

[YA]: So Peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life (again)!

[RK]:Peace be upon him the day he was born, the day he dies, and the day he is resurrected back to life.

Waalssalamu AAalayya yawmawulidtu wayawma amootu wayawma obAAathu hayyan

والسلام علي يوم ولدت ويوم اموت ويوم ابعث حيا

[YA]: "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!

[RK]:And peace be upon me the day I was born, the day I die, and the day I get resurrected."

Qala salamun AAalaykasaastaghfiru laka rabbee innahu kana bee hafiyyan

قال سلام عليك ساستغفر لك ربي انه كان بي حفيا

[YA]: Abraham said: "Peace be on thee: I will pray to my Lord for thy forgiveness: for He is to me Most Gracious.

[RK]:He said, "Peace be upon you. I will implore my Lord to forgive you; He has been Most Kind to me.

La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwanilla salaman walahum rizquhum feeha bukratanwaAAashiyyan

لايسمعون فيها لغوا الا سلاما ولهم رزقهم فيها بكرة وعشيا

[YA]: They will not there hear any vain discourse, but only salutations of Peace: And they will have therein their sustenance, morning and evening.

[RK]:They will not hear any nonsense therein; only peace. They receive their provisions therein, day and night.

Fa/tiyahu faqoola innarasoola rabbika faarsil maAAana banee isra-eelawala tuAAaththibhum qad ji/naka bi-ayatinmin rabbika waalssalamu AAala mani ittabaAAaalhuda

فاتياه فقولا انا رسولا ربك فارسل معنا بني اسرائيل ولاتعذبهم قد جئناك باية من ربك والسلام علي من اتبع الهدي

[YA]: "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance!

[RK]:"Go to him and say, `We are two messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go. You must refrain from persecuting them. We bring a sign from your Lord, and peace is the lot of those who heed the guidance.

Qulna ya naru kooneebardan wasalaman AAala ibraheema

قلنا يانار كوني بردا وسلاما علي ابراهيم

[YA]: We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and (a means of) safety for Abraham!"

[RK]:We said, "O fire, be cool and safe for Abraham."

Wadawooda wasulaymana ithyahkumani fee alharthi ith nafashatfeehi ghanamu alqawmi wakunna lihukmihim shahideena

وداود وسليمان اذ يحكمان في الحرث اذ نفشت فيه غنم القوم وكنا لحكمهم شاهدين

[YA]: And remember David and Solomon, when they gave judgment in the matter of the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night: We did witness their judgment.

[RK]:And David and Solomon, when they once ruled with regard to someone's crop that was destroyed by another's sheep, we witnessed their judgment.

Fafahhamnaha sulaymanawakullan atayna hukman waAAilman wasakhkharnamaAAa dawooda aljibala yusabbihna waalttayrawakunna faAAileena

ففهمناها سليمان وكلا اتينا حكما وعلما وسخرنا مع داود الجبال يسبحن والطير وكنا فاعلين

[YA]: To Solomon We inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises, with David: it was We Who did (all these things).

[RK]:We granted Solomon the correct understanding, though we endowed both of them with wisdom and knowledge. We committed the mountains to serve David in glorifying (God), as well as the birds. This is what we did.

Walisulaymana alrreehaAAasifatan tajree bi-amrihi ila al-ardiallatee barakna feeha wakunna bikullishay-in AAalimeena

ولسليمان الريح عاصفة تجري بامره الي الارض التي باركنا فيها وكنا بكل شئ عالمين

[YA]: (It was Our power that made) the violent (unruly) wind flow (tamely) for Solomon, to his order, to the land which We had blessed: for We do know all things.

[RK]:For Solomon, we committed the wind gusting and blowing at his disposal. He could direct it as he wished, to whatever land he chose, and we blessed such land for him. We are fully aware of all things.

Qul innama yooha ilayya annamailahukum ilahun wahidun fahal antummuslimoona

قل انما يوحي الي انما الهكم اله واحد فهل انتم مسلمون

[YA]: Say: "What has come to me by inspiration is that your Allah is One Allah: will ye therefore bow to His Will (in Islam)?"

[RK]:Proclaim, "I have been given divine inspiration that your god is one god. Will you then submit?"

Walikulli ommatin jaAAalna mansakanliyathkuroo isma Allahi AAala marazaqahum min baheemati al-anAAami fa-ilahukum ilahunwahidun falahu aslimoo wabashshiri almukhbiteena

ولكل امة جعلنا منسكا ليذكروا اسم الله علي مارزقهم من بهيمة الانعام فالهكم اله واحد فله اسلموا وبشر المخبتين

[YA]: To every people did We appoint rites (of sacrifice), that they might celebrate the name of Allah over the sustenance He gave them from animals (fit for food). But your god is One God: submit then your wills to Him (in Islam): and give thou the good news to those who humble themselves,-

[RK]:For each congregation we have decreed rites whereby they commemorate the name of GOD for providing them with the livestock. Your god is one and the same god; you shall all submit to Him. Give good news to the obedient.

