[YA]: "O my Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on me some power, and taught me something of the interpretation of dreams and events,- O Thou Creator of the heavens and the earth! Thou art my Protector in this world and in the Hereafter. Take Thou my soul (at death) as one submitting to Thy will (as a Muslim), and unite me with the righteous." [RK]:"My Lord, You have given me kingship and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Initiator of the heavens and the earth; You are my Lord and Master in this life and in the Hereafter. Let me die as a submitter, and count me with the righteous."
102 | [12:109] Line:1705 |
| ||
[YA]: Nor did We send before thee (as messengers) any but men, whom we did inspire,- (men) living in human habitations. Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? But the home of the hereafter is best, for those who do right. Will ye not then understand? [RK]:We did not send before you except men whom we inspired, chosen from the people of various communities. Did they not roam the earth and see the consequences for those before them? The abode of the Hereafter is far better for those who lead a righteous life. Would you then understand?
103 | [13:26] Line:1733 |
| ||
[YA]: Allah doth enlarge, or grant by (strict) measure, the sustenance (which He giveth) to whomso He pleaseth. (The wordly) rejoice in the life of this world: But the life of this world is but little comfort in the Hereafter. [RK]:GOD is the One who increases the provision for whomever He wills, or withholds it. They have become preoccupied with this life; and this life, compared to the Hereafter, is nil.
104 | [13:34] Line:1741 |
| ||
[YA]: For them is a penalty in the life of this world, but harder, truly, is the penalty of the Hereafter: and defender have they none against Allah. [RK]:They have incurred retribution in this life, and the retribution in the Hereafter is far worse. Nothing can protect them against GOD.
105 | [14:3] Line:1753 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who love the life of this world more than the Hereafter, who hinder (men) from the Path of Allah and seek therein something crooked: they are astray by a long distance. [RK]:They are the ones who give priority to this life over the Hereafter, repel from the way of GOD, and seek to make it crooked; they have gone far astray.
106 | [14:27] Line:1777 |
| ||
[YA]: Allah will establish in strength those who believe, with the word that stands firm, in this world and in the Hereafter; but Allah will leave, to stray, those who do wrong: Allah doeth what He willeth. [RK]:GOD strengthens those who believe with the proven word, in this life and in the Hereafter. And GOD sends the transgressors astray. Everything is in accordance with GOD's will.
107 | [14:44] Line:1794 |
| ||
[YA]: So warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath will reach them: then will the wrong-doers say: "Our Lord! respite us (if only) for a short term: we will answer Thy call, and follow the messengers!" "What! were ye not wont to swear aforetime that ye should suffer no decline? [RK]:You shall warn the people of the day when the retribution comes to them. Those who transgressed will say, "Our Lord, give us one more respite. We will then respond to Your call and follow the messengers." Did you not swear in the past that you will last forever?
108 | [15:5] Line:1807 |
| ||
[YA]: Neither can a people anticipate its term, nor delay it. [RK]:The end of any community can never be advanced, nor delayed.
109 | [15:24] Line:1826 |
| ||
[YA]: To Us are known those of you who hasten forward, and those who lag behind. [RK]:And we fully know those among you who advance, and we fully know those who regress.
110 | [15:96] Line:1898 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. [RK]:who set up another god beside GOD. They will surely find out.
111 | [16:14] Line:1915 |
| ||
[YA]: It is He Who has made the sea subject, that ye may eat thereof flesh that is fresh and tender, and that ye may extract therefrom ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the bounty of Allah and that ye may be grateful. [RK]:And He committed the sea to serve you; you eat from it tender meat, and extract jewelry which you wear. And you see the ships roaming it for your commercial benefits, as you seek His bounties, that you may be appreciative.
112 | [16:22] Line:1923 |
| ||
[YA]: Your Allah is one Allah: as to those who believe not in the Hereafter, their hearts refuse to know, and they are arrogant. [RK]:Your god is one god. As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, their hearts are denying, and they are arrogant.
113 | [16:30] Line:1931 |
| ||
[YA]: To the righteous (when) it is said, "What is it that your Lord has revealed?" they say, "All that is good." To those who do good, there is good in this world, and the Home of the Hereafter is even better and excellent indeed is the Home of the righteous,- [RK]:As for the righteous, when they are asked, "What do you think of these revelations from your Lord," they say, "Good." For those who lead a righteous life, happiness; and the abode of the Hereafter is even better. What a blissful abode for the righteous.
114 | [16:41] Line:1942 |
| ||
[YA]: To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, after suffering oppression,- We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world; but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater. If they only realised (this)! [RK]:Those who emigrated for the sake of GOD, because they were persecuted, we will surely make it up to them generously in this life, and the recompense of the Hereafter is even greater, if they only knew.
