[YA]: We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that their heads are forced up (and they cannot see). [RK]:For we place around their necks shackles, up to their chins. Consequently, they become locked in their disbelief.
252 | [36:9] Line:3714 |
| ||
[YA]: And We have put a bar in front of them and a bar behind them, and further, We have covered them up; so that they cannot see. [RK]:And we place a barrier in front of them, and a barrier behind them, and thus, we veil them; they cannot see.
253 | [36:27] Line:3732 |
| ||
[YA]: "For that my Lord has granted me Forgiveness and has enrolled me among those held in honour!" [RK]:"That my Lord has forgiven me, and made me honorable."
254 | [36:34] Line:3739 |

[YA]: And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: [RK]:We grow in it gardens of date palms, and grapes, and we cause springs to gush out therein.
255 | [36:80] Line:3785 |

[YA]: "The same Who produces for you fire out of the green tree, when behold! ye kindle therewith (your own fires)! [RK]:He is the One who creates for you, from the green trees, fuel which you burn for light.
256 | [37:63] Line:3851 |
| ||
[YA]: For We have truly made it (as) a trial for the wrong-doers. [RK]:We have rendered it a punishment for the transgressors.

258 | [37:98] Line:3886 |

259 | [37:158] Line:3946 |
| ||
[YA]: And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! [RK]:They even invented a special relationship between Him and the jinns. The jinns themselves know that they are subservient.
260 | [38:5] Line:3975 |
| ||
[YA]: "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!" [RK]:"Did he make the gods into one god? This is really strange."
261 | [38:26] Line:3996 |
| ||
[YA]: O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men in truth (and justice): Nor follow thou the lusts (of thy heart), for they will mislead thee from the Path of Allah: for those who wander astray from the Path of Allah, is a Penalty Grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account. [RK]:O David, we have made you a ruler on earth. Therefore, you shall judge among the people equitably, and do not follow your personal opinion, lest it diverts you from the way of GOD. Surely, those who stray off the way of GOD incur severe retribution for forgetting the Day of Reckoning.
262 | [38:28] Line:3998 |
| ||
[YA]: Shall We treat those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, the same as those who do mischief on earth? Shall We treat those who guard against evil, the same as those who turn aside from the right? [RK]:Shall we treat those who believe and lead a righteous life as we treat those who commit evil on earth? Shall we treat the righteous as we treat the wicked?
263 | [38:28] Line:3998 |
| ||
264 | [39:6] Line:4064 |
| ||
[YA]: He created you (all) from a single person: then created, of like nature, his mate; and he sent down for you eight head of cattle in pairs: He makes you, in the wombs of your mothers, in stages, one after another, in three veils of darkness. such is Allah, your Lord and Cherisher: to Him belongs (all) dominion. There is no god but He: then how are ye turned away (from your true Centre)? [RK]:He created you from one person, then created from him his mate. He sent down to you eight kinds of livestock. He creates you in your mothers' bellies, creation after creation, in trimesters of darkness. Such is GOD your Lord. To Him belongs all sovereignty. There is no other god beside Him. How could you deviate?
265 | [39:8] Line:4066 |
| ||
[YA]: When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!" [RK]:When the human being is afflicted, he implores his Lord, sincerely devoted to Him. But as soon as He blesses him, he forgets his previous imploring, sets up idols to rank with GOD and to divert others from His path. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief temporarily; you have incurred the hellfire."
266 | [39:21] Line:4079 |
| ||
[YA]: Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and leads it through springs in the earth? Then He causes to grow, therewith, produce of various colours: then it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then He makes it dry up and crumble away. Truly, in this, is a Message of remembrance to men of understanding. [RK]:Do you not see that GOD sends down from the sky water, then places it into underground wells, then produces with it plants of various colors, then they grow until they turn yellow, then He turns them into hay? This should be a reminder for those who possess intelligence.
267 | [40:61] Line:4194 |
| ||
[YA]: It is Allah Who has made the Night for you, that ye may rest therein, and the days as that which helps (you) to see. Verily Allah is full of Grace and Bounty to men: yet most men give no thanks. [RK]:GOD is the One who designed the night so you can rest in it, and the day lighted. GOD bestows many blessings upon the people, but most people are not thankful.
268 | [40:64] Line:4197 |
| ||
[YA]: It is Allah Who has made for you the earth as a resting place, and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape- and made your shapes beautiful,- and has provided for you Sustenance, of things pure and good;- such is Allah your Lord. So Glory to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! [RK]:GOD is the One who rendered the earth habitable for you, and the sky a formidable structure, and He designed you, and designed you well. He is the One who provides you with good provisions. Such is GOD your Lord; Most Exalted is GOD, Lord of the universe.
