[YA]: It is not lawful for thee (to marry more) women after this, nor to change them for (other) wives, even though their beauty attract thee, except any thy right hand should possess (as handmaidens): and Allah doth watch over all things. [RK]:Beyond the categories described to you, you are enjoined from marrying any other women, nor can you substitute a new wife (from the prohibited categories), no matter how much you admire their beauty. You must be content with those already made lawful to you. GOD is watchful over all things.

[YA]: There is no blame (on these ladies if they appear) before their fathers or their sons, their brothers, or their brother's sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the (slaves) whom their right hands possess. And, (ladies), fear Allah; for Allah is Witness to all things. [RK]:The women may relax (their dress code) around their fathers, their sons, their brothers, the sons of their brothers, the sons of their sisters, the other women, and their (female) servants. They shall reverence GOD. GOD witnesses all things.

[YA]: Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect. [RK]:GOD and His angels help and support the prophet. O you who believe, you shall help and support him, and regard him as he should be regarded.

[YA]: O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [RK]:O prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the wives of the believers that they shall lengthen their garments. Thus, they will be recognized (as righteous women) and avoid being insulted. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

[YA]: We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man undertook it;- He was indeed unjust and foolish;- [RK]:We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.
1058 | [34:7] Line:3613 |

[YA]: The Unbelievers say (in ridicule): "Shall we point out to you a man that will tell you, when ye are all scattered to pieces in disintegration, that ye shall (then be raised) in a New Creation? [RK]:Those who disbelieve have said, "Let us show you a man who tells you that after you are torn apart you will be created anew.
1059 | [34:8] Line:3614 |
| ||
[YA]: "Has he invented a falsehood against Allah, or has a spirit (seized) him?"- Nay, it is those who believe not in the Hereafter, that are in (real) Penalty, and in farthest error. [RK]:"Either he fabricated lies about GOD, or he is crazy." Indeed, those who disbelieve in the Hereafter have incurred the worst retribution; they have gone far astray.
1060 | [34:9] Line:3615 |

[YA]: See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance). [RK]:Have they not seen all the things in front of them and behind them, in the heaven and the earth? If we willed, we could have caused the earth to swallow them, or caused masses to fall on them from the sky. This should be a sufficient proof for every obedient servant.
1061 | [34:14] Line:3620 |

[YA]: Then, when We decreed (Solomon's) death, nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down, the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task). [RK]:When the appointed time for his death came, they had no clue that he had died. Not until one of the animals tried to eat his staff, and he fell down, did the jinns realized that he was dead. They thus realized that if they really knew the unseen, they would have stopped working so hard as soon as he died.

[YA]: But they turned away (from Allah), and We sent against them the Flood (released) from the dams, and We converted their two garden (rows) into "gardens" producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few (stunted) Lote-trees. [RK]:They turned away and, consequently, we poured upon them a disastrous flood, and we substituted their two gardens into two gardens of bad tasting fruits, thorny plants, and a skimpy harvest.
1064 | [34:20] Line:3626 |
| ||
[YA]: And on them did Satan prove true his idea, and they followed him, all but a party that believed. [RK]:Satan found them readily fulfilling his expectations. They followed him, except a few believers.
1065 | [34:21] Line:3627 |
| ||
[YA]: But he had no authority over them,- except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and thy Lord doth watch over all things. [RK]:He never had any power over them. But we thus distinguish those who believe in the Hereafter from those who are doubtful about it. Your Lord is in full control of all things.

