WaAAala alththalathatiallatheena khullifoo hatta itha daqatAAalayhimu al-ardu bima rahubat wadaqatAAalayhim anfusuhum wathannoo an la maljaamina Allahi illa ilayhi thumma tabaAAalayhim liyatooboo inna Allaha huwa alttawwabualrraheemuوعلي الثلاثة الذين خلفوا حتي اذا ضاقت عليهم الارض بما رحبت وضاقت عليهم انفسهم وظنوا ان لاملجا من الله الا اليه ثم تاب عليهم ليتوبوا ان الله هو التواب الرحيم
[YA]: (He turned in mercy also) to the three who were left behind; (they felt guilty) to such a degree that the earth seemed constrained to them, for all its spaciousness, and their (very) souls seemed straitened to them,- and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah (and no refuge) but to Himself. Then He turned to them, that they might repent: for Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.

[RK]:Also (redeemed were) the three who stayed behind. The spacious earth became so straitened for them, that they almost gave up all hope for themselves. Finally, they realized that there was no escape from GOD, except to Him. He then redeemed them that they may repent. GOD is the Redeemer, Most Merciful.

Awa la yarawna annahum yuftanoonafee kulli AAamin marratan aw marratayni thumma layatooboona wala hum yaththakkaroonaاو لايرون انهم يفتنون في كل عام مرة او مرتين ثم لايتوبون ولاهم يذكرون
[YA]: See they not that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet they turn not in repentance, and they take no heed.

[RK]:Do they not see that they suffer from exacting trials every year once or twice? Yet, they consistently fail to repent, and fail to take heed?

Wa-itha ma onzilat sooratunnathara baAAduhum ila baAAdinhal yarakum min ahadin thumma insarafoo sarafaAllahu quloobahum bi-annahum qawmun la yafqahoonaواذا ماانزلت سورة نظر بعضهم الي بعض هل يراكم من احد ثم انصرفوا صرف الله قلوبهم بانهم قوم لايفقهون
[YA]: Whenever there cometh down a Sura, they look at each other, (saying), "Doth anyone see you?" Then they turn aside: Allah hath turned their hearts (from the light); for they are a people that understand not.

[RK]:Whenever a sura was revealed, some of them would look at each other as if to say: "Does anyone see you?" Then they left. Thus, GOD has diverted their hearts, for they are people who do not comprehend.

Inna rabbakumu Allahu allatheekhalaqa alssamawati waal-ardafee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAalaalAAarshi yudabbiru al-amra ma min shafeeAAin illamin baAAdi ithnihi thalikumu Allahu rabbukumfaoAAbudoohu afala tathakkaroonaان ربكم الله الذي خلق السماوات والارض في ستة ايام ثم استوي علي العرش يدبر الامر مامن شفيع الا من بعد اذنه ذلكم الله ربكم فاعبدوه افلا تذكرون
[YA]: Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition?

[RK]:Your only Lord is GOD; the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then assumed all authority. He controls all matters. There is no intercessor, except in accordance with His will. Such is GOD your Lord. You shall worship Him. Would you not take heed?

Ilayhi marjiAAukum jameeAAan waAAda Allahihaqqan innahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu liyajziyaallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihatibialqisti waallatheena kafaroo lahumsharabun min hameemin waAAathabun aleemunbima kanoo yakfuroonaاليه مرجعكم جميعا وعد الله حقا انه يبدؤ الخلق ثم يعيده ليجزي الذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات بالقسط والذين كفروا لهم شراب من حميم وعذاب اليم بما كانوا يكفرون
[YA]: To Him will be your return- of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He Who beginneth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness; but those who reject Him will have draughts of boiling fluids, and a penalty grievous, because they did reject Him.

[RK]:To Him is your ultimate return, all of you. This is GOD's truthful promise. He initiates the creation, then repeats it, in order to reward those who believe and lead a righteous life, equitably. As for those who disbelieve, they incur hellish drinks, and a painful retribution for their disbelieving.

Thumma jaAAalnakum khala-ifafee al-ardi min baAAdihim linanthura kayfataAAmaloonaثم جعلناكم خلائف في الارض من بعدهم لننظر كيف تعملون
[YA]: Then We made you heirs in the land after them, to see how ye would behave!