269 | [40:79] Line:4212 |
| ||
[YA]: It is Allah Who made cattle for you, that ye may use some for riding and some for food; [RK]:GOD is the One who created the livestock for you; some you ride, and some you eat.
270 | [41:9] Line:4227 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: Is it that ye deny Him Who created the earth in two Days? And do ye join equals with Him? He is the Lord of (all) the Worlds. [RK]:Say, "You disbelieve in the One who created the earth in two days, and you set up idols to rank with Him, though He is Lord of the universe."
271 | [41:10] Line:4228 |
| ||
[YA]: He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance). [RK]:He placed on it stabilizers (mountains), made it productive, and He calculated its provisions in four days, to satisfy the needs of all its inhabitants.
272 | [41:29] Line:4247 |
| ||
[YA]: And the Unbelievers will say: "Our Lord! Show us those, among Jinns and men, who misled us: We shall crush them beneath our feet, so that they become the vilest (before all)." [RK]:Those who disbelieved will say, "Our Lord, show us those among the two kinds - jinns and humans - who misled us, so we can trample them under our feet, and render them the lowliest."
273 | [41:44] Line:4262 |
| ||
[YA]: Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" Say: "It is a Guide and a Healing to those who believe; and for those who believe not, there is a deafness in their ears, and it is blindness in their (eyes): They are (as it were) being called from a place far distant!" [RK]:If we made it a non-Arabic Quran they would have said, "Why did it come down in that language?" Whether it is Arabic or non-Arabic, say, "For those who believe, it is a guide and healing. As for those who disbelieve, they will be deaf and blind to it, as if they are being addressed from faraway."
274 | [42:8] Line:4280 |
| ||
[YA]: If Allah had so willed, He could have made them a single people; but He admits whom He will to His Mercy; and the Wrong-doers will have no protector nor helper. [RK]:Had GOD willed, He could have made them one community. But He redeems into His mercy whomever He wills. As for the transgressors, they have no master, nor a helper.
275 | [42:11] Line:4283 |
| ||
[YA]: (He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things). [RK]:Initiator of the heavens and the earth. He created for you from among yourselves spouses - and also for the animals. He thus provides you with the means to multiply. There is nothing that equals Him. He is the Hearer, the Seer.
276 | [42:50] Line:4322 |
| ||
[YA]: Or He bestows both males and females, and He leaves barren whom He will: for He is full of Knowledge and Power. [RK]:Or, He may have the males and the females marry each other, then render whomever He wills sterile. He is Omniscient, Omnipotent.
277 | [42:52] Line:4324 |
| ||
[YA]: And thus have We, by Our Command, sent inspiration to thee: thou knewest not (before) what was Revelation, and what was Faith; but We have made the (Qur'an) a Light, wherewith We guide such of Our servants as We will; and verily thou dost guide (men) to the Straight Way,- [RK]:Thus, we inspired to you a revelation proclaiming our commandments. You had no idea about the scripture, or faith. Yet, we made this a beacon to guide whomever we choose from among our servants. Surely, you guide in a straight path.
278 | [43:3] Line:4328 |
| ||
[YA]: We have made it a Qur'an in Arabic, that ye may be able to understand (and learn wisdom). [RK]:We have rendered it an Arabic Quran, that you may understand.
279 | [43:10] Line:4335 |
| ||
[YA]: (Yea, the same that) has made for you the earth (like a carpet) spread out, and has made for you roads (and channels) therein, in order that ye may find guidance (on the way); [RK]:He is the One who made the earth habitable for you, and created for you roads therein, that you may follow the right way.
280 | [43:10] Line:4335 |
| ||
281 | [43:12] Line:4337 |
| ||
[YA]: That has created pairs in all things, and has made for you ships and cattle on which ye ride, [RK]:He is the One who created all kinds, in pairs (male and female), and He created for you ships and livestock to ride.
282 | [43:15] Line:4340 |
| ||
[YA]: Yet they attribute to some of His servants a share with Him (in his godhead)! truly is man a blasphemous ingrate avowed! [RK]:They even assigned for Him a share from His own creation! Surely, the human being is profoundly unappreciative.
283 | [43:19] Line:4344 |
| ||
[YA]: And they make into females angels who themselves serve Allah. Did they witness their creation? Their evidence will be recorded, and they will be called to account! [RK]:They claimed that the angels, who are servants of the Most Gracious, are females! Have they witnessed their creation? Their claims are recorded, and they will be asked.
