[YA]: But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day, and look on their payments as pious gifts bringing them nearer to Allah and obtaining the prayers of the Messenger. Aye, indeed they bring them nearer (to Him): soon will Allah admit them to His Mercy: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. [RK]:Other Arabs do believe in GOD and the Last Day, and consider their spending to be a means towards GOD, and a means of supporting the messenger. Indeed, it will bring them nearer; GOD will admit them into His mercy. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
352 | [9:105] Line:1340 |
| ||
[YA]: And say: "Work (righteousness): Soon will Allah observe your work, and His Messenger, and the Believers: Soon will ye be brought back to the knower of what is hidden and what is open: then will He show you the truth of all that ye did." [RK]:Say, "Work righteousness; GOD will see your work, and so will His messenger and the believers. Ultimately, you will be returned to the Knower of all secrets and declarations, then He will inform you of everything you had done."
353 | [9:107] Line:1342 |
| ||
[YA]: And there are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and infidelity - to disunite the Believers - and in preparation for one who warred against Allah and His Messenger aforetime. They will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good; But Allah doth declare that they are certainly liars. [RK]:There are those who abuse the masjid by practicing idol worship, dividing the believers, and providing comfort to those who oppose GOD and His messenger. They solemnly swear: "Our intentions are honorable!" GOD bears witness that they are liars.
354 | [9:109] Line:1344 |
| ||
[YA]: Which then is best? - he that layeth his foundation on piety to Allah and His good pleasure? - or he that layeth his foundation on an undermined sand-cliff ready to crumble to pieces? and it doth crumble to pieces with him, into the fire of Hell. And Allah guideth not people that do wrong. [RK]:Is one who establishes his building on the basis of reverencing GOD and to gain His approval better, or one who establishes his building on the brink of a crumbling cliff, that falls down with him into the fire of Hell? GOD does not guide the transgressing people.
355 | [9:111] Line:1346 |
| ||
[YA]: Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur'an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme. [RK]:GOD has bought from the believers their lives and their money in exchange for Paradise. Thus, they fight in the cause of GOD, willing to kill and get killed. Such is His truthful pledge in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran - and who fulfills His pledge better than GOD? You shall rejoice in making such an exchange. This is the greatest triumph.
356 | [9:112] Line:1347 |
| ||
[YA]: Those that turn (to Allah) in repentance; that serve Him, and praise Him; that wander in devotion to the cause of Allah,: that bow down and prostrate themselves in prayer; that enjoin good and forbid evil; and observe the limit set by Allah;- (These do rejoice). So proclaim the glad tidings to the Believers. [RK]:They are the repenters, the worshipers, the praisers, the meditators, the bowing and prostrating, the advocators of righteousness and forbidders of evil, and the keepers of GOD's laws. Give good news to such believers.
357 | [9:113] Line:1348 |
| ||
[YA]: It is not fitting, for the Prophet and those who believe, that they should pray for forgiveness for Pagans, even though they be of kin, after it is clear to them that they are companions of the Fire. [RK]:Neither the prophet, nor those who believe shall ask forgiveness for the idol worshipers, even if they were their nearest of kin, once they realize that they are destined for Hell.
358 | [9:119] Line:1354 |
| ||
[YA]: O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed). [RK]:O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and be among the truthful.
359 | [9:122] Line:1357 |
| ||
[YA]: Nor should the Believers all go forth together: if a contingent from every expedition remained behind, they could devote themselves to studies in religion, and admonish the people when they return to them,- that thus they (may learn) to guard themselves (against evil). [RK]:When the believers mobilize, not all of them shall do so. A few from each group shall mobilize by devoting their time to studying the religion. Thus, they can pass the knowledge on to their people when they return, that they may remain religiously informed.
360 | [9:123] Line:1358 |
| ||
[YA]: O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him. [RK]:O you who believe, you shall fight the disbelievers who attack you - let them find you stern - and know that GOD is with the righteous.
361 | [9:124] Line:1359 |
| ||
[YA]: Whenever there cometh down a sura, some of them say: "Which of you has had His faith increased by it?" Yea, those who believe,- their faith is increased and they do rejoice. [RK]:When a sura was revealed, some of them would say, "Did this sura strengthen the faith of anyone among you?" Indeed, it did strengthen the faith of those who believed, and they rejoice in any revelation.
362 | [9:128] Line:1363 |
| ||
[YA]: Now hath come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful. [RK]:(No Translation)
363 | [10:2] Line:1366 |
| ||
[YA]: Is it a matter of wonderment to men that We have sent Our inspiration to a man from among themselves?- that he should warn mankind (of their danger), and give the good news to the Believers that they have before their Lord the lofty rank of truth. (But) say the Unbelievers: "This is indeed an evident sorcerer!" [RK]:Is it too much of a wonder for the people that we inspired a man like them? He (was inspired to say), "You shall warn the people, and give good news to those who believe that they have attained a position of prominence at their Lord." The disbelievers said, "This is a clever magician!"
364 | [10:4] Line:1368 |
| ||
[YA]: To Him will be your return- of all of you. The promise of Allah is true and sure. It is He Who beginneth the process of creation, and repeateth it, that He may reward with justice those who believe and work righteousness; but those who reject Him will have draughts of boiling fluids, and a penalty grievous, because they did reject Him. [RK]:To Him is your ultimate return, all of you. This is GOD's truthful promise. He initiates the creation, then repeats it, in order to reward those who believe and lead a righteous life, equitably. As for those who disbelieve, they incur hellish drinks, and a painful retribution for their disbelieving.
365 | [10:9] Line:1373 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who believe, and work righteousness,- their Lord will guide them because of their faith: beneath them will flow rivers in gardens of bliss. [RK]:As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, their Lord guides them, by virtue of their belief. Rivers will flow beneath them in the gardens of bliss.
366 | [10:13] Line:1377 |
| ||
[YA]: Generations before you We destroyed when they did wrong: their messengers came to them with clear-signs, but they would not believe! thus do We requite those who sin! [RK]:Many a generation we have annihilated before you when they transgressed. Their messengers went to them with clear proofs, but they refused to believe. We thus requite the guilty people.
367 | [10:31] Line:1395 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?" [RK]:Say, "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Who controls all the hearing and the eyesight? Who produces the living from the dead, and the dead from the living? Who is in control of all things?" They would say, "GOD." Say, "Why then do you not observe the commandments?"
368 | [10:33] Line:1397 |
| ||
[YA]: Thus is the word of thy Lord proved true against those who rebel: Verily they will not believe. [RK]:This is what your Lord's decision does to those who choose to be wicked: they cannot believe.
369 | [10:35] Line:1399 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?" [RK]:Say, "Does any of your idols guide to the truth?" Say, "GOD guides to the truth. Is one who guides to the truth more worthy of being followed, or one who does not guide, and needs guidance for himself? What is wrong with your judgment?"
370 | [10:40] Line:1404 |
| ||
[YA]: Of them there are some who believe therein, and some who do not: and thy Lord knoweth best those who are out for mischief. [RK]:Some of them believe (in this scripture), while others disbelieve in it. Your Lord is fully aware of the evildoers.
371 | [10:40] Line:1404 |