115 | [16:48] Line:1949 |
| ||
[YA]: Do they not look at Allah's creation, (even) among (inanimate) things,- How their (very) shadows turn round, from the right and the left, prostrating themselves to Allah, and that in the humblest manner? [RK]:Have they not seen all the things created by GOD? Their shadows surround them right and left, in total submission to GOD, and willingly.
116 | [16:60] Line:1961 |
| ||
[YA]: To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. [RK]:Those who do not believe in the Hereafter set the worst examples, while to GOD belongs the most sublime examples. He is the Almighty, the Most Wise.
117 | [16:61] Line:1962 |
| ||
[YA]: If Allah were to punish men for their wrong-doing, He would not leave, on the (earth), a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: When their Term expires, they would not be able to delay (the punishment) for a single hour, just as they would not be able to anticipate it (for a single hour). [RK]:If GOD punished the people for their transgressions, He would have annihilated every creature on earth. But He respites them for a specific, predetermined time. Once their interim ends, they cannot delay it by one hour, nor advance it.
118 | [16:107] Line:2008 |
| ||
[YA]: This because they love the life of this world better than the Hereafter: and Allah will not guide those who reject Faith. [RK]:This is because they have given priority to this life over the Hereafter, and GOD does not guide such disbelieving people.
119 | [16:109] Line:2010 |
| ||
[YA]: Without doubt, in the Hereafter they will perish. [RK]:Without a doubt, they will be the losers in the Hereafter.
120 | [16:122] Line:2023 |
| ||
[YA]: And We gave him Good in this world, and he will be, in the Hereafter, in the ranks of the Righteous. [RK]:We granted him happiness in this life, and in the Hereafter he will be with the righteous.
121 | [17:7] Line:2036 |
| ||
[YA]: If ye did well, ye did well for yourselves; if ye did evil, (ye did it) against yourselves. So when the second of the warnings came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to disfigure your faces, and to enter your Temple as they had entered it before, and to visit with destruction all that fell into their power. [RK]:"If you work righteousness, you work righteousness for your own good, but if you commit evil you do so to your own detriment. Thus, when the second time comes to pass, they will defeat you and enter the masjid, just as they did the first time. They will wipe out all the gains you had accomplished."
122 | [17:10] Line:2039 |
| ||
[YA]: And to those who believe not in the Hereafter, (it announceth) that We have prepared for them a Penalty Grievous (indeed). [RK]:As for those who disbelieve in the Hereafter, we have prepared for them a painful retribution.
123 | [17:15] Line:2044 |
| ||
[YA]: Who receiveth guidance, receiveth it for his own benefit: who goeth astray doth so to his own loss: No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another: nor would We visit with Our Wrath until We had sent an messenger (to give warning). [RK]:Whoever is guided, is guided for his own good, and whoever goes astray does so to his own detriment. No sinner will bear the sins of anyone else. We never punish without first sending a messenger.
124 | [17:19] Line:2048 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter, and strive therefor with all due striving, and have Faith,- they are the ones whose striving is acceptable (to Allah). [RK]:As for those who choose the Hereafter as their priority, and work righteousness, while believing, their efforts will be appreciated.
125 | [17:21] Line:2050 |
| ||
[YA]: See how We have bestowed more on some than on others; but verily the Hereafter is more in rank and gradation and more in excellence. [RK]:Note how we preferred some people above others (in this life). The differences in the Hereafter are far greater and far more significant.
126 | [17:22] Line:2051 |
| ||
[YA]: Take not with Allah another object of worship; or thou (O man!) wilt sit in disgrace and destitution. [RK]:You shall not set up any other god beside GOD, lest you end up despised and disgraced.
127 | [17:39] Line:2068 |
| ||
[YA]: These are among the (precepts of) wisdom, which thy Lord has revealed to thee. Take not, with Allah, another object of worship, lest thou shouldst be thrown into Hell, blameworthy and rejected. [RK]:This is some of the wisdom inspired to you by your Lord. You shall not set up another god beside GOD, lest you end up in Gehenna, blamed and defeated.
128 | [17:45] Line:2074 |
| ||
[YA]: When thou dost recite the Qur'an, We put, between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter, a veil invisible: [RK]:When you read the Quran, we place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter an invisible barrier.
129 | [17:62] Line:2091 |
| ||
[YA]: He said: "Seest Thou? this is the one whom Thou hast honoured above me! If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment, I will surely bring his descendants under my sway - all but a few!" [RK]:He said, "Since You have honored him over me, if You respite me till the Day of Resurrection, I will possess all his descendants, except a few."
