Faakhathnahu wajunoodahufanabathnahum fee alyammi faonthurkayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeenaفاخذناه وجنوده فنبذناهم في اليم فانظر كيف كان عاقبة الظالمين
[YA]: So We seized him and his hosts, and We flung them into the sea: Now behold what was the end of those who did wrong!

[RK]:Consequently, we punished him and his troops, by throwing them into the sea. Note the consequences for the transgressors.

Walakinna ansha-naquroonan fatatawala AAalayhimu alAAumuru wama kuntathawiyan fee ahli madyana tatloo AAalayhim ayatinawalakinna kunna mursileenaولكنا انشانا قرونا فتطاول عليهم العمر وماكنت ثاويا في اهل مدين تتلو عليهم اياتنا ولكنا كنا مرسلين
[YA]: But We raised up (new) generations, and long were the ages that passed over them; but thou wast not a dweller among the people of Madyan, rehearsing Our Signs to them; but it is We Who send messengers (with inspiration).

[RK]:But we established many generations, and, because of the length of time, (they deviated). Nor were you among the people of Midyan, reciting our revelations to them. But we did send messengers.

Qul fa/too bikitabin min AAindi Allahihuwa ahda minhuma attabiAAhu in kuntum sadiqeenaقل فاتوا بكتاب من عند الله هو اهدي منهما اتبعه ان كنتم صادقين
[YA]: Say: "Then bring ye a Book from Allah, which is a better guide than either of them, that I may follow it! (do), if ye are truthful!"

[RK]:Say, "Then produce a scripture from GOD with better guidance than the two, so I can follow it, if you are truthful."

Wa-itha yutla AAalayhim qalooamanna bihi innahu alhaqqu min rabbinainna kunna min qablihi muslimeenaواذا يتلي عليهم قالوا امنا به انه الحق من ربنا انا كنا من قبله مسلمين
[YA]: And when it is recited to them, they say: "We believe therein, for it is the Truth from our Lord: indeed we have been Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will) from before this.

[RK]:When it is recited to them, they will say, "We believe in it. This is the truth from our Lord. Even before we heard of it, we were submitters."

Wakam ahlakna min qaryatin batiratmaAAeeshataha fatilka masakinuhum lam tuskan minbaAAdihim illa qaleelan wakunna nahnu alwaritheenaوكم اهلكنا من قرية بطرت معيشتها فتلك مساكنهم لم تسكن من بعدهم الا قليلا وكنا نحن الوارثين
[YA]: And how many populations We destroyed, which exulted in their life (of ease and plenty)! now those habitations of theirs, after them, are deserted,- All but a (miserable) few! and We are their heirs!

[RK]:Many a community we annihilated for turning unappreciative of their lives. Consequently, here are their homes, nothing but uninhabited ruins after them, except a few. We were the inheritors.

Wama kana rabbuka muhlikaalqura hatta yabAAatha fee ommiharasoolan yatloo AAalayhim ayatina wamakunna muhlikee alqura illa waahluha thalimoonaوماكان ربك مهلك القري حتي يبعث في امها رسولا يتلو عليهم اياتنا وماكنا مهلكي القري الا واهلها ظالمون
[YA]: Nor was thy Lord the one to destroy a population until He had sent to its centre a messenger, rehearsing to them Our Signs; nor are We going to destroy a population except when its members practise iniquity.

[RK]:For your Lord never annihilates any community without sending a messenger in the midst thereof, to recite our revelations to them. We never annihilate any community, unless its people are wicked.

Wayawma yunadeehim fayaqoolu aynashuraka-iya allatheena kuntum tazAAumoonaويوم يناديهم فيقول اين شركائي الذين كنتم تزعمون
[YA]: That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say "Where are my 'partners'?- whom ye imagined (to be such)?"

[RK]:The day will come when He calls upon them, saying, "Where are those idols you had set up beside Me?"