Wajahidoo fee Allahi haqqajihadihi huwa ijtabakum wama jaAAalaAAalaykum fee alddeeni min harajin millata abeekumibraheema huwa sammakumu almuslimeena min qabluwafee hatha liyakoona alrrasoolu shaheedanAAalaykum watakoonoo shuhadaa AAala alnnasifaaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakatawaiAAtasimoo biAllahi huwa mawlakumfaniAAma almawla waniAAma alnnaseeru

وجاهدوا في الله حق جهاده هو اجتباكم وماجعل عليكم في الدين من حرج ملة ابيكم ابراهيم هو سماكم المسلمين من قبل وفي هذا ليكون الرسول شهيدا عليكم وتكونوا شهداء علي الناس فاقيموا الصلاة واتوا الزكاة واعتصموا بالله هو مولاكم فنعم المولي ونعم النصير

[YA]: And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive, (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the cult of your father Abraham. It is He Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and ye be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector - the Best to protect and the Best to help!

[RK]:You shall strive for the cause of GOD as you should strive for His cause. He has chosen you and has placed no hardship on you in practicing your religion - the religion of your father Abraham. He is the one who named you "Submitters" originally. Thus, the messenger shall serve as a witness among you, and you shall serve as witnesses among the people. Therefore, you shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and hold fast to GOD; He is your Lord, the best Lord and the best Supporter.

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tadkhuloo buyootan ghayra buyootikum hattatasta/nisoo watusallimoo AAala ahliha thalikumkhayrun lakum laAAallakum tathakkaroona

ياايها الذين امنوا لاتدخلوا بيوتا غير بيوتكم حتي تستانسوا وتسلموا علي اهلها ذلكم خير لكم لعلكم تذكرون

[YA]: O ye who believe! enter not houses other than your own, until ye have asked permission and saluted those in them: that is best for you, in order that ye may heed (what is seemly).

[RK]:O you who believe, do not enter homes other than yours without permission from their inhabitants, and without greeting them. This is better for you, that you may take heed.

Laysa AAala al-aAAma harajunwala AAala al-aAAraji harajun walaAAala almareedi harajun wala AAalaanfusikum an ta/kuloo min buyootikum aw buyooti aba-ikumaw buyooti ommahatikum aw buyooti ikhwanikum awbuyooti akhawatikum aw buyooti aAAmamikum awbuyooti AAammatikum aw buyooti akhwalikum awbuyooti khalatikum aw ma malaktum mafatihahuaw sadeeqikum laysa AAalaykum junahun an ta/kuloojameeAAan aw ashtatan fa-itha dakhaltum buyootanfasallimoo AAala anfusikum tahiyyatan min AAindiAllahi mubarakatan tayyibatan kathalikayubayyinu Allahu lakumu al-ayati laAAallakumtaAAqiloona

ليس علي الاعمي حرج ولاعلي الاعرج حرج ولاعلي المريض حرج ولاعلي انفسكم ان تاكلوا من بيوتكم او بيوت ابائكم او بيوت امهاتكم او بيوت اخوانكم او بيوت اخواتكم او بيوت اعمامكم او بيوت عماتكم او بيوت اخوالكم او بيوت خالاتكم او ماملكتم مفاتحه او صديقكم ليس عليكم جناح ان تاكلوا جميعا او اشتاتا فاذا دخلتم بيوتا فسلموا علي انفسكم تحية من عند الله مباركة طيبة كذلك يبين الله لكم الايات لعلكم تعقلون

[YA]: It is no fault in the blind nor in one born lame, nor in one afflicted with illness, nor in yourselves, that ye should eat in your own houses, or those of your fathers, or your mothers, or your brothers, or your sisters, or your father's brothers or your father's sisters, or your mohter's brothers, or your mother's sisters, or in houses of which the keys are in your possession, or in the house of a sincere friend of yours: there is no blame on you, whether ye eat in company or separately. But if ye enter houses, salute each other - a greeting of blessing and purity as from Allah. Thus does Allah make clear the signs to you: that ye may understand.

[RK]:The blind is not to be blamed, the crippled is not to be blamed, nor is the handicapped to be blamed, just as you are not to be blamed for eating at your homes, or the homes of your fathers, or the homes of your mothers, or the homes of your brothers, or the homes of your sisters, or the homes of your fathers' brothers, or the homes of your fathers' sisters, or the homes of your mothers' brothers, or the homes of your mothers' sisters, or the homes that belong to you and you possess their keys, or the homes of your friends. You commit nothing wrong by eating together or as individuals. When you enter any home, you shall greet each other a greeting from GOD that is blessed and good. GOD thus explains the revelations for you, that you may understand.

وعباد الرحمن الذين يمشون علي الارض هونا واذا خاطبهم الجاهلون قالوا سلاما

[YA]: And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!";

[RK]:The worshipers of the Most Gracious are those who tread the earth gently, and when the ignorant speak to them, they only utter peace.

اولئك يجزون الغرفة بما صبروا ويلقون فيها تحية وسلاما

[YA]: Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace,

[RK]:These are the ones who attain Paradise in return for their steadfastness; they are received therein with joyous greetings and peace.