284 | [43:28] Line:4353 |
| ||
[YA]: And he left it as a Word to endure among those who came after him, that they may turn back (to Allah). [RK]:This example (of Abraham) was rendered an everlasting lesson for subsequent generations; perhaps they redeem their souls.
285 | [43:33] Line:4358 |
| ||
[YA]: And were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against (Allah) Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair-ways on which to go up, [RK]:If it were not that all the people might become one (disbelieving) congregation, we would have granted everyone who disbelieves in the Most Gracious mansions with silver roofs, and stairs upon which they could climb.
286 | [43:45] Line:4370 |
| ||
[YA]: And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? [RK]:Check the messengers we sent before you: "Have we ever appointed any other gods - beside the Most Gracious - to be worshipped?"
287 | [43:56] Line:4381 |
| ||
[YA]: And We made them (a people) of the Past and an Example to later ages. [RK]:We rendered them a precedent and an example for the others.
288 | [43:59] Line:4384 |
| ||
[YA]: He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. [RK]:He was no more than a servant whom we blessed, and we sent him as an example for the Children of Israel.
289 | [43:60] Line:4385 |
| ||
[YA]: And if it were Our Will, We could make angels from amongst you, succeeding each other on the earth. [RK]:If we willed, we could have made you angels who colonize and reproduce on earth.
290 | [45:18] Line:4491 |
| ||
[YA]: Then We put thee on the (right) Way of Religion: so follow thou that (Way), and follow not the desires of those who know not. [RK]:We then appointed you to establish the correct laws; you shall follow this, and do not follow the wishes of those who do not know.
291 | [45:21] Line:4494 |
| ||
[YA]: What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the judgment that they make. [RK]:Do those who work evil expect that we will treat them in the same manner as those who believe and lead a righteous life? Can their life and their death be the same? Wrong indeed is their judgment.
292 | [45:23] Line:4496 |
| ||
[YA]: Then seest thou such a one as takes as his god his own vain desire? Allah has, knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart (and understanding), and put a cover on his sight. Who, then, will guide him after Allah (has withdrawn Guidance)? Will ye not then receive admonition? [RK]:Have you noted the one whose god is his ego? Consequently, GOD sends him astray, despite his knowledge, seals his hearing and his mind, and places a veil on his eyes. Who then can guide him, after such a decision by GOD? Would you not take heed?
293 | [46:26] Line:4536 |
| ||
[YA]: And We had firmly established them in a (prosperity and) power which We have not given to you (ye Quraish!) and We had endowed them with (faculties of) hearing, seeing, heart and intellect: but of no profit to them were their (faculties of) hearing, sight, and heart and intellect, when they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah; and they were (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at! [RK]:We had established them in the same way as we established you, and provided them with hearing, eyes, and minds. But their hearing, eyes, and minds did not help them at all. This is because they decided to disregard GOD's revelations. Thus, the prophecies and warnings that they ridiculed have caused their doom.
294 | [48:26] Line:4609 |
| ||
[YA]: While the Unbelievers got up in their hearts heat and cant - the heat and cant of ignorance,- Allah sent down His Tranquillity to his Messenger and to the Believers, and made them stick close to the command of self-restraint; and well were they entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah has full knowledge of all things. [RK]:While those who disbelieved were enraged, and their hearts were filled with the pride of the days of ignorance, GOD blessed His messenger and the believers with peaceful contentment, and directed them to uphold the word of righteousness. This is what they well deserved. GOD is fully aware of all things.
295 | [48:27] Line:4610 |
| ||
[YA]: Truly did Allah fulfil the vision for His Messenger: ye shall enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah wills, with minds secure, heads shaved, hair cut short, and without fear. For He knew what ye knew not, and He granted, besides this, a speedy victory. [RK]:GOD has fulfilled His messenger's truthful vision: "You will enter the Sacred Masjid, GOD willing, perfectly secure, and you will cut your hair or shorten it (as you fulfill the pilgrimage rituals) there. You will not have any fear. Since He knew what you did not know, He has coupled this with an immediate victory."
296 | [49:13] Line:4625 |
| ||
[YA]: O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). [RK]:O people, we created you from the same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant.
297 | [50:26] Line:4656 |
| ||
[YA]: "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." [RK]:He set up beside GOD another god. Throw him into severe retribution.
298 | [51:42] Line:4717 |
| ||
[YA]: It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. [RK]:Anything that it came upon was utterly destroyed.
299 | [51:51] Line:4726 |
| ||
[YA]: And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! [RK]:Do not set up beside GOD any other god. I am sent by Him to you as a manifest warner.
300 | [56:36] Line:5015 |
| ||
[YA]: And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - [RK]:Never previously touched.