Qala allatheena haqqaAAalayhimu alqawlu rabbana haola-i allatheenaaghwayna aghwaynahum kama ghawaynatabarra/na ilayka ma kanoo iyyanayaAAbudoonaقال الذين حق عليهم القول ربنا هؤلاء الذين اغوينا اغويناهم كما غوينا تبرانا اليك ماكانوا ايانا يعبدون
[YA]: Those against whom the charge will be proved, will say: "Our Lord! These are the ones whom we led astray: we led them astray, as we were astray ourselves: we free ourselves (from them) in Thy presence: it was not us they worshipped."

[RK]:Those who incurred the judgment will say, "Our Lord, these are the ones we misled; we misled them only because we ourselves had gone astray. We now devote ourselves totally to You. They were not really worshipping us."

Waqeela odAAoo shurakaakumfadaAAawhum falam yastajeeboo lahum waraawoo alAAathabalaw annahum kanoo yahtadoonaوقيل ادعوا شركاءكم فدعوهم فلم يستجيبوا لهم وراوا العذاب لو انهم كانوا يهتدون
[YA]: It will be said (to them): "Call upon your 'partners' (for help)" :they will call upon them, but they will not listen to them; and they will see the Penalty (before them); (how they will wish) 'if only they had been open to guidance!'

[RK]:It will be said, "Call upon your idols (to help you)." They will call upon them, but they will not respond. They will suffer the retribution, and wish that they were guided!

Faamma man taba waamanawaAAamila salihan faAAasa an yakoona minaalmufliheenaفاما من تاب وامن وعمل صالحا فعسي ان يكون من المفلحين
[YA]: But any that (in this life) had repented, believed, and worked righteousness, will have hopes to be among those who achieve salvation.

[RK]:As for those who repent, believe, and lead a righteous life, they will end up with the winners.

Warabbuka yakhluqu ma yashaowayakhtaru ma kana lahumu alkhiyaratu subhanaAllahi wataAAala AAamma yushrikoonaوربك يخلق مايشاء ويختار ماكان لهم الخيرة سبحان الله وتعالي عما يشركون
[YA]: Thy Lord does create and choose as He pleases: no choice have they (in the matter): Glory to Allah! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!

[RK]:Your Lord is the One who creates whatever He wills, and chooses; no one else does any choosing. Glory be to GOD, the Most Exalted. He is far above needing partners.

Wayawma yunadeehim fayaqoolu aynashuraka-iya allatheena kuntum tazAAumoonaويوم يناديهم فيقول اين شركائي الذين كنتم تزعمون
[YA]: The Day that He will call on them, He will say: "Where are my 'partners'? whom ye imagined (to be such)?"

[RK]:The day will come when He asks them, "Where are the idols you had fabricated to rank with Me?"

WanazaAAna min kulli ommatinshaheedan faqulna hatoo burhanakumfaAAalimoo anna alhaqqa lillahi wadallaAAanhum ma kanoo yaftaroonaونزعنا من كل امة شهيدا فقلنا هاتوا برهانكم فعلموا ان الحق لله وضل عنهم ماكانوا يفترون
[YA]: And from each people shall We draw a witness, and We shall say: "Produce your Proof": then shall they know that the Truth is in Allah (alone), and the (lies) which they invented will leave them in lurch.

[RK]:We will select from every community a witness, then say, "Present your proof." They will realize then that all truth belongs with GOD, while the idols they had fabricated will abandon them.

Inna qaroona kana min qawmimoosa fabagha AAalayhim waataynahumina alkunoozi ma inna mafatihahu latanoo-obialAAusbati olee alquwwati ith qalalahu qawmuhu la tafrah inna Allaha layuhibbu alfariheenaان قارون كان من قوم موسي فبغي عليهم واتيناه من الكنوز ماان مفاتحه لتنوء بالعصبة اولي القوة اذ قال له قومه لاتفرح ان الله لايحب الفرحين
[YA]: Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses; but he acted insolently towards them: such were the treasures We had bestowed on him that their very keys would have been a burden to a body of strong men, behold, his people said to him: "Exult not, for Allah loveth not those who exult (in riches).