[RK]:Then we made you inheritors of the earth after them, to see how you will do.

Falamma anjahum ithahum yabghoona fee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi yaayyuha alnnasu innama baghyukum AAalaanfusikum mataAAa alhayati alddunyathumma ilayna marjiAAukum fanunabbi-okum bimakuntum taAAmaloona فلما انجاهم اذاهم يبغون في الارض بغير الحق ياايها الناس انما بغيكم علي انفسكم متاع الحياة الدنيا ثم الينا مرجعكم فننبئكم بما كنتم تعملون
[YA]: But when he delivereth them, behold! they transgress insolently through the earth in defiance of right! O mankind! your insolence is against your own souls,- an enjoyment of the life of the present: in the end, to Us is your return, and We shall show you the truth of all that ye did.

[RK]:But as soon as He saves them, they transgress on earth, and oppose the truth. O people, your transgression is only to the detriment of your own souls. You remain preoccupied with this worldly life, then to us is your ultimate return, then we inform you of everything you had done.

Wayawma nahshuruhum jameeAAan thummanaqoolu lillatheena ashrakoo makanakum antumwashurakaokum fazayyalna baynahum waqalashurakaohum ma kuntum iyyanataAAbudoonaويوم نحشرهم جميعا ثم نقول للذين اشركوا مكانكم انتم وشركاؤكم فزيلنا بينهم وقال شركاؤهم ماكنتم ايانا تعبدون
[YA]: One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us): "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say: "It was not us that ye worshipped!

[RK]:On the day when we summon them all, we will say to those who worshipped idols, "We have summoned you, together with your idols." We will have them confront each other, and their idols will say to them, "We had no idea that you idolized us.

[YA]: Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?"

[RK]:Say, "Can any of your idols initiate creation, then repeat it?" Say, "GOD initiates the creation, then repeats it."

[YA]: Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?"

[RK]:Say, "Can any of your idols initiate creation, then repeat it?" Say, "GOD initiates the creation, then repeats it."

Wa-imma nuriyannaka baAAdaallathee naAAiduhum aw natawaffayannaka fa-ilaynamarjiAAuhum thumma Allahu shaheedun AAala mayafAAaloonaواما نرينك بعض الذي نعدهم او نتوفينك فالينا مرجعهم ثم الله شهيد علي مايفعلون
[YA]: Whether We show thee (realised in thy life-time) some part of what We promise them,- or We take thy soul (to Our Mercy) (Before that),- in any case, to Us is their return: ultimately Allah is witness, to all that they do.

[RK]:Whether we show you some (of the retribution) we promise them, or terminate your life before that, to us is their ultimate return. GOD witnesses everything they do.

Thumma qeela lillatheena thalamoothooqoo AAathaba alkhuldi hal tujzawna illabima kuntum taksiboonaثم قيل للذين ظلموا ذوقوا عذاب الخلد هل تجزون الا بماكنتم تكسبون
[YA]: "At length will be said to the wrong-doers: 'Taste ye the enduring punishment! ye get but the recompense of what ye earned!'"

[RK]:It will be said to the transgressors, "Taste the eternal retribution. Are you not requited precisely for what you have earned?"

[YA]: A little enjoyment in this world!- and then, to Us will be their return, then shall We make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies.

[RK]:They get their temporary share in this world, then to us is their ultimate return, then we commit them to severe retribution for their disbelieving.

[YA]: Relate to them the story of Noah. Behold! he said to his people: "O my people, if it be hard on your (mind) that I should stay (with you) and commemorate the signs of Allah,- yet I put my trust in Allah. Get ye then an agreement about your plan and among your partners, so your plan be on to you dark and dubious. Then pass your sentence on me, and give me no respite.

[RK]:Recite for them the history of Noah. He said to his people, "O my people, if you find my position and my reminding you of GOD's revelations too much for you, then I put my trust in GOD. You should get together with your leaders, agree on a final decision among yourselves, then let me know it without delay.

Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihi rusulanila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinatifama kanoo liyu/minoo bima kaththaboobihi min qablu kathalika natbaAAu AAalaquloobi almuAAtadeenaثم بعثنا من بعده رسلا الي قومهم فجاؤوهم بالبينات فما كانوا ليؤمنوا بما كذبوا به من قبل كذلك نطبع علي قلوب المعتدين
[YA]: Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors.

[RK]:Then we sent after him messengers to their people, and they showed them clear proofs. But they were not to believe in what they had rejected in the past. We thus seal the hearts of the transgressors.

Thumma baAAathna min baAAdihim moosawaharoona ila firAAawna wamala-ihi bi-ayatinafaistakbaroo wakanoo qawman mujrimeenaثم بعثنا من بعدهم موسي وهارون الي فرعون وملئه باياتنا فاستكبروا وكانوا قوما مجرمين
[YA]: Then after them sent We Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his chiefs with Our Signs. But they were arrogant: they were a people in sin.

[RK]:Then we sent after them Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his group, with our proofs. But they turned arrogant; and were transgressing people.

Thumma nunajjee rusulana waallatheenaamanoo kathalika haqqan AAalaynanunjee almu/mineenaثم ننجي رسلنا والذين امنوا كذلك حقا علينا ننج المؤمنين
[YA]: In the end We deliver Our messengers and those who believe: Thus is it fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe!

[RK]:We ultimately save our messengers and those who believe. It is our immutable law that we save the believers.

[YA]: A. L. R. (This is) a Book, with verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning), further explained in detail,- from One Who is Wise and Well-acquainted (with all things):

[RK]:A.L.R. This is a scripture whose verses have been perfected, then elucidated. It comes from a Most Wise, Most Cognizant.

Waani istaghfiroo rabbakum thumma toobooilayhi yumattiAAkum mataAAan hasanan ilaajalin musamman wayu/ti kulla thee fadlin fadlahuwa-in tawallaw fa-inee akhafu AAalaykum AAathabayawmin kabeerinوان استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا اليه يمتعكم متاعا حسنا الي اجل مسمي ويؤت كل ذي فضل فضله وان تولوا فاني اخاف عليكم عذاب يوم كبير
[YA]: "(And to preach thus), 'Seek ye the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance; that He may grant you enjoyment, good (and true), for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding grace on all who abound in merit! But if ye turn away, then I fear for you the penalty of a great day:

[RK]:"You shall seek your Lord's forgiveness, then repent to Him. He will then bless you generously for a predetermined period, and bestow His grace upon those who deserve it. If you turn away, then I fear for you the retribution of an awesome day."

Wala-in athaqna al-insanaminna rahmatan thumma nazaAAnahaminhu innahu layaoosun kafoorunولئن اذقنا الانسان منا رحمة ثم نزعناها منه انه ليؤس كفور
[YA]: If We give man a taste of Mercy from Ourselves, and then withdraw it from him, behold! he is in despair and (falls into) blasphemy.

[RK]:Whenever we bless the human being with mercy from us, then remove it, he turns despondent, unappreciative.

Qeela ya noohu ihbitbisalamin minna wabarakatin AAalayka waAAalaomamin mimman maAAaka waomamun sanumattiAAuhum thumma yamassuhumminna AAathabun aleemunقيل يانوح اهبط بسلام منا وبركات عليك وعلي امم ممن معك وامم سنمتعهم ثم يمسهم منا عذاب اليم
[YA]: The word came: "O Noah! Come down (from the Ark) with peace from Us, and blessing on thee and on some of the peoples (who will spring) from those with thee: but (there will be other) peoples to whom We shall grant their pleasures (for a time), but in the end will a grievous penalty reach them from Us."

[RK]:It was proclaimed: "O Noah, disembark, with peace and blessings upon you, and upon nations who will descend from your companions. As for the other nations descending from you, we will bless them for awhile, then commit them to painful retribution."

Waya qawmi istaghfiroo rabbakumthumma tooboo ilayhi yursili alssamaa AAalaykummidraran wayazidkum quwwatan ila quwwatikum walatatawallaw mujrimeenaوياقوم استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا اليه يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا ويزدكم قوة الي قوتكم ولاتتولوا مجرمين
[YA]: "And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!"