[YA]: "No intercession can avail in His Presence, except for those for whom He has granted permission. So far (is this the case) that, when terror is removed from their hearts (at the Day of Judgment, then) will they say, 'what is it that your Lord commanded?' they will say, 'That which is true and just; and He is the Most High Most Great'." [RK]:Intercession with Him will be in vain, unless it coincides with His will. When their minds are finally settled down, and they ask, "What did your Lord say," they will say, "The truth." He is the Most High, the Most Great.
1068 | [34:24] Line:3630 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Who gives you sustenance, from the heavens and the earth?" Say: "It is Allah; and certain it is that either we or ye are on right guidance or in manifest error!" [RK]:Say, "Who provides for you, from the heavens and the earth?" Say, "GOD," and "Either we or you are guided, or have gone far astray."
1069 | [34:43] Line:3649 |
| ||
[YA]: When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them, they say, "This is only a man who wishes to hinder you from the (worship) which your fathers practised." And they say, "This is only a falsehood invented!" and the Unbelievers say of the Truth when it comes to them, "This is nothing but evident magic!" [RK]:When our proofs were recited to them, perfectly clear, they said, "This is simply a man who wants to divert you from the way your parents are worshipping." They also said, "These are fabricated lies." Those who disbelieved also said about the truth that came to them, "This is obviously magic."
1070 | [34:47] Line:3653 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "No reward do I ask of you: it is (all) in your interest: my reward is only due from Allah: And He is witness to all things." [RK]:Say, "I do not ask you for any wage; you can keep it. My wage comes only from GOD. He witnesses all things."
1071 | [34:47] Line:3653 |