[RK]:Qaaroon (the slave driver) was one of Moses' people who betrayed them and oppressed them. We gave him so many treasures that the keys thereof were almost too heavy for the strongest hand. His people said to him, "Do not be so arrogant; GOD does not love those who are arrogant.

Fakhasafna bihi wabidarihial-arda fama kana lahu min fi-atin yansuroonahumin dooni Allahi wama kana mina almuntasireenaفخسفنا به وبداره الارض فما كان له من فئة ينصرونه من دون الله وماكان من المنتصرين
[YA]: Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his house; and he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah, nor could he defend himself.

[RK]:We then caused the earth to swallow him and his mansion. No army could have helped him against GOD; he was not destined to be a winner.

[YA]: Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his house; and he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah, nor could he defend himself.

[RK]:We then caused the earth to swallow him and his mansion. No army could have helped him against GOD; he was not destined to be a winner.

Waasbaha allatheenatamannaw makanahu bial-amsi yaqooloona waykaannaAllaha yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashaomin AAibadihi wayaqdiru lawla an manna AllahuAAalayna lakhasafa bina waykaannahu la yuflihualkafiroonaواصبح الذين تمنوا مكانه بالامس يقولون ويكان الله يبسط الرزق لمن يشاء من عباده ويقدر لولا ان من الله علينا لخسف بنا ويكانه لايفلح الكافرون
[YA]: And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: "Ah! it is indeed Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of His servants He pleases! had it not been that Allah was gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up! Ah! those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper."

[RK]:Those who were envious of him the day before said, "Now we realize that GOD is the One who provides for whomever He chooses from among His servants, and withholds. If it were not for GOD's grace towards us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us too. We now realize that the disbelievers never succeed."

Man jaa bialhasanatifalahu khayrun minha waman jaa bialssayyi-atifala yujza allatheena AAamiloo alssayyi-atiilla ma kanoo yaAAmaloonaمن جاء بالحسنة فله خير منها ومن جاء بالسيئة فلا يجزي الذين عملوا السيئات الا ماكانوا يعملون
[YA]: If any does good, the reward to him is better than his deed; but if any does evil, the doers of evil are only punished (to the extent) of their deeds.

[RK]:Whoever works righteousness receives a far better reward. As for those who commit sins, the retribution for their sins is precisely equivalent to their works.

Man kana yarjoo liqaa Allahifa-inna ajala Allahi laatin wahuwa alssameeAAualAAaleemuمن كان يرجو لقاء الله فان اجل الله لات وهو السميع العليم
[YA]: For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah (in the Hereafter, let them strive); for the term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming and He hears and knows (all things).

[RK]:Anyone hoping to meet GOD, (should know that) such a meeting with GOD will most assuredly come to pass. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient.

Waallatheena amanoowaAAamiloo alssalihati lanukaffirannaAAanhum sayyi-atihim walanajziyannahum ahsana allatheekanoo yaAAmaloonaوالذين امنوا وعملوا الصالحات لنكفرن عنهم سيئاتهم ولنجزينهم احسن الذي كانوا يعملون
[YA]: Those who believe and work righteous deeds,- from them shall We blot out all evil (that may be) in them, and We shall reward them according to the best of their deeds.

[RK]:Those who believe and lead a righteous life, we will certainly remit their sins, and will certainly reward them generously for their righteous works.

Wawassayna al-insana biwalidayhihusnan wa-in jahadaka litushrika bee malaysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhumailayya marjiAAukum faonabbi-okum bima kuntum taAAmaloonaووصينا الانسان بوالديه حسنا وان جاهداك لتشرك بي ماليس لك به علم فلا تطعهما الي مرجعكم فانبئكم بما كنتم تعملون
[YA]: We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me (in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have (all) to return to me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did.