[RK]:"O my people, seek forgiveness from your Lord, then repent to Him. He will then shower you with provisions from the sky, and augment your strength. Do not turn back into transgressors."

[YA]: "Other gods as partners! so scheme (your worst) against me, all of you, and give me no respite.

[RK]:"beside Him. So, give me your collective decision, without delay.

Wa-ila thamooda akhahum salihanqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha malakum min ilahin ghayruhu huwa anshaakum mina al-ardiwaistaAAmarakum feeha faistaghfiroohu thummatooboo ilayhi inna rabbee qareebun mujeebunوالي ثمود اخاهم صالحا قال ياقوم اعبدوا الله مالكم من اله غيره هو انشاكم من الارض واستعمركم فيها فاستغفروه ثم توبوا اليه ان ربي قريب مجيب
[YA]: To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. It is He Who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him, and turn to Him (in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near, ready to answer."

[RK]:To Thamoud we sent their brother Saaleh. He said, "O my people, worship GOD; you have no other god beside Him. He initiated you from the earth, then settled you in it. You shall seek His forgiveness, then repent to Him. My Lord is always near, responsive."

Waistaghfiroo rabbakum thumma toobooilayhi inna rabbee raheemun wadoodunواستغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا اليه ان ربي رحيم ودود
[YA]: "But ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance): For my Lord is indeed full of mercy and loving-kindness."

[RK]:"You shall implore your Lord for forgiveness, then repent to Him. My Lord is Most Merciful, Kind."

Wala tarkanoo ila allatheenathalamoo fatamassakumu alnnaru wamalakum min dooni Allahi min awliyaa thumma latunsaroonaولاتركنوا الي الذين ظلموا فتمسكم النار ومالكم من دون الله من اولياء ثم لاتنصرون
[YA]: And incline not to those who do wrong, or the Fire will seize you; and ye have no protectors other than Allah, nor shall ye be helped.

[RK]:Do not lean towards those who have transgressed, lest you incur Hell, and find no allies to help you against GOD, then end up losers.

Thumma bada lahum min baAAdi maraawoo al-ayati layasjununnahu hatta heeninثم بدا لهم من بعد ماراوا الايات ليسجننه حتي حين
[YA]: Then it occurred to the men, after they had seen the signs, (that it was best) to imprison him for a time.

[RK]:Later, they saw to it, despite the clear proofs, that they should imprison him for awhile.

Thumma ya/tee min baAAdi thalikasabAAun shidadun ya/kulna ma qaddamtum lahunna illaqaleelan mimma tuhsinoonaثم ياتي من بعد ذلك سبع شداد ياكلن ماقدمتم لهن الا قليلا مما تحصنون
[YA]: "Then will come after that (period) seven dreadful (years), which will devour what ye shall have laid by in advance for them,- (all) except a little which ye shall have (specially) guarded.

[RK]:"After that, seven years of drought will come, which will consume most of what you stored for them.

Thumma ya/tee min baAAdi thalika AAamunfeehi yughathu alnnasu wafeehi yaAAsiroonaثم ياتي من بعد ذلك عام فيه يغاث الناس وفيه يعصرون
[YA]: "Then will come after that (period) a year in which the people will have abundant water, and in which they will press (wine and oil)."

[RK]:"After that, a year will come that brings relief for the people, and they will, once again, press juice."

[YA]: At length when he had furnished them forth with provisions (suitable) for them, he put the drinking cup into his brother's saddle-bag. Then shouted out a crier: "O ye (in) the caravan! behold! ye are thieves, without doubt!"

[RK]:When he provided them with their provisions, he placed the drinking cup in his brother's bag, then an announcer announced: "The owners of this caravan are thieves."