ولقد اتينا داود وسليمان علما وقالا الحمد لله الذي فضلنا علي كثير من عباده المؤمنين

[YA]: We gave (in the past) knowledge to David and Solomon: And they both said: "Praise be to Allah, Who has favoured us above many of his servants who believe!"

[RK]:We endowed David and Solomon with knowledge, and they said, "Praise GOD for blessing us more than many of His believing servants."

Wawaritha sulaymanu dawoodawaqala ya ayyuha alnnasuAAullimna mantiqa alttayri waooteenamin kulli shay-in inna hatha lahuwa alfadlualmubeenu

وورث سليمان داود وقال ياايها الناس علمنا منطق الطير واوتينا من كل شئ ان هذا لهو الفضل المبين

[YA]: And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)"

[RK]:Solomon was David's heir. He said, "O people, we have been endowed with understanding the language of the birds, and all kinds of things have been bestowed upon us. This is indeed a real blessing."

Wahushira lisulaymanajunooduhu mina aljinni waal-insi waalttayrifahum yoozaAAoona

وحشر لسليمان جنوده من الجن والانس والطير فهم يوزعون

[YA]: And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks.

[RK]:Mobilized in the service of Solomon were his obedient soldiers of jinns and humans, as well as the birds; all at his disposal.

Hatta itha ataw AAalawadi alnnamli qalat namlatun ya ayyuhaalnnamlu odkhuloo masakinakum la yahtimannakumsulaymanu wajunooduhu wahum la yashAAuroona

حتي اذا اتوا علي واد النمل قالت نملة ياايها النمل ادخلوا مساكنكم لايحطمنكم سليمان وجنوده وهم لايشعرون

[YA]: At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it."

[RK]:When they approached the valley of the ants, one ant said, "O you ants, go into your homes, lest you get crushed by Solomon and his soldiers, without perceiving."

انه من سليمان وانه بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

[YA]: "It is from Solomon, and is (as follows): 'In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful:

[RK]:"It is from Solomon, and it is, `In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.'

الا تعلوا علي واتوني مسلمين

[YA]: "'Be ye not arrogant against me, but come to me in submission (to the true Religion).'"

[RK]:"Proclaiming: `Do not be arrogant; come to me as submitters.' "

Falamma jaa sulaymana qalaatumiddoonani bimalin fama ataniyaAllahu khayrun mimma atakum bal antumbihadiyyatikum tafrahoona

فلما جاء سليمان قال اتمدونن بمال فما اتاني الله خير مما اتاكم بل انتم بهديتكم تفرحون

[YA]: Now when (the embassy) came to Solomon, he said: "Will ye give me abundance in wealth? But that which Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay it is ye who rejoice in your gift!

[RK]:When the hoopoe returned to Solomon (he told him the news), and he responded (to Sheba's people): "Are you giving me money? What GOD has given me is far better than what He has given you. You are the ones to rejoice in such gifts."

Qala ya ayyuha almalaoayyukum ya/teenee biAAarshiha qabla an ya/toonee muslimeena

قال ياايها الملا ايكم ياتيني بعرشها قبل ان ياتوني مسلمين

[YA]: He said (to his own men): "Ye chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"

[RK]:He said, "O you elders, which of you can bring me her mansion, before they arrive here as submitters?"

Falamma jaat qeela ahakathaAAarshuki qalat kaannahu huwa waooteena alAAilmamin qabliha wakunna muslimeena

فلما جاءت قيل اهكذا عرشك قالت كانه هو واوتينا العلم من قبلها وكنا مسلمين

[YA]: So when she arrived, she was asked, "Is this thy throne?" She said, "It was just like this; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this, and we have submitted to Allah (in Islam)."

[RK]:When she arrived, she was asked, "Does your mansion look like this?" She said, "It seems that this is it." (Solomon said,) "We knew beforehand what she was going to do, and we were already submitters."

Qeela laha odkhulee alssarhafalamma raat-hu hasibat-hu lujjatan wakashafat AAansaqayha qala innahu sarhunmumarradun min qawareera qalat rabbi innee thalamtunafsee waaslamtu maAAa sulaymana lillahi rabbi alAAalameena

قيل لها ادخلي الصرح فلما راته حسبته لجة وكشفت عن ساقيها قال انه صرح ممرد من قوارير قالت رب اني ظلمت نفسي واسلمت مع سليمان لله رب العالمين

[YA]: She was asked to enter the lofty Palace: but when she saw it, she thought it was a lake of water, and she (tucked up her skirts), uncovering her legs. He said: "This is but a palace paved smooth with slabs of glass." She said: "O my Lord! I have indeed wronged my soul: I do (now) submit (in Islam), with Solomon, to the Lord of the Worlds."

[RK]:She was told, "Go inside the palace." When she saw its interior, she thought it was a pool of water, and she (pulled up her dress,) exposing her legs. He said, "This interior is now paved with crystal." She said, "My Lord, I have wronged my soul. I now submit with Solomon to GOD, Lord of the universe."