[RK]:We enjoined the human being to honor his parents. But if they try to force you to set up idols beside Me, do not obey them. To Me is your ultimate return, then I will inform you of everything you had done.

Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amannabiAllahi fa-itha oothiya fee AllahijaAAala fitnata alnnasi kaAAathabi Allahiwala-in jaa nasrun min rabbika layaqoolunna innakunna maAAakum awa laysa Allahu bi-aAAlama bimafee sudoori alAAalameenaومن الناس من يقول امنا بالله فاذا اوذي في الله جعل فتنة الناس كعذاب الله ولئن جاء نصر من ربك ليقولن انا كنا معكم اوليس الله باعلم بما في صدور العالمين
[YA]: Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah"; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men's oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah! And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation?

[RK]:Among the people there are those who say, "We believe in GOD," but as soon as they suffer any hardship because of GOD, they equate the people's persecution with GOD's retribution. But if blessings from your Lord come your way, they say, "We were with you." Is GOD not fully aware of the people's innermost thoughts?

Walayahmilunna athqalahumwaathqalan maAAa athqalihim walayus-alunna yawmaalqiyamati AAamma kanoo yaftaroonaوليحملن اثقالهم واثقالا مع اثقالهم وليسالن يوم القيامة عما كانوا يفترون
[YA]: They will bear their own burdens, and (other) burdens along with their own, and on the Day of Judgments they will be called to account for their falsehoods.

[RK]:In fact, they will carry their own sins, in addition to loads of other people's sins for which they were responsible. Most certainly, they will be asked on the Day of Resurrection about their false claims.

Wa-ibraheema ith qalaliqawmihi oAAbudoo Allaha waittaqoohu thalikumkhayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoonaوابراهيم اذ قال لقومه اعبدوا الله واتقوه ذلكم خير لكم ان كنتم تعلمون
[YA]: And (We also saved) Abraham: behold, he said to his people, "Serve Allah and fear Him: that will be best for you- If ye understand!

[RK]:Abraham said to his people, "You shall worship GOD, and reverence Him. This is better for you, if you only knew.

Fama kana jawabaqawmihi illa an qaloo oqtuloohu aw harriqoohufaanjahu Allahu mina alnnari inna feethalika laayatin liqawmin yu/minoonaفما كان جواب قومه الا ان قالوا اقتلوه او حرقوه فانجاه الله من النار ان في ذلك لايات لقوم يؤمنون
[YA]: So naught was the answer of (Abraham's) people except that they said: "Slay him or burn him." But Allah did save him from the Fire. Verily in this are Signs for people who believe.

[RK]:The only response from his people was their saying, "Kill him, or burn him." But GOD saved him from the fire. This should provide lessons for people who believe.

A-innakum lata/toona alrrijalawataqtaAAoona alssabeela wata/toona fee nadeekumualmunkara fama kana jawaba qawmihi illaan qaloo i/tina biAAathabi Allahi inkunta mina alssadiqeenaائنكم لتاتون الرجال وتقطعون السبيل وتاتون في ناديكم المنكر فما كان جواب قومه الا ان قالوا ائتنا بعذاب الله ان كنت من الصادقين
[YA]: "Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth."

[RK]:"You practice sex with the men, you commit highway robbery, and you allow all kinds of vice in your society." The only response from his people was to say, "Bring to us GOD's retribution, if you are truthful."

Walamma jaat rusulunaibraheema bialbushra qaloo innamuhlikoo ahli hathihi alqaryati inna ahlaha kanoothalimeenaولما جاءت رسلنا ابراهيم بالبشري قالوا انا مهلكوا اهل هذه القرية ان اهلها كانوا ظالمين
[YA]: When Our Messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said: "We are indeed going to destroy the people of this township: for truly they are (addicted to) crime."

[RK]:When our messengers went to Abraham with good news (about Isaac's birth), they also said, "We are on our way to annihilate the people of that town (Sodom), for its people have been wicked."