[YA]: Of them there are some who believe therein, and some who do not: and thy Lord knoweth best those who are out for mischief. [RK]:Some of them believe (in this scripture), while others disbelieve in it. Your Lord is fully aware of the evildoers.
372 | [10:51] Line:1415 |
| ||
[YA]: "Would ye then believe in it at last, when it actually cometh to pass? (It will then be said): 'Ah! now? and ye wanted (aforetime) to hasten it on!' [RK]:"If it does happen, will you believe then? Why should you believe then? You used to challenge it to come?"
373 | [10:57] Line:1421 |
| ||
[YA]: O mankind! there hath come to you a direction from your Lord and a healing for the (diseases) in your hearts,- and for those who believe, a guidance and a Mercy. [RK]:O people, enlightenment has come to you herein from your Lord, and healing for anything that troubles your hearts, and guidance, and mercy for the believers.
374 | [10:63] Line:1427 |
| ||
[YA]: Those who believe and (constantly) guard against evil;- [RK]:They are those who believe and lead a righteous life.
375 | [10:74] Line:1438 |
| ||
[YA]: Then after him We sent (many) messengers to their peoples: they brought them Clear Signs, but they would not believe what they had already rejected beforehand. Thus do We seal the hearts of the transgressors. [RK]:Then we sent after him messengers to their people, and they showed them clear proofs. But they were not to believe in what they had rejected in the past. We thus seal the hearts of the transgressors.
376 | [10:78] Line:1442 |
| ||
[YA]: They said: "Hast thou come to us to turn us away from the ways we found our fathers following,- in order that thou and thy brother may have greatness in the land? But not we shall believe in you!" [RK]:They said, "Did you come to divert us from what we found our parents doing, and to attain positions of prominence for yourselves? We will never join you as believers."
377 | [10:83] Line:1447 |
| ||
[YA]: But none believed in Moses except some children of his people, because of the fear of Pharaoh and his chiefs, lest they should persecute them; and certainly Pharaoh was mighty on the earth and one who transgressed all bounds. [RK]:None believed with Moses except a few of his people, while fearing the tyranny of Pharaoh and his elders. Surely, Pharaoh was much too arrogant on earth, and a real tyrant.
378 | [10:84] Line:1448 |
| ||
[YA]: Moses said: "O my people! If ye do (really) believe in Allah, then in Him put your trust if ye submit (your will to His)." [RK]:Moses said, "O my people, if you have really believed in GOD, then put your trust in Him, if you are really submitters."
379 | [10:87] Line:1451 |
| ||
[YA]: We inspired Moses and his brother with this Message: "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, make your dwellings into places of worship, and establish regular prayers: and give glad tidings to those who believe!" [RK]:We inspired Moses and his brother. "Maintain your homes in Egypt for the time being, turn your homes into synagogues, and maintain the Contact Prayers (Salat). Give good news to the believers."
380 | [10:88] Line:1452 |
| ||
[YA]: Moses prayed: "Our Lord! Thou hast indeed bestowed on Pharaoh and his chiefs splendour and wealth in the life of the present, and so, Our Lord, they mislead (men) from Thy Path. Deface our Lord, the features of their wealth, and send hardness to their hearts, so they will not believe until they see the grievous penalty." [RK]:Moses said, "Our Lord, you have given Pharaoh and his elders luxuries and wealth in this world. Our Lord, they only use them to repulse others from Your path. Our Lord, wipe out their wealth, and harden their hearts to prevent them from believing, until they see the painful retribution."
381 | [10:90] Line:1454 |
| ||
[YA]: We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)." [RK]:We delivered the Children of Israel across the sea. Pharaoh and his troops pursued them, aggressively and sinfully. When drowning became a reality for him, he said, "I believe that there is no god except the One in whom the Children of Israel have believed; I am a submitter."