[YA]: Say: "No reward do I ask of you: it is (all) in your interest: my reward is only due from Allah: And He is witness to all things." [RK]:Say, "I do not ask you for any wage; you can keep it. My wage comes only from GOD. He witnesses all things."
1072 | [34:50] Line:3656 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance, it is because of the inspiration of my Lord to me: it is He Who hears all things, and is (ever) near." [RK]:Say, "If I go astray, I go astray because of my own shortcomings. And if I am guided, it is because of my Lord's inspiration. He is Hearer, Near."
1073 | [35:1] Line:3661 |
| ||
[YA]: Praise be to Allah, Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels, messengers with wings,- two, or three, or four (pairs): He adds to Creation as He pleases: for Allah has power over all things. [RK]:Praise be to GOD, Initiator of the heavens and the earth, and appointer of the angels to be messengers with wings - two, three, and four (wings). He increases the creation as He wills. GOD is Omnipotent.
1074 | [35:3] Line:3663 |
| ||
[YA]: O men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! is there a creator, other than Allah, to give you sustenance from heaven or earth? There is no god but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth? [RK]:O people, remember GOD's blessings upon you. Is there any creator other than GOD who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? There is no other god beside Him. How could you deviate?
1075 | [35:8] Line:3668 |
| ||
[YA]: Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do! [RK]:Note the one whose evil work is adorned in his eyes, until he thinks that it is righteous. GOD thus sends astray whoever wills (to go astray), and He guides whoever wills (to be guided). Therefore, do not grieve over them. GOD is fully aware of everything they do.
1076 | [35:11] Line:3671 |
| ||
[YA]: And Allah did create you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this is easy to Allah. [RK]:GOD created you from dust, then from a tiny drop, then He causes you to reproduce through your spouses. No female becomes pregnant, nor gives birth, without His knowledge. No one survives for a long life, and no one's life is snapped short, except in accordance with a pre-existing record. This is easy for GOD.
1077 | [35:17] Line:3677 |
| ||
[YA]: Nor is that (at all) difficult for Allah. [RK]:This is not too difficult for GOD.
1078 | [35:36] Line:3696 |
| ||
[YA]: But those who reject (Allah) - for them will be the Fire of Hell: No term shall be determined for them, so they should die, nor shall its Penalty be lightened for them. Thus do We reward every ungrateful one! [RK]:As for those who disbelieve, they have incurred the fire of Hell, where they are never finished by death, nor is the retribution ever commuted for them. We thus requite the unappreciative.
1079 | [35:40] Line:3700 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Have ye seen (these) 'Partners' of yours whom ye call upon besides Allah? Show Me what it is they have created in the (wide) earth. Or have they a share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book from which they (can derive) clear (evidence)?- Nay, the wrong-doers promise each other nothing but delusions. [RK]:Say, "Consider the idols you have set up beside GOD; show me what on earth have they created." Do they own any partnership in the heavens? Have we given them a book wherein there is no doubt? Indeed, what the transgressors promise one another is no more than an illusion.
1080 | [35:45] Line:3705 |
| ||
[YA]: If Allah were to punish men according to what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires, verily Allah has in His sight all His Servants. [RK]:If GOD punished the people for their sins, He would not leave a single creature on earth. But He respites them for a predetermined interim. Once their interim is fulfilled, then GOD is Seer of His servants.
1081 | [36:4] Line:3709 |
| ||
[YA]: On a Straight Way. [RK]:On a straight path.
1082 | [36:7] Line:3712 |
| ||
[YA]: The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe. [RK]:It has been predetermined that most of them do not believe.
1083 | [36:10] Line:3715 |
| ||
[YA]: The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. [RK]:It is the same whether you warn them or not, they cannot believe.
1084 | [36:17] Line:3722 |
| ||
[YA]: "And our duty is only to proclaim the clear Message." [RK]:"Our sole mission is to deliver the message."
1085 | [36:28] Line:3733 |
| ||
[YA]: And We sent not down against his People, after him, any hosts from heaven, nor was it needful for Us so to do. [RK]:We did not send down upon his people, after him, soldiers from the sky; we did not need to send them down.
1086 | [36:30] Line:3735 |
| ||
[YA]: Ah! Alas for (My) Servants! There comes not a messenger to them but they mock him! [RK]:How sorry is the people's condition! Every time a messenger went to them, they always ridiculed him.
1087 | [36:56] Line:3761 |
| ||
[YA]: They and their associates will be in groves of (cool) shade, reclining on Thrones (of dignity); [RK]:They abide with their spouses in beautiful shade, enjoying comfortable furnishings.
1088 | [36:65] Line:3770 |
| ||
[YA]: That Day shall We set a seal on their mouths. But their hands will speak to us, and their feet bear witness, to all that they did. [RK]:On that day we will seal their mouths; their hands and feet will bear witness to everything they had done.
1089 | [36:66] Line:3771 |
| ||
[YA]: If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen? [RK]:If we will, we can veil their eyes and, consequently, when they seek the path, they will not see.
1090 | [36:67] Line:3772 |
| ||
[YA]: And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (to remain) in their places; then should they have been unable to move about, nor could they have returned (after error). [RK]:If we will, we can freeze them in place; thus, they can neither move forward, nor go back.
1091 | [36:70] Line:3775 |
| ||
[YA]: That it may give admonition to any (who are) alive, and that the charge may be proved against those who reject (Truth). [RK]:To preach to those who are alive, and to expose the disbelievers.
1092 | [36:81] Line:3786 |
| ||
[YA]: "Is not He Who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like thereof?" - Yea, indeed! for He is the Creator Supreme, of skill and knowledge (infinite)! [RK]:Is not the One who created the heavens and the earth able to recreate the same? Yes indeed; He is the Creator, the Omniscient.
1093 | [37:8] Line:3796 |
| ||
[YA]: (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, [RK]:They cannot spy on the High Society; they get bombarded from every side.
1094 | [37:27] Line:3815 |
| ||
[YA]: And they will turn to one another, and question one another. [RK]:They will come to each other, questioning and blaming one another.
1095 | [37:30] Line:3818 |
| ||
[YA]: "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! [RK]:"We never had any power over you; it is you who were wicked.
1096 | [37:31] Line:3819 |
| ||
[YA]: "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). [RK]:"We justly incurred our Lord's judgment; now we have to suffer.
1097 | [37:44] Line:3832 |
| ||
[YA]: Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): [RK]:On furnishings close to one another.
1098 | [37:45] Line:3833 |
| ||
[YA]: Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, [RK]:Cups of pure drinks will be offered to them.
1099 | [37:50] Line:3838 |
| ||
[YA]: Then they will turn to one another and question one another. [RK]:They will come to each other, and confer with one another.
1100 | [37:67] Line:3855 |
| ||
[YA]: Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. [RK]:Then they will top it with a hellish drink.