Qala inna feeha lootanqaloo nahnu aAAlamu biman feehalanunajjiyannahu waahlahu illa imraatahu kanat minaalghabireenaقال ان فيها لوطا قالوا نحن اعلم بمن فيها لننجينه واهله الا امراته كانت من الغابرين
[YA]: He said: "But there is Lut there." They said: "Well do we know who is there : we will certainly save him and his following,- except his wife: she is of those who lag behind!"

[RK]:He said, "But Lot is living there." They said, "We are fully aware of everyone who lives in it. We will of course save him and his family, except his wife; she is doomed."

Walamma an jaat rusulunalootan see-a bihim wadaqa bihim tharAAan waqaloola takhaf wala tahzan inna munajjookawaahlaka illa imraataka kanat mina alghabireenaولما ان جاءت رسلنا لوطا سيئ بهم وضاق بهم ذرعا وقالوا لاتخف ولاتحزن انا منجوك واهلك الا امراتك كانت من الغابرين
[YA]: And when Our Messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account, and felt himself powerless (to protect) them: but they said: "Fear thou not, nor grieve: we are (here) to save thee and thy following, except thy wife: she is of those who lag behind.

[RK]:When our messengers arrived at Lot's place, they were mistreated, and he was embarrassed by their presence. But they said, "Have no fear, and do not worry. We will save you and your family, except your wife; she is doomed.

Inna munziloona AAala ahli hathihialqaryati rijzan mina alssama-i bima kanooyafsuqoonaانا منزلون علي اهل هذه القرية رجزا من السماء بما كانوا يفسقون
[YA]: "For we are going to bring down on the people of this township a Punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious."

[RK]:"We will pour upon the people of this town a disaster from the sky, as a consequence of their wickedness."

WaAAadan wathamooda waqad tabayyanalakum min masakinihim wazayyana lahumu alshshaytanuaAAmalahum fasaddahum AAani alssabeeli wakanoomustabsireenaوعادا وثمود وقد تبين لكم من مساكنهم وزين لهم الشيطان اعمالهم فصدهم عن السبيل وكانوا مستبصرين
[YA]: (Remember also) the 'Ad and the Thamud (people): clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate): the Evil One made their deeds alluring to them, and kept them back from the Path, though they were gifted with intelligence and skill.

[RK]:Similarly, 'Aad and Thamoud (were annihilated). This is made manifest to you through their ruins. The devil had adorned their works in their eyes, and had diverted them from the path, even though they had eyes.

Waqaroona wafirAAawna wahamanawalaqad jaahum moosa bialbayyinati faistakbaroofee al-ardi wama kanoo sabiqeenaوقارون وفرعون وهامان ولقد جاءهم موسي بالبينات فاستكبروا في الارض وماكانوا سابقين
[YA]: (Remember also) Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us).

[RK]:Also Qaaroon, Pharaoh, and Hamaan; Moses went to them with clear signs. But they continued to commit tyranny on earth. Consequently, they could not evade (the retribution).

Fakullan akhathna bithanbihifaminhum man arsalna AAalayhi hasiban waminhum manakhathat-hu alssayhatu waminhum mankhasafna bihi al-arda waminhum man aghraqnawama kana Allahu liyathlimahumwalakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoonaفكلا اخذنا بذنبه فمنهم من ارسلنا عليه حاصبا ومنهم من اخذته الصيحة ومنهم من خسفنا به الارض ومنهم من اغرقنا وماكان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا انفسهم يظلمون
[YA]: Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.

[RK]:All those disbelievers were doomed as a consequence of their sins. Some of them we annihilated by violent winds, some were annihilated by the quake, some we caused the earth to swallow, and some we drowned. GOD is not the One who wronged them; it is they who wronged their own souls.