383 | [10:96] Line:1460 |
| ||
[YA]: Those against whom the word of thy Lord hath been verified would not believe- [RK]:Surely, those condemned by a decree from your Lord cannot believe.
384 | [10:98] Line:1462 |
| ||
[YA]: Why was there not a single township (among those We warned), which believed,- so its faith should have profited it,- except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the penalty of ignominy in the life of the present, and permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. [RK]:Any community that believes will surely be rewarded for believing. For example, the people of Jonah: when they believed, we relieved the humiliating retribution they had been suffering in this world, and we made them prosperous.

386 | [10:99] Line:1463 |
| ||
[YA]: If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed,- all who are on earth! wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe! [RK]:Had your Lord willed, all the people on earth would have believed. Do you want to force the people to become believers?
387 | [10:100] Line:1464 |
| ||
[YA]: No soul can believe, except by the will of Allah, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand. [RK]:No soul can believe except in accordance with GOD's will. For He places a curse upon those who refuse to understand.
388 | [10:101] Line:1465 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not. [RK]:Say, "Look at all the signs in the heavens and the earth." All the proofs and all the warnings can never help people who decided to disbelieve.
389 | [10:103] Line:1467 |
| ||
[YA]: In the end We deliver Our messengers and those who believe: Thus is it fitting on Our part that We should deliver those who believe! [RK]:We ultimately save our messengers and those who believe. It is our immutable law that we save the believers.

391 | [10:104] Line:1468 |
| ||
[YA]: Say: "O ye men! If ye are in doubt as to my religion, (behold!) I worship not what ye worship, other than Allah! But I worship Allah - Who will take your souls (at death): I am commanded to be (in the ranks) of the Believers, [RK]:Say, "O people, if you have any doubt regarding my religion, I do not worship what you worship beside GOD. I worship GOD alone; the One who will terminate your lives. I am commanded to be a believer."
392 | [11:17] Line:1490 |
| ||
[YA]: Can they be (like) those who accept a Clear (Sign) from their Lord, and whom a witness from Himself doth teach, as did the Book of Moses before it,- a guide and a mercy? They believe therein; but those of the Sects that reject it,- the Fire will be their promised meeting-place. Be not then in doubt thereon: for it is the truth from thy Lord: yet many among men do not believe! [RK]:As for those who are given solid proof from their Lord, reported by a witness from Him, and before it, the book of Moses has set a precedent and a mercy, they will surely believe. As for those who disbelieve among the various groups, Hell is awaiting them. Do not harbor any doubt; this is the truth from your Lord, but most people disbelieve.

[YA]: But those who believe and work righteousness, and humble themselves before their Lord,- They will be companions of the gardens, to dwell therein for aye! [RK]:As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, and devote themselves to their Lord, they are the dwellers of Paradise; they abide therein forever.
395 | [11:29] Line:1502 |
| ||
[YA]: "And O my people! I ask you for no wealth in return: my reward is from none but Allah: But I will not drive away (in contempt) those who believe: for verily they are to meet their Lord, and ye I see are the ignorant ones! [RK]:"O my people, I do not ask you for any money; my wage comes only from GOD. I am not dismissing those who believed; they will meet their Lord (and He alone will judge them). I see that you are ignorant people.
396 | [11:36] Line:1509 |
| ||
[YA]: It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds. [RK]:Noah was inspired: "No more of your people are going to believe, beyond those who already believe. Do not be saddened by their actions.

[YA]: At length, behold! there came Our command, and the fountains of the earth gushed forth! We said: "Embark therein, of each kind two, male and female, and your family - except those against whom the word has already gone forth,- and the Believers." but only a few believed with him. [RK]:When our judgment came, and the atmosphere boiled over, we said, "Carry on it a pair of each kind, together with your family, except those who are condemned. Carry with you those who have believed," and only a few have believed with him.

[YA]: They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) that hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee! [RK]:They said, "O Hood, you did not show us any proof, and we are not abandoning our gods on account of what you say. We will never be believers with you.