Fabadaa bi-awAAiyatihim qabla wiAAa-iakheehi thumma istakhrajaha min wiAAa-i akheehi kathalikakidna liyoosufa ma kana liya/khuthaakhahu fee deeni almaliki illa an yashaa AllahunarfaAAu darajatin man nashao wafawqa kulli theeAAilmin AAaleemunفبدا باوعيتهم قبل وعاء اخيه ثم استخرجها من وعاء اخيه كذلك كدنا ليوسف ما كان لياخذ اخاه في دين الملك الا ان يشاء الله نرفع درجات من نشاء وفوق كل ذي علم عليم
[YA]: So he began (the search) with their baggage, before (he came to) the baggage of his brother: at length he brought it out of his brother's baggage. Thus did We plan for Joseph. He could not take his brother by the law of the king except that Allah willed it (so). We raise to degrees (of wisdom) whom We please: but over all endued with knowledge is one, the All-Knowing.

[RK]:He then started by inspecting their containers, before getting to his brother's container, and he extracted it out of his brother's container. We thus perfected the scheme for Joseph; he could not have kept his brother if he applied the king's law. But that was the will of GOD. We exalt whomever we choose to higher ranks. Above every knowledgeable one, there is one who is even more knowledgeable.

Allahu allathee rafaAAa alssamawatibighayri AAamadin tarawnaha thumma istawa AAalaalAAarshi wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara kullunyajree li-ajalin musamman yudabbiru al-amra yufassilu al-ayatilaAAallakum biliqa-i rabbikum tooqinoonaالله الذي رفع السماوات بغير عمد ترونها ثم استوي علي العرش وسخرالشمس والقمر كل يجري لاجل مسمي يدبر الامر يفصل الايات لعلكم بلقاء ربكم توقنون
[YA]: Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.

[RK]:GOD is the One who raised the heavens without pillars that you can see, then assumed all authority. He committed the sun and the moon, each running (in its orbit) for a predetermined period. He controls all things, and explains the revelations, that you may attain certainty about meeting your Lord.

[YA]: Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the unbelievers, and finally I punished them: Then how (terrible) was my requital!

[RK]:Messengers before you have been ridiculed; I permitted the disbelievers to carry on, then I punished them. How terrible was My retribution!

Thumma yawma alqiyamati yukhzeehimwayaqoolu ayna shuraka-iya allatheena kuntum tushaqqoonafeehim qala allatheena ootoo alAAilma inna alkhizyaalyawma waalssoo-a AAala alkafireenaثم يوم القيامة يخزيهم ويقول اين شركائي الذين كنتم تشاقون فيهم قال الذين اوتوا العلم ان الخزي اليوم والسوء علي الكافرين
[YA]: Then, on the Day of Judgment, He will cover them with shame, and say: "Where are My 'partners' concerning whom ye used to dispute (with the godly)?" Those endued with knowledge will say: "This Day, indeed, are the Unbelievers covered with shame and misery,-

[RK]:Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them and ask, "Where are My partners that you had set up beside Me, and had opposed Me for their sake?" Those blessed with knowledge will say, "Today, the shame and misery have befallen the disbelievers."

Wama bikum min niAAmatin famina Allahithumma itha massakumu alddurru fa-ilayhitaj-aroonaومابكم من نعمة فمن الله ثم اذا مسكم الضر فاليه تجارون
[YA]: And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans;

[RK]:Any blessing you enjoy is from GOD. Yet, whenever you incur any adversity you immediately complain to Him.

Thumma itha kashafa alddurraAAankum itha fareequn minkum birabbihim yushrikoonaثم اذا كشف الضر عنكم اذا فريق منكم بربهم يشركون
[YA]: Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord-

[RK]:Yet, as soon as He relieves your affliction, some of you revert to idol worship.

Thumma kulee min kulli alththamaratifaoslukee subula rabbiki thululan yakhruju min butoonihasharabun mukhtalifun alwanuhu feehi shifaonlilnnasi inna fee thalika laayatanliqawmin yatafakkaroonaثم كلي من كل الثمرات فاسلكي سبل ربك ذللا يخرج من بطونها شراب مختلف الوانه فيه شفاء للناس ان في ذلك لاية لقوم يتفكرون
[YA]: Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought.

[RK]:Then eat from all the fruits, following the design of your Lord, precisely. From their bellies comes a drink of different colors, wherein there is healing for the people. This should be (sufficient) proof for people who reflect.