130 | [17:69] Line:2098 |
| ||
[YA]: Or do ye feel secure that He will not send you back a second time to sea and send against you a heavy gale to drown you because of your ingratitude, so that ye find no helper. Therein against Us? [RK]:Have you guaranteed that He will not return you to the sea another time, then send upon you a storm that drowns you because of your disbelief? Once this happens, we will not give you another chance.
131 | [17:72] Line:2101 |
| ||
[YA]: But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter, and most astray from the Path. [RK]:As for those who are blind in this life, they will be blind in the Hereafter; even a lot worse.
132 | [17:104] Line:2133 |
| ||
[YA]: And We said thereafter to the Children of Israel, "Dwell securely in the land (of promise)": but when the second of the warnings came to pass, We gathered you together in a mingled crowd. [RK]:And we said to the Children of Israel afterwards, "Go live into this land. When the final prophecy comes to pass, we will summon you all in one group."
133 | [18:71] Line:2211 |
| ||
[YA]: So they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!" [RK]:So they went. When they boarded a ship, he bore a hole in it. He said, "Did you bore a hole in it to drown its people? You have committed something terrible."
134 | [20:18] Line:2366 |
| ||
[YA]: He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." [RK]:He said, "This is my staff. I lean on it, herd my sheep with it, and I use it for other purposes."
135 | [20:22] Line:2370 |
| ||
[YA]: "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- [RK]:"And hold your hand under your wing; it will come out white without a blemish; another proof.
136 | [20:37] Line:2385 |
| ||
[YA]: "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). [RK]:"We have blessed you another time.
137 | [20:55] Line:2403 |
| ||
[YA]: From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again. [RK]:From it we created you, into it we return you, and from it we bring you out once more.
138 | [20:127] Line:2475 |
| ||
[YA]: And thus do We recompense him who transgresses beyond bounds and believes not in the Signs of his Lord: and the Penalty of the Hereafter is far more grievous and more enduring. [RK]:We thus requite those who transgress and refuse to believe in the revelations of their Lord. The retribution in the Hereafter is far worse and everlasting.
139 | [21:11] Line:2494 |
| ||
[YA]: How many were the populations We utterly destroyed because of their iniquities, setting up in their places other peoples? [RK]:Many a community we terminated because of their transgression, and we substituted other people in their place.
140 | [22:11] Line:2606 |
| ||
[YA]: There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces: they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see! [RK]:Among the people there is the one who worships GOD conditionally. If things go his way, he is content. But if some adversity befalls him, he makes an about-face. Thus, he loses both this life and the Hereafter. Such is the real loss.
141 | [22:15] Line:2610 |
| ||
[YA]: If any think that Allah will not help him (His Messenger) in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)! [RK]:If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him in this life and in the Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his creator in) heaven, and sever (his dependence on anyone else). He will then see that this plan eliminates anything that bothers him.
142 | [23:14] Line:2687 |
| ||
[YA]: Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! [RK]:Then we developed the drop into a hanging (embryo), then developed the hanging (embryo) into a bite-size (fetus), then created the bite-size (fetus) into bones, then covered the bones with flesh. We thus produce a new creature. Most blessed is GOD, the best Creator.
143 | [23:31] Line:2704 |
| ||
[YA]: Then We raised after them another generation. [RK]:Subsequently, we established another generation after them.
144 | [23:33] Line:2706 |
| ||
[YA]: And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. [RK]:The leaders among his people who disbelieved and rejected the idea of the Hereafter - although we provided for them generously in this life - said, "This is no more than a human being like you. He eats from what you eat, and drinks as you drink.
145 | [23:42] Line:2715 |
| ||
[YA]: Then We raised after them other generations. [RK]:Subsequently, we established other generations after them.
146 | [23:43] Line:2716 |
| ||
[YA]: No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it). [RK]:No community can advance its predetermined fate, nor delay it.
147 | [23:74] Line:2747 |
| ||

[RK]:Anyone who idolizes beside GOD any other god, and without any kind of proof, his reckoning rests with his Lord. The disbelievers never succeed.
149 | [24:2] Line:2793 |
| ||
[YA]: The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment. [RK]:The adulteress and the adulterer you shall whip each of them a hundred lashes. Do not be swayed by pity from carrying out GOD's law, if you truly believe in GOD and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their penalty.
150 | [24:14] Line:2805 |
| ||
[YA]: Were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair. [RK]:If it were not for GOD's grace towards you, and His mercy in this world and in the Hereafter, you would have suffered a great retribution because of this incident.