Fakullan akhathna bithanbihifaminhum man arsalna AAalayhi hasiban waminhum manakhathat-hu alssayhatu waminhum mankhasafna bihi al-arda waminhum man aghraqnawama kana Allahu liyathlimahumwalakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoonaفكلا اخذنا بذنبه فمنهم من ارسلنا عليه حاصبا ومنهم من اخذته الصيحة ومنهم من خسفنا به الارض ومنهم من اغرقنا وماكان الله ليظلمهم ولكن كانوا انفسهم يظلمون
[YA]: Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.

[RK]:All those disbelievers were doomed as a consequence of their sins. Some of them we annihilated by violent winds, some were annihilated by the quake, some we caused the earth to swallow, and some we drowned. GOD is not the One who wronged them; it is they who wronged their own souls.

Mathalu allatheena ittakhathoomin dooni Allahi awliyaa kamathali alAAankabootiittakhathat baytan wa-inna awhana albuyooti labaytualAAankabooti law kanoo yaAAlamoonaمثل الذين اتخذوا من دون الله اولياء كمثل العنكبون اتخذت بيتا وان اوهن البيوت لبيت العنكبوت لو كانوا يعلمون
[YA]: The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spider's house;- if they but knew.

[RK]:The allegory of those who accept other masters beside GOD is that of the spider and her home; the flimsiest of all homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.

[YA]: On the Day that the Punishment shall cover them from above them and from below them, and (a Voice) shall say: "Taste ye (the fruits) of your deeds!"

[RK]:The day will come when the retribution overwhelms them, from above them and from beneath their feet; He will say, "Taste the consequences of your works."

[YA]: What is the life of this world but amusement and play? but verily the Home in the Hereafter,- that is life indeed, if they but knew.

[RK]:This worldly life is no more than vanity and play, while the abode of the Hereafter is the real life, if they only knew.

[YA]: Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls.

[RK]:Have they not roamed the earth and noted the consequences for those who preceded them? They used to be more powerful, more prosperous, and more productive on earth. Their messengers went to them with clear signs. Consequently, GOD was not the One who wronged them; they are the ones who wronged their own souls.

[YA]: In the long run evil in the extreme will be the End of those who do evil; for that they rejected the Signs of Allah, and held them up to ridicule.

[RK]:The consequences for those who committed evil had to be evil. That is because they rejected GOD's revelations, and ridiculed them.

[YA]: No intercessor will they have among their "Partners" and they will (themselves) reject their "Partners".

[RK]:Their idols will have no power to intercede on their behalf; on the contrary, they will disown their idols.

Mina allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanooshiyaAAan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoonaمن الذين فرقوا دينهم وكانوا شيعا كل حزب بما لديهم فرحون
[YA]: Those who split up their Religion, and become (mere) Sects,- each party rejoicing in that which is with itself!

[RK]:(Do not fall in idol worship,) like those who divide their religion into sects; each party rejoicing with what they have.

Am anzalna AAalayhim sultananfahuwa yatakallamu bima kanoo bihi yushrikoonaام انزلنا عليهم سلطانا فهو يتكلم بما كانوا به يشركون
[YA]: Or have We sent down authority to them, which points out to them the things to which they pay part-worship?

[RK]:Have we given them authorization that justifies their idolatry?

[YA]: Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those before (you): Most of them worshipped others besides Allah."

[RK]:Say, "Roam the earth and note the consequences for those before you." Most of them were idol worshipers.

Walaqad arsalna min qablika rusulanila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinatifaintaqamna mina allatheena ajramoo wakanahaqqan AAalayna nasru almu/mineenaولقد ارسلنا من قبلك رسلا الي قومهم فجاؤوهم بالبينات فانتقمنا من الذين اجرموا وكان حقا علينا نصر المؤمنين
[YA]: We did indeed send, before thee, messengers to their (respective) peoples, and they came to them with Clear Signs: then, to those who transgressed, We meted out Retribution: and it was due from Us to aid those who believed.

[RK]:We have sent messengers before you to their people, with profound signs. Subsequently, we punished those who transgressed. It is our duty that we grant victory to the believers.