WaAllahu khalaqakum thummayatawaffakum waminkum man yuraddu ila arthalialAAumuri likay la yaAAlama baAAda AAilmin shay-an innaAllaha AAaleemun qadeerunوالله خلقكم ثم يتوفاكم ومنكم من يرد الي ارذل العمر لكي لايعلم بعد علم شيئا ان الله عليم قدير
[YA]: It is Allah who creates you and takes your souls at death; and of you there are some who are sent back to a feeble age, so that they know nothing after having known (much): for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.

[RK]:GOD created you, then He terminates your lives. He lets some of you live to the oldest age, only to find out that there is a limit to the knowledge they can acquire. GOD is Omniscient, Omnipotent.

YaAArifoona niAAmata Allahi thummayunkiroonaha waaktharuhumu alkafiroonaيعرفون نعمة الله ثم ينكرونها واكثرهم الكافرون
[YA]: They recognise the favours of Allah; then they deny them; and most of them are (creatures) ungrateful.

[RK]:They fully recognize GOD's blessings, then deny them; the majority of them are disbelievers.

Wayawma nabAAathu min kulli ommatinshaheedan thumma la yu/thanu lillatheenakafaroo wala hum yustaAAtaboonaويوم نبعث من كل امة شهيدا ثم لايؤذن للذين كفروا ولاهم يستعتبون
[YA]: One Day We shall raise from all Peoples a Witness: then will no excuse be accepted from Unbelievers, nor will they receive any favours.

[RK]:The day will come when we raise from every community a witness, then those who disbelieved will not be permitted (to speak), nor will they be excused.

Thumma inna rabbaka lillatheena hajaroomin baAAdi ma futinoo thumma jahadoo wasabarooinna rabbaka min baAAdiha laghafoorun raheemunثم ان ربك للذين هاجروا من بعد مافتنوا ثم جاهدوا وصبروا ان ربك من بعدها لغفور رحيم
[YA]: But verily thy Lord,- to those who leave their homes after trials and persecutions,- and who thereafter strive and fight for the faith and patiently persevere,- Thy Lord, after all this is oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

[RK]:As for those who emigrate because of persecution, then continue to strive and steadfastly persevere, your Lord, because of all this, is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

[YA]: So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah."

[RK]:Then we inspired you (Muhammad) to follow the religion of Abraham, the monotheist; he never was an idol worshiper.

Thumma radadna lakumu alkarrataAAalayhim waamdadnakum bi-amwalin wabaneenawajaAAalnakum akthara nafeeranثم رددنا لكم الكرة عليهم وامددناكم باموال وبنين وجعلناكم اكثر نفيرا
[YA]: Then did We grant you the Return as against them: We gave you increase in resources and sons, and made you the more numerous in man-power.

[RK]:"Afterwards, we will give you a turn over them, and will supply you with a lot of wealth and children; we will give you the upper hand.

Man kana yureedu alAAajilataAAajjalna lahu feeha ma nashao limannureedu thumma jaAAalna lahu jahannama yaslahamathmooman madhooranمن كان يريد العاجلة عجلنا له فيها مانشاء لمن نريد ثم جعلنا له جهنم يصلاها مذموما مدحورا
[YA]: If any do wish for the transitory things (of this life), We readily grant them - such things as We will, to such person as We will: in the end have We provided Hell for them: they will burn therein, disgraced and rejected.

[RK]:Anyone who chooses this fleeting life as his priority, we will rush to him what we decide to give him, then we commit him to Gehenna, where he suffers forever, despised and defeated.

Afaamintum an yakhsifa bikum janibaalbarri aw yursila AAalaykum hasiban thumma latajidoo lakum wakeelanافامنتم ان يخسف بكم جانب البر او يرسل عليكم حاصبا ثم لاتجدوا لكم وكيلا
[YA]: Do ye then feel secure that He will not cause you to be swallowed up beneath the earth when ye are on land, or that He will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones) so that ye shall find no one to carry out your affairs for you?

[RK]:Have you guaranteed that He will not cause the land, on shore, to swallow you? Or, that He will not send upon you a tempest, then you find no protector?
